The Council was gathering in the conference room in the left wing of the grand Imperial palace.One by one or in pairs the Khans arrived,each with a secretary and an advisor from their respective departments.
They sat down around the round table(not a pun,seriously) and talked with men who would have killed them with their bare hands for the slightest advantage or favour.
They instantly noticed that one was missing.Lucifer Teufel,the Khan of Defence and a man they all feared,was not there.
They were all worried about this circumstance.When a Khan was not on a meeting it usually meant that he was either dead or plotting against them.And no one of the men in the room wanted Lucifer as an enemy.

A fanfare pulled them all out of their private thoughts.The guards at the doors saluted as the emperor walked into the room.Behind him followed the Khan of Defence and his chief of staff,Weldric Storm.The men at the table rised,at the same time exchanging worried glances.A private audience before an council meeting?It had only happened seven times in Zaheran`s 400 year history,and every time had a Khan got his head chopped off.The emperor sat down on the throne at the far end of the table while the Khan of Defence sat down beside his old friend,the Khan of Foreign Affairs,Marius Stee.Not that friendship did matter much in this room.

The emperor opened the meeting.His voice sounded cold and harsh behind the golden mask that covered his face.
"Thank you for coming to this meeting.You have been summoned here today to discuss a proposition of critical matter to Zaheran`s future.I will let your colleague,The Khan of Defence,present it to you."
The Khan rised from his chair and walked to the far end of the room.
"Thank you,your Majesty".He waved to his chief of staff,who punched a button.A big screen came down,showing a big map of the empire."We have prepared a plan to deal with the fact that we are surrounded by more or less hostile nations,which would not be a problem was it not for the fact that they all have larger armies than we do.To put it briefly,we need more manpower.As we don`t have it in our own nation,we have to find it in another.And it is not far away.To our south lies Taekshan(RL-China) a once great country which now have fallen into anarchy and chaos.They have no real army,and their government is a joke.If we want to we can take it within ten days of commencing the operation.
Our salvation lies within reach,the question is: Will we take it?"
The Khan of Defence sat down in his seat.
The emperor raised.
"The council will now carry out a vote.Should we occupy Taekshan?
What does Defence say?"
"Yes."
"Foreign Affairs?"
"Yes."
"Propaganda?"
"Yes."
"Interior Affairs?"
"Yes."
"Commerce?"
"Yes."
"Social Welfare?"
"No."
"Security?"
"Yes."
"Then the decision is made.With a majority of six votes over one,the council has decided to go to war.The Khan of Defence will brief us in on the plans for this campaign."
Lucifer rised once again and walked to the screen.
"The plan is simple.First we send in specially trained sabotage groups,which will attack army headquarters,government buildings and communication centra.We reckon that this will cast the country into even more chaos and confusion,which will make it easier for us when our major force cross the borders.The border guards will be taken care off quietly,hopefully they will not notice us until it is to late.According to our calculations,all organized restistance will be gone by day 4.The operations will begin in one week."

One week later at the taekshanian border

The night was cold.The border guard shivered as he walked along the yard on the way to his guard station.Why did he have do this,he wondered.Nothing ever happended on the border.And now it rained too.Life was just too great.
He stopped and sneezed.Was he getting a cold too?No surprise really,after standing in this damned rain four hours every day.
He did not notice the man sneaking up behind him,nor did he hear the silent sound of a knife beeing drawn.But he felt the knife slide into his spinal core,and he felt the pain when his body hit the ground.
Well,he thought before he glided into darkness,something did actually happen.What a great comfort...

Sergeant Joachim Eichmann wiped off the knife on the dead mans clothes.It was a good knife,and blood could corrode the metal.He waved to the other men hiding in the shadows,ten all in all.They were all wearing black clothes and gas masks.The guards had been dealed with quietly,and the men in the main house was not suspecting anything.Two men blocked the doors while the others prepared the gas grenades.The sergeant lowered his hand.Eight gredandes crushed the windows and quickly filled the house with deadly nerve gas.The men inside didn`t have a chance.The doors were blocked and the gas did it`s terrible job fast.Within ten minutes,they were all dead.

The same thing happened all across the border.As a consequence,nobody got any warning of the zaheranian forces crossing into the land.

OOC: What do you want me to do? I could send aircraft and ships to distract them.

We find your opinions about Taekshun to be quite good. We wish to form a coalition to destroy Taekshun and throw away their corrupt government.

Coded Diplomatic Message to Zaheran-

Thank you. We will be sending the A-12 Sao Paolo, which is a Clemenceau-class aircraft carrier, as well as G-28 Mattoso Maia , a tank landing ship, our G-30 Ceará landing ship, and the G-31 Rio de Janeiro. Our 4 Inhauman-class Corvettes will also come. To Victory!


OOC: I'm leaving for vacation for 6 days tonight, so if we could get this done today, that would be nice.

The zaheranian forces did not meet much organized restistance.The taeshanian army HQ had been obliterated by an air strike,the government had been decimated by special forces and TV and radio stations were in zaheranian hands.Surprised villagers saw tanks and APC:s roll by,soon followed by soldiers in dark green uniforms and red berets.The imperial forces marshed unhindered right to the capital,which capitulated after three days of siege.People were not so surprising unwilling to take up arms against their new lords,maybe feeling that anything was better than the corrupt and incompetent former government.Even the most optimistic people in Zaheran could not believe that it hadn`t taken more than seven days,with just 130 zaheranian losses,to get to the Haan River(Yangtze R.).
With Vanek Drury Brieres approaching from the ocean their job was pretty much done...

Airplanes wooshed over the land of Taekshun, with Vanek'ian markings. "Everything's secure," said a pilot. "Copy that to base." The planes were also in Beijing. The government was surrendering.

OOC: YOu know, this isn't the way to take over a country. Ususally, somebody else rps the country being taken over. Oh well. And, which half did I get?

OOC: You guys have no way of invading China, even a smaller portion of China. You guys don't have Nukes, which China does and will use to stop you. It also has a Nuclear Submarine, the Xia, which could probably rip anything you send it's way to shreds.

Actually I do know, because a person tried to invade China before you. Guess what, he got 4 of cities nuked. Millions died. So yes this China does have Nukes, and they do have ICBMs. Where as you don't. Not to mention that China's Military could probably just roll over you with Superior numbers, with tanks like the Type-95 and others just ripping through your far fewer but slightly superior tanks.
