Political System: The political system of the Directorate of Kroando is an unusual one for the time, as it focuses neither on Royalty, nor Democracy, but a nationalistic dictatorship which has come as a result of a revolution against the theocratic royal morass of a mess the nation was before Grand Marshall Arkan overthrew the throne. He enjoys immense popular support, despite his heavily authoritarian rule, mainly due to his dethroning the hated King Aurilius II, and executing nearly all of the previously existing goverment, which was riddeled with corruption and needless religious oppression (as opposed to Arkan's useful oppression...).

Arkan Orders Mandate 071 - January 9th

The Kroandon Military, one of the best around, was not quite at the level it could be. The majority of standard weapons were single shot breechloading rifles, with only roughly 20% being armed with foriegn bolt-action clip rifles. This simply would not due, Arkan would not have his men armed in such an inferior manner, and he quickly went about changing it. A message was sent to Devrik Ison, the owner, founder and controller of Ison Iron Works, the largest company in Kroando. In addition to being the largest company in the nation, it was also the main arms producer, and dominated the heavy industry that Kroando was so famous for.

The message was simple. Arkan told Ison that he would no longer be procuring the old single shot breechloading rifles he had for so long, and if he wanted to retain business with his government, Ison would have to develope a new bolt-action rifle with a clip of no less than five rounds. Of course it was not like Arkan was asking for any sort of miracle. He was not asking for Ison to hire the cutting edge scientists and engineers of the world. He wasn't asking for anything but a cheaper, domestic version of a gun that was so popular in other nation.

With so many nations with state of the art technology (lvl5), there were thousands upon thousands of bolt action, clip rifles around, many of which were in Kroando. Ison simply had to procure a few, and hand them to his engineers. Within three weeks a design was finished through rather basic reverse engineering, and machinery was being produced which would be capable of mass producing the rifle. By the end of February the machinery was nearly finished, and the rifle was soon to follow. With the tremendous economic power that Kroando possessed, specifically on the behalf of Ison Iron Works, this was not a monumental task. Arkan soon began selling of the single shot breech loaders to neighboring, less developed countries in order to help pay for the new order of 'ArK 95 7.92 Rifle'

Additionally Arkan demanded a variation of his 90mm Direct-Fire Field Gun, he wanted a howitzer, an indirect fire weapon, capable of providing fire on enemies he could not even see. So again Ison Iron Works was given the task, and again, it was to create something already in existance. Within two months, the 77mm Howitzer was designed, and production near.

Our natural resources include oil shale, peat, phosphorite, clay, limestone, sand, dolomite, arable land, sea mud, amber, hydropower, wood, timber, natural gas, granite, dolomitic limestone, marl, chalk, gravel, clay, petroleum, bauxite, iron ore, diamond, niobium, manganese, uranium, gold, and tantalum. We also have massive amounts of industry.
