OOC: Earth 2050---New Members WELCOME!

Fond Greetings to All!!!

Many of us roleplay as a way of escaping this overbearing life that we lead: A life filled with the hustle and bustle of the face-paced society we have become. So, in your escape, why go through the massive conglomerate of topics and discussions here on Jolt, filled with hundreds upon hundreds of members and nations you have never even heard of?

I am here to offer you an alternative to this sometimes overwhelming chaotic congregation.

Earth 2050 (http://s9.invisionfree.com/Earth_2050/)

We are an offsite (Non-Jolt) role-play focused around the aspects of NationStates that we all love: Trade, Diplomacy, and War, in the middle of the 21st Century. You can easily peruse through a smaller, close-knit group of roleplayers, rathering than having to scroll through page upon page of post just to find your last topic.

What does it take to join Earth 2050 (http://s9.invisionfree.com/Earth_2050/)? Just ask yourself these questions:

Are you looking for an alternative place to RolePlay--perhaps, in a smaller, more close-knit group of RP'ers?
Are you a newer RPer, who has yet to achieve international recognition on this vast international community we call the Jolt Forums?
Are you tired of having to scroll through pages and pages of Jolt Forums just to find your last post?
Do you want to have fun?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are definately Earth 2050 (http://s9.invisionfree.com/Earth_2050/) material.

We are currently engaged in a restart, in which the old posts and topics are cleared, and a new slate we shall start. I am inviting anyone interested to come and participate in the reformation of this 14 month-old NS RP so as to make it a better, more enjoyable roleplay for all.

What do you have to lose??? Perhaps a few minutes of your time while you check us out? You do not have to be this massive NS nation with a population of 3 billion: Just sign up, stay for a while, and if we are not exactly your "cup of tea," then bid us a fond farewell, and we will hold nothing against you.

Earth 2050 (http://s9.invisionfree.com/Earth_2050/)

I look forward to the blossoming of a beautiful friendship.

Cheers!

Aang-kai,
Administrator of Earth 2050 (http://s9.invisionfree.com/Earth_2050/)

Well Ive been with Earth 2050 pretty much since it has started and am currently one of the moderators. Earth 2050 is defidently a fun place to Rp, with a small group of dedicated members making it easier to roleplay.

The RP obviously takes place in the year 2050, so there are almost endless opportunities. In the past we have had space races to mars and beyond, world wide wars, terrorist attacks, colonization of the moon and much more, and there is still so much more that can be done.

I came to Earth 2050 because I was tired of scrolling through endless pages, just to find my RPs. With Earth 2050, everything is located in one location, making it easy for you to locate your RPs and keep them going. Also it allows for more of a personal touch on RPs, instead of say having a war with a twenty other Rpers, and not being able to keep up with the fast pace of the RP and having to read ten pages just to find what happened over night.

I really enjoy being a part of the group of Rpers on Earth 2050, and Im sure you would like it as much as I have.

So come check us out.

more bumpiness.

This forum is really worth checking out if you're the type of person who likes earths. The tighter nit community definately offers more unique RP.

The different style and backgrounds of the nations people create make for some interesting ways RP's turn out and begin. Europe, Africa, south america and parts of asia still avalible (off the top of my head) join up and take your chunck of land today

Well, once you claim some land and get a fact book up and all that jazz, you'll probably remember about it. Especially once you get involved in some RP on the site. I admit that at first it will most likely be difficult to remember, but why not just try it out anyways? And if you forget, well, it's not really a big deal.
The tokera

Once you start RPing you probably wont forget.

Don't forget the best non war part, Tech, its probably the most important aspect, you get to post two new techs a week to be aproved by the admins and tech mods, this helps to give any late joiners a bit of fairness because the senior people wont have like 100 uber techs you can get owned by. You also have the good ole trade card to sacure other peoples tech to use.

I can't rp war at all. Period. Is the diplomacy good there?

Please say diplomacy is good. I too am just plain awful at large scale war. Individual people I can handle like all get out, but not full scale war.

yeah, if your not a war person you can do a bunch of stuff like space races and international projects like space stations, why just last round Me and Tokera had a race to Jupiter

We have not yet had any large scale wars in any reincarnation, though we have had minor local scrimmages.

Diplomacy is decent: Though there are those Stalin-esqu people who ignore every attempt at diplomacy. Though, they are everwhere :D

You can have whatever you want: That is the beauty of E2050. I am in East Asia, and I have a Federation/EU-type government in place.

Well, I just finished reading through some of the forum thread things in the off-site forum, and I am fairly impressed. However, it distresses me how everything is dark; makes things hard to read.

Hmmm...I actually find it the opposite: Being colour-blind, the straight forward black background and white text helps me see it. Do you have a suggestion as for another skin you feel would be more appropriate?

Well, sorry about being colour-blind, but I would much rather have everything on a whiter background with black text. I find it easier to read that way.

How about...Svalsbard, Sweden, Norway, and Greenland for me. Also, I would recommend shrinking that to a link; dial-ups will go crazy.

Seems fine by me. Register, and post the claims in the Claim Thread.

New restart, and there's lots of nice open territory for the choosing, plus several international issues that are just starting to heat up. We've never had a better time to at least come take a look.

I am not sure how realistic a country needs to be but is there any possibility that I could just have three countries on the opposite sides of the globe that just ally because of common backgrounds as British Territory and Democratic beliefs?

ie. Australia, South Africa, Israel
