Operation: Ambrosial Jaborandi (ATTN Cazelia)

British Londinium
02-09-2007, 22:53
Northolt, British Londinium

Millions of Londinians flocked to the beaches of Northolt, not to frolic in the tropical waters or to bask in the warm sun, but to see some of the most powerful ships in the world prepare to set sail in the name of consul and country. The four Davidson-class superdreadnoughts - the Sir Alistair Davidson, Azzopardi, Sinclair, and Rosenberger - were readying for what the Ministry of War was calling "Operation: Ambrosial Jaborandi", or, as the media liked to call it, the "Third Cazelian War". Whatever one chose to call it, the fact remained that the thousand-vessel armada was beginning to sail towards the last remaining bastion of Cazelian civilization, Yarkai, and blow it back to the Stone Age.

To the Cazelian government:

Consider this communiqué a declaration of war against your nation after its attacks upon the nation of Lord Sumguy. As of now, a massive naval armada is sailing towards Yarkai, and is estimated to arrive within the week. You have no chance of victory. Surrender within twenty four hours, and your people will be treated mercifully. Otherwise, prepare to die.

Sincerely,

Official Cazelian Reply

We did not commit those attacks upon Sumguyan soil. We do not want another war, in which many lives would be lost. We have proof that we did not commit these attacks, due to Yarkai FOB having only one B-52, and our nuclear stockpiles were destroyed during the bombings of Caz'e city by Tigerlan and The World Soviet Party

Official Declaration of Support / War Against Cazelia

The Nation of Cazelia is that of warmongering savages. They attack with a strong head, and pay no attention to the dead they leave in the field. We have encountered these Cazelians, as they attempted to invade the island of Hexon, the soviergn land of Kroando. We officially support all hostilities against Cazelia, and shall send a small force to aid the British Londinian fleet in destroying the Cazelian territory of Yarkai. A State of War shall exist between Kroando and Cazelia untill an unconditional surrender is met.

The Londinian fleets had finally reached the Lilliputian colony of Yarkai, only to find that the enemy had surrendered like the cowards they were.

"Damn it," Fleet Admiral Charles Dalton muttered from the observation deck of the Sir Alistair Davidson. "And I was dying to test this thing out on those fuckers."

"Well, sir, I think you'll have your chance," his assistant said, handing him a piece of paper, still warm from the bridge's printer. "New orders from the War Ministry, authorizing whatever use of force we feel necessary."

"Brilliant, just brilliant," laughed the Fleet Admiral. "Deploy the soldiers, and shell those Cazelian fuckwits until it starts to bore you."

"Yes, sir!"

As three hundred thousand Londinian marines stormed the beaches, killing any Cazelian that even hinted at objection, the four Davidson-classes opened fire at the coastal cities, their massive thirty-two inch guns devastating the land as missiles pockmarked the slums.

The sea was to be covered in fighter aircraft, as Cazelia's advanced S/A-0 stealth fighters unleashed their payload of class two Fuel air bombs, the most destructive non-nuclear weapons known to man...

OOC: You went from unconditional surrender to full military readiness? Okay....your funeral. And I'm still waiting on that map of Yarkai.

"Ladies and gents," Fleet Admiral Dalton said to the bridge crew on his flagship, "The game's afoot. Signal all fleet elements to clear the skies of those fighters."

In less than a minute, all anti-air guns on the massive armada's vessels opened fire, saturating the midafternoon skies with surface-to-air missiles and Goalkeeper CIWS fire, taking special care to shoot down the bombers that were approaching the fleet.

Meanwhile, nine Dassault nEUROn combat UAVs weaved their way through the battlefield, launching several dozen missiles laden with VX nerve gas at the nearest city.

Four of the twelve fighters assigned to the ships were shot down, as the other opened the bomb bay door, and the bombs dropped. The fuel air bombs were destined to do something, and even if the missed, the bombs would still detonate, causing damage to anything underwater

The drones were spotted by SAM and Stinger sites, which promptly fired their weapons en masse.

The SCAESA radar systems on board the capital ships quickly detected the incoming fuel air bombs, and rerouted the CIWS' fire towards them. The bullets ripped through the thin casing, prompting it to explode in the air. Several Eurofighters were destroyed, crashing harmlessly into the sea.

"Attention, attention Cazelian combatants, stand down now," somebody shouted through an exceptionally large megaphone. "Stand down now. Your government has unconditionally surrendered. Stand down now if you wish to live."

