Backround
The IKT-5 Warsong was an effort by the Granatian Government and Hellsing Land Systems to ween the country off foreign vehicles and designs and turn the military into something more domestic. For far too long, the Granatian Military relied on foreign equipment to arm and power it's Military, but lately the Granatian Government has spent a large amount of money developing it's own weaponry, in conjunction with Hellsing of course. First came the GA-18 Sniper Rifle/Anti-Materiel Rifle, then the AH-32 and it's successor the AH-35. Slowly, but surely, the Granatian Military was becoming homegrown.
The Warsong was designed to replace the SOV.17 IFV which was designed by the ever popular Kriegzimmer Export Company. Although the IKT-5 might now be as all-around excellent as the SOV.17, it will allow Granate to produce it's own Armored Vehicles. This also allows Granate and Hellsing Land Systems to cohesively to manufacture upgrades for the IKT-5, which over time should overtake the SOV.17. Possible upgrades have been announced, and they included an Urban Combat Package that will greatly increase the IKT-5s versatility in the urban enviroment.
Armament
The IKT-5's main armament is a 30mm Auto-Cannon designed and manufactured by Hellsing Land Systems' sister company Hellsing Aerospace for their AH-35 Warbird Attack Helicopter. The cannon has been modified so that it will sit easier in the cradle. Other modifications include a lengthened barrel of 2.2 meters, to increase accuracy at longer ranges, and faster firing rate then it's predecessor.
The main gun's effective range is 2,350 meters which a full 350 meters farther then the infamous M242 Bushmaster. This allows the IKT-5 to knock out enemy Trucks, Humvees, and light fortications at a longer range. The gun's max range, although can be circumvented with some fancy shooting, is 7,100m. The main gun's rate of fire is at 175 rounds a minute maximum. Any more then that and you risk the barrel overheat and rounds exploding in the barrel.
The secondary gun, a .50 Machine Gun, is placed in a special track that goes around the whole of the Commander's hatch. This allows the gun to be turned in almost any direction to lay down some .50 fire on the enemy. The gun itself has no defining qualties that seperate it from other .50 Guns.
Armor
The armor on the IKT-5 is one Hellsing Land Systems is very proud of. They have reported that it can 30mm API round anywhere on the vehicle and can take a 30mm APFSDS round straight on in the front. This is considered perfect protection against 30mm rounds, which are common place on IFVs and APCs in the world these days.
The turret armor suite is a 18mm thick composite blend of Titanium Diboride and Alumina encased in steel with a small rubber lining between the Composite and the steel. The armor also has a 22mm thick Titanium back plate, which helps to increase the armors effectiveness, if at the cost of price. The armor is appliqué, which means that it they are effectively plates that are welded on the original titanium/steel hull of the vehicle. This process is easier and more cost-effective then designing the vehicle like one would a MBT.
A similiar armor suite is located on the Glacis of the IKT-5. It has a similiar composite blend of Titanium Diboride and Alumina encased in steel with a rubber lining. It's only difference is the thickness of the composite blend. It is only 8mm thick with a 12mm Titanium Back plate. It is also appliqué like the turret armor.
The sides and the rear of the IKT-5 are a bit simplier then the frontal armor. The armor suites in these areas is simply a 14mm base armor of Aluminium with about 16mm of Titanium covering it. The armor on the sides is designed so that the appliqué plates use on the front of the IKT-5 can be added to the sides of the tank should the need arise. The rear of the IKT-5 is basically a similiar set-up as on the sides, but only slightly smaller. There is a 12mm base armor of Aluminium and a 13mm Titanium Plate on top of it.
Another way of increasing the armor was used by Hellsing. It called for a slope of 80 degrees on the Glacis. This not only helped protect the tank, but it also made it possible to use less armor on the glacis. This had a slight drawback that space inside the IKT-5 was lossed, but Hellsing and Granatian Government thought that the trade-off was a fair one.

The IKT-5AGS was designed as a dedicated Amored Gun System much in the same vein as the M8 Bradford for the US Military. Although military doctrines today call for Mobile Gun Systems instead of Amored Gun Systems, the Granatian Military feels that the commonality between the chassis will reduce maintainence for the entire IKF-5 Family.
The Osiris, as it is known, trades out the entire turret of the Odin for a newer and larger turret that is able to handle the entire size of the 105mm Gun. The 105mm Gun is the main weapon on the Osiris, as it is designed to be used against heavier targets then the Odin is designed for. Due, to the usage of an Autoloader and the considerable bulk that the turret adds to the vehicle, dismounts are not allowed under almost any circumstances.
