Morsnia is a nation only now entering into the global stage. The Dominion of Morsnia has struggled through economic depressions, famines, and political upheaval. Now, led by a new political party The Dominion of Morsnia has been working for over a decade on what they call the 'Great Leap Forward': the simultaneous strengthening of the Morsnian economy and military. Through countless government programs the nation's economy has jumped from third world to first and so too must the nation's quality of living and means of defense.
The President of Morsnia spoke today in a broadcast transmitted publicly, to any and all nations.
“For the longest time the Morsnian soldier was a man who underwent an hour's worth of training, teaching him how to march and how to fire an automatic weapon. Infantry was merely for parades and the air force consisted of a Russian helicopter held together by ducktape. Our soldiers have lacked the training to operate as a real combatant; The majority of our armed forces only experience is outdated war game's and parade marches.
Our methods of fighting our archaic at best, the majority of our troops being trained from a dusty manual on trench warfare. Weaponry is also sub-standard; the most advanced rifle in the Morsnian arsenal being a number of poorly maintained AK-47's. War and terrorism run rampant, the world is consumed by violence and we lack the means to strike back. If Morsnia was ever threatened I fear that we would not have the means or the strength to defend ourselves. Our people are a strong and brave, countless young men and women are clamoring to defend their motherland...but we do not how to utilize them to their fullest potential.
The government and the people of Morsnia are united in the belief that we must enter into the age of post-modern technology and to do that we must have the means to defend ourselves. We reach out to more advanced nations to lend us aid and to sell us the technology we require. You will find us a staunch ally.
