A Drawing of Blood [Closed: WoM]

Who ever heard of a house inside a painting inside a house? The Pure Blood Inquisitors, that's who. Their base of operations for nigh seventy years had resided inside a picture frame that lay on the mantle of an abandoned house in a spooky little town to the west of London. The dark members of the order apparated to the edge of the town and entered the house through its basement entrance. With the utterance of the correct phrase and the proper touch, one would enter the unique magical painting (connected to no others) and appear on the walkway up to an old Victorian home.

To the west of the house stood a tall, obsidian obelisk with a ruby crest that towered over the wood abode. As the sun set over the western hills, the light hit the ruby topping and turns blood red as it pours over the meeting room just beyond...

Inside, a round table of equal seating sat in what would seem to be the only room used in the house in the last century and a half. Dark objects adorn the room; a withered hand, a black key, a green swirling orb, and much more.

The Pure Blood Inquisitors meet at their headquarters here, safe from the prying eyes of the Ministry and foolish attempts of would-be-heroes. They meet and discuss their plans to bring about the next reign of the Pure Bloods. At the moment, no single member stands above the rest, for any discussion of the matter usually brings much disagreement and counterproductive infighting. Though their numbers had dwindled after the last Blood War, they grow once again, anchored by their loyal senior members. Though they have some of the more powerful magic users in the country, especially with their use of dark curses and forbidden magic, the Pure Bloods must be clever in their attacks and plan or else the might of the Ministry and protection of Exeter Academy will finish them.

Their aim is to bring about a new order with Pure Bloods as the first class and all others beneath them. They generally hate mixed-bloods (half-bloods) and muggle-borns (magic users born to both muggle parents), as well as pure-blood traitors (pure-bloods that are against them). Whether they wish to make muggles their slaves or not depends on the Pure Bloods currently at the helm of the movement as it has changed from war to war. They wish for the whole wizard world to be under their control, and thus their plan often includes taking over the Ministry.

At the moment, as the members gather inside the building, one-by-one entering through the painting and arriving in the yard, a lone figure hovers above the meeting table. Held upside down in the air by magic, the man is kept unconscious by a simple curse as blood slowly drips from his mouth onto the table below. Never seeming to end, the drips of blood begin forming a blood-red image on the white table cloth... a Phoenix; the symbol of their Order - undying, powerful, and always reborn again from its own ashes...

[OOC: This is the meeting place (thread) for the Pure Blood Fanatics, though note that they probably wouldn't call themselves "fanatics," but rather something more noble like the guardians of wizarding purity or something twisted. This if not for students, but rather for older members of the wizarding community. You can RP your character's family member(s) or just a random person as being a member. At the moment they are gathering and discussing their move. As noted above, they don't have a super powerful character like Voldy, so their initial attempts will have to be more clever and indirect as the Ministry is currently against them (though not all members of it) and the world's most powerful wizard resides as the Headmaster of Exeter. About the meeting place itself, it is not connected to other pictures so people in photos can't walk in, it is restricted to Inquisitors (not even supporters, just the senior members), and it isn't connect to any world, so if you travel around in it, there will just be nothing. If you have any questions, post them in the Main OOC (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=537142) thread.]

Nero Blackstone strutted confidently into the chamber. Named Which Witch Magazine's "Sexiest Sorcerer" contest seven years in a row, Blackstone certainly was a sight to behold. What he lacked in stature, he made up in sex appeal. His hair was red with black streaks and flowed down to his broad shoulders. His blue-green eyes were intense, the kind that once you looked in, you never looked away. His lips, his most famous feature, were full and pursed.

Although he was almost forty, he still maintained a very youthful look. It was rumored that he spent at least three hours a day on his appearence.

Blackstone took his place at the table and began to speak. His voice was husky, and he always seemed to speak as if he were trying to seduce his audience.

"My fellow Inquistors, great progress has been made this night. As the news media will soon discover, one Mapel Olivery has been killed. For those who are unfamiliar with Ms. Olivery, she was a mud blood supporter. However, it seems, that she has had an unfortunate 'accident'," Blackstone smiled slightly, "Apparently Ms. Olivery was burned at the stake by Muggles...how horrifying in this day and age." Blackstone let out a little laugh, "The Ministry is trying to hush it all up, but someone has leaked the story to the press. My fellow Inquistors, we must take advantage of this 'coincidence'." Blackstone finished speaking, obviously pleased with himself. It hadn't been too hard, an Imperius Curse here, some memory modification there, and abra cadabra, there was a controversy.

"Indeed!" cried a voice from somewhere around the table. "We must use this opportunity to garner support. Encourage those who wish to see anti-muggle legislation passed and stir up the heated feelings about our rightful places above them."

"If we must bring back the witch trials of Olde, then so be it...!"

Blackstone gave a slight smile, "We must continue this sort of action. Killing Ms. Olivery is not enough, we must take more drastic action." His smile growing, he looked around the table.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Order, I propose that we involve Exeter Academy in these attacks," Blackstone waited as the controversial propositon sunk in. "An attack by 'Muggles' on the Academy will instill fear in the population. Every parent seeks the well being of their child, any threat towards the children of Exeter will result in an uproar from the Wizarding community more violent than any of us can imagine. Obviously, we cannot strike now, we must wait for the heat to die down a bit from the Olivery murder, but we cannot wait too long. It will not be easy, fellow pure-bloods, but I believe it can be done."

"All very fine," another wizard's voice came from the side. It was dark, calm, and grim, ushering it a light silence over the discussion. "But how do you propose we convince the community muggles did it? You know well that that they can't see Exeter, let alone attack it. And putting them under the imperious curse would be pretty obvious - the most likely of guesses if muggles somehow attack Exeter out of the blue. What do you propose?"

There were murmurs on both sides of the issue, but it was a dull roar in anticipation of Blackstone's response.

Blackstone grimaced. Strangely enough, although his face showed displeasure, it was still seductive and alluring.

"Friend, this cannot be achieved through the fithly uncivilized Mud-Blood community. No my brother, we must utilize the Mud-blood's that pollute our own civilzation. As for motivation, the Imperius Curse isn't the only way to get we want," Blackstone smirked.

"So my plan is simple: over the course of the next couple of months, we fuel the fire. Editorials, demonstrations, the works. We have a couple of more Muggle attacks, just to make Ms. Olivery's demise seem less like a random incident. When tensions are high, we commission a wizard of Mud Blood descent to commit an act of terror against Exeter Academy."
