I issue this statement today before all of Automagfreek, Gholgoth, NATO, and the world concerning the EVIL alliance, and its founding nation, British Londinium. Your actions, and indeed your very existance, displease me to no end. More specifically I speak to the leaders of British Londinium, who have squandered their opportunity for a fresh start following the conclusion of the Freekish/NATO liberation of their country.

Instead of stealing themselves from the international scene and rebuilding in peace, the Londinium government has seen fit to launch countless offensive operations against seemingly anyone, which has both shocked and appalled me to no end. You took an opportunity for a new beginning and wasted it, and in so doing you have spat in my face and cheated me out of billions, which I used to help restore your nation.

Let it be known on this day that these aggressive actions will be tolerated no more, and an ultimatum issued to British Londinium and their lackeys in the EVIL alliance. The terms of this ultimatum are clear:

1. EVIL is to forever disband its ranks. Members of this alliance may not reform under a similar or differing name, charter, or banner to circumvent this condition.

2. British Londinium is to cease any and all present and pending military operations. British leaders will be held accountable for their actions before a Freekish, NATO, or Gholgothan tribunal pending our desired course of action.

3. British Londinium is to pay reparations to all nations it has invaded and defiled. Appropriate apologies will also be issued, along with signed declarations to never initiate hostilities with said nations ever again.

4. The British military will stand down and disarm, and its numbers will remain large enough for homeland defense only. No offensive military forces will be permitted.

These terms are more then lenient, and are not open for discussion. Should either one of these four conditions not be met or refused, then military confrontation with the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek and its allies will be inevitable, and this time there will be no remorse. The EVIL alliance is no better and is just as guilty as Londiniun, for you willingly associate with this belligerent and aggressive nation, and therefore your fates are entwined.

The EVIL alliance and its founding nation, British Londinium, will have 48 hours to accept these terms. If said time expires or these conditions are not agreed upon, then may the Gods have mercy upon you all.

It is amusing that the overly militaristic nation of Automagfreek condemns us for warmongering. May I remind Mr Dreadfire of the hundreds of millions slaughtered in his brutal invasion of the south? The largely uneventful trip from VDFMB Flanders in Honako to Vetaka had just took an unexpected turn. The Bridge and fleet broke out into a hive of activity as the ships prepared to stage a mass evacuation of Allied Citizens. With this in mind the fleet sped up altering its course the small fleet steamed towards the nation of British Londinium.

If you knew the first thing about the Freekish Empire Mr. Azzopardi, you would know that we do not engage in aggressive conflicts. We do not invade nations seemingly on the random with little to no justification, such as British Londinium does. In fact, good sir, we only resort to military action when our interests are directly threatened, which realistically does not happen very often. Automagfreek and the world seem to stay out of each other's way quite nicely, but your nation on the other hand has seen fit to engage in a parade of aggressive, imperialist campaigns.

We speak today because our interests *are* at stake here, since it was we who liberated you. We cannot be held responsible for the stupidity of your military by gassing its own civilians during our liberation, nor can we be held responsible for the actions of extremist renegades in the north. The fact of the matter is this, British Londinium has stepped on the toes of Automagfreek by thinking it was given a green light to initiate offensive campaigns for its own personal gain. We gave no such go ahead, and intended your rebuilding to usher in an era of peace, but you have thrown all of that out of the window.

I am, however, glad to see you accepting the terms of our ultimatum. Your 48 hour timeframe stands, and if you continue to refuse acceptance of our disarmament term, then we will be forced into action. It is painfully obvious that British Londinium is a threat, and steps must be taken to reduce your ability to project your military into imperialist conflicts. If you cannot understand why this condition exists, then perhaps look back over the recent campaigns of yours. It is very clear you think Londinium can attack anyone it pleases on a whim, but we are here to tell you that you are mistaken.

You have a lot to learn about running a military empire, little one. Learning which toes not to step on is an important first step.

Either meet all of our terms in the time alloted, or you will feel our wrath. End of story.

