Socialist Government steps down, Military takes control

It has been three days since the end of the war with kroando and national unrest is at all time high. With the failures of running the nation by Generalissimo Jorge Gonzalez a military coup by Generalissimo Franco Martinez occurred last night. Gonzalez's men did not fight and Jorge Gonzalez gave a voluntary surrender. Generalissimo Martinez's first order will be to increase the defense of Mokastana, rebuild the navy, and rebuild Mokastana by assuming control of the Mexican region the local governments cannot control. Hear we have a transcript and summary of Generalissimo Martinez's first speech to the nation:

My fellow Mokas, President Dugal died last night in the hospital. His death symbolized the end of the dysfunctional effects of socialism on our great nation......From now on we are to join the rest of the nation in the Capitalist ways.....Also we will reclaim the Mexican nations that we once called brothers, it is time all Hispanic peoples joined under one flag.

Today we see the final step in the Hispanic conquest as Mokan troops claim Guatemala. A few other nations are trying to get a piece of the pie in Mexico however their lack of troops is making it difficult.

Field Marshall Franco Martinez announce new Military hardware

New tanks, ships and equipment were revealed today by Jaguar Defense Co. we believe these additions to the Mokastana arsenal will help Mokastana be more efficient on the modern battlefield. Field Marshall Franco Martinez had this to say:

Cartels on the rise:

Bogotá: in the recently acquired regions in America Sur there are reports of powerful Cocaine empires reforged after the conquest. One is believed to be the Montana Cartel, operating control over nearly the entire southern portion of the empire. we can only wait and see how this flood of cocaine will effect domestic and foreign policy to come.

It appears as if a war has broken out between the two governments of Tribenkias. Mokastana has taken interest due to the similarities of it to our three week civil war 6 months ago. A Mokastana naval team and paratroopers have been dispatched. It is unclear weather they are liberating or conquesting.

Capitalism in trouble in Mokastana, but is that a bad thing


Today Field Marshall Franco Martinez announced that he will reinstate the parliament and reinstate political freedoms. This has a major factor in Mokastana. First it means that the families in hiding, such as the Villas, will be back to be part of Mokastana's society. Unfortunately for others such as the Billards, who were executed as traitors last week, will not be able to see this turn of events. The reforming of parliament will only be allowed the following parties: Military Defense Action Party, conservative party, Liberal party, and get this the socialist party. when asked about what is going on Field Marshall Franco Martinez said this:


"I am a general, my expertise is on the battlefield. After applying what i learned on the battlefield to domestic issues I realized that economics is not my specialty. therefore, unlike the old socialist government, I will ask for assistance by those who know how to manage what I cannot. Mokastana will prosper even with them in parliament.The idea is for debate and argument, however the primary goal will still be defense and offense.Other then Economics and a few domestic issues, parliament will have no other power and i still can veto anything they come up with. The Empire Grows, and stuff

Half of Mejico has been assumed into the Empire while the Sur regions have had a few minor boarder infractions by unnamed foreign powers. These have been dealt with by the Mokastana Air Force. Meanwhile the Greal Army pulled out of Mejico and their exit was covered by our navy. When asked about the reason why Admiral Alex Franshaw said, "we would want them to help us leave a hostile zone, so we should do the same"

Riot in St. Alvido quelled

After the Parliament elections occurred with over 70% of parliament ruled by The Military Defense Action Party Rioters took to the street in downtown St. Alvido. The riot lasted for a few hours before riot control and military forces managed to splinter the main riot into manageable pieces. as of this report they were quelling the last of the Riot.

Rogue Generals wage war in Mexico

Mexico City: Generalissimos from the former Mexican Empire are waging war against imperial forces. Two days ago one such Generalissimo attacked a military air base and claimed 35 imperial lives and captured over $50,000,000 of equipment. The Mokastana Air Force responded by bombing suspected rogue general hideouts.

Riots in St. Alvido continue, Army Uses Leathal Force


For over a week now riots have claimed hundreds in the St. Alvido area. After rioters captured a military store house military force was authorized. the Air force dropped a 500lb. bomb on to the supply depot. Even after the destruction of the supplies rioters still controlled a few tanks and Iron heart APCs. Many rioters are claiming that St. Alvido was Mokastana's birth to democracy and they will defend that to the death.

Mokastana Nuclear Program under way

At a classified location, the Mokastana Military detonated a small tactical Nuclear device for "testing purposes." The Uranium came from one of the many Uranium mines around the home island. Military commanders called the test a sucess and expect to be using nuclear power for domestic and civilain use within the next year.

