At 21:00 London Time (BST) Armed Insurgents launched an attack on Civilian targets in the Capital Ashland. President Steve Jackson ordered the Crack Colstream Special Forces to raid their headquarters. It succeeded but caused heavy civil unrest and 5 villages in the border regions are under occupation by forces calling themselves the Colstream Liberation Front. A communist organisation aiming at destabilising the current democratically elected goverment. Their leader Frank Scorpion, has proclaimed that the current government will fall at his feet and that all communist governments help their revolution. All Armed Forces are on Red Alert and all Civilians in the area around the fighting have been evacuated to camps near the Capital.
This comes as the Republic Of Colstream tries to create a higher standard of living and trying to join the United Nations. President Jackson has called on all the Population to resist and not give in to the orgnisations promise of cheaper goods and cheaper houses in the occupied areas.

Thanks that will be alright. There are 5 Divisions will be attacking at 08:00 BST on the nearest communist forces to the capital. i will need additional units which will be used in combat which your forces will be allocated to.
Unfortunately casualties will be high as the enemy has T54 tanks and heavily armored APCs. I will pay in compinsation any casualties your units will face in combat which will be Urban Fighting and mainly house to house. They have highly trained snipers and our Special Forces and Seal Units will have Snipers assisting the Operation.

It was cold and dark. Rooftops were always like that. Just a place to sit and wait for that single moment when the enemy let their guard down. When that curious recruit went for a stroll. When the officer took a leak away from his troops. Then a strike would come. It would be the end for whoever did it. This was of course a snipers job.

This particular sniper was good at his job. Carrying his FBAR-01 he was perched upon a rooftop. The communist whom he had been sent to support were losing. Popular support was being lost and they had just been turned away at a battle by foreign troops.

So it was basically a lost cause. But Smork has been sent here and he would do his best to succeed. Or at least survive if it came down to it. Why did his country have to be so politically opinionated? Why couldn't Fodock have been a regular centrist democracy?

After thinking these thoughts though Smork felt guilty as he benefited under the system. Now he would be a victim to it. He stayed quiet still waiting for his opportunity.

OOC-Yeah I'm covertly helping your rebels. Not enough to make a difference. And we can deny all accusations.

*A courier from The Holy Empire of The Unified arrives outside Ashland bearing a small mediaplayer with a message for President Jackson. He is dressed simply, in ash grey robes edged in white. Should his package be delivered, it will display a woman similarly garbed in gun-blue robes with trim that matches her intense violet eyes. She is smiling warmly and seated in a lush garden gazeebo. The message is as follows:*

"Greetings President Jackson. The Chosen has learned of your nation's distress and has relayed it to our people. We have been moved and would like to provide aid. Please accept our offer of chaplains and counselors to sooth your soldiers and terrorized citizens.

May The Spiral lead you where you wish to go."

All Colstream and Foreign forces inflicted the bigest blow so far on the communist rebels as their leader, Frank Scorpion, is killed by an Air Raid of 100 B52s using Incendiary devices which burned down his headquarters with no survivors. Also the Armies of both Colstream and foreign forces caused most of the communist forces to be destroyed by a blitxkreig attack that destroyed whole columns of guerillas and crippled their ability to fight. There are about 10,000 rebels remaining and all foreign forces have been returned to their respective countries as the Colstream Army takes over on all fronts poised for the final blow.
