Red Tide2

If one were to watch the news of Red Tide, and was particularly lucky, they would eventually hear something about 'Bolshevik terrorists' who had failed to do such-and-such. They never hear these 'Bolsheviks' succeeding.

The 'Bolsheviks' was actually the 'Democratic Liberation Front of Red Tide', a democratic-socialist rebel movement inside the Totalitarian State. Their chances of success have been hovering between 0 and 1% ever since they first formed. Yet the Red Tide Government never really got around to stamping them out for good because of one reason or another.

The outside world did not even know their existence, so it would come as quite a surprise to some intellegince agencies when they picked up a radio message amongst all the signals being put out by the Red Tide propaganda machine:

"This is Mervonshik Kaveronisk Gorbativ, for the the radio of the Democratic Liberation Front of Red Tide. A good morning to everyone on our frequency. Things remain grim here, the State continues to transport our oppressed comrades to the Gulags and mass graves. We hope one day the foreign powers will notice us... but, oh! The State is trying to find this signal, this is Radio Gorbativ, signing off."

It wasnt anymore then fifteen minutes later then the general area the signal had been coming from was carpet bombed into oblivion by a squadron of strategic bombers. But it was already too late, some foreign intellegince agency must have heard the signal. And as it would turn out, the Red Tidean Airforce had destroyed the area too late.
Anagonia

The Anagonian Chief General observed the rising obscure threat from Red Tide. He remembered the last time the Republic faced down the Red Tideian forces, and lost. Although the Anagonian-Led Coalition succeeded in freeing the nation in question, Anagonia had to ask for a cease-fire and manage the end diplomatically. Red Tide was far too much for the Military Might of Anagonia, and probably would be for years to come.

So, Oscar Vladinchi just ignored the report. He forwarded a copy to the allied colonies of the Republic. Perhaps for future reference Anagonia would come back for another try. But right now, Oscar couldn't imagine facing the Tideians for nothing but bragging rights. The Republic Military was in prime condition for it, but he wouldn't allow it. Anagonia had more peaceful endeavours to contribute to.

Perhaps one day Drakomis would return to end the stale-mate, and the only Lost War that Anagonia has suffered since its creation.