Even the ground troops marching steadily on the capital had a sort of cheery determination to their demeanor, as tanks rolling in advance blared out the following message:

President Cornellius' helicopter was met by five members of the Naval Commandos, the elite core of warriors responsible for protecting the vessels of the fleet. The decorations on their black-and-red dress uniforms glistened in the afternoon sun, as did their polished AEK-971 assault rifles.

Silently, he was led through the corridors of the massive superdreadnought, towards the primary observation deck at the top of the conning tower. It was a large, glass affair, with steel frames and a sleek redwood bannister circling the room, giving its occupants a commanding view of the battle-scarred beaches.

As Cornellius entered, the marines stood rigidly by the door, leaving the Cazelian president alone to face the Admiral of the Fleet, Charles Dalton.

"Good afternoon, Mr Cornellius," the admiral said sinisterly. "Glad to have you aboard."

But I do not summon foreign leaders to discuss ship capacities, Mr Cornellius. Kensington wishes for you to formally sign a surrender document."

The admiral withdrew from his pocket a slim Palm Pilot, and casually handed it to the Cazelian.

"In short, this treaty - the Treaty of New Caz'e - will have your government surrender all military forces to British Londinium and fully recognize Londinian sovereignty over all of your land. After the occupation of your country, your military will be restricted to fifty thousand army personnel, sans tanks or heavy artillery. Your navy will be restricted to one hundred thousand tons total displacement, with no ship exceeding five thousand tons - carriers and submarines are prohibited. Furthermore, your air force is limited to five hundred aircraft, none of which may be bombers of any sort. Oh, and no weapons of mass destruction of any type. Of course, you can always refuse...but remember where you and your country are, Mr Cornellius."

We fully understand the need for security during military interrogations, so we will wait until a more appropriate time presents itself. We trust that the prisoner is being given proper treatment of a POW, but time will tell. In the meantime, if any help is required in reconstruction of Yarkai, the Prestonian Marines are happy to oblige. We have much experience in rebuilding damaged areas.

New Caz'e
Londinian Yarkai

"Ah, the joys of proconsulship," sighed Proconsul Marcus Lætonius as he stood on the balcony of what used to be the Presidential residence, watching a procession of fearsome Londinian soldiers marching in perfect step. Hordes of Cazelians cowered in fear and disgust on the sidewalks, making sure to give the soldiers a wide berth. Many of them probably remembered the first Cazelian-Londinian War, and most likely lacked fond memories of the internment camps...or the blender.

But those were relics of the past - internment camps were no longer needed as engineers installed CCTV cameras in every room of every building and on every street corner. Privacy would no longer exist for the Cazelians - every move of theirs would be constantly watched by the Proconsular Office, and the slightest hint of insurrection would be beaten into a bloody pulp by the metaphorical iron fist of Londinian rule.

Of course, one had to remind the Cazelians just why they did not wish to trifle with the Londinians, and thus one giant blender stood in the city square, as a testament to the absolute control over Yarkai. They were lucky it would never be used.

Outside Occupied Airspace

"Yarkai has been subdued, and the time has come for us to move in. This provides us with a golden opportunity to make money off of the Cazelians, you know." Proconsul Trepov stared out over the sunlit waters off of the coast, watching miles of ocean pass by and the distant outline of Yarkai drawing ever closer. He was traveling with a single other passenger, an official from the Vetalian Economic Development Council, the main lobbying group for relations between the government and major businesses in the country.

"Yes, hopefully, the new government will be willing to grant us a concession in the territory, something small where we can build a business enclave and. They'd keep control over it, but with virtually no taxes and a rubber-stamp permitting process, we could easily build up the region in to a new tourist hub. God only knows how many Vetalians would like to take advantage of 'exotic' Cazelia. Maybe we could stock some of those tiger things for a magic show or stage fights between them, I don't know." The other man was Ivan Ryzhkov, a relative of the late Praetor Ryzhkov. He had spent considerable time rebuilding the family in the wake of the Praetor's assasination, and his appointment to Chairman was a major step in that direction. Practically, the VEDC was only slightly less powerful than the Ministry of Economic Development itself.

"Well, there will be plenty of time to discuss it once we've landed. No doubt the Londinians still have strict security around the region, but our paperwork is in order and landing clearance shouldn't be too difficult." The Proconsul signaled for a drink while he organized his passport and identification for the likely stringent security checks.