Mr Dreadfire:

It is enough of an insult that we have had to disband our alliance and repay the nations we have previously invasions, in addition to signing non-aggression pacts with them. It is intolerable that you expect us to weaken our military so that we can be stomped upon by the larger nations of the world; it is intolerable that you expect the leaders of this country to answer to anyone but the Londinian people.

British Londinium will, regardless of Freekish intervention, refrain from future unprovoked wars; our citizenry is, in simple terms, war weary. But I cannot, and will not, agree to a treaty that so severely curtails our ability to protect Londinian interests throughout the world. I have always wished for, if not cordial, neutral relations with the New Alliance Treaty Organzation. However, if you feel that invading this country is the only way you can be assured of reduced Londinian aggression, than so be it. That will be the way it must be.

Amazing how you choose to simply not pay attention to anything we're saying Mr. Azzopardi, and if there is anyone from within your offices that possesses actual reading comprehension skills, then perhaps I should address them.

We are not telling British Londinium to weaken itself to a point where it cannot properly defend itself. In fact, nowhere in Lord Dreadfire's list of terms does it say anything of the sort. Term four explicitly states:

"4. The British military will stand down and disarm, and its numbers will remain large enough for homeland defense only. No offensive military forces will be permitted."

Sufficient defensive forces for mainland Londinium and its territories will be permitted. Lord Dreadfire is not saying that British Londinium has to open itself to foreign invasion by gutting its armed forces, and interpreting this condition as such is an error. Our stated term is that any and all forces capable of projecting aggressive military force be decommissioned. British Londinium will reserve the right to retalliate if unjustly attacked, but your nation will not be permitted to sustain forces capable of launching first strike campaigns.

If you honestly cannot understand this condition or the reasoning behind it, perhaps you should hand over the duty of negotiations to another official.

We find it rather unfortunate that the Londinians have not had the common sense to demilitarize in the face of just and sensible reprimands. As soon as the Londinian government was notified, the Imperium issued an order of selective mobilization. Forces not already earmarked for other purposes were rushed to Korronis, assembled, and loaded onto transports. The process was not a quick one, but a military plan for action against an EVIL member nation had been prepared months before and was now being put into full effect. Trains, aircraft, and convoys from all over the Empire headed at top speed for Korronis, and the task force that would target British Londinium slowly took form.

I appreciate Freekish concern for my reading skills. It's the attention that counts, it really does. I am fully aware of what the fourth provision states; abiding by the fourth provision severely hampers the strategy of deterrence that our offensive military capacity allows us to accrue.

I have yet to break my word, Mr Dreadfire, and when I assure you that we will not continue with our rampant imperialism, I mean it.

Clearly, though, honesty is not a virtue that you associate with British Londinium, and I cannot blame you for that. To that end, I am willing to host one (1) NATO military installation in Lixus, to serve as a check on any percieved wanton, unjustified aggression.

Guys, chill out with the OOC already. If you really have that much to say about it, then go make an OOC thread for this story; don't clutter up this one with your nonsense. North Calaveras and Arab-Canada in particular seem to be perpetuating most of this, so bear that in mind when formulating your replies. I'm not here to say you're not allowed to particiapate in this thread, but if the OP complains about what you're doing I'm obligated to intervene.

The Armed Republic has officially withdrawn its fleet from the Atlantic Ocean.

In the busy capital of Fordock machines buzzed as a new report was printed. It was grabbed by the secretary to the president who quickly gave it to President Kichler. He examined it. And laughed out lout. Apparently British Londominium had gotten called out by Automagfreek for overly imperialistic tendencies. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Still thought this was important and the President was obliged to make an open statement.

The Principality of Fordock officially recommends British Londominium accept said terms by Automagfreek and prevent further bloodshed.

Here are additional terms further illustrating our fourth condition, with assistance from our allies in The Silver Sky, whom we thank.

1) TOTAL Military size will be limited at not over 1.5% of the British Population and people living in British Colonies/holdings [both disputed and confirmed]. THis will be lowered to 1% upon reaching the 3 billion mark, and will reach it's lowest point at .5% at the 6 billion citizen mark.

2) The Military budget will not exceed $500,000 per any person fitting the description in Term 1.

