History:
The Ethereal I rocket is an expendable launch vehicle formerly built by Tristan Providence Defense Industries. Tristan Providence Defense Industries develops and manufactures the Ethereal I boosters. The rocket itself is built in 2 separate places. The First stage is built at the Aerospace Engineering plant, Conchobhar. The second stage is built at the Technology Research lab, Aonghus.

The call to build the Ethereal I Rocket came when the RPAF sent out request for a 2 stage cargo rocket to launch Providence satellites and stations into space. The Tistan Providence Parliament issue number 1222, formally known as (Space Incentive Bill) specified the parameters the RAPF needed. The bill specified the rocket must be 2 stages, able to transport cargo into low-earth orbit, and have a thrust of 4,100 kN. When these parameters were issued a number of corporations took up the call to build such a rocket. A number of designs were presented to the RPAF board of experts. 2 designs stood out to the board. The Sevan Aerospace Corporation’s Dart I, and the Tristan Providence Defense Industries Ethereal I. Each company was given a total of 750 Million dollars, and a deadline of 3 months to build a prototype of their rocket. When the 3 months were up each company reviled their launch vehicles to the board. A panel of technological experts inspected both cargo rockets. A series of tests on the engines were conducted and 2 launches each were conducted with mock cargo. In the end the board chose the Ethereal I launch vehicle as the choice cargo rocket for the RPAF.

Tech Overview:
The First stage of the Ethereal I is powered by 1 LB-22 solid rocket booster which produces a total thrust of 4,100 kN. This allows the rocket to exit the earth’s lower atmosphere. The LB-22 boosters use the RP-1/LOX solid rocket fuel. This is the same fuel that the USAF uses in their Atlas rockets.

The Second stage is powered by LB-2 booster. It propels the vehicle into parking orbit, allowing it to transport its cargo. The Ethereal upper stage uses a pressure stabilized propellant tank design and cryogenic propellants. The Ethereal engines are capable of multiple in-space starts, making possible insertion into low-earth parking orbit. The total thrust of the second stage is 4,100 kN. A consecutive third burn following a multi-hour coast can permit direct injection of payloads into geostationary orbit. The burn time of the second stage is 250 seconds which has been found to be enough time to deliver a variety of cargo.

The Ethereal I can carry up to 10,000 - 20,000 kg into low earth orbit. This allows it to carry most satellites designed in Tristan Providence. Most satellites that the Ethereal I will be carrying will be for military communication and visual identification.

Organization:

* A fire team is the basic element of the GCE. It consists of four Marines: three riflemen and a team leader, typically a Corporal or Lance Corporal.
* A squad is made up of three fire teams, led by a Corporal or Sergeant as squad leader.
* A rifle platoon consists of three squads, a Medic, a Platoon Sergeant, and a Platoon Commander. A weapons platoon will substitute for the squads a 60mm mortar section, an assault section, and a medium machine gun (Mk 48 Mod 0 machine gun) section. It is led by a 2nd or 1st Lieutenant.
