OCC: Well the main Tribenkia wars RP has gone badly thanks to an idiot, and i couldn't remake the thread with my Tribenkia account somehow... So im using my main.

North Declares WAR on South!

Today, close to a million troops from the Democratic Republic of North Tribenkia overan the small ill-equiped forces of the Monarchy of South Tribenkia. The South had been totally caught off guard mainly due to the fact that the 7 year non-agression pact between both Nations has not expired. Still and estimated 900,000 Troops and over 3000 Tanks have stormed over the border, and the Southern Kingdom cannot do anything about it. President Juleen Bardas had called for the Nations of the world to help the South fight back the Northern invaders. About 200 Border guards have been killed in the fighting, and another 450 have been taken prisoner.
Losses on the Northern Forces have been as high, or even higher.

Currently the 2nd Volunteer Corps are fighting along side Border guards and the 12th Infantry Division to defend the City of Bordoas. A large City, with a population of 6 million people living in it. The Northern forces are looking to sweep through the City, though they are meeting with very stiff resistance.

History of the 2 Tribenkias
The North is a Communist state with a very large military, and has a very strong mining industry, but recently its economy has taken a big hit, and has asked the Southern Kingdom for loans to pay their debts, however the South is not willing to give in to that offer, due to the previous hostilities between the 2 Nations over 12 Oil Rigs. The South is largely an econmically stable nation but has a weak military. Its funds mainly come from tourism and its large oil indsutry. But when a diplomatic stand off for the north cannot slove their problems, they turned their guns on the south...

"Kankasi! Cmon lets go!"

Kankasi grabbed his M16A2 Rifle and followed his squad leader, he knew that they could not hold on much longer. Soon he heard artillery shells firing in the distance.

"INCOMING!"

Everyone scrambled for cover, immidately two of his squad mates who were advancing in front of them were blown up by a 155mm shell. He looked behind , serveral NTA troops were behind them, spraying their AK-47s at them, at full-auto. He and his squad returned fire, killing them and ran to the nearest building using that as a fire base, till help arrives, if there is any...

Meanwhile, Northern Forces have sent another 20 divisions to aid them in the war, and called up their Nation's reserve, to keep watch of their own Nation if any forgien Nations would do a surprise landing on their soil. The Military Junta Glanski of the North has also showed off his sercret weapon, the SS-18 SATAN. A total of 6 were fired onto Baradras, Capital of South Tribenkia. Although 2 have been shot down by Patriots, the other 4 came slamming down killing 147 people, 80 tourists and 7 Soldiers from the Royal Guard. Reports show that the deaths of most of the tourists were mainly caused by one of the missiles hitting the hotel, setting it ablaze.

"Yes, yes. Right now I am standing about 3km from where the missile had hit, in fact it hit a playground and a school, from where im standing i can see the damage is huge and likely deaths are expected on this attack."

Missiles like rain drops were hitting Baradras, killing over 561 Citizens and an estimated 210 tourists. Southern Tribenkian Military could not send many tourists back home as the Northern Tribekian Air force has completely dorminated the skies, and civilian aircraft taking off could be shot down. Patriots have downed 2 MiG-29 Aircraft yesterday, but the Air Defense for the Sourthern forces are outdated or too small in numbers to do any real damage on the enemy airfroce.

In Bordoas City, fighting is still going on, the same bloody way, now about 8,000 men are in the volunteer Corps and just are holding the might of the Iron fist from the North Tribenkian forces. AT-4s were also proven killers for enemy tanks as troops from the 12th Infantry Division are destroying over 12 enemy tanks in the battle. However an estimated 1200 Troops are said to be killed in the fighting so far, and over 300 members of the volunteer Corps died along side them. Enemy losses are unknown but are estimated to be as high or higher. Civilian losses in the City is around 4,000 and counting.

"It would appear that the North is committed to its war against the South regardless of international pressure my Liege," offered an aide.
"So it would seem," mused the Emperor as he examined a map of the Tribenkias. Like so many nations in this world, the Emperor had never heard of these two nations until war had brought them to the international stage.
"So what are my options now? Economic sanctions would be useless as we have little contact with this nation." He asked the assembled generals and officials, fiddling with a small model tank that represented a North Tribenkian armoured division.
"We could make use of the Strategic Rocket Forces for once, my men have had far too little to do," grumbled the Rocket-Marshall Supreme.
"Not bad, not bad," smiled the Emperor. "Mobilise 13th Rocket Army and put them to launch status Yellow. Put all ABM sites on full alert at home and in the colonies as well, just in case."
"Conventional or unconventional warheads sir?"
"Conventional for now, no sense in overdoing things. Also, how about mobilising a task force to sail to the South?"
"Not an easy task," noted an Admiral, "but it can be done. I'll mobilise some of the spare troops from Airstrip One. It'll take a while."
"Be as quick as you can gentlemen, I'll handle the diplomatic end of things."

From the silos of the 1st and 2nd Regiments of the 1st Division of the 13th Rocket Army out came 40 SS-27 Rockets. If the North Tribenkians had any satellite capabilities over Skgorria, surely they would be worried.

Field Marshall Franco Martinez was watching the satellite coverage of this new war.

"Funny isn't this how Mokastana entered the International stage?"

one aide spoke up:

"yeah that was how many governments ago?"

they chuckled quietly...

it appeared to be a communist north invading a monarchy in the south, Mokastana, though traditionally leftist, had recently learned the value of dollar signs under the Martinez regime...

