This is how it starts...

Kohinland Soldiers train under the blazing unforgiving sun at Ar Ramadi Republican Guard base in western
Kohinalnd, near the border with Iraq. Iraq now being the new "Israel" for the middle east has become an
enemy of Kohinland and the Military is on constant alert because of this. A soldier stops to take a break
from unloading ammunition from and supply truck, he removes his red berret and wipes the sweat from his
forhead. He suddenly hears a whistling sound, he knows this sound is incoming artillery. He screams "Incoming
Artillery!" right as he shouts a wooden barrack explodes into splinters behind him. Steel begins raining from
the sky, explosions are very where. With in minutes of the barrage the base is totally oblitared. Unkown to the
Kohinland Military command this is the first in a series of attack by Germantly to cripple Kohinland's military,
the war has begun...

1341 Hours, Yazd Military Command Bunker

After the news of this attack reached the Military high command Kohinland's entire military was put on high alert. All reserve troops where called in to duty, armored divisions where mobilized, Anti-Aircraft Batteries where put on full alert and ordered to shoot down any unidentified aircraft in Kohinland airspace without warning, and the entire air force was scrambled and order to fly patrol missions on the Kohinland borders. Not much was known about the attack other than it came from Iraq, the military viewed it as a preemptive strike not by Iraqi military forces but, rather a western nation planning on using Iraq as a staging point for the invasion of Kohinland. Generals went busy in the war room planning out counter attacks if the unknown enemy did strike from Iraq. Intelligence went to work to determine who had attack the base, but it was too late the War had already begun..........

Message To Germantly:

We are currently in the process of a major overhaul of our military, on top of this, hundreds of our soldiers were recently killed in Novajev and due to this, we may be going to war. Therefore at this time we cannot commit large amounts of military force to this operation. We would, however, with your permission, like to deploy a few Special Forces units to catch this Dictator.

After the President sent this message, he drafted a message to the Special Forces Command

General Rock, I will be sending satellite images of the nation The Kingdom of Kohinland. They have recently been attacked in an effort to bring down a ruthless dictator, known for the massacres of his people. I will be sending a package on the nation, it will be your job to draft a mission for the capture of the Dictator.

The General got the message and set to work. He had lots to do. Advisors and officers came in and out often, bringing maps, old mission objectives, Orders of Battle. After a few hours, he sent a message to Germantly.

Good Evening, I have been tasked with planning a mission to capture the Dictator of Kohinland. I need information on what he looks like, where he lives or can be found, types of guard, ect. Just follow my model.

The Sovereign Socialist Nation of Mokastana, while not being of Western decent (Imagine a Mexican, Cuban, Bolivian mix then add democracy) is willing to help any people in need of liberation. We would be willing to deploy troops but we do not believe our jungle trained forces will fair well in the desert. however we would like to open a base for desert training and begin training a desert division of 100,000 troops to be desert specialist.

For aide we can send you military supplies be it bullets, food, or methods of arming the general population.

Our Government really does not care about the country's decent, but rather that its people believe in freedom and democracy. As for training we have several bases in Iraq that you are welcome to us to train your forces in the art of desert combat. We thank you once more for coming to our assistance.

The rotors of the Blackhawk helicopters whirled, cutting through the air. It was just after midnight. 3 Blackhawk helicopters had just been refueled and would now be making the rest of the trip to The Kingdom of Kohinland without escort. The helicopters flew low over the sea, too low to be picked up on radar. They were so low that the soldiers could smell the salty air, drifting into the troop compartment. Soon a warning came over the speakers announcing that they were about to breach hostile airspace. The soldiers began checking their equipment and weapons one final time, soon they would be landing.

OOC: I'm unsure of exactly where The Kingdom of Kohinland is located. I'm also unsure of where my troops should land.

OOC: So dark blue is Kohinland?

The Blackhawk helicopters flew almost silently through the night. A cool wind blew through the troops compartment, it felt good against the soldiers faces. It was probably the last bit of comfort they would feel for awhile. The radioman checked his radio. He had been ordered to keep on the Orbathain channel, but if need be, he could contact Germantly to arrange for air support. The man in charge, a Captain James Walker, peered out of the troop compartment. The dusty ground was dizzying as it moved quickly by. A green light began flashing in the troops compartments of the helicopters. Each troop looked towards the doors. Ropes were thrown from both sides of the helicopters. The green flashing light went solid. The first soldier grabbed the rope and slid into inky blackness, hitting the hard desert ground in seconds. One by one, the soldiers hit the ground and took up defensive positions around the Landing Zone. They didn't expect to encounter anyone, enemy or civilian. Intelligence had picked them a location where nobody had been spotted for at least a week, likely longer. After the helicopters turned to head back home the soldiers moved out to secure an area for a hide. They didn't have to travel very far before they came upon their objective. It was an abandoned salt mine, unused for years. They soldiers entered, and cleared the tunnels. They wired certain branches of the tunnels with C-4 explosives. They also set up booby traps. Sentries were posted at the entrance and branches of the tunnel, however everyone knew the odds of anyone coming were almost non existent. For the time being, the officers held an O Group to decide what to do next. Three Special Forces soldiers changed into civilians, they would be heading into town to blend in.

