Dear Elizabeth
How are you my dear? I hope you are keeping well. We have been having terrible weather here. I expect you will be wanting to know where here is. Right now we're at port in the Azores but soon I will be commanding the largest naval force ever put together by our great Empire heading for the untouched continent of Australia. 200 ships they tell me will be under my command. I have had personal orders from the king to matin the armada at all costs.It is a very exiting job as you can expect. There are soldiers to load onto ships and colonists to order. About 32,500 people are involved in this expedition in all including: 5,000 troops;15,000 colonists and 2,500 sailors. All in all I am enjoying myself thoroughly. Missing you terribly my dear send my love to the children.

Where the hell did you get 5,000 ships from? And how did you get so many people together, so quickly I might add? And why would you need so many ships? The natives of Australia won't be mounting much of a naval defense ;).

Australia is wayyyy too far away from your nearest supply line (base) in Morrocco. I'm gonna have to rule this one out. Sorry.

The landscape was harsh and did not treat the Mussies well. 2000 people in all died mainly convicts and slaves. People set about doing what they could and finally they found that the land was perfect for dried fruit, cereals, wine and beef. The natives which there seemed many of at first all disappeared quite quickly due to diseases.The natives which where left seemed quite scared of the solders and towns folk and never created a problem. The land of Australia is now flourishing and expeditions have been sent into the center of this marvelous continent.

OCC.Antigonal you might be getting a lot more wine,beef,cereals,wool,lamb and fish through your SA port so that might raise your IC. Any one else apart from Antigonal(the same goes for him if he doesn't stick to his allotted land.Even if he does colonize Aussie I will be very unhappy) who invades Aussie I will lay siege to your settlements there and plundering any ships of yours I see in the region.

Gold and diamonds have been discovered in Australia causing a massive gold rush 35,000 people have been rushing to Australia to see what riches they can find.This is bringing the number of Mussies in Australia up to 110,000. Not including solders. The area settled has also increased.

I have set up a company based in New Stockholm, it is called the Eastern Sphere. I have also encouraged industry in Australia and have moved factories there that produce clothes,wine and food stuffs. I expect this will cost me 10 IP but raise my IP in Australia up 6 points.

Sorry Mussle, you can't just move industry, in fact your IP doesn't have to do with being industrialized. It has to do with your potential to industrialized which means it has more to do with raw materials and resources. If your IP is high, industry will create itself.

By the way, I don't know if I ever gave you Australia's IP but it's 34.

Captain Van Ericson of the Elite Kings Watch stepped on to the shore.His leather boots sunk deep into the hot sand as he scanned the horizon. This would make a good spot for a settlement. His scouts had told him that there was good farming to be done father in land. Though the primary point of the settlement would be to act as a stop off point for ships taking goods back to the homelands. His scouts had also reported to him that there was little natives in the area as the land here about did not have good game. Any natives that lived on these shores and had made use of the excellent fishing had been convinced to leave by the Empire's troops. He would tell the captain of the fleet that it was safe to let the colonists off board and to off load the supplies and building materials. Soon this land would see a lot more people.

OOC: Cool Mussle, where exactly in South Africa do you want this colony?

Oh, and by the way, I'm thinking about moving into my designated areas in Australia and New Zealand, though I am somewhat unsure of my boundaries there.

:mad: You're boundaries are a strip of costal land 20 miles in in New South Wales, Tasmania and the bottom bit of New Zealand. I will be very annoyed if you move into Australia though and might encourage piracy on the sneaky. :p

Can I say that there are another 5,000 people in Aussie? It has been a while and people are making a fortune out of Crops,Cattle and the Gold Rush.

50,000? I would have said more like 5,000. Maybe seven or eight....

If you wanna expand your territory and bring in new colonists you might just wanna lump it into one RP post. Ya know, take it from the perspective of a teary eyed native who is watching their a baggage train of some of the new arrivees moving settling down into his ancestoral lands. Then maybe RP a brief native retaliation which could probably just be settled by local militias if they worked together.

Try not to just say what happened when you RP, try to make a decent sized post from someone's point of view. Like:

Lewis sat a top the hill. The young boy idlying kicked around a rock and watched the sunset. It had been a week since his father had left to fight the heathen natives in the north and he had grown anxious. It should not have taken this long. Yesterday they had recieved word that the militias had killed nearly 27 natives at a pass not far from here and that the campaign was going well.

Then you could say his father rode up across the horizon, fast foward a bit, the father tells the kid some of the details of battle and how you won. Or you could take it from the perspective of one of the soldiers in your army, your commander, or a native opposing you. Just an example.

Adoni was dreaming he was in the forest, the sacred place. Where human souls went to be tormented by the birds screeching like demons. All above him the forest grew taller and taller till it towered above him he turned round and saw the body of the leader of a tribe that had traded with his that morning. He had a slit across his stomach through which blood was oozing,dark and red, staining the forest floor. In his hand the man was caring his heart beating thump,thump,thump.

"What do you want?" Asked Adoni
The man just stared at him and let out a long moaning breath.
"What do you want?" Adoni asked again.

The man's pupils widened. Blood was seeping from his mounth now.
"run" He rasped "RUN"


Adoni woke up with a start the birds where silent around him. Only a dog was barking. He looked to either side of him his wife and little boy where lying next to him his wife muttered.

"Go kill that dog"

A few seconds later.

"Go kill that dog Adoni please"

Suddenly a yelp came from a corner of the town the dog had stopped. Adoni saw torches moving through the camp and squinted. There where men in plates of steel gathering in a circle around the village. Moving as silently as possible fanning out raising long wooden sticks to there shoulders. Adoni shook his wife Jannali.

"Jannali wake up its important wake up! I want you to take the boy and hide ok. Do it now."

But one of the men in metal plates had screamed some word in devils tongue and fire and smoke had erupted all along the village. Adoni blacked out. He did manage to wake up in time however to be able to see his wife being raped and beaten to death.



((OCC. Will finish the rest tomorrow. Basically he gets taken as a slave and tooken to the main city in the new colony. There is a map below of what I am going to take plus I think I will pay people $10,000 to move to Australia))

OOC: If you offer each colonist 10,000 dollars plus ship fair to Australia you are gonna run into some serious economic problems. It will tie up a good deal of IP.