As the plane approached occupied airspace, the pilots sent their identification to the temporary ATCs and waited for approval before entering Londinian airspace. Upon approval, they would ideally land without delay and present their documentation to the security forces. They would then attempt to schedule meeting with the occupation's administrators to discuss the future of Vetalian territorial and economic claims in the region. The consulate in Vetalian Cazelia had already dispatched cars and arranged for lodgings, which would make their stay in the country all the more easy.

Communique to Londinian Occupiers

Greetings! I am Admiral Makov of the Kroandon 3rd Naval Taskforce. As you may or may not know, Cazelia launched an attack some time ago against the Kroandon Island of Hexon, costing us considerable expense in missiles and artillery shells which we used to massacre his soldiers. We also had to clean up the burning planes he carelessly left on our island. Anyways, I have been sent to collect reparation money, so I request permission to land a few hundred men in the city to ransack the treasury, taking enough to reinburst us in full for the trouble they have caused. Once this is complete we will go home and leave you to your new lands. Please inform me of where my Legionnaires should land.

Thank you for your time,

Rest assured, that with the proper amount of force and pressure, it will sink in. Wanderjar has no legal basis to remove the coalition presence from Yarkai; the invasion of Cazelia was completely justified, as the country authorized a nuclear attack on an ally of British Londinium.

In short, Cazelia remains in the hands of the coalition nations, and it will not be ceded.

Sincerely,

Thank you for your time,
Admiral Makov

"Kensington its Love............. Actually"

With the forces of The People's Sovereign Republic of British Londinium in full offensive operation against the nation of Cazelia and with the Vetakan Defence Forces stretched to breaking point and unable to intervene to assist the Cazelia in their valiant struggle the Vetakan Government took a dramatic and some would say an eye opening approach to the situation.

At precisely 06:00 Kensington Local Time 5 VDF B-22 Zeus Bombers escorted by 5 FA-15 Cardinals the Flight flew over Kensington with the permission of the Londinium Government and dropped no less than 100,000 copies of the popular DVD Love Actually. In a scene best befitting and defining the Berlin Airlift.

The Londinium Populace awoke to a rain of love to remind them that although their Government brings death and destruction to Cazelia the People of Vetaka still love them.

Ministry of Economic Development Press Release

Thanks to the work of the ministry as well as the generosity of the Londinian government, we are pleased to announce the opening of the new territory of Vetalian New Cazelia, centered on an island to the south of the mainland and the capitol city of Tornus.

In accordance with our economic goals in the region, the land has the following tax incentives:

Zero personal income tax
Zero sales tax
10-year abatement on all properties
5-year abatement on all revenue
Fast permitting and favorable regulatory environment
Tax deductions for construction of infrastructure, hospitality and leisure, and gaming facilities.

The island will be defended by 20,000 Colonial Service troops in addition to the standard police forces to ensure that the island's profitability and stability remain uncontested. This is a rare economic opportunity that few regions offer and we encouraged interested investors to contact the General Government of the territory for more information.

Starting as soon as possible, we will offer regularly scheduled flights to Tornus as well as the other islands of the region. In addition, the Ministry of State plans to negotiate new passport and customs laws to ensure easy, hands-free travel between the islands in the region.

New Caz'e

The Cazelian Treasury was to be looted. Not of paper, money, for that was worthless, but their valuables. Their stockpiles of gold bricks, their diamonds, their luxuries. Legionnaires worked non-stop, hauling boxes of gold bricks to and fro, loading transport vehicles to the brim, then escorting them back to transport ships, which would in turn take the loads of gold back to the main carriers. However once the treasury was empty, they still had not met their quota, the damned Cazelians had not paid enough. So the local jewelry stores were visited. Soldiers busted out the windows, ran inside, guns drawn and sacks open. They were filled with gold braclets, silver necklaces, diamond rings and ruby ornaments. Precious gems and metals were all being taken, and loaded into the trucks, as the Cazelians simply owed more than they were giving. Finally the private banks were hit, agian, not for money, but for the safety deposit boxes. They were blown open with small explosive charges, and emptied of their contents. Sometimes jewlery, sometimes stacks of foriegn currency, sometimes junk. Regardless, it was all taken. Finally cardealerships were ransacked, with scores of luxury cars being stolen and driven onto the massive Kroandon landing craft. After roughly 32 hours of non-stop Kroandon looting, preformed by some 1,000 soldiers, they had enough. Their ships full and weighed down with goods, they simply turned away and went home.