We don't need oil that badly, we still have to exploit the southern conquest, however those mines to look nice....

Ghost ops HQ, classified location

The Ghosts were bored. They had only recently come back from their assignment in The Steppe Empire. But when words reached Ghost Command of the current situation in Tribenkia, the men were eager to fight. Their mission was top-secret and would never be recorded. Operation: Southern Superiority had begun, and the North was to face the fury of Ghosts...

As each SS-27 entered orbit above Earth, the Skgorrian operators checked that their missiles were on target. The tracking told them that each missile was on target, and so each missile re-entry vehicle descended exactly where it was intended to descend. As the RVs screamed to earth they began to separate into five warheads, presenting the enemy with two hundred targets. If any North Tribenkian gunners tried to lock onto the rapidly descending warheads their efforts would be confounded by the chaff deployed by the RVs and the warheads themselves. Fifty of the warheads were headed towards the enemy capital, a hundred at power plants, oil refineries and shipyards with the remainder aimed at agricultural areas.

Admiral Malokovich of the Mokastana navy saw the incoming scuds on his radar...

"where are they going?"

Firstly, they're not scuds, they're MIRVs. So there :P

Secondly, they would take *way* less than an hour to hit the ground from orbit

As it was promised, the order was coming. From the docks of the city of Barasdas in Southern Tribenkia ships of the Order could be seen. They had but one purpose, to come to the aid of the country that was currently overrun by the North.

"Sir, we will arrive shortly," one of the officers on the flagship of the task force escorting the transporters informed the commander of the mission, Knight of the Order Marcu.

"Good, tell the men to get ready, we will have to move fast. Time is of the essence here," the knight ordered.

The logistics of the operation were simple. With the north part of the country under heavy attack and without air superiority, a landing would have caused heavy losses. Plus, the infrastructure was not enough to handle the troops.

This is why the Order picked a more reserved manoeuvre by deploying its contingent in the docks of the capital city. This allowed their units to be fully deployed and, with the aid of the air support coming from the carrier, fast in reinforcing the line effectively.

"Send this to the men," the Knight asked one of his underlings as he prepared to talk. "Men, these are my final words to you before entering conflict. You are not here today because of orders, because of a political government that decided to toy with your life. You are here today because you have chosen to fight for a just cause. You are soldiers of the Order."

With those final words, the baptism of fire was about to begin for the Order units.

The cry echoed around the Star Chamber, the acoustics amplifing the ritual chant until it pealed out across the sector. Drone workers stopped in their shuffling, heads turning, their blank faces and dead eyes looking towards the howling that came from the Command Wing. ZVO men exchanged glances. Citizens shivered and the sentries...

...smiled. They all knew what that sound meant.

War. Glorious, divine, heroic, war. War to wash away the failures and weaknesses of the Atopian past in blood and honour, in glorious death and inevitable, divine, certain victory.

Pity the foe, came the word on the rumour-mills of the workstations, pity the foe, came the word at the food queues, pity the foe, roared the NCOs; and back came the cry of "Death! Glorious death in His name! PAX LUPUM!"

The red emergency lighting gave the command bunker a distinctly B-movie cast, thought General Petrovan. He'd tried to have the covers changed to white, but apparently not even a General could alter Health and Safety. Still, he mused, at least it meant he felt more martial than normal. Turning to his ADC, he pointed his finger at the huge strategic map on the wall.

"That country."
"Right. How many rockets?"
"40. Topol-M, standard fit, nuclear 'heads. Factor in one extra rocket from SEG, will you?"
"Yessir. Plot will be done in ten minutes if this damn computer doesn't crash again. Bloody ancient junk."
"I know, Irina, but given the hideous mess we're only just climbing out of, be thankful we even have that."
"Oh, I am sir. Oh - we now have - WOLF-1 has a link, sir."
"Excellent. Carry on."

The computer-enhanced viewport showed Commander Fandorin the silos opening. He grinned a feral grin, and pirouetted in zero-gee, laughing with glee. He'd waited a lifetime for this. As the silos belched lances of fire and steel, his launch warning systems began beeping incessantly. He sang along, as miles below, his nation's chariots of death marched, triumphantly, towards North Tribenkia...

S-300s were quickly devloped to deal with this, but the fact that these missiles would display almost mutiple targets for their anti-missile defense systems, it caused the crews with over 250 targets to deal with and became ineffective. The North Tribenkian Commanders watched helplessy as their power Stations fell victim to the similiar weapons they sued aganist their neighbours. In return they fired 30 R-36s at the south, this time armed with Chemical warheads... of the 132 Powerplants in teh country, almost 30 were destroyed, 34 damaged but still working.

WOLF-1 Observation Compartment, Geosynchronous Orbit:

Commander Fandorin smiled as he watched the trails of light seperate. The MIRVs began heading towards their targets which, he noted with dry amusement, all seemed to be ports and airbases. Except one. One MIRV had not seperated into the usual six warheads. This one had begun a course towards the capital of North Tribenkia, and Fandorin raised his eyebrow. This was unusual.

He punched keys, and waited as the data scrolled up on screen.

OOC: Tribenkia, all of the warheads are nuclear except those aimed for your capital. Care to post losses?

The Mokastana Air force was approaching the northern country.....from about 200 miles out they saw that nuclear explosions all over the country and decided to turn around...in order to fight a nuclear war they were going to need nuclear equipment...