Last night 3 Imperial division under the command of Generalissimo Durkin arrived to assist our old war ally against an insurrection. Field Marshall Franco Martinez stated the reasoning was: "if you cant help a friend in need then what good are you?" Currently many delegates are in New Lenningrad, the believe capital of Zitharia discussing the prospects of peace in the region. If not then the 92nd Air Force will be deployed to offer air cover for our boys in the area. We pray that a peaceful resolution can be found. More on this story as it unfolds

War Games

the Mokastana navy along with 3 imperial divisions are participating in War games in the Nation of Faxanavia. The exercise is believe to last for as long as it will take for some one to win. Currently it is unclear as to who is winning but there does appear to be alot of fighting in the city of Johnandyoko. Not to mention the shear amount of naval combat going on. We will keep and eye on this and report the effectiveness of the Mokastana war machine.

Restful Zintharia

Tonight civilians in Zintharia can sleep well knowing that peace has been achieved and that a coalition of multiple nations will be peace keepers until stability can return to the region. these peace keepers include three Imperial Divisions to be stationed there for an undisclosed amount of time.

FULL BLOWN REBELLION IN ST. ALVIDO!!!

What started as riots ealier this week became a rebellion after the rioters began using squad based tactics and military equipment against riot control and Military personal. Police Chief Juan Marcello said this in a public statement: "Do you have any idea what the streets look like there, its a war zone, and beleive me, I've been in enough to know. I lost 13 officers when an IFV pulled around the corner and sprayed my Officers with lead. This isn't a riot, this is war.
The Mokastana Army has dispatched the 25th Iron heart Division to help quell the insurection.

Central PD in St. Alvido is Governments Last Hope at Saving City

The downtown police station was a large building, but by no means the biggest in downtown, a presentable 45 stories in all with 3 helipads on top. Marble floors and a crisp clean lobby clearly shined even as the officers walked around. On any other day this station would be bustling with officers and personnel doing their daily duties, but today was different. This week was different. The past 11 days had left St. Alvido a burning mess. What had started out as a democracy protest had quickly turned into a riot, the riot had caused major damage in the first two days until the military was called in. After that the Rioters captured military supplies and began to fight back. Soon over a million residence of St. Alvido were fighting against government forces, and now the last police station under government control was being siege by rebels. It is now day 3 into the siege. Military Mi-24 Hinds are constantly dropping off men and carrying out wounded or civilians. For miles around the ring of fire around the police station can be seen. It is only a matter of time before something else goes horribly wrong.


Parliament Bombed!!!

Earlier this morning anarchist claimed responsibility for the bombing of the parliament building. The bomb was believed to be brought in via mailroom. In which all official documents were destroyed along with a corner of the building. Thirteen people were injured by debris and one mail room worker was killed. Upon investigation it was learned that the bomb had actually failed as was originally designed to be powerful enough to wipe out half the Parliament building. The anarchists claim that the current parliament is a puppet for High Chancellor Franco Martinez, who in response declared a national curfew and martial law in major cities. Anyone caught after the curfew will be arrested no questions asked.

Socialist parliament members arrested for conspiracy

this just in, all socialist parliament seats, a total of 43 of the 500 in all were arrested and taken to detention centers on the island of Hati, the conspiracy was believed to a socialist team of congressmen actually aided the anarchist to deliver the bomb mentioned above. weahter or not they intended to die with the rest of parliment is another story altogether.

The nation of Microkovljerakistan has declared itself to be a socialist state after what appears to be massive protest against the current "capitalist" government.
Given the limited responses to the government many people are calling it a "waste of time" and "nothing to worry about." we are including the actual message for our audience to appreciate:

Our grand nation, free from repression under the capitalist fist is in a time of political strife. Protesters are everywhere. The only way our benevolent leader, our Big Brother can see forward is to smash all who stand in our way. We may see fit to make our own region........ Greal Airport looking for Airlines

Sasha International Airport is looking to expand to allow more aircraft in and out of the country. Already numerous terminals have been purchased. Yes the government of Greal is selling off terminals to be bought by foreign Airlines for commuting in and out of Greal. With over 25 this may take a while to fill, but if the Greal economy is anything like they say, it may be worth it to purchase a few terminals. the current prices are as follows.

