So Far on this game i've lived the High-life declaring war and becoming Head of my Region. but then, i just thought, what makes a nation? and i tjought, a national anthem that melts the hearts of people who listen to it, a flower that represents your nation and all of it's history. And that's why i made this thread, where we find out who has a true nation...

What makes a nation a nation, well, for Rejistania it always was the language (rejistanian), the culture, the history and most important: the H1SR (the national soccer league).

My national identity is kicking the shit out of Communists.

How do animals, lemons, fruits, and all that nonsense make a national identity? A national identity is forged out of hundreds of years of a common culture, language, and society; it is forged through hardships endured together as a nation, victories and defeats, good times and bad times, religion, music, tradition. Not through some flower or animal.

In that case, my national identity is burning things.
"Burn it" is pretty much their response to anything. Hardship? Burn it. Bad times? Burn it. Invaders? Burn 'em.

A bulleted list just can't say enough about a nation's identity. Even the US, which is the one of the newbies to achieving country status, cannot be constrained to such a breakdown. There's just too much to tell.

What is the national heritage of MY nation? Shit there is a lot. I rp my nation as a merger between Chechnya and Turkey in an alternate future.

Here in [NS] The Republic of Chechnya...

We hold the legacy of the old Ottoman Empire and the Chechen civilization which has lasted well over 5,000 years. The Crusades traveled through Anatolia the Mongols appeared at one point in history two.

The financial heart of Chechnya, Istanbul is a huge, beautiful city older than most nations. Formerly Constantinople, it was once the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire and the Ottoman Empire. Before the official founding of Chechnya, Istanbul suffered a massive earthquake which leveled much of the new infrastructure of the city. After its annexation into the Republic, Istanbul underwent massive building code reforms and an inane level of investment which led to it being not only the most modern (yet paradoxically still the most historic) but also the most beautiful city in the nation. A good analogy would be the importance of New York City for rl America. In the Levent financial district of the city awe inspiring office buildings stun tourists and entice businesses with their stunning architecture and in Eminonu you can find the Hagia Sofia, Yere Batansaray, and Sultan Ahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque) which bear testament to the city's unique history.

The capital of the nation is the city of Grozny. At first a Russian fort, Groznyj Grad, it became the capital of the small Chechen republic (rl) over time. The city has been bombed to oblivion three times in each of the three Russian campaigns. Rebuilt after the [NS] Republic won its independence, Grozny rivals Istanbul as a hub of culture and architecture and learning. The magnificence of its federal government buildings, some built in Greek-inspired architecture is enhanced by the many large mosques in the city which are built in equal artistic care.

The cultural heritage of Chechnya extends back as far as civilization itself. The nation is a haven of freedom and liberty while at the same time a mainly Islamic society. Freedom and liberty are two pillars of Chechen government which are fiercely guarded, and one would understand as to why given many years of brutal oppression.

The most popular national sports are wrestling (free-style) and futbol (soccer). The people are avid sports fans. The national animal is the Wolf, a symbol of independence and individuality for a long time. Although Chechnya is a secular nation it has a 98% Islamic population. About 1% of the population is Orthodox Christian, another .3% Catholic, and the remaining .7% a toss up between other Christians, Jews, Other faiths, and declared atheists.

Official languages are Chechen and Turkish and both languages are spoken as often as the other. While practically everyone is bilingual (at least - Russian and Arabic are the next largest languages) if you can speak on or the other you'll be fine in the nation.
