Genocide in Hexon - The Extermination of a Race

Khartoum, Kroando - Human Order Headquarters

"And as we can clearly see...", the aged Medical Professor pointed to the detailed organic drawing of a humanoid creature, seemingly human with many variations, "Their lungs have mutated to digest and process the air they have been exposed to. They no longer cough due to the toxic gas they have inhaled for so long... however, they no longer can breathe our air without coughing in a similar manner. The Einstein-looking man paused, rubbing his beard. "Their livers... now here is an interesting bit. The food grown on the island has clearly radiated their digestive tracts, as this, a normal liver, looks nothing like one from Hexon. Two pictures popped up, showing clear differences in shape, size and color.

"However the most obvious changes are on the outside... the skin. Their skin has taken on a pale yellow complection, even though the sun is no stranger to their home. The glands which would cause them to tan have been mutated, and turn their skin this sickly yellow color. Furthermore you will find no hair on their bodies... none at all, as mutations in their cell dispersement systems cause them to dispose of dead cells through waste, leaving no fingernails, hair nor anything of the like. Although I have not found out exactly why their eye color has turned into a very light blue, I am pretty sure-...", the professor was cut off by Commissar Davis.

"Professor Valken... this is all very... educational... but I really only have one question for you. Are they human?", Davis, covered in the darkness of the room leaned into the light and proposed his question.

The professor stood still, fear, anticipation and anxiety overwhelming his body. And after what seemed an eternity, he responded. "No. No sir... they are not." Davis smiled, stood up, bowed and left the room, followed by Marshal Velspar and several other close advisors.

Background

The island of Hexon is located far out in the Pacific (basically, not near anyone else), and was colonized by Kroando roughly sixty years ago due to reports of uranium deposits. The colonists whom left Kroando for the island numbered roughly 34,000, and set up settlements with little trouble at first. However as they lived on the island, they noticed changes. Violent illness overtook all, killing roughly 4,000. Genetic mutations were caused by radioactive air being emitted from high-pressure geysers from deep within the earth's crust, and a semi-active volcano, Mt. Bensada. The air has caused considerable change in appearance and body structure of the original colonists, all of which are by now, dead.

However their decendents still reside here, and are further mutated. Though not deformed, they simply are distinct from the human race, and have grown distant from Kroando, now dominated by the Human Order. With a population of some 320,000, they are now being condemned as non-humans.

The Occupation - And Detention

The Inquisition's 3rd Expeditionary Force has been dispatched to the Island of Hexon, with a total of 25,000 Legionnaires in their ranks. Equipped with chemical and biological gear to protect them from the elements, they landed on the island two days ago, riding onto the beaches in Amphibious Assault Vehicles, occupying settlements and cities as they moved north. Paratroopers were dropped off in major areas to prevent civilian escape. Thousands upon thousands of civilians are currently being detained and taken to makeshift internment camps for 'ecological safety reasons'. The people are being told that there may be surges in radiation levels, and that for their own protection, they must enter the camps.

Over 200 Kraken II MBT's, 200 ID-57 Decimators, 300 G-24 Strikers and thousands of vehicles and other such equipment have been landed on the island (about the size of rhode island) in addition to the 25,000 combat personel.

"We interupt your regularly scheduled broadcast to bring you an update on the Hexonian Insurrection in the Pacific, in which dozens of Terran Civilians have been viciously murdered by the mutated inhabitants of the island. According to TAF Sources, the mutations to the cerebral cortex of the Hexonians is so great that their brains no longer work in the normal pattern, but are distorted beyond belief. The Inquisitional 3rd Expeditionary Force has been deployed to evacuate Terran Civilians and to rehabilitate the Hexonians on the island... we now bring you back to you regularly scheduled program, 'Everybody Loves Raymond'."

OOC: What is the terrain like? Is there jungle or heavily mountainous areas where an insurgency could hide? The map needs to give some idea of how and where base camps and supplies could be dropped. If it is jungle, heavily forested or swamp tanks would be useless in certain areas.