Just minutes ago a Nuclear device was detonated in St. Alvido,military Intelligence says they do not know how the rebels got a nuclear device but are releived it was not detonated in somewhere else. as one commander put it:

"sure the nuclear detonation in St. Alvido is bad, but imagine if it was in the capital, or an unaffected major city. The majority of St. Alvido is either evacuated or in rebellion. So while the detonation of a Tactile Nuclear Device is bad. It does make our job easier."

The Bloody Sunday Peace Talks

Earlier this week Kurona offered to host peace talks in the Bloody Sunday war. Many Many delegates from the waring parties are expected to be there. "Attack on Capitol, High Chancellor missing!!"

In a Surprising turn of events an unidentified assassin attacked the Military HQ Complex last night and killed approximatively 8 security personnel and 3 Officers. The High Chancellor was believed to be in the area of the attack and it is not known if the High Chancellor was the target or not. However given the current situation of the nation it is possible the Rebel factions hired an assassin from outside the nation to attack him.

This just in, the High Chancellor is doing fine, he was attacked but the assassin was killed, it is unknown who hired him..

I am Nicolas Villa, the old Foreign Minister of Mokastana and a socialist Commander. I stand before you today to in revolution, but in the rise of freedom. Mokastana has never had a stable government, and as long as we let our ideologies rule us we never will. I grew up in this nation, watching as fathers mothers sisters and brothers would die. Right and left wing both would commit the same actorcricies and call the other evil, and their actions justified. War is hell, and we have brought it upon ourselves. We got lucky that no one took us over, but no one had to, we were already committing the genocide of our own race.

Innocents were being caught in the cross fire as we would fight to prove our way was best. Overall all we did was bring our nation to its knees....

Scientist debate over size of the World!

From information obtained here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=537758) Sceintist are unsure about the size of the world and the relations of international relations and effect. Scientist from around the world are there discussing everything from the size of the crust to how many moons we really have. For example, how is possible for two nations to have a full scale nuclear war and not have any effects in neighboring regions? A small group calling themselves the "realism Nazis" appear to be trying to prove the "earth" concept. While others consider it a waste of time.....Perhaps we will never know. (OOC: this article is a spoof, a parody, a load of crap, so dont sue me)

Microkovljerakistan war gone loco

A small nation knows as Microkovljerakistan, good luck pronouncing that, had declared war on Cynapsia a while ago. While the reasons of the war are unclear, we do know this, it appears that they are a terrorist nation who doesn't know what they are doing. We recommend any nations not currently involved in the conflict not bother, as it appears that their is already a dog pile, and WMDs appear to be in everyone possession. In all reality their is nothing to gain.

San Dante lays plans to create great transit system in capitol.

The small and relatively new nation of San Dante announced plans to build a transit system in the capital, San Diego. Their president had this to say:


“We have realized the problems in the capitol. Our great city should not suffer from such congestion, not to mention the amount of pollution that will be eliminated. We strive for San Diego to be an amazing place, a shining gem in our country for the entire world to see. The exact plans for the civil engineering part of the public transit system within the week.”

The New Mokastana government pledges support and assistance to the new nation in hopes of bringing them up to the international table as a worthy nation.

After the assassination of the High Chancellor by an Unnamed and unidentified Assassin and Protest around the main Island the current Military Junta has surrendered and stepped down. Nicolas Villa, the man who overtook MNN three days ago has requested that leaders from every region in Mokastana join him in a discussion in Mokastana City to decide the fate of the New Mokastana Empire. We will be their to report the outcomes for the new Mokastanan Government.

SPECIAL REPORT: MONSOON SEASON

Numerous nations are experiencing bad and dangerous weather. The most notable is the storm in Kemonomimi. MNN is keeping a close eye on further developments, as communication with the MNS Liberty has failed. However a major hurricane hit the small island community of AHSCA a few days ago. While the nation has no modern communication planes and other support from Mokastana have shown pictures of horrible destruction. Villages have been wiped off the map and the residence are trying to rebuild their lives. Overall we do not know the casualties but we do know that the two islands hit hardest were Corona and Animalpoils.

Even though all this destruction occurred we have been assured that the islanders will survive, as their leader says, the people can handle situations like this. The islanders are highly capable of taking care of themselves so no international Aid will be required.

