Holdham, Variabilis- President Paul Atretis has been planning a trip to the Federation of Democratic Laborers in a move to create a well-founded basis for a greater functioning economy. With Variabilis' early stage of economic development, Atretis is moving to learn from those nations who have created a successful economic strategy for themselves. The visit will be the first in Paul Atretis' presidency; a move which he hopes will open communication and possible trade routes with the rest of the world. Vice-President Christine Bell notes that the possibilities are both exciting and dangerous for the people of Variabilis. "Although it is necessary for the people of Variabilis to create a rapport with the rest of the world, we must also understand that there are nations that would have us destroyed for their benefit. We must be sure our alliances are in the best interest of the Variabilian people" Bell stated Monday.

To help keep the President safe on his journey I offer you 100 troops to protect him.

Thank you very much for your offer of troops for my upcoming visit to the Federation of Democratic Laborers. I must decline the offer, however, as this is a diplomatic trip. The wrong precedent may be set by having troops from outside Variabilis join me.

I would like to plan a visit to Shiloba soon. I believe we may both benefit from a strategic partnership down the road.
