The Problem:As the population of Tynlandia increases the food levels are being depleted. This problem has been on the table with the Tynlandic Parliament for months now and may have come to a decision. The country needs a decision now as the dry season comes near, with no food the country may not survive.


The Decision: After months of questioning and debating the Tynlandic Parliament has come to a decision. They think it is for the best of the country, What will the rest of the world think?

Prime Minister Faltin appraoches the Podium, Sweating with fear. He does not know how the country will react to the decision the Government has made. He reaches the Podium and beings to speak into the numerous microphones lined along the top. He looks down at his paper and trembles.

He says with a strong voice " I Prime Minister Edward Faltin come here today, to tell you that the Tynlandic Parliament has made a decision, a decision that will change this country forever. "

"The Parliament has decided to ban the reproducing of all third children. This means all Third Born Children that are born from here on now will be executed.

A Large Gasp comes from the Crowd, Instantly wormen and children begin crying.

" Also a new Police force will be instated immedialtly tommorow. They will regulate the Third Born Children, Prisons, and any other jobs that where previously given to by the normal police force. They are the Population Police."

The Prime Minister bows his head and walks away in anger. The crowd is now escorted out of the Courtyard.

The Peoples Republic of The Ryou Black Islands Declares a Embargo on Tynlandia and a Travel ban on that Nation also.

OOC - Ryou despite the fact you have no official trade with him having a capitalistic economy means at least one of your people somewhere trade with that nation and want a unique product from it and they will protest. It might only be a few but to have no trade ties at all can not be enforced except in extreme cases of national anger in which you have no cause to do.

The Vetalian government strongly disapproves of the Tynlandian government's decision to kill people as a way of controlling its population problems, but we also support our Londinian allies in condemning the Ryou blockade considering the simple fact that a starving nation isn't going to be convinced to stop the killing if the problem worsens because of external actions. Instead, we have a solution that will ultimately benefit all parties involved. As you may know, our country has a vast amount of land, both in Vetalia proper and abroad, that is unsettled and untamed, perfect for building new settlements and communities with low cost and abundant opportunities for the residents. We would be willing to take in large numbers of displaced people as a way of not only controlling population problems but also avoiding mass government-sponsored murder.

Given that our country's extremely low unemployment means chronic labor shortages, an influx of fresh workers would be very beneficial and would increase productivity in many key industries, especially agriculture. This in turn would boost exports, including exports to Tynlandia. We can also provide economic credits for developing the agricultural sector to increase the amount of food you can produce domestically, should it be required. On behalf of the people and government of Vetalia, I implore you to consider this program and spare these unfortunate people death for no other reason than existing.

We request that you allow our nation to adopt some of these children. We will provide transport to our nation. Tynlandia Thanks British Londinium for his measures. For this we would like to setup a diplomatic mission to preserve this fragile relationship.

As the tension tightens the Population Police have now taken power over all Police forces. They have also attempted to take over the Government so all Illgeal Third Children will be executed uppon being seen.

The Population Plice has immedialtey activated all of it's forces and is now preparing for a full scale counter offence against this Punitive Nation. The Tynlandic Military's highest Command was killed in the struggle for power making the Population Police in full command of all Tynlandic Operations.

OOC: Assuming you've got a coastline, of course.

Several days pass, and the 200-odd ships of the naval command are within range of Tynlandia, led by a massive pair of superdreadnoughts that compromise the command core of the fleet. With them are hundreds of transport ships and supply craft for the land troops, and in the rear are a group of carriers brimming with planes for strikes against the nation's coast.

Again, the demand that the enemy surrender was made. If they refused now, the military forces would begin moving ashore.

20 Visby class corvettes and 10 UCRA aid ships sped towards Tynlandia, filled with UCRA aid workers and peacekeepers. This convoy was followed by the UWS Jackson, a Nimitz class carrier. On board were 10 F/A-12 fighters, 40 C-2 Hawkeyes for airlifting food, and 40 assorted helicopters that would drop in supply crates and do other roles, such as Medevac and troop insertion

The Population Police is refusing surrender and will fight to the last officer.

The prim,e Minister has escaped on an Helicopter heading for the oncoming ships.

"Very well. The hammer will fall."

With that, a salvo of thousands of shells, missiles, and gunfire from the assembled ships was rained down upon the coast of Tynlandia. 175 fighters of various models took to the skies, launching targeted strikes on known enemy installations and infrastructure with the goal of disrupting the enemy's ability to communicate and fight back.

Meanwhile, the transports prepared themselves and 3,000,000 Vetalian troops supported by tanks, mechanized infantry, APCs, mobile artillery and helicopters, moving in a wedge towards the enemy coastline.

Ok should I turn this into a full scale RP?

About one hundred UCRA helicopters began landing peacekeepers and Cazelian Marines. The peacekeepers were to evacuate the suffering civilians, and the Marines were to take the brunt of the attacks.

Well.. people sending 3 million soldiers and 500 ships to every port... seems like the whole situation would be handled... so I guess there is no point in me joining the RP....

Well if they are doing it in the sign ups, they are going to do it in the actual RP... a nation such as mine with a population of about 4x yours really has no course of action that it can take...

What I'm saying is I onl;y got this thread for intereest as you can see I have posted a Thread for sign-ups. This thread is no longer is any real use.