1100 Hours, Takht Desert, Northwest Kohinland

The sun beats down on the dry sands of the Takht desert, dust from vehicles can be seen in the distance, It's a group of Republican Guardsmen heading to a small village they are assigned to defend in case of the imminent invasion. One T-72M1 leads the charge followed by a BMP-1, ZSU-23-4, and two M35A1s. One loaded with troops and the other with supplies. Private First Class Mohammed Jassim Ali sits atop the BMP-1 with the rest of his comrades riding in it, they all know that sitting inside an armored vehicle during the Kohinland summer is like sitting in an oven. Pvt. Ali looks at the troop truck, the canvas flaps are rolled up and the men inside are sweating intensely. On the T-72M1 in front of him the Gunner and Commander sit atop the turret to avoid the roasting turret, the driver sits out of his compartment driving the tank with his feet, although this is strictly forbidden everyone is too hot to care. With Sweat beading down his face, Pvt. Ali spots the village up ahead, this is a happy sight for perhaps he can find some shade. Little does he now that with in a few hours he and his comrades will be in a fight for their lives.....

Sunrise had come, a little light shone into the entrance to the mine, farther back, lanterns lit up areas were the soldiers were. They were ordered to get out of bed. Each soldier had the chance to get up, get dressed, wash and dine on a breakfast IMP. After eating, three soldiers left, dressed in plain civilian clothes. The carried an issued pistol and a radio each.

'' Why did we get stuck with the shitty job,'' one soldier remarked while smiling.

'' Edwards, we always get stuck with the shitty job,'' a second soldier answered back. The third soldier just laughed.

They had been walking through the desert for almost an hour. The very hot desert heat beamed down on them. Despite the fact that they had left early in the morning, the sun was still very hot and it was continuing to get warmer. The soldiers were heading to a nearby village. There they would find some sort of transportation to take to the city so they could begin hunting down the Dictator. They hoped they could make friends in the village. Someone who could give them hints as to where they may be.

Deep underground, military brass discussed options for a tactical strike. The Generals felt that if they could weaken the air defenses of Kohinland, they would have no problem sending wave after wave of helicopter into Kohinland, without fear of too many being shot down. They had already sent a message asking for permission to set up a FOB, for now they would strike.

Secret Airbase - Orbathain City

The pilots had been briefed and were ready to go. It was not a deep strike mission, just enough to test the air defenses and weaken the area near the border to Germantly. This would allow both Germantly and Orbathain aircraft to fly in the area without fear.

A Wing ( 12 OF-16Bs Priests) took off from the airfield. They had been loaded out with a wide variety of weapons. They had been tasked to penetrate hostile airspace, disable or destroy SAM and RADAR sites in the area and destroy any artillery, airfields or soldiers spotted in the area. 6 of the aircraft were outfitted in a ATG role and 6 were outfitted in an ATA role. It wouldn't be a long flight but the aircraft would require mid flight refueling which would be done by KC-130 aircraft.

3 Hours Later

The aircraft had since broken up into Flights. Each aircraft was paired with another. The beauty of their weapons was that to fire the first set, they wouldn't even have to enter hostile airspace.

'' Hotel Quebec, this is Foxtrot One, requesting permission to begin bombing campaign, over''

'' Foxtrot One, go ahead, I say again, Operation First Light is a go, out.''

The pilot of Foxtrot One radioed the good news to the pilots and the fireworks began. Each aircraft in the ATG role let loose 4 ATG-136 TACTIT RAINBOWS, a munition actually designed to seek and destroy enemy sites using RADAR. this was done just before punching into hostile enemy airspace. This meant that the aircraft could clear an that would extend just under 50 miles, depending on the amount of RADAR. The aircraft continued into hostile airspace....

The 42nd Mokastana division, was baking under the sun....Iraq was not what they were used to, but they were there to get used to it. Fortaleza del Fuego or Fort of Fire was where they trained and prepared in case of their presence being needed in the war.

Soon the 44th would join them...Mokastana wanted to have a base here permanently for desert training, but that was up to the politicos...which at the current time could be anyone

Yes, of course we will allow you to set up a FOB in our nation.

OOC: I can ask Kohinland to set something up like that if you wish.

OOC: well Kohinland's air defense network is the largest threat, but the best bet is Kohinland communication's network, with out that they cannot communicate effectively and we can attack without the other parts of the military knowing so they would be able to supply support.

OOC: I'm going to post a glorified bump, a continuation of my above post, just to keep this alive.

The rainbows had been dropped. The Orbathian pilots hoped that the missiles had done their jobs. If they had done what they were supposed to, they will have knocked out a small square of air defense along the border, where the FOB will be built.

The aircraft cruised through the air. Their next targets were radio towers located in the area. Without these, they could slow down or even halt radio communication in the area. Using satellite images, intelligence officers had plotted the grid reference of various towers in the area. These references were uploaded into the guidance systems of 6 JDAM bombs, one for each of the aircraft in the bomber roles. Hopefully after taking down the towers, they would destroy communications in that area.

FOB

The dusty air blew around as the first C-130 rolled to a halt. The C-130 was slowly being replaced by a VTOL type aircraft but it was still in use by various units. A few hundred feet to the east, another C-130 rolled through the dusty terrain. The rear hatches on the aircraft opened and dozens of soldiers came out of each. Following the soldiers were a couple of bulldozers and supplies on the back of 5 ton trucks. As soon as the soldiers and equipment were out of the way, the C-130s took off to allow more, circling above to land. This would continue for a few hours as supplies for the base would be offloaded. As this was happening, engineers began constructing buildings and defenses.