They were all marched into the city square, every single citizen. There, a man in black with red trimmings stood at a podium. He announced, with great pleasure, that none of them owned anything and that all properties in the Colony of Outland belonged to the State. With extreme prejudice, the soldiers came to them each, one at a time, ripping out earrings, tearing off clothes, and breaking off necklaces. Once done there, the soldiers circled around the cities, demolishing everything for use as construction materials, but first going in and taking everything. Everything was sold or used.

Under the Conquered Rule Act, the currency, now useless, along with anything else of national value, copies of the constitution, national animals, flags, etc. were thrown into a giant pile and burned in front of the proles. From there, under the Conquered Rule Act, factories were built on nonarable land, while farms were built on arable land. The proles managed to scrap up enough money to purchase huts near the work, but that and food and water was all they could afford.

A member of the Outer Party, administration in the factories and farms, looked hatefully at the proles. All around him, and everywhere for that fact, were banners, posters, and paintings of the legendary Big Brother. To those that were educated enough, they recognized that Big Brother was in fact former president Jim Martini. Cameras, absolutely everywhere, searched, looking for signs of rebellion. Grafitti graced every wall, with the Vantanian Colonial Motto, "War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength"

Meanwhile, a member of the Inner Party, surveyed the other members of the Inner Party, manning the many cameras, watching for disturbances. Satisfied, he walked to the governors office, and handed him a report. The office was pristine, the bookcase dusted hourly, fit with beautifully ornate original copies. He was in a black pinstripe suit, with short hair and a tiny upperlip moustache. He twiddled it playfully while he read the report.

The following is an exerpt from an untitled work by the dissident Leonid Petrov:

"Unlike many other countries in Yarkai, Vetalian occupation was outwardly mild. The police adhered to the laws and protections of Vetalia proper, the citizens were free from overzealous security checks and monitoring. Indeed, save for the occasional military patrol it appeared as if nothing had changed. However, below that surface lurked a far more subtle form of occupation, one meant to permanently destroy the chance of rebellion.

It started with the passage of laws eliminating many taxes on income and various forms of investment. As a gesture to the occupied people, the former Cazelian credits were overvalued relative to the ruble, allowing the people to exchange their now worthless currency with little economic penalty. Initially, this was a boon to the Cazelians, as they were freed from the higher taxes collected by their former rulers and the economy revived as foreign investment poured in. However, with this investment came billions of Vetalian rubles, which rapidly muscled out the domestic economy and became the primary driver for growth.

Casinos, bars, tourist resorts, theme parks, luxury hotels, spas and every variety of facility both glamorous and decadent soon sprouted on the island and in the capitol city. Initially, these facilities employed the native Cazelians, but the mass of Vetalian immigration spurred by the low taxes and beautiful weather soon displaced them. There was no need to teach those workers the Cyrillic alphabet or Russian language needed to communicate, and as the foreigners eked out a larger and larger share of the economy, the native language began to also be displaced, driven increasingly towards the bottom of the socioeconomic spectrum. Behind this army advanced the waves of Vetalian tourists and wealthy families, who erected vast mansions and summer homes across the country.

The economic boom produced businesses swollen with cash, and soon this cash proved irresistable to the remaining Cazelian businesses on the island. Everything, from farms, to power plants, to shopping malls and factories were soon sold to the Vetalian investors. These investors, of course, used their ties with the police and government to great effect, discovering violations that only occurred in Cazelian factories and mysterious appreciations in land value that drove property taxes through the roof. Either by hook, crook, or greed, they soon controlled almost all of the country's economic assets. With the government in their pocket, the island became a hub for organized crime, with drugs, arms, and even slaves routed through the island's neon-soaked underbelly for destinations in Tornus and abroad. As a result of this multi-pronged war on the natives, within a decade, the native population had been utterly displaced. The native language and culture were completely marginalized to the point where the territory only recognized Cyrillic as its alphabet and Russian its language.

Although the bright lights and gleaming heights of the island were a sight to behold, and a bastion of Vetalia's prosperity, they were also the clearest sign that the occupation had achieved its goals: The Cazelian culture had literally been wiped out and its people relegated to the bottom of society..."

New Invercargill (formerly New Caz'e)

For the most part, the Londinian Proconsular regime did not see fit to place horribly draconian restrictions on the day to day activities of the Cazelian people. They had tried that during the first Londinian-Cazelian War, only to have it blow up in their face.