[My mistake... I colored it brown, which in my head meant 'rock', but didn't write it. Hexon is largely barren rocky-dirt with various toxic steam vents and geysers over the region. There is a massive volcano in the east, and the entire coast is steep cliff, except for the one area marked as traversable beach. This is a bad place to conduct and insurgency, but there are hundreds now hiding out in the rocky plains evading the occupiers.]

Camps Completed

After merely two weeks on the island, the Inquisitional 3rd Expeditionary Force has reported 98.5% of the population detained and accounted for, leaving roughly 4,800 Hexonians missing. Intelligence suspects several hundred are out of the country, however this means there must be nearly 4,000 hiding on the island. Scouting parties are being dispatched the island over, as recon planes with IR seeking are scouring the island.

However inside the camps is a much less pleasant situation. Gas chambers have been completed and rigged with massive sarin gas dispensers. Each camp contained two gas chambers, each of which can hold 50 people at a time. With one 'group' being gassed every two hours, 1,200 die in each camp per day. After the first day of work, 6,000 lay dead. Their bodies are promptly taken and thrown onto massive burn piles away from the camps, however the smoke from their corpses can be seen miles round. The rest of the camp are told they were evacuated to the mainland, and as the gas chambers are located roughly a mile from the main camps, not much has circulated to counter the official story.

The skulls and bones of the unfortunate victims are being sold en masse to the popular gothic internet site, 'Black Misery', whom in turn is selling them on the open market. As ten dollars a skull, the government seeks to make over three million in profit... helping to pay for all of the sarin being used on the island.

Two Mokastana Spy planes flew over the camps...unsure of what is going on The republic of Mokastana had to see for itself

Meanwhile in Mokastana City Nicolas Villa sat at his desk getting more and more reports...

"so it appears that these people played with Uranium, it messed them up and now they want to exterminate them....damn why do people have to be so stupid?"

"Well sir war is war, isnt it stupid no matter the reason..

"true, but i feel we should help out these people..im not commiting troops though, we have enough on our plates....Aide, send a message to the infected population, we may not be able to fight for there freedom, but perhaps we can help them fight for there's......Captain, prepare 50,000 A-07s to be ready for flight out of the country"

"yessir"

Aide: dont you need presidentail approval for that.."

[Quick question. How did you contact the rebels? There are 4,000 of them hiding out near the volcano in caves and in rocky hills, but all they would have is a few radios. They would appreciate the help, but contacting them would be the difficult part. Oh... and what is an A-07?]

[The gun is perfectly acceptable... I was just curious. As to the plane, it probably would have encountered my fleet along the way... but I want to make this interesting, so lets assume you made it through.]

Hexon - 3rd Expeditionary Force

"What in the hell?! What is that?", shouted Lieutenant Garnen as he entered the command tent, pointing at the massive blip on the radar screen. "Uh... looks like... a plane sir.", responded the technician, attempting to identify the object. "Whats it doing? What the hell is it doing here?! Check the flight schedules... is there supposed to be a god damn plane there?", the officer shouted through his head piece, sending the other men in the tent into a frantic scramble to cross reference the plane with Kroandan patrols.

"No sir! It's not one of ours... it's actually a Tu-95.", reported one of the various NCO's in the tent. The Lieutenant stood dumbfounded. "Inform General Harnos... and put me into communication with that damned bomber!", shouted the officer. "Reposition the G-24's to the north and south... if they try to make a break for it and flee... shoot em' down."

"Attention any natives, please respond over....please respond, this is international humane assistance we have food water and supplies, i repeat..."

The Command Center Radio'd the bomber back. "This is Front Command of the Inquisitional 3rd Expeditionary Force. You are violating Terran Airspace. Identify yourselves and land now at the following coordinates or face being shot down. We repeat, identify yourselves and land at the following coordinates...", coordinates were given for an airstrip near an abandoned city, under occupation of the military. G-24 Strikers on the ground had assumed a lock-on of the bomber due to it's large size and their overlapping RADAR lock... one false move and it was all over.