3) BL will comply with the other terms put forth by Automagfreek, and agree to ceding territory for a sovereign NATO base.

4) The British Military will not be in command of nuclear/biological/chemical weapon armed forces or any nuclear weapons with a yield exceeding .1 ton of TNT, the BL Military will comply with weapons inspectors from NATO Nations, the BL NBC Deterrant will hence forth be provided by Automagfreek. No Ballistic/semi-ballistic Missiles, period, or guided missiles with a range exceeding 3000km or a payload over 1000lbs, no unguided rockets with a range exceeding 100km.

5) The British Military Forces will not be in command of the following weapon systems:

A) No aircraft carrier capable of launching or being refitted to launch, fighters over 67,000 lbs [MTOW] with an unloaded, max fueled ferry range over 2200km or a loaded combat radius exceeding 1100km.

B) No surface/sub launched cruise missiles with a range exceeding 1500km or air launched weapons systems with a range exceeding 500km.

C) No submarines/surface ships capable of launching ballistic missiles or capable of launching a missile with a range exceeding 1500km.

D) No Anti-Satellite Ordanance can be under command of the navy. Anti-Ballistic missiles must have a range of under 400km and a max altitude under 100km, they must also not be able to be fitted with NBC warheads

E) No fighters with over 67,000lb MTOW, 2200km max fuel/unloaded range or loaded combat radius exceeding 1100km.

F) No tanker aircraft, replenishment/fuel ships, assault ships, landing craft, ships capable of launching landing craft, or RO/RO ships capable of launching landing craft. RO/RO craft are to be limited to carrying six vehicles no larger then 60,000kg each, and will have a max payload of [360,000kg]. No ships are to be capable of refueling other ships.

G) No Helicopter with a payload exceeding 6,000lbs slung load or 4,200lbs internal load.

H) No forces capable of amphibious landings.

I) No combat capable [defined as an aircraft with ANY weapons system, even a weapons targeting system] aircraft with a range max unloaded range exceeding 5000km or a combat radius exceeding 2000km loaded with combat payload/max fuel or an MTOW exceeding 95,000lbs or a weapons payload exceeding 30,000lbs.

9) BL will be under the full protection of NATO/AMF and any attacks against BL will be responded to by NATO/AMF in an way deemed appropriate by NATO/AMF. However, the BL government may opt out of this protection.

Effective immediately, the Prestonian Republic hereby returns it's piece of Yarkai to it's rightful owners. All 150,000 troops currently stationed within Yarkai will be rotated elsewhere by the end of the month. However, a small force of 500 will be stationed throughout the 100 offshore oil rigs for security purposes. Let it be known to history that we accepted the offer of British Londinium to hold a piece of Yarkai with the intent of providing a safe haven for displaced Cazelians. I am going to say something on this matter, and it had better be heeded.

Automagfreek would not hesitate for a minute to smash British Londinium to the ground for its actions, we all know that. But Automagfreek, being the just and glorious Empire that it is, has taken into consideration the suffering of those who have been attacked by Londinium. If BL were to be destroyed then these nations would not get their due reparations, and being the wise and considerate Empire that we are, we cannot allow that.

So, we are willing to take the offer put forth at allowing a NATO base within British Londinium, and elimination of their NBC forces is accepted. The original 3 terms in Dreadfire's opening proposal still stand, and once agreed upon will be put into effect. Failure to enact these policies will result in the destruction of British Londinium.


1. EVIL is to forever disband its ranks. Members of this alliance may not reform under a similar or differing name, charter, or banner to circumvent this condition.

2. British Londinium is to cease any and all present and pending military operations. British leaders will be held accountable for their actions before a Freekish, NATO, or Gholgothan tribunal pending our desired course of action.

3. British Londinium is to pay reparations to all nations it has invaded and defiled. Appropriate apologies will also be issued, along with signed declarations to never initiate hostilities with said nations ever again.

