Funeral of Bill Ashley Jr

Solenial
15-09-2007, 13:50
After years of Leading the Hurzi people, on the 15th September 2007, at the age of 35, Former Premier and Chief Advisor Bill Ashley Junior was Assasinated by a Man who will not be named. He will Face the electric chair.

As he was saying his speech, expressing how he wanted to restore Peace in Bjornoschkodel, Bill Ashley was shoy in the Head. Both Bjorn and Hurzi people were distraught on this matter and the President of Solenial had this to say

During his time, me and Mr Ashley were not very good friends. But it saddens me to see me standing here, saying this speech for a man who had wiped the slate clean, and still had his life cut short. Today, at this funeral we remember Bill Ashley... but we also remember all the Soldiers from Bjornoschkodel, Solenial, Alfegos and Turinas who have also died in this start of Peace in a broken Nation.

The speech was applauded by everyone and even the Chieftan of Bjornoschkodel who had grew up despising Mr Ashley but in the end Admired him.

The Solenial National Anthem, Canon was playing in the background (as Bjornoschkodel had yet to establish a National Anthem) and the Solen Flag (http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/4/47/150px-Kent_flag.svg.png) and the Bjornhurz, short name for Bjornoschkodel now, flag (http://www.geocities.com/scansoccinci/IcelandicFlag.gif) Flew above the Coffin,

Grand Count Gutta sighed. It was not a nice way to begin your first official visit to a new allies country, but at least there was no war. Governor Geoffrey Baktak of Saint-Tropez, formerly Captain of the 3rd Freedom Fighters Detatchment, was at his side, obviously trying to hold back the tears.

Gutta stood up, and made his speech in front of the assembled Bjornhurz public.

"I never met the Chief Advisor, but my friend, Governor Baktak tells me that from the few conversations they shared over e-mail, he was a strong, if misguided, man, who did not deserve to die, having apologised for what he had done.

His assistant tells me that my message to him was what changed his mind. I find this a great honour and priveledge. But without further ado, on behalf of the Turinian public, good bye,"

As he finished, a lone trumpeteer sounded, and 10 Veteran Riflers stood up and gave a military salute. Gutta sat back down, anticipating further speeches.
Alfegos

The Alfegos High Marshall of the Expeditionary Force in Solenial, Fre'vai Ti'rylis, flew into the city where the funeral was being held, with a lot on his mind. He could have prevented it. More patrols in the city. More guards at the meeting of powers.

Still, what was done was done.

The jet banked, before descending to land in the Solenial capital.

After the Funeral started, no one expected to see Major General Dickinson. As he walked to the funeral he thought about how strong this man was and how he didn't deserve to die.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Harriet Harman walked towards the President.

"Mr. President, I have you a proposal. As the new governent has formed and there is no more civil war, representing The Royal-Union and his Majesty, King Edward. I come here to propose an allie agreement."

Gutta had walked past and overheard Harman's request. Walking towards the pair, he shook Harriet's hand and nodded to the President respectfully.

"I was just about to ask the same question! Turinas is not prominent on the world stage, and- now I apologise if I'm wrong Mr. Harman- but neither, it seems, is the Royal-Union, however, being in an alliance containing Solenial and possibly Alfegos would perhaps raise our 'reputation' as it were. Not to mention safeguard Bjornhurz from further civil war!" Gutta waited for their reply, and smiled.

Harman looked surprised, these nations ahd been war just days ago and now they were proposing allie agreements. It was very surprising.

"I suggest that if your proposal is accepted we could create a trade agreement. We could create an allie Federation in which more nations may join us."
Harman questioned and looked at both.
