If you're defence budget is 9 billion, that is not slightly too much... that is WAY FRIGGIN' TOO MUCH! Your defence budget is not, 'How much stuff I can buy', it is, 'How much money I have to maintain a military.' It includes not only buying shit, but feeding, clothing, equipping and maintaining your troops. Buying rounds for those big guns. Keeping gas in the tanks. Paying for toilet paper. Buying tents and barracks for your men to live in. Paying for the upkeep of your ships (which actually... it probably costs a few billion just to keep that navy afloat, let alone pay the sailors, keep them stocked and buy the ships...) Anyways... new nations should not be mimicking the ginormous ones they see.

Pretty good military, though your nation needs to grow into it. Kroando is right about the nature of your military budget--it includes all of the various upkeep for your military as well.

I so too AM a nation Riopo. And to answer all of your questions...yes, but only enough funding to allow him to use this military and help him win this war he is fighting. I know it is a third party thing in the rp but you can relate it to RL. There were rumours that the USSR was putting money aside to fund a Scottish rebellion back in the Cold War, and both the Soviets and the Americans acted as third party military funders for Israel and the Allied Arabs states- this sort of thing happens.

Ryou is a good friend RL and on NS this nation is a friend of mine like his previous one but I just don't want another one of his rps to be ripped to shreds because it was no good. You've said that this military is too big for his nation to use and completely agree, but third party funding- at least until the war will make at least the naval element possible.

Of course this is all OOC and i'd rather much forget about it unless the war Ryou is fighting somehow involves me in the future (If the enemy RP it well enough that their intelligence agencies discover i'm funding their foe then by all means i'll join)but to tell the truth it's not my sort of rp. I'm doing this to help a guy who needs more RPing experiance, we should help each other rather than criticise them, i'm also doing this because it adds a bit of spice to a fairly ordinary rp.

Let's just give it a chance but the discussion over the contractor ends here and the critisism over me funding of part of his military to end here. It's happened in RL only too many times and it wouldn't be the first time on NS, just work with it.

Yes you can buy SDs from a storefront, but you also have to pay to keep it in shape, which costs almost as much as the ship did in the first place.

I may disagree with how you RP, and everything else about you, but your military factbook does look much more feasible than the last time I looked at it. At least as compared to most other nations around here, who are your size with armies that dwarf my own.

To be fair the Mishkin is far too cheap. It should probably be in the area of 200-250 billion, not 50 billion.
