Order Safe House. Location Undisclosed.

It was the last option he had left, the old man thought to himself. He had tried everything, from private investigators to former military personnel. It all failed.

Three weeks ago his only daughter ‘borrowed’ his personal yacht for a leisure trip with some of her friends. Two days later, following a freak storm, she drifted dangerously from her set course. That in itself wouldn’t have alarmed the old man as he had experienced similar happenings in his trips, but what happened next did. Just hours after the ship reported escaping the storm all communication was lost. At first he assumed that the radio equipment was damaged, but after receiving no sign for four days he was worried, and rightfully so. According to the proper authorities, the ship vanished.

Once the news reached his office he was quick in taking action. He had hired some of the best private investigators that dealt with naval disappearances cases on the market and following their subsequent disappearance, military personnel. Nobody returned. This left them man desperate. It was not until a friend of his mentioned the Paladin Order that he had another option.

This is why he requested as meeting with them. The requests of the Order were simple. Come alone at a designated location. He respected that request and woke himself blindfolded and directed to what he suspected to be a Safe House. It was there that he encountered the ones he had to deal with, two men, probably around thirty years, both obviously high ranking members.

“You requested a meeting?” one of them asked, reading from a slim dossier, “We assume it has to do something with the disappearance of your daughter?”

“Yes, three…” he started telling his story when the other man interrupted him.

“We know all about you daughters disappearance mister Holstein, we did our homework regarding the subject,” he said, his military training obviously showing.

“You did? I was unaware your order handled such matters…” the businessman retorted.

“We did, we take great care in selecting our customers. As you well know there are some that don’t regard our activity with kind eyes,” the other man, a knight of the Order replied.

“Very well, then I won’t waste your time. I suspect my daughter was either kidnapped, which I doubt since I haven’t received a ransom note, drowned which I believe it is not the case or just captive to a band of pirates that have no idea who she is. I want her back no matter what the cost,” Holstein informed them.

“We understand. It will not come cheap and we can’t make any guarantees that your daughter is still alive,” the Knight stopped as the man in front of him cringed at the though, “But we will get your daughter back, one way or another.”

“Thank you,” Holstein thanked them, relieved that this was all that it took for the Order to search for his daughter.

“It is our pleasure.”

It wasn’t however as simple as it seemed. The Order already knew who Holstein was and they already had all the files on the operations so far. Given the degree of danger involved and the fact that some of the missions involved experienced military personnel a great deal of concern was placed with this mission. Three teams were assigned to this case and much to their surprise, two elite knights. Armed to the teeth they departed for the area where the ships turned missing, ready for everything… or so they thought.