Hell breaks out in Greal

after an air incedent where a pilot by the name of Jack Freeman shot down a Greal transport violating Mokastana Air Space riots broke out in Greal, the embassies were the targets of a violent ten hour battle that took over 100,000 lives, many Mokastana tourist and Mokan decendences in Greal were also killed. while we have not heard from the President of Greal Nicolas Villa the temporary Head of States of Mokastana had this to say:

"We apologize for any consequences of the actions that took place last week, the man who shot down the plane is in custody and pending a court martail will be dealt with accordingly. as for Greal we are willing to help them rebuild the chaos that occurred in their capital earlier today..that is all for now"


The Akimonad Annexation of the Far Echo Islands


Last week the Autocratic Federated Empire of Akimonad delcared the annexation of the Far Echo Islands, assuming them into the empire. Unlike some of the worst annexations this one does seem to give some power to the peole that have been annexed, for example, the ability to "petition Akimonad for an amendment to these terms." AHSCA Leader Welcomes her First Child

In a change of mood, Duchess Shino Nanao and Duke George Villa of AHSCA welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world. Young Marcella was born at approxamenty 1 AM weighing in at 4 1/2 lbs. Many nations offered gift such as silver rattles, cigars and a Daimond bladed cavalry saber. Mokastana Industries has dispatched a group of contractors to build a sturdy nursery on the main island for the child and to protect against storm damages. MNN would like to congratulate George and Shino on their joyous daughter. As you may know Nicolas is the Uncle of George Villa and they are very close.

After nearly a week of debates the Mokastana Confederate Republic was born. While the details of how this government will work are still sketchy we have a vague idea of the plans for the country. For the time being the five main regions of Mokastana will be separate republics and have a central federal government that maintains defense and basic needs of the populations

Civil war in Zaheran!

The nation of Zahaeran is in a state of civil war, as the republic is beleived to have lost control of most of the nation. Many nations such as Droskianishk, Alfegos, and Colstream have offered numerous military equipment and aide to the weakening government. Who's small and untrained army of 6 million are in need of aide and equipment. Numerous factions verying for power in the nation include:

The Northern Military Alliance, NMA, a large army force led by General Dieter Antonn and General Lucifer Teufel. Wants to crush the democracy and take the power. Commands about 3 million soldiers and controls large parts of the northern country.

The Workers Liberation Army, WLA, a guerilla group which wants to overthrow the liberal government and replace it with a communist dictatorship.

The Army of the Holy Cross, AHC, a Christian terrorist group.

and two criminal organizations known as The Brotherhood and the Cartel.

Fighting continues in Greal over the Incident

One incident over a month ago where a Mokan fighter shot down a Greal transport violating Mokan airspace has caused riots and chaos in Greal that have left over 200,000 casualties. The 4th Mokastana Engineering Corp was dispatched to assist in the rebuilding but has also come under fire by rebel factions in the nation. Here in Mokastana protest have broken out demanding the full withdrawal of Greal, and letting them handle the situation themselves.

The Autocratic Federated Empire declared war on the Free Dominion of Vetaka. Nuclear weapons were launched via satellites unto the Free Dominion of Vetaka as the opening move. The Presidential palace, the Palace of Freedom and the Foreign Office of Vetaka were the first targets. The retaliation included 5 Thor Weapons Platforms and numerous strategic bombers and Peacekeeper II ICBMs. The nation of Wagdog has promised to assist Vetaka by all nuclear means.


Lesbian Couple Files Lawsuit to Regain Custody of their Child

Montana Defense wins the Defense Contract

Sur Region-After much painstaking debate between accepting the Jaguar Defense contract or the Montana Defense Contract the Sur Parliament finally decided on going with the "Home Grown Defense" instead of Mokastana's traditional Defense Corp. Normally many regions get bids from different Corperations and usually at least two service each region. For example, the Island Region is serviced by Mokastana Defense and the Jaguar Defense Corp. While Mokastana Defense is government owned and operated it operates in all regions, Jaguar defense is the first privatized Defense Corp. and is noted for the MJD3- Main Battle tank, as well as the Standard JagD .45 pistol used by ALL Mokan branches of the Military.


Montana Incorporated makes another landslide victory

In an unexpected turn of event Montana Inc had claimed the rights to the Mokan Base being constructed in the war torn nation of Zaheran. While this is Montana Inc. first major operation representatives from the business are optimistic. Calizorinstan recieves new head of state

Commandant of the Calizorinstanian Marine Corps/Chief of Staff retires to be both President and Archbishop of San Diego in the Anglican Church of Calizorinstan:

John Arnold, formerly head of the Calizorinstanian Marine Corps and General of the Armies, was elected to President yesterday in an astounding 85% of the votes, followed by former Colonel in the Air Force, James Avery Greengrass, who is his vice president.