For the most part, the only overt signals of the Londinian occupation, besides the incessant propaganda, were increased military patrols and checkpoints on all major roads, including the motorways coursing through the city.

New Invercargill was a city typical of the post-automobile era - full of sprawl and suburban developments, with the central business district miles away from the residences of most residents, making the area very dependent on the highway system. As a result, the city's primary thoroughfare was deemed the perfect place for the most overt symbol of victory: the triumphal arch. Whilst many were made of more conventional building materials, this one, fifty meters tall and stretching over all eight lanes of the road, was built out of the military hardware that Cazelia could no longer possess. It was an architectural cacophony of stealth bomber components, destroyer hulls, main battle tank chaises, and artillery guns, all welded together from the parts of destroyed Cazelian vehicles, the rest of which were being used for scrap metal back in British Londinium proper.

Proconsul Lætonius finally achieved the goal of every Londinian occupation: to break the spirit of the subjugated.

Unlike in other colonies the Cazelians were treated fairly well. They were granted Aurum Doman citizenship and were offered a chance to join the Colonial Defense Forces. Many joined and many others went to work in the massive precious metal and gem mines. The workers had a guaranteed pay and any able Cazelian could apply for a job. Far from destroying them, the Aurum Domans were helping the Cazelians out. They were still turning a massive profit and that was really all that mattered.

IndentThe territory of sovereign Cazelia, under occupation by the British Londinium forces, was one of strategic importance to the Reich. The People’s Republic of Kaztania, a Wanderjarian “Commonwealth State”, had been established from one of its many cities and surrounding areas. The region was pacified and then its young male population conscripted into the Kaztanian People’s Army. Five hundred thousand men in all, they composed three new Army Corps into the Wanderjarian Wehrmacht, and would be used to under go this campaign against British Londinium and its occupation. The OKW appointed Wanderjarian SS Officers to lead the Campaign from the Corps and Army level, and as such at the International Kaztanian Airport, where the OKW-SS Kommand Center was established, had an entire wing dedicated to running the short invasion of the BL held areas.
IndentSS-Obersturmfuhrer Eidel stood surrounded by other officers, all hovering eagerly above a large map of the area they would soon be assaulting. The plan was simple, Destroyer Squadrons would move in to provide coastal artillery, and fire rockets into enemy held positions, supported by Mogami Air Defense Cruisers to prevent enemy aircraft from attacking the destroyers. Meanwhile, the troops would be ferried across that night, before the Destroyers engaged, and landed on the shores. They would immediately move inward, and attempt to sack the capital city, and drive the BL troops out. Wanderjarian Panzerkampfwagon XXs’, and Behemoth III Super Heavy Battle Tanks, as well as a Wanderjarian Luftwaffe Air Support Wing was to be sent to provide air cover, while fighter squadrons would hit enemy aircraft in conjunction with the Destroyer units and Mogami ADCs.
IndentOnce the enemy was driven out of the city, the Kaztanians would maintain defensive positions throughout the area, and slowly move out into the country side, ultimately driving BL from the territory of Sovereign Cazelia. The political goal here was however, to annex Sovereign Cazelia into Kaztania, however this goal was known only to the highest tier Commanders in the Wanderjarian Wehrmacht, and the Fuhrer himself.
IndentAs the Kaztanian soldiers prepared to board their respective transport ships, misinformation about a deployment to another of the many Wanderjarian Combat theaters was in the works. This would hopefully buy the Kaztanian soldiers at least an hour to make the crossing across the channel. Once landed, there was nothing that the British troops could do to dislodge them. All they needed was to make it ashore. And as they set sail, all said a silent prayer. This was their first combat operation ever. They each were afraid. Yet, as the war they were destined to fight in grew ever closer, and the still moon hung high in the sky above them, they grew ready, rifles loaded, knives sheathed, and ammunition packed into ammunition pouches which they wore over their uniforms or hung onto their body armor.

These stealthy insurgents were trained by the Ghost ops themselves, making them skilled in melee, marksmanship and radical reconstuction (explosives). These men would help the Wanderjarian forces overtake the Londinians, act as snipers, and make surgical strikes behind enemy territory.