Shortly after the Command Center radiod the bomber, another transmission came in. "This is the Hexonian Resistance! We are in dire need of help! We request assistance!", a Hexonian Military officer pleaded through his radio. The Hexonian Camp was to the north east... the runway to the west...

OOC: i was probably going to hit em anyways...the plane is cirlcing about 30-50 miles off the island anyway but that works

"Shit why does eveyone half to see us at once!"

"I hope Diplomatic immunity still stands...."

"not with all the damn guns there pointing at us...dont they realize this plane couldnt bomb them if we tried..."

.....We repeat, identify yourselves and land at the following coordinates...",

"this is Mokastana Humane Flight 1749, we have no weapons on board, i repeat no weapons on board. we will comply however we need those coordinates again over."

while the pilot kept the military talking the co-pilot went to the back to the more advance radio equipment.
"Hexonian Resistance, we offer assistance, Give us coordinates to send back to Mokastana, however we are landing at a military airbase.. we do not know if you can help us escape, but we need those coordinates"

while talking the co-pilot took out the two JagD .45 ACP pistols and loaded them, handing one to the pilot, in case anything went wrong.

Pssssssssssssssshhhhhtttt.... "17'N 2312... 223E...", was the last transmission relayed by the Hexonian Resistance on the ground.

(I'll assume you landed smoothely.) As the Tu-95 slowed to a halt on the dusty runway, humvees swarmed the area, .50 calibre machine guns pointed at the landed aircraft. "Come out with your hands up! This is the Inquisitional 3rd Expeditionary Force, come out with your hands up, throw all weapons onto the ground and come out!" When the pilots did as they were instructed, men would rush to them, apply gas masks and flexi cuff them, dragging them into a humvee nearby. If they resisted, they would be shot with tranquilizers, which several men were armed with. If the plane attempted to take off, an ID-57 Decimator sat with both guns directed right at the plane.

"man these guys dont kid do they? did you get the coordinates back to HQ?"

"yeah, lets get the masks on just in, just in case uranium dust is in the air"

they hit the destroy equipment button and opened the plane doors, with there hands up and the pistols on their hips....while the machines melted under the heat of thermite.

The moment the two men were outside of the plane tranquilizer darts flew, thudding into them. The tranqs were of such strength that both would be out for hours. As they were fired Legionaires rushed forward, masking the men and dragging them into humvees stationed nearby. More men rushed inside the plane, searching it for weapons, photograph equipment and various other machinery.

When the two men woke up, they were both isolated, each in a dimmly lit holding cell in a subsurface prison, tied and bound to a chair. Their weapons gone, their gas masks off, they awoke to the site of Inquisitional Interogators looking them straight in the eyes. (Lets just RP the interogation of one) "Hello. My name is Colonel Ribitz of the Inquisitional 3rd Expeditionary Force, you are in a sterilized subsurface holding cell. Now... I am going to ask you a series of questions, you are connected to a lie detector test. I would appreciate it very much if you answered truthfully."

Ribitz stood up and turned on the polygraph, "Who are you... who sent you... and what are you doing here?"
Mokastana
24-08-2007, 04:11
the pilot looked up unaffected by the dim outlook

"you do know that lie detectors are ineffective right? there only right i think 60% of the time....so i may spike when I'm truthful..."

inside he thought (not again, hopefully their not as inhuman as those MAUCs were)

I'm Captain Miguel Cervantes of the Mokastana's People's Air Force, I was sent as a recon for my superiors so they could figure out if and when relief would be needed for these people"

