Universia is a sort of rp game thing i'm making here. I don't know if the name of this thread, type of game i'm setting up or the actual story line following it is original since i couldn't be bothered with checking all the other posts. I hope that this thread becomes a least mildly noticed.

Universia is an rp where you get to create and control your own race, you start out with creating a 'profile' for your race. see below for more details on that part.
I WAS going to add below a map of the made up galaxy and you pick out the number it's next to to choose your home system, but then i found out that you can't add pictures that arn't in the internet. So we'll solve that by choosing where your system is (example: North-West, South etc.)

to start of, create a name, description and a very short history of your race. Include a picture if you want. please don't take any of the races from games, t.v shows, books or any other things. i'm not stopping you but originallity can go a long way.
pick a name for you planet, what type of planet it is (volcanic, arctic, etc.), name of your home system (include the word 'capital' next to it to lessen confusion.
And also include a national colour for your race.
now comes the 'strengths' and 'weaknesses'
choose a 'major' strenght for your race and a 'major' weakness as well. and then, if you want, a minor strenght as well. (but you will have to add a minor weakness also).
example:
my race COULD be:
immune to burns but has very little white blood cells (meaning poison and disease is deadlier to them then other races.)
those two would be the major strenght and weakness.
the minor ones COULD be:
can tell what type of flower they are looking at even if they haven't seen a certian type before, BUT they are 'slightly' allergic to all of them.

you can't have more then one major strenght and weakness and can't have more then two minor strenghts and weaknesses. (each added minor strenght equeals another minor weakness).

You can also include a picture of your race's flag though it will only be just there for show.
also include if your race is peaceful, warlike etc. and also what type of government they have (empire, federation. etc)
To play the game, you start out with just your planet completely under your control. you start with your people exploring your system and, after a few submitions, get to explore and claim other systems. Set some 'barriers' along the way (for example, a colony ship gets hit by an asteriod, hotile natives species on a planet, system wide plague.)
You are NOT allowed to pick a system right next to or already inhabited by another player. The reason for this is that when you submit an 'encounter' between the two you already know enough about that particular species to be able to 'act' out how they would react. But don't play god over them. let them have enough 'time' to type their own response, for the sake of fairness.

Also, include some planets in your own system for the sake of exploration as well. You could include 'newly' discovered planets as well after the game is set in, you know.
Since usually it would take years to reach another system, try 'adding' a worm-hole in your system that will lead to another one. everyone will vote where it leads.
i'll start

Race: Draconarria
Family: Reptillian
Speach: usually hissing and the occasianal body language for words that they can't pronounce properly (usually other languages)
Colour: Purple
Government: Empire
Strenghts: Do not need sleep (doesn't mean they can't)
Do not need to blink (doesn't mean they can't)
cannot hold their breathes (constantly needs oxygen)
Not very good at remembering other languages (they can learn them fine, though just remembering is tricky)
History: the Draconarria comes from a group of nomadic tribepeaple that were inited somewhere in their modern age. they are a peacefal race but love to fight at heart.
Description: Draconarrian's look like giant lizards that can walk upright. they stand about 5-6 feet tall and are usually black-purple in colour. Draconarrian's have three fingers and a thumb that all end in very sharp claws. They walk by making sure that their toes and the part below that touch the ground but, for some reason, that the soles of their feet don't. It is fairly easy to tell which are male or female since males have a lizard like face and the females look snake like instead. Despite them being lizards they have no tail.

System location: north-east.
Name of System: Tyrra
Planets: 3 Moons: 5
Planets:
Tyrra Prime (Capital)-Mountian (Type of terrian the planet is)-Large (the size of the planet)
Tyrra I-Gas-Giant
Tyrra II-Arctic-Average
Moons:
Tir I-Rocky-Tiny, Tir II-Desert-Tiny, both circling Tyrra Prime
Tya I-Rocky-Tiny, Tya II-Rocky-Small, Tya III-Ocean-Tiny, all circling Tyrra I

You don't have to include everything on this list and the planet info may be confusing but if you look closly you will eventually work it out.

The Star Keep, the first ever colony ship, it's sleek snake-like design arches across space in search of any thing that it can land on. The purple paint along with the red and green markings of the flag glint freely in the sun light.
The Star Keep will become the first ship that will actually colonize a planet; the two moons circling the home planet are not worth the trouble as everyone can see that they are both wastelands. The Empiress demands that the more...distant lanets be searched.

Kirlak, captian of the Star-Keep, looked out from the window in his quaters. It looked just like a black sheet of paper with silver glitter sprinkled all over it. Not much to look at at all. It was amazing that every one would look up there and marval at it even though it looked like nothing.
Kirlak sighed. Maybe that was the point, nothing; everything had to be filled and everyone knew that. Yet, this space has resisted all attempts since no-matter how much the probes and scout craft can go, the space just streches on.

Kirlak got out of his quarters and made his way down the long, purple and red corridor as some of the people he passed waved quick salutes to him.
he tightened the tie around his neck and proceeded to the bridge. Kirlak had preffered it when he was a mid-shipman, at least you could get around un-noticed quiet alot. But then he had to do TOO well and get himself in charge of his own ship.
Draconarrians prefer to keep out of sight sometimes and being regognized by anyone passing him was the complete opposite.
Kirlak eventually got the the bridge and made his way to his personnal chair.
Looking down at the key board, he reminded himself of something and switched on the mike.
"Ahem." He spoke into the mike. Everyone around him snapped to attention. "Just a reminder that today is Meat-Loaf night, or it could be Meat-Loaf day, whichever one comes first."
He swiched it off and turned back to the large screen in front of him.
There it was, the rocky planet of Tya II. It was as close as it could get to the size of his home planet that was actually in range.
Not much to look at; it looked the same as it was before hand and he had orders to not colonize it. there were about 10,000 people on this ship and usually a rocky planet woul be perfect for a home. But since food would eventually run out he had orders to go the ocean planet of Tya III.
Kirlak sighed agian and slumped back in his chair.