Given the content of this ultimatum Arda sees no choice but to openly question the aims of the Gholgothan leadership. British Londinium and EVIL cannot possibly receive a fair trial in a Gholgothan/NATO court; it is clear by these terms and their wording that Dreadfire seeks to mete out a victor's justice over his enemies. While we harbor no particular love to British Londinium, Arda nonetheless values facts over vendettas.

To elaborate on this point, I will direct your attention to the fact that an alliance cannot be demonstrably dismantled within 48 hours. If Autmagfreek sincerely wishes to promote international stability and civility that's fine, but if they're trying to drum up a bogus casus belli, we're not falling for it.

I would like to congratulate both the Freekish and the Londinians on their handling of this delicate affair. Far too often, these types of negotiations descend into war so it is a pleasure to see that farsightedness and common sense still prevail in some nations on this planet.

I do have one question for the Freekish about the settlement though, which is in regards to clause 3. Who will determine what amount of reparations is appropriate in each case? Ideally, I would like to see an independent commission established to work out the nature and amount of reparations due in each case.

I would like to use this opportunity to extend an offer of aid to the Londinians when the time comes to help pay reparations. I extend this offer because I feel that the people of British Londinium should not have to suffer for the mistakes of their government.

Finally, I would like to condemn the actions of the Wilhelm-Hatarian Empire as nothing more than gross opportunism. This is an international crisis you scavengers, not a yard sale. Oh, and it seems that the settlement does not require any significant downsizing of the Londinian Navy, so all you now have for your efforts is a blackening of your name. Shame on you!

OOC: Since Sumatripte was not procured through invasion, and since it's now a semi-independent state, it has not been transferred to Lord Sumguy. Incidentally, where would it be on your Continental US map? Rhode Island?

OOC: yup. That reminds me, i forgot to make that thread for the surrender of Sumatripte after the anti-BL coalition conflict.

Mere hours after the treaty was agreed upon by Londinium officials, ships carrying military personnel and equipment were immediately sent forth to establish the agreed upon base within BL. Though the treaty called for a NATO occupied base, Automagfreek would be the primary occupant of the new territory, though New Alliance nations were welcome to come with. The trip was both long and at time perilous, but as the sun began to emerge on the horizon, the chief of the small taskforce was alerted that they were approaching British Londinium.

After alerting British authority of their presence, they began swinging around the island to the north and dipping south into the bay near the designated base. They wasted no time in offloading ton after ton of building materials, weaponry, men, and assorted necessities, they began clearing the new sovereign Freekish/NATO land. DT-25 'Behemoth' main battle tanks outfitted with a bulldozer blade began clearing and smoothing the outer most perimeter, while the actual base itself would be built much further back. The wide open zone would be filled with landmines in the days to come should the base ever fall under siege, but for the next few weeks the detachment of 2,000 Sentinels concentrated on completing what was to become 'Fort Miasma'.

The Londinium had absolutely no way of knowing how exactly the Sentinels were arming themselves, and nor did it matter, for the ground they stood on was as much theirs as Automagfreek itself. Large cargo ships continued to dock and unload supplies during the construction period to further bolster the outpost's defenses. Anti-air batteries, artillery platforms, and scores of munitions were delivered seemingly around the clock. What the Londinians did not know was that every shell and missile stored at Fort Miasma was nuclear in nature. 155mm to 20" auto-loading cannons armed with rocket assisted, GPS guided nuclear shells were placed around the entire complex and were aimed at every major city should British Londinium ever become belligerent again. Short and medium range tactical nuclear missiles were loaded into above ground launchers for rapid deployment, while larger strategic weapons such as the HOUND V2 were placed in underground silos. These weapons would be able to bring megatons of death to those caught in its path, and the cobalt contained inside the bomb would almost permanently render the land utterly useless.

But perhaps the biggest stockpile was under the base itself, where over a gigaton of nuclear ordnance sat in case the base itself was about to become totally lost, in which case the last remaining Sentinels would detonate the weapons and take out not only the attackers, but a good portion of British Londinium. Though their host would not know just how serious Dreadfire was about keeping them in line, the 2,000 strong Sentinel garrison knew exactly what their mission was should the order ever come down: erase British Londinium from the face of the earth.
