Not for uploading no, but if you want a flag with good resolution, for NSwiki and whatnot, then you might prefer a TIF or a PNG to a JPEG.

Well, the flag overall looks nice, but the scroll looks somewhat pixelated on the edges.

Do you think the scroll would look better sorrounding the star in an "Omega" (greek letter) shape?

As for the star, I think I'd look better if it was all white.

Kro, here they are(Your concept sketches). I must say, it was fun making them. I've laid out two concepts here:

This one is basically your first example flag, but with the Terran symbol in the left bar, like the defaced tricolours of some definct European flags.

This one I like better. It's a horizontal tricolour defaced by the Terran Empire emblem intersecting the bars, and with the star on either side. It's in PNG for display, but if you choose it, I'll convert it to JPEG.

Luckily, the jpegging didn't cloud the image enough to be too noticable. I uploaded it as Kirav's flag to test it. the size is fine to upload, and it's in pure, simple JPEG.

What of my flag? Mine was the first order, and no-one seems to be working on it.

I don't mind if either of you improve it a bit.

Hey, you've produced some pretty nice looking flags so far between the two of you. Could I put a request in for two?

The first one is for Surdun, a desert province of mine. I'd like reds and oranges to feature in the background, perhaps using horizontal stripes, with a sinking sun emblem at the centre contrasted in white or yellow, whichever you think looks best.

The second flag is for muslim factions within the province that want Surdun to be declared a muslim state. I would like the same basic outline as above, but with the sinking sun faded or otherwise pushed from the foreground by a large white Islamic star and crescent, such as can be seen (rather badly) here (http://www.success.co.il/knowledge/images/Supernatural-Islam-Moon.jpg).

I got the stars from the Tianamen protest flag, China's stars in red on black, I then replaced the large star with a red-on-black Soviet hammer and sickle. Enjoy. Can you tell me more about the colony you want the flag for? That'd help me think up a better design. Thanks for shopping at KVS.

Read the "Discovery of Lands II" Thread. There is a lot of oil there, and mountains, and the climate is more temperate.

Perhaps have 10 stars representing the ten towns, the same stripe as on the alfgeos flag, but with a bit of a difference.

I replaced the three bars with a descending star formation to represent your 10 settlements in the colony, and replaced the palm tree with a deciduous one, a sapling, representing new growth in this colony. Not sure if the trees in the colony are deciduous or coniferous though.

It's most certainly possible. However, my hand is aching from filling in the JPEG and SVG residue off of the images that I include onto flags, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow, or BL could do it. I think he's got the better graphics software.

Awesome that you've opened this up again, Kirav. Loved the last set you did. As such, would it be possible to get flags and standards for the Barronian Armed Services, and possibly one for the capital city, Misenae? Only requests are that they should feature the maltese cross (it can be small and in a corner, or incorporated into another emblem, but for purposes of government uniformity, it has to be there), and we'd like it to be in theme with the others (navy blue incorporated somewhere - government uniformity). Otherwise, it's all yours - free creative licence, in a sort. Your choice of emblems, etc.

For the record, this is the order:

Territorial Service of the Magisterium (Barronian Army) - Flag, Standard & High-ranking officials insignia (not essential, that last one - if you have the time, that would be awesome. Again, maltese cross is a necessity, everything else is your choice)

Awesome. My nation is a very imperial, pompous sort of nation. Britain in the midst of the empire sort of thing, so everything has a fancy name - like Aviatory Naval Service instead of just plain Air Force.

Most definitely the former. If we get territory, we put our own people in it. Furthers the sphere of influence, keeps the native populace under control...etc, etc. Again, like the British Empire, except there's more than just agriculture there.

The Grand Imperial Federation wishes to request a redesign of our current flag. We would like it to remain the same vis-a-vis the four square background, the coloring of the squares, and the placement of the sword.
