The Totalitarian State of Red Tide. A name which invoked one of three images:

The first is of oppression. Prisoners marched into labor camps and worked to death, people quietly taken into the woods and shot. The Intellegince-Commissarat, imposing the States will upon its citizens. Men and women, all Prisoners of the State, suffering the penalty for disobedience.

The second image is of military might. Millions upon millions of soldiers, hundreds of thousands of tanks and missiles. The roar of artillery, the thunder of jet fighters, the squeel of a mass of tanks and personnel carriers slamming into a line.

The last image is of industry. Smoggy steel mills, coal powerplants, and arms factories taking in raw materials and spewing out steel, energy, and weapons. Red Tide was heavily industrialised, but very little of that industry was devoted to providing consumer goods to its citizens.

And that was the catch... the vast majority of Red Tidean industrial prowess was devoted towards the support of its military. Such devotion was unsustainable... unless there was a war on.

Which was precisely what Red Tide had in mind.

Official Statement from TSRT Government
"Due to a belligerent attitude towards a nation with which we are highly friendly with-that is British Londinium-we hereby demand that the president of Kemonomimi issue an apology to the Londinium and drop its arms embargo's. In addition, we demand that they open up their markets to Londinian and Red Tidean corporations. Failure to fullfill these reasonable points will result in war."
End Message

Meanwhile, the Red Tidean Navy was going through a general standdown to prepare for the inevitable naval conflict that would result in the case war. All Red Tidean Dreadnought and Carrier Battlegroups were at port, inside the protective umbrella of the TSRT's massive Surface-Air Missile belt.

The Red Tide Army was preparing a full Army Front of 1,050,000 men.

Red Tide was preparing for war.

We applaud the nation of Red Tide for its decision to act against the belligerent nation of Kemonomimi and force them to do away with their ridiculous embargo against our mutual ally. The nation of Vetalia offers its economic and military might to aid that of Red Tide, should it be required, and we will gladly open up transportation corridors through our nation should they be needed to bring this situation to its rightful conclusion.

Our nation backs yours in attempting to call an end to this ridiculous embargo, and we will not hesitate to aid you in working to bring about a favorable conclusion to this conflict.

Pathetic.

Governments like those of Red Tide are no different then governments like those of British Londinium; you prey upon the weak and defenseless. But yet when a nation of our size and might directly threatens British Londonium with invasion if they refuse to change their ways, you conveniently ignore it and hope the big, bad monster will go away.

Well, we would certainly hate to disappoint, because we're not going anywhere. But perhaps the real question is, what are you going to do about it?

We all know the answer, so I may as well share. You will do nothing. You all will sit back and cower as our righteous hammer of justice falls upon the heathen Londinians should they refuse to change their ways. Our ultimatum is quite clear, as are our intentions.

But since you like threatening those who are smaller and less capable than Red Tide, perhaps we should reciprocate and direct our attentions to you as well as British Londinium?

The silence around Gromkyo was silenter then a empty wasteland. There were few people that General-Secretary Narmonov, the leader of Red Tide, feared. But Damien Dreadfire was one of them.

Gromkyo, and everybody else stared at Narmonov intently. The pain of dilemma was clear upon his face. If he went to war and Dreadfires AMF intervened, Red Tide had some chance of surviving, but that was less then 50%.

Then again, that was opposed to inevitable collapse without war, and everything that entailed. Sure, the military and Commissarat could keep it at bay for awhile, but a general revolt could not be countered. There was silent consideration.

Then Narmonov sighed.

"Issue no reply for now. We will wait for Kemonomimi's reply."

From the tongues of Authaulus.

Another war? How bloodthirsty are we, dearest Tideans? For the truncheon perhaps hath taken too much into brutality and tasted too little blood as of late? Although a sharp tongue this leader of the Kenomomimi may have, a tongue is that it is, and all that it poses to be. As such, movements against the Kenomomimi are quite rash, and such, my brothers and I see it fit to only aid the Kenomomimi in their own protection. Do not make a country's people suffer for the idiocy of their leader, Tidean friends. I will keep my message simple; movements against the Kenomomimi will be treated as barbarous activity, something I cannot let stand.

Authaulus.

Gromkyo was afraid, deadly afraid. The General-Secretary had fixed him with a glare as cold and chilling as midwinter in Rystok, it was Narmonov's ultimate sign of displeasure. He had had generals and ministers liquidated with that glare. That included Gromkyo's predecessar, which made the foreign minister wonder if he was breathing his last breaths.

Then Narmonov finally said, in a chillingly deadly tone:

"We will make no further statement, and wait for the Kemonomimi to reply. If they give in, we take advantage of that. If they dont, we back down. If even the Jenrakians are against us on this, we cannot risk it."

Gromkyo thought that was a wise decision, but then asked.

"Comrade, what if, purely hypothetical of course, they hound us every time we try to make a move?"

That made, somehow, the glare even worse.

"We must take that risk. Now get out." Narmonov said calmly.

Gromkyo never remembered leaving Narmonov's office faster.

OOC: Can we at least wait untill Kemo is online. Can we cut him/her some slack? I mean, the thuthful insult was badass, the embargo was dumb, but Kemo is a good guy, albeit. . . a new one that knows no limits.

IC:
The New Brittonian Government wishes that all parties settle this diplomatically, rather than militarially. New Brittonia will have a conference of nations, so they may talk out this conflicht instead of fight over it.

From the Mouth of Miriana

I believe a talk would be best, especially in the nation of Kenomomimi's case. He is, appropriately, responsible for this entire fiasco in the first place for speaking out so rashly, knowing full well that others will reply in turn. As a means to teach him a lesson, a conference of any within this issue would be a very good idea. Though, the opinions of the Tideans are the ones that this possible war hinges upon. Their words will bring either complete and utter chaos or continued peace throughout the lands.

We agree with the nation of Jenrak that discussion is the best option at this time. Although we do not discount the need for military action, given the extraordinary interest this conflict has inspired we feel that it is best all sides hold their weapons and discuss this manner peacefully. Should these talks fail, the nation responsible for their collapse will be the one to blame. We have no reservations about using force to defend our allies, should such action be necessary.

However, for now, discussion is far better than war as a means of resolving the situation.

OOC: I know, I know, and I know. The point isnt anything ICly or OOCly. My nation is just trying to start a war to keep its economy running longer. It doesnt even necessarily have to win the war. As long as there is a war the nation can easily survive, Red Tide will try to start it. Its cold political calculation.

TMZ has to ask in a most disinterested way "What is BL's problem? Afraid to take on a nation their own size, so they go after new and inexpereinced nations?" Hmmm, that meets my definition of a bully.

OOC: Perhaps you should learn some reading comprehension?

BL said he would not actually RP with Kemo PERIOD, due to OOC reasons. That is, actually, a very wise move. If you have OOC problems with another person, it is well-advised that you dont RP with them until you can work aforementioned problems out. Otherwise, OOC prejudices might get in the way of RPing.

Anyways, lets just say BL says(ICly) that he wants to keep it a Status Quo. Then my nation backsdown on its threat and we let this thread die. Kapeesh?
