The United Kingdom of Tristan Providence is a huge, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 240 million have some civil rights, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, and take part in free and open elections.

The medium-sized government concentrates mainly on Education, although Administration and Defence are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 15%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Cheese Exports industries.

The nation is ravaged by daily union strikes, euthanasia is legal, medical lawsuits are out of control, and strict term limits have been applied to all elected offices. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Tristan Providence's national animal is the Raven, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Dollar.

Government:

The Government of Tristan Providence is a constitutional monarchy. A constitutional monarchy is a form of government established under a constitutional system which acknowledges an elected or hereditary monarch as head of state, as opposed to an absolute monarchy, where the monarch is not bound by a constitution and is the sole source of political power. The process of government and law within a constitutional monarchy is usually very different from that in an absolute monarchy.

The Head of State of Tristan Providence is the King or Queen. The Government is run by the Prime Minister and Parliament. The Prime Minister appoints his cabinet of minister’s incharge of the sections of Government. Parliament votes and drafts laws into being in Tristan Providence. There are a total of 42 seats in Parliament. 2 for each Duchy.

The United Kingdom is divided into Duchies. Much like states the counties elect there own local officials. Except for the Duke or Duchess who is the Head of the Duchy. Each Duchy has 2 seats in Parliament.