In Tornus

The sun shined down on the warm, humid streets of Tornus as the city awoke to another day of languid prosperity. From the front, the city's profile was striking: to the right lay a veritable canyon of new hotels and casinos built by some Vetalian firm for their new megaproject, to the left the administrative core of the city with its elegant offices and parks, to the hinter the rich vacation homes and residences overlooking the bay, and on all sides the streets below were already packed with tourists and residents enjoying yet another beautiful day in the territory. However, the bustling sounds of the city were soon interrupted by the sound of sirens as a group of police vehicles drove down the street below, clearing the way of cars and other vehicles.

A few minutes passed, but soon the sounds of drums and music could be heard, as could the regimented thunder of marching soldiers. In the distance, a column of soldiers five wide moved closer and closer, interspersed with officers, bands, and standards marking the regiments. They passed through the streets in perfect precision, heading for the administrative district where a platform bedecked with flags and buntings stood and on it were a number of dignitaries from the local government. They passed by the reviewing stand for a considerable amount of time before moving on to an unseen location beyond the compound. However, once the parade was done, the streets were reopened and the city returned to normal. It was a strange occasion, for sure, but hardly unusual given the upcoming inauguration of the new Viceroyal Praetor.

However, it was unusual, as the city would soon find out. Later that evening, patrols swept through the city, posting notices on which the seal of the General Government was stamped, which automatically revealed it to be not just a city-wide policy but territory-wide. They were as follows:

Office of the General Government

In the wake of the increased security threat to the territories in Cazelian Yarkai, the Vetalian government has hereby increased the security commitment to our territories to better protect the interests of our civilians and our position in the region. The Colonial Army will be expanded from 20,000 to 100,000 and a task force from the Vetalian Navy will be dispatched to ensure that the waterways remain secure and illegal contraband is properly captured and destroyed.

In addition, all Cazelian citizens of our territory are hereby required to register with the General Government to better monitor their communities and to maintain the prosperity that our administration has brought.

Official Proconsular Communiqué

http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z259/pertinax201/yarkaiproconsulship.png

Open Declaration to the Residents of Londinian Yarkai:

As of now, all internal travel within Londinian Yarkai is suspended. Any individual found outside of their domiciles, at any time, for any reason, will be immediately arrested and tried for subversion by special tribunal. Communications between Cazelian nationals within Londinian Yarkai will now be subject to monitoring by the Proconsular Office.

Furthermore, a thorough sweep of the islands will be made over the course of the next few weeks to seize all weapons in the possession of the populace. Possession of any object that can be used as a projectile weapon will now be a capital offence.

Also, the wearing of clothes by Cazelians is hereby prohibited and punishable by fifty years in the Tasmanian penal colony. This is a security measure to minimize the risk of concealed weapons.

With contempt for all Cazelia,
Proconsul Marcus Lætonius

Office of the General Government of Vetalian Yarkai

By the order of the Viceroyal Praetor, Boris Antyuhin, the territory of Vetalian Yarkai is hereby opened to inspection by Londinian authorities for weapons and illegal contraband possessed by Cazelian nationals. Lists of these nationals and their locations will be provided to ensure the most effective sweep possible. Vetalian citizens as well as travelers from other nations are all encouraged to keep their proper identification on hand to ensure that they are not inadvertently targeted during security sweeps. Although foreign nationals and Vetalians can be easily identified apart from Cazelians, mistakes do occur and we want our residents and visitors to have as pleasant an experience as possible in Yarkai.

We strongly suggest that no Cazelian attempt to forge Vetalian identification documents or attempt to pass themselves off as our citizens. Your accents and lack of information about our culture and language will give you away immediately and penalties are harsh.

Great Vantanian Colony of Outlands

"But sir, I need it to tenderize meat for my father!" wailed a young mother, standing in front of a feeble old man. "Piss poor luck for you then." the soldier said, garbed to look incredibly inhuman, grabbing the brat's face he dragged her out. His fellow soldiers got the old man and the husband, and together they threw the abominations into the back of a truck.

There they were driven on a very bumpy road, getting cut by the menacing points in the interior, until they arrived at a court building. From there, there was private talking with the jurors and judge, all members of the Outer Party and Inner Party respectivly, before they all returned. The poor Cazelian family was sentenced to death.

A man in a black hood dragged them out, strapping them to three chairs. Then, three cauldrons were brought out, steam coming out of them. They had their mouthes pried open, and the molten lead poured down. After a precalculated time, the lead stopped, and the three were allowed to heal, until the process continued again. Eventually, after several rounds of this pain, the three died, and were thrown into a giant bonfire, to insure that they weren't faking it. The smoke from the bonfire helped push turbines to power the death machine that was the Outlandish Judiciary Machine.

