Overview:

This thread is what you may call a culmination of my years of work on NS and have examined many of my different threads, of which many people here on NS may know and taken part of in the past. As such I have decided to take some ideas from other authors, in the case of the format of my opening posts in this thread to DMG as I realized that the format of his own thread is quite good and could be used to this thread’s own thread.

The main conflict of this thread is the raise of the Xelitor, who are an advanced warrior race which is now meant on the purging and enslavement of all sentient life in the galaxy that is ‘inferior’ to them, which in the mind of Xelitor is essentially all races save the Eternals whom they see as their creators.

As for the Eternals role in the universe they are like the Precursors in this version of the Milk Way, save that the Eternals did not leave large caches of their technology as the Eternals upon their leaving of this galaxy with them all their more advanced technologies leaving only a few libraries, beacons, teleportation systems (which are on nearly every key world and instantly transport you to one of eleven worlds), and the Bastion which serves as the center of the Alliance.

The Alliance itself is made up of a huge amount of race that now stand together in the face of the thread that the Xelitor pose to all free races of the galaxies. The Alliance has managed to gather enough forces to resist the nearly infinite might of the Xelitor for the last few decades which has allowed the galaxy to recover somewhat, but a covered up fact is that the Xelitor simply shifted the focus of their attack to other parts of the galaxy after the Alliance’s great ‘victory’. So in the decades following that battle the Alliance has slowly shifted to an oligarchy of species with the most common species, humans, leading the Alliance in the war and the other species taking in a compliant role as the leading species fight by themselves mostly.

Plot:

As the plot evolves more be revealed, but you make take in a role as a Xelitor, slave warrior even, or as a member of the Alliance from any race that you may think of. Yet, you will be taking a role in the galaxy in the struggle that will decide the future of this galaxy and you take command of a crew and/or unit that is in the war, or you may decide to do action behind the lines, in many different ways;).

Rules:

1. No overtly powerful characters as if a character survive a direct shot from a battleship when on the ground it has to be for a God damn god reason.
2. Do not take command of essential non playable characters.
3. Respect the other chain of command, so when get a command NPC or player listen, but remember you can always read in between the lines or just simply leave that group.
4. Be courteous to the other rpers.
5. Follow my rulings.
6. Failure to follow these rules may well result in serious action being taken by me or another mod.
7. My rulings are the supreme, though you may put out logical fallacies in them or that they are overtly harsh.
8. There will be no real gods or influences, otherwise you may not have magical powers.
9. You cannot start out as one of the four highest ranks of that group.

Liberties:

1. When creating a characters you may create your own race on either the Xelitor Domain or Alliance’s side, though as for the Xelitor you cannot rise above the rank of a Xelitor due to the obvious specism of that group.
2. You may make up slurs against other races.
3. You may a Xelitor, except you cannot of the four highest ranks.
4. Create a ship of any reasonable size for your use, so no Death Stars period and no ships the size of bloody Super Star Destroyers for use by rpers in the beginning.
5. Also, please feel free to ask questions due to it helping this thread to run smoother and help everyone enjoy this thread more.:)

Though anything that affects you and other rpers who are willing you can have side threads that detail what they are doing or have a key part of their past come up. Hull: Cortosis/antimatter armor. Cortosis armor is a extremely durable metal, resistant to even a lightsaber. Your average laser bolt from a small arms weapon just bounces off. It is very hard to make a dent in the armor, and has a very high melting/breaking point. The antimatter armor has been modified so as to disintigrate any projectile weapons, as well as any solid object that comes in contact with the hull. One must use plasma or lasers to get though, as the antimatter can stop even a ship-fired MAC round easily.
Armament: Dual forward blaster cannons, top and bottom automated repeating turrets, a proton torpedo/cuncussion missile launcher, a swiviling Ion cannon mounted near the engines
Shields: Strong, Kuat-made, projectiles have little affect

He has regenerative abilites and a crystaline bone structure (known as Ostios Necros) that is incredibly strong and can extend around his fingers like claws. The Osteo Necros can also channel bioelectrical energy through the body.
Mental Traits: Normal mind, very cunning and smart
Mental Abilities: No psychic abilites
Bio: The Xjum'bii are a dead race, not in that they don't exist but in that their people are in fact dead creatures. A symbiote known as the Blyte infects a carcass and reanimates the tissue, resurrecting the creature. The host and symbiote are one and forever united unless someone destroyes the Blyte's nucleus. Khaltax is one of the few Xjum'bii that are still alive and one of the fewer that have kept sapience. He travels the stars as an independent military contractor for several races, collecting money for his work. He is proficent with his Gauss Pistol and his Rift Blade, a special blade from unknown origins that can cut through most objects with relative ease.

The symbiote that he has does not spread, nor take over other hosts. And it is the last of its kind so when it dies, it dies for good. Basically, this man is a zombie (for lack of a better word) that can shoot bioelectricity and move and talk like a normal person. The symbiote inside of him is not important and has no sentience. Is this ok?