Ribitz smiled, "As have I." Ribitz put the gun down and looked to the two guards still standing at the entrance. "Captain, have the plane ransacked for anything useful, then have it dumped into the ocean. Radio the Mokastana Government, tell them their plane was inadvertantly shot down as it flew over a military base... there were no survivors." Ribitz then opened a small suitcase, withdrawing several sharp scapal like knives. He then paced around the room, eyeing up the Captain. Ribitz then stopped behind Cervantes, brought the knife up to the mans face, and dug it into his left eye, careful not to go to deep, just deep enough to take his vision. He then proceeded to the right eye, very slowly, so that the man would see the knife entering his pupil. He then moved down, to the lips, and toar each one off, tearing them off as slowly as was humanly possible. However all of this was done after his nose was skinned of it's flesh, and gasoline poured over his face. "Where next Captain? Face or genitals?"

After our listening stations picked the last distress call from an unknown aircraft.

The Admiral Koenig, commander of the 6th Kriegsmarine Task Force, receives a dispatch detailing the delicate situation.

"From the Imperial Ministry of War "

Admiral Koenig, the situation at Hexon seems quite delicate and seems to be getting worse by the minute.
You are commisioned to mobilize your fleet with caution towards the hot zone and gather information about the situation if possible try to locate the origin of the distress call.

Be cautious and discreet as we know that other nations aircraft are near or in the area.

Avoid direct engagment if possible. "

"Hmmmm " Admiral Koenig thinks about the situation.

"Captain Lutjens prepare 2 Reconnaissance aircraft for immediate take off
I want 2 Su-M30 as soon as possible " Admiral Koenig ordered. " Also get me AirMarshall Torres I want to know if his surveillance planes are still near the area after yesterday excercise "

"Yes Sir I will order 2 of our best pilots to take off asap " Captain Lutjens answered.

20 Minutes later 2 Su-30 take off roaring from the KGS Draconis aircraft carrier towards Hexon.....

Hexon - Subsurface Facility

Ribitz looked to the lie detector... indeed the Captain was telling the truth. The Colonel smiled and walked over to the machine. "Captain Cervantes... it appears you are telling the truth.", Ribitz then turned the machine off. "But I really don't care." And with that Ribitz picked up a small vial of liquid labeled, sulfuric acid and walked back over to the pilot, dripping the acid onto the mans hands. This would be followed by the man being burnt alive, and thrown in with the wreckage of the plane. Captain Cervantes was no more.

Hexon - Surface Actions

The genocide continued, with 6,000 dying each day. At the end of the week, 42,000 were smoldering around the island. Of the original population of 320,000, this was a considerable amount.

Transmission to the Darkstalker Su-30's Approaching Hexon - Approximatly 85 Miles Away from the island... Pssssshhhhtttt.... "Unidentified Aircraft 1032 and 1904, identify yourselves. You are violating Terran Airspace, and must turn back or risk being shot down. We repeat, you are violating Terran Airspace, identify yourselves and promptly turn back." On the ground G-24 strikers were positioning their SDCI Anti-Aircraft Missile Systems to knock the bogies out of the air. If they did not turn back, and came within 25 miles of the island, they would be greeted by a volley of six missiles, guided by LADAR-RADAR-IR Sensors.

Transmission to the Akimonad U-2 flying over Hexon... "Unidentified Aircraft, you are violating Terran Airspace. We demand that you land immidiately at the following coordinates and identify yourselves, or you will be shot down. I repeat, unidentified aircraft, you are violating Terran Airspace. Indentify yourselves and land at the following coordinates." Hexon was literally covered in mobile RADAR-LADAR stations, so any aircraft at all, even a spy plane, was going to be seen in very little time. The U-2 managed to make it over the island, but to escape now was an immpossibility. The U-2 was locked onto by three separate G-24 Strikers, each equipped with ten SDCI Anti-Aircraft Missiles. Continuing to fly and not land would mean being shot down... fleeing would mean the same thing.