John was until this week, just another bishop in the Anglican Church of Calizorinstan, but he was appointed Archbishop of San Diego yesterday, by his predecessor, John Duke.

John Arnold served in the military for 34 years before becoming the General of the Armies. He has 25,000 flight hours in over 45 types of aircraft, having rumored to have flown out of Area 52, a top secret project that had several former MIGs for him to test fly.

He replaced his father as President of the United Prussian Republic of Calizorinstan, also gaining a ceremonial title of Kaiser Johanne the 2nd.

Not one, not two but three baby girls were born to Tomoyo and Charles at 12:35 A.M. local time in healthy condition. This is the first time in Kuronan history that tripplets have been born to one ruling monarch
so naturally it has caused some confusion. However,
Robert, Himeko and Tomiko have all been deemed the heirs to the throne and will all have powers of the ruler regardless.

High Government in New Brittonia murdered, terrorism suspected

As for today's top story we go to New Brittonia, where numerous top officals were killed earlier this week. Including the Prime Minister David Flower of the Communist Party, Foriegn Minister Sarah Lynch, and Deputy Prime Minister Kevin Lynch. While Defence Minister Michael Johnson was placed into critical condition after being shot by and unknown assailent. Two of the Three deaths are confirmed as murder while the allergic reaction that Foreign Minister Sarah lynch suffered could be accidental. However given the circumstances it is being treated as a murder.

The Adriannic desert, up until now a battleground between the official Church of Adrian and the radical Paladins off-shoot, has been invaded by Kleomenes, and many Disciples of Adrian have become Paladins in light of this. Meanwhile, to the west, Oblivion2, Zillian, and Hurfdurfistan have each offered aid to the Alliance between True Cantr and the Republic of Cantr, as they attempt to depose Daemon, the ruler of Imperial Cantr, and create a unified Cantrian state. There is no news yet on what is planned to become of the Alliance after the defeat of Imperial Cantr. Meanwhile in the south, Drakonat, the Island's biggest nation by far at 100,000,000 inhabitants, has invaded Samson's Federation, which is not only the smallest nation at only 5,000,000 inhabitants, but also suffering from a recent hit-and-run invasion from Francopolis Prime, which was foiled by the timely intervention of Hurfdurfistan. United States of America declares war on Cobra Moon(PMT)

According to the USA Cobra Moon launched a surprise missile attack against numerous civilian targets in the United States. Which resulted in the congress of the United States declaring war on Cobra moon. This could create future incidents and perhaps great stories in the future. 10th Age of Automagfreek

The Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek may have new leadership. After a glorious ceremony in the capital the Supreme Warlord Damien stepped down from the throne and gave the empire to his son Azrael. Azrael has promised to "do everything humanly possible to preserve and maintain the Empire". We here at MNN wish him luck and many prosperous years.

MAIN HEADLINE: FIELD MARSHALL ANTHONY DURKIN CAPTURED!!

Field Marshall Anthony Durkin was found in Alfegos where local authorities captured and released the traitor to our custody. As many locals and Mokastana Island residents know, during the fascismo civil war this man had lead fascist forces on a conquest of the island. He murdered socailist, conservatives, christens and other opposing factions. While his rule was only a few weeks he managed to leave a bloody stain on Mokastana that also lead us to be an international player. Had it not been for many nations like Angaor, Ok-La-Ho-Ma, Champsverts Ciel, and others we would not be the nation we are today. Thanks to their assistance we managed to defeat Durkin and lead our nation to a glorious unification. While many of the leaders of the great war are longer with us, those who fought with the MPA or the Livertad army know what damage this man caused, and for it we will view his exicution live on international broadcast to the world to show we do not take kindly to men of his kind. Fascism is defeated in Mokastana and it will be proven as Durkin is executed by method of public populatiry. Meaning Mokans around the nation will vote on ideas of how to torture and kill him. Virus Outbreak in Toopoxican!

A airborne viral disease has had an outbreak in Toopoxican which has infected hundreds and claimed at least 10 lives. This disease is rapidly mutating and in just a few short days has mutated from a waterborne to airborne. This strained TCV-09 is the most fatal is believed to be just the first step into much more dangerous versions. Currently there is one person who survived the virus and Alfegos officials are running test to see how he survived. The currently fatality rate is around 97% depending on strain, given what minor information we have received. Currently the virus has spread to the The Beatus, and Alfegos. Many nations have cut off all travel to these nations in a hope of minimizing the infection. We will keep you posted on how the virus moves on.
