President Jack R.Arnold walked up to the podium in the Slovick Theater and said his booming voice echoing throughout the room, newscameras were pointed at him and he said "Today, I am sad to announce this, I am resigning a s President of Calizorinstan. I am infact, the last President now, I have some incredible news.." He smiled and said "My son, General John Arnold is now Kaiser Johann the 1st of Calizorinstan, we have restored the monarchy that our ancestors established 30 score years ago. I will simply be the Prime Minister, but I will still have some control, since I am his father.." Laughter erupted and the new Kaiser joined in, and as he stepped out onto the stage and sat in a chair:

He smiled and he said "Hail Friends!, I am pleased to announce that I am the new Kaiser, or King you may call me. I have some bright new ideas for this nation, but it shall remain in the Soviet Commonwealth, the UFAN, GDI, and others. We shall look to improve relations with British Londinium to strengthen relations between the two nations, and we shall we more proactive in the coming years."

"The military is going nicely, what with the first FB-22 squadron going active at Castle, and the first F-40 Bird of Prey squadron already in training. I look forward to the coming years as your head of state."

"We shall work more closely with our allies in general, and I urge you to co-operate with our fellow Soviet Commonwealth nations. We have done so remarkably well in the past, and on that path we must continue to follow.
We must eliminate all terrorists from Calizorinstan, or potential ones also. I have a message to any terrorists within our nation, if you are not with me, you are my enemy, and I shall not stop to make sure you are destroyed, and if you are caught and found guilty of terrorism, you will be hung! If you give us no quarter, we will do likewise, give you no quarter."

"For all the pirates out there, we will not stop until you and your kind are eliminated from the coasts of our fine nation!, you will not spoil our trade again."

"We must continue on the path we have set for ourselves, and my father put us on the right path even before this event tonight." He gestured to President Jack R. Arnold who bowed and Johann said jokingly "I should be bowing to you father.." Johann did so, and Jack sat down flustered, and the audience chuckled.

Johann said "On a miscellaneous note, I am pleased to announce that we have switched all of our government and military computers to the Macintosh OSX operating system, and through Calizerin Wireless, we announce that we will provide all officers and officials the new iPhone 4G Wimax/HSDPA phone!"

Johann said "That is all in the geek department (laughter), but we will continue to update you on that. That is all ladies and gentlemen, and I bid you adeiu, good night."

I urge you, abandon this foolishness, for even if you do make a wise ruler, who's to say your succesor will? Power corrupts John, and if you go through with this i fear you may lose your soul in the process, like i nearly lost mine when i was first elected to office. I was a near tyrant for my first three years as Emperor, until a series of confrontations by Cptn. Wall and threatened rebellion by the AL snapped me out of it and I voluntarily sacrificed most of my power, making the office of Emperor into the elected executive position it is today. I was lucky, do not presume that you will be as well.

We appreciate your concern, but in the 48 hours we've been using our new Mac Pros and iMacs, we have found the system far better for our usage then most other nation's IT. We thank you for your concern though. We do agree, a new flag is needed.

I suggest, if what you have described is accurate, that before you retire you use your power to erase the position of Kaiser and return to a representative democracy. Perhaps one similar to mine would work as a comprimise, with very powerful executives, yet no un-elected officials within the government.

I quite agree with your thinking, I will do my utmost to ensure that I will be the only Kaiser and I will return it to a democracy. A form of government similar as you said would work for a transition government from the current Kaiser ruled to a democracy.

The Londinian naval garrison had, as of late, been rather busy. Now that construction was complete, the perimeter secure, and the territory on which it was built officially transferred to the Commonwealth, a steady stream of vessels, ranging from frigates to ballistic missile submarines (repurposed to deliver EMP bombs instead of thermonuclear warheads), had been filing into the port, and even more vessels sailed towards Monterey to bring personnel and materials for the superdreadnoughts being built for the Calizorinstani navy. It was about to recieve a lot more traffic in the coming months.

"Very surprising indeed," Commodore Hansen, administrator of the facility, said as his lieutenant delivered to him his report. "And unexpected. Did Kensington issue any directives regarding the situation?"

"Well, yes, sir," the junior office replied. "To remain nondescript, but to further fortify the perimeter and place all units on alert."

"Ah," the commodore replied. "Dismissed, sailor."

I have not banned Windows or Linux from my nation, rather I have encouraged everyone to try out all of the OS's available to them. You might be surprised that the majority picked the new Intel Mac's, which I might remind you can run Windows and Linux in addition to OSX, which is why my government bought them. We use Windows programs, but in the Boot Camp environment of the Intel Mac.

In a way we're using Mac, but we're also using Windows. Is that good enough for you?

OOC: Ouch my bad, it is now called the Calizorinstani Prussian Empire. My king does not have any hostile nations towards you in mind, so you might want to tone it down a bit..

The wicked politicians forced me to be the Kaiser or they would dig up some of my "alleged" criminal records, I hastily agreed, but then I decided that I didn't care if they showed my criminal records, I wanted my nation back to democracy. I am ashamed of participating in such a farce myself, and I have been repairing the government through several democratic changes. My PR is currently at a medium positive right now.

For a while, we here in the Empire were worried about the sudden regime change that took place in our ally's government. Our worries were appearently misfounded however, as just as soon as this new government was created it was replaced by the old government just as quickly. We are quite relieved that the situation could be resolved so quickly, and without any diplomatic wrangling on our point.
