The Autocratic Federated Empire of Akimonad
Declaration of Annexation

Issued 17 September, 67 ACD

The Autocratic Federated Empire of Akimonad hereby annexes the Confederacy of The Far Echo Islands, and any associated territories or possessions.

Should the Far Echo Islands agree immediately, the following conditions will be met:
1) The current government of CFEI shall remain in place.

2) CFEI will receive full military defense from Akimonad.

3) Akimonad will halt its whale and dolphin harvesting programs.

4) Akimonad will enter into trade and intellectual exchange agreements.

5) All trials in CFEI will be attended by an Akimonadi observer.

6) All terrorists or related criminals will be tried by an Akimonadi court.

7) CFEI shall be free to enter into any conflict it deems absolutely necessary for defense.

8) CFEI shall not be subject to Akimonadi drafts or participation in military operations.

9) CFEI shall receive armaments, vehicles and naval assets from Akimonad at reduced costs.

10) CFEI shall enter into a permanent nonaggression pact with Akimonad.

11) All CFEI citizens shall be permitted to enter Akimonadi programs, such as the ADF Space Division.

12) CFEI shall be allowed to petition Akimonad for an amendment to these terms.

Should CFEI choose to resist, we will take the land by force.

A regiment of marines and their associated fleet will disembark shortly to meet with a delegation of the Islander leaders to sign and agreed to this Declaration.

Officially Sealed and Issued,

Dr. Jules Hodz,
First Minister

Official Government Response

It is not typical of this nation to embrace one trying to take it over, we have not forgotten the wars against the Holy Sound and Echo Empires; however, due to the freedom permitted by the terms presented, and for the greater pursuit of world peace in order to avoid a long and drawn out conflict with the Autocratic Federated Empire, we will hereby accept these terms of annexation.

With Great Sincerity,

Official Communiqué - Federation of Caelapes - Executive Office of the Prime Minister

Encrypted Message

To the First Minister of Akimonad:

We extend our congratulations to you in your peaceful annexation of the Far Echo Islands. Although some members of Parliament were at first against the idea of Caelapes joining the Coalition of Allied Powers due to its stance on imperialism, the knowledge that such actions can be taken without bloodshed or particularly heightened tensions eases the minds of the entire Caelapene government. Should you require any assistance with the governance of your new annexation, the Government of Caelapes shall do its best to help you and your people.

Dum spiramus tuebimur.

Prime Minister, Federation of Caelapes

Ministry of State

We congratulate Akimonad on its successful annexation of CEFI as it is a victory for their nation as well as the CAP alliance. In addition, we have our own strategic interests in the region to consider and hope your nation will listen to our proposal. Our government is constantly seeking opportunities to construct new enclaves around the world, for our benefit as well as those of the nation which grants us the territory.

We require nothing more than a single island for this project, and the benefits are considerable. If you host a Vetalian enclave in the CEFI, you will:

1. Have an allied nation in close proximity in the event of problems.
2. Have a very powerful economic base which will generate significant revenue for your government through economic acceleration.
3. Give the CAP and your nation even more control over the country due to the sheer economic influence of the enclave, which will likely be enough to eventually dominate the local economy.

In addition, military forces will be dispatched to the area to ensure its security, although they are a mere garrison of 10,000 troops and a small naval force for anti-piracy operations.

Consider it, and we will pay you generously if you accept.
Regards,
Proconsul Eveginy Alabayev

The government of Fordock urges the Government of the Confederate States of the Far Echo Islands against accepting Vetalian enclaves on your land. We also question your decision on the Akimond issue. We ask if you are planning to resist as it seems you were forced into this action. Or did you just decide to give up all your rights? If you let them in now they can gradually take power while beating you over the head with their military. If you decide to resist this train of events Fordock has a gift for you that you will find useful.

May your decision be wise

Sincerely
Aukron Mekhrat
Minister of Diplomacy

We do not feel it is in the best present interests of both Akimonad and CFEI to accept foreign enclaves. Therefore your offer is politely declined/deferred.

It had not taken long for the First CFEI Detatchment to reach the waters of the Far Echo Islands. The ships of the detatchment, having fulfilled their mission, prepared to dock, alert for any treachery that may be attempted.

Proconsul Frederick Bremer stood on the deck of the flagship, the AMS Hodz, surveying the land in front of him. It was a great land, filled with great people, that he was to govern gently.

The Kiravian Empire, like our Fordockian friends, also questions the motives behind your decision, and agree that it seems forced.

Shortly off topic, we petition to Akimonad to let our forces remain in CFEI territory, as they are involved in a aftermath-management operation there to aid the CFEI.

Returning to the main topic, the Empire, as a representative of the Utopian Commonwealth, recognizes the continuing membership of the CFEI in said commonwealth.

We also inquire wheather the CFEI wil be permitted to trade freely with the us, and aid the Empire in defencive issues, per the terms of our alliance to them.

As of yet, we have no negative or positive position on this annexation, but will form one once information is recieved.

Also, if your forces in CFEI were part of official CFEI policy prior to the annexation, then we cannot interfere, pursuant to the agreement.

However, CFEI will only be allowed to participate in operations it deems absolutely necessary for defense. If that consists of assisting the defense of an ally such as Kirav, then so be it, though CFEI will receive no help from Akimonad in matters not relating directly to the defense of its lands.

IC:

Well, if you refer to us in such crude terms, we can assure you that your troops will not remain in CFEI long.

However, if you retract your heinous insult, we will allow your troops to stay, pursuant to the agreement.

And this is also quite the opposite of "imperialist aggression". It is our opinion that the Confederacy of the Far Echo Islands needs a steadfast defender, and we could see no other alternative.

"I hope so too." Bremer said, handing a stack of papers to the Arbiter. "You may wish to keep this as a copy of the agreement."

Bremer turned around to face the flagpole on the massive Super Dreadnaught. A drummer began playing a slow beat on a snare drum. Two uniformed seamen slowly began pulling the Akimonadi Naval Standard down. Once they had it down, they folded it into a triangle shape. One of the men marched over to Bremer, saluted and handed him the flag. Bremer turned around to the Arbiter.

"I present to you, and the people of the Far Echo Islands, the Super Dreadnaught AMS Hodz. It is hereby transferred to Echoese control. Do with it what you will." he said.

He handed the Arbiter the folded flag. "You shall find everything in working order. Our crew is prepared to train those that may work on this ship."