Is this ok?Well, for the symbiote's ability to restore faded away brain cells it would be impossible(due to oxygen depravation and to answer this the creature can simply go into the body soon after the body was dead and then repair destroyed cells though it it was after about an three hours or more after the person's death then they would suffer large amounts of memory loss), though to note if you were to change the limbs to being simply destored and restored then it would be quite good as cells with the same purpouses as stem cells to restore body parts and nerve system so you would be fine. So just change the rotted limbs and you would be fine, as for the forming of the blade it is fine as it could create an ultra hard bone like substance quickly (though he would have to have a good large diet to do so, about twice the normal amount of food needed to maintain the ability due to the energy needed to regnerate cells at such a rate).

Such as Pyrokinesis being started by rapiding increasing electron flow to start a spark and there by spreading it using hte same principle.

Folding Drives: Allows for long distance warping by folding two points in space together to instantly jump to another area. Must be recalibrated every 300 light-years to ensure the safety of the crew as folding space is a dangerous technique and if not calibrated, can rip the ship asunder.

Inertia Dampening System MkII: A system that lowers the effects of inertia on a ship, allowing for sharper turns at higher speeds.

Perpetual Falling Engines: For long distance cruising. These engines created a small wormhole in front of the ship that absorbs the ship towards it, however, the ship's front is protected by a high level EM field that repels the wormhole with a force equal to the wormhole's pulling force, cause the ship to perpetually "fall" through space at nigh-light speeds. Once again the engines must be calibrated or the ship will indeed fall into the wormhole's dangerous singularity.

Cauterization Nanotechnology: The Ossuary has on her hull special pores that release nanobots to make necessary repairs to the ship's hull and electrical systems.

OCTI/RIE Colloid: (Optical Camouflage & Tachyon Inhibitor by Refractive Index Equilibrium) This is a special chemical spread around the hull of the ship from the nanobots that enable the ship's refractive index to match the medium of its environment, making it invisible to the naked eye. This colloid also inhibits most sensors from picking up the Ossuary on their radar, although more advanced radars can see through the veil of deception.

Ion Particle Dampening Shield: Advanced Shield that can take most energy shots from fighters but not capital ships. Weaker against ionized solid shot weaponry.

Armament: 2 forward sponson mounted Tesla Cannons, 2 full rotation High-Velocity Laser Cannons, 2 torpedo ports (8 bombs).


Bio: The Ossuary is a living relic, a ship of an ancient and long dead race known as the Xjhum'bii. It is basically an advanced scouter outfitted for skirmishes against other fighters. The Ossuary is very fast and stealth, however, it cannot take many solid shot hits. Its weaponry is of a medium strength, capable of taking down the average fighter.

Bio: Tobo is the bastard son of a prostitute and a soldier, he was born during the 9 year long Siege of Corrigan VII and by the end of the siege was taking an active role in the close quarters fighting with the Xelitor in the hive city’s sewer network.

He joined the Alliance at the age of 16, spending the intervening time as a pick-pocket and enforcer for a local gang. His first posting was as a crewman on the Savage, which was boarded during the Battle of Hurthestus. After the Captain had ordered an evacuation (leaving the ship to the Xelitor) Tobo led a small party to the bridge, fighting tooth and nail in the ships maintenance ducts, and succeeded in ramming a Xelitor Cruiser before escaping himself.

In the aftermath of the battle he was held up as a hero and commissioned (due to the huge fleet officer loses during the battle), he spent the rest of his career working his way through the ranks until he gained command of the Cruiser Pursuer.

After the Captain had ordered an evacuation (leaving the ship to the Xelitor) Tobo led a small party to the bridge, fighting tooth and nail in the ships maintenance ducts, and succeeded in ramming a Xelitor Cruiser before escaping himself.

In the aftermath of the battle he was held up as a hero and commissioned (due to the huge fleet officer loses during the battle), he spent the rest of his career working his way through the ranks until he gained command of the Cruiser Pursuer.

OCTI/RIE Colloid: (Optical Camouflage & Tachyon Inhibitor by Refractive Index Equilibrium) This is a special chemical spread around the hull of the ship from the nanobots that enable the ship's refractive index to match the medium of its environment, making it invisible to the naked eye. This colloid also inhibits most sensors from picking up the Ossuary on their radar, although more advanced radars can see through the veil of deception.

Ion Particle Dampening Shield: Advanced Shield that can take most energy shots from fighters but not capital ships. Weaker against ionized solid shot weaponry.

Armament: 2 forward sponson mounted Tesla Cannons, 2 full rotation High-Velocity Laser Cannons, 2 torpedo ports (8 bombs).


Bio: The Ossuary is a living relic, a ship of an ancient and long dead race known as the Xjhum'bii. It is basically an advanced scouter outfitted for skirmishes against other fighters. The Ossuary is very fast and stealth, however, it cannot take many solid shot hits. Its weaponry is of a medium strength, capable of taking down the average fighter.

The Star Snake quickly got beyond the range of the Avalan ship's hyperdrive dampening effect and jumped for Palvonia, it's highly illegal cargo safe in it's hold.

Indeed. Mostly precious gems and ores, and a some tech too for a crime lord. There mercs/smugglers, but not pirates. Being a pirate is not as profitable as it sounds, actually.

Soon to Occur Off-screen events may radically alter Avalas. A change in diplomacy may be in order. Also, if you are familiar with the Eldar of Warhammer40k, these advancements may put the people on a substantially sub-par, but comparable, equivalent. Is this appropriate?

Note: This may not affect my main character any time in the near future, but it may alter his decisions, and may bring new ones into play.