Great Vantanian Announcment: (To EVIL Nations in Yarkai only)

The Great Vantanian Colony of Outland has hereby announced that all 'Cazelians' in the Great Vantanian Colony of Outland will not be allowed to own anything, and that if they are found in posession of anything that is illegal for Cazelians (everything but food and water) they will be killed for theft.

Also, after the recent apprehension of a spiked hammer from a teenage 'Cazelian', all members of her village have been killed via molten lead consumption.

That is all.

OOC: Come on Caz, give me a treat. Try to liberate Outland, I dare you.

Vetalian Tornus

At first, it was but a trickle, but soon the trickle turned in to a flood as Cazelian refugees fled to the colony of Vetalian Tornus to escape the brutality of other sections for the comparative complacency of the Vetalian section. Some traveled semi-legally, using the last of their savings to purchase passage to Vetalian Tornus under assumed identity, while others fled through whatever means possible, be it via a homemade raft, simple fishing boat or a shipping container paid for by smugglers looking to make a buck off of the situation. However they escaped, they did it quickly, for capture meant imprisonment or brutal execution if they were apprehended outside of Vetalian waters.

They traveled, of course, because Vetalian Tornus was a veritable paradise compared to the hellish places from which they fled. They could get a job, own property and vehicles, attend schools and colleges and have access to all of the services and infrastructure they could afford. Of course there were restrictions, such as the occasional police sweep, Londinian inspectors and mandatory registration with the government, but they were minor and didn't pose the existential risk of, say, forced consumption of molten lead. They could even travel in and out of the country, a rarity even before the added security measures imposed to contain any subversive movements. By and large, the Cazelians were free to live their lives, even if those lives were marginalized by the economic policies of the General Government. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=537261&page=4)

Vetalian reaction to these refugees was, naturally, rather opportunistic. The island needed fresh supplies of unskilled and manual labor, and the Cazelians were more than willing to take the jobs offered despite the low wages and tough working hours. This, of course, strengthened the local economy and resulted in a significant income boost to the Vetalian businessowners of the island. For now, the situation actually worked quite to everyone's advantage, although there was no guarantee this prosperity under duress would last.

Cruorem Insula, Yarkai

Cruorem Insula welcomed other Cazelians with open arms. On the surface it was just another economic oppotunity designed to make The Armed Republic more money but something else was also going on. Resistance members were slipping in and gathering their forces in Cruorem in preparation for the war that was almost certainly going to happen. Aurum Doman officials ignored the Black Lotus members, if it came to war they would love an excuse to fight the hated British Londinium.

SIC:

"HALT!" Screamed a man weilding an RPG. With a click, the grenade shot forward at the fishing craft, which had drifted to far from the designated fishing area. The craft exploded magnificantly, sending a ball of flames into the air. No sooner then the man eased back, then his radio crackled out his next mission, "Joe... bunch of bogies leaving... Under the Fugitive Slave Act you're to kill them... They're headed towards Vetalian territory... Go!"

A grin filling Joe's face, he quickly started gunning his ship towards the escaping slaves. He finally reached them near the Vetalian border. An RPG blasted apart the first, and then, out of ammo, he switched to a flamethrower. Zipping nearer, he burned the second and third of the four vessels. The fourth ramshackle vessel was lit on fire two inches from Vetalian waters. He quickly took several pictures, showing the buoys marking Vetalian waters and the burning boat nearest to it. He got it from multiple angles to insure that they'd be able to see the boats, obviously due to their ramshackle construction Cazelian, were never in Vetalian waters.

Since these two agencies will focus on the same problem, this location will optimize mutual intelligence sharing and coordination in regard to the subversive activities of the Black Lotus organization in our territory and abroad.

Construction may begin as soon as you wish, and any questions can be fielded to the Office of the General Government or the Viceroyal Praetor himself should the matter be of extreme importance.

All throughout Londinian Cazelia, small but powerful loudspeakers mounted in the widespread CCTV cameras silently clicked on.

"Attention all Cazelians within the Londinian sector," they blared. "This is an official announcement from the Proconsular Office. All Cazelians have now been declared enemies of the state due to continued resistance efforts, however futile, on behalf of the Black Lotus terrorist organization. As such, all Cazelians with Londinian Yarkai will be deported to the Tasmania forthwith. Thank you."

The speakers clicked off as Londinian soldiers began dragging naked, fearful Cazelians into nearby naval transports.