Transmission to the F-22 from Vanek Drury Brieres - Over the Island... ""Unidentified Aircraft, you are violating Terran Airspace. We demand that you land immidiately at the following coordinates and identify yourselves, or you will be shot down. I repeat, unidentified aircraft, you are violating Terran Airspace. Indentify yourselves and land at the following coordinates." The F-22, due to it's stealth features had managed to make it over the island... however there was simply too much RADAR on the island, and it was eventually picked up... and locked onto.

Kroando Mobilizes the 2nd Fleet

With increasing International Attention on Hexon, the 2nd Fleet has departed for the island. Twenty two destroyers, five Negotiator Class Cruisers and two aircraft carriers have been dispatched.

"Brigadegeneral Torres, Kapitän-zur-See Lutjens from the KGS Draconis is on the line" Hauptmman Swann was a little nervous as he handed the phone to his supperior,"What could this mean" he thought. It was a direct call from the Aide of Gross Admiral Koenig the commander of the 6th Fleet. This maybe important

"Brigadegeneral Torres here, whats the matter ? " Brigadegeneral Torres answered
Few minutes later he orderd Hauptamman Swann to get him the Imperial Minister of War.

He wanted to confirm what Koenig had requested.

The two Orion Surveillance planes were still in the area but were at their base in Fanelia.

It will take at least 2 hours for them to arrive close enough to Hexon and the Fleet and still quite far to avoid any unnecesary risk.

After a few minutes Brigadegeneral Torres ordered that all base personnel will be in high alert, and keep close contact with the 6th Fleet and the Ministry of War.

The 2 Surveillance planes will take off meanwhile 4 typhoons will be ready to assist them.

OCC: The fleet is in international waters but less than 70 miles near your territorial waters. But according to the last post it could be closer like 10 to 8 miles near Krondan waters.
The fleet:
1 Aircraft carrier
2 Battleships
2 Aegis Cruiser
2 Destroyers
2 Light Cruisers
2 Support Vessels
1 Hospital Ship
The fleet was returning home after supporting joint exercises with the Airforce and is located at the northeast of your island.

Cripistan was a not know internationally to get mixed into foreign affairs. President Ordonez had just heard of a genocide in on the island of Hexon. He had an idea. If he send forces, he could make an ally, and possibly get a source of uranium. " Lisa, send these documents over to General Shay." He handed over some information on Hexon, and the documents of information currently going on in Hexon.

Genral Shay was sitting at his desk when he heard a knock at his door. "It's open" he said. "For you sir" replied Lisa. He opened it up. " Interesting" he said aloud. He picked up his phone. He dialed the number of his Lt., a man they called Reeves. " Lt. Reeves, come pick up some documents, ASAP." he put down the phone.

25 minutes later

Reeves walked in. He took a seat. The General looked up. He handed the folder over to Reeves. " Look at these. then contact the top military official in Kroando. Tell him we'd like to send some supplies to his forces, and also send our own force. Notify him of our intentions to help."

Reeves left with no words spoken. Immediatly contacting officials on Kroando.

Executive Communication With Cripistan

Dearest Friends,

We are most grateful for your offer in helping to quell the Hexonian Rebellion, however must be hesitant at your offer to aid us. We have encountered some mild international resistance, and even spying ordeals over Hexon, and must, for obvious reasons, be weary of foriegn nations seeking to deploy soldiers to our island. While we would like to accept your gesture of goodwill, we must first discuss with you your intentions.

While we have no doubt your primary goal is to help us purge the mutants from the island, we must suspect that you seek some sort of economic, military and political payment. We would like to invite you to the Imperial Union of Terra, through which we would be able to aid your nation in ways you can only imagine.

Nine Days Into the Cleansing - Hexon

54,000 Hexonians lay smoldering on massive burn piles around the island, as ever more were cattled in to the gas chambers, where they too would meet their doom. The civilians have been getting restless, however after the last incident in which several men and women attempted to escape the camp, no further disturbances have been reported. Nine men and women ran for the fence, cut through and began running into the distance. They were all reportedly mowed down by a machine gun tower.

The rebels, hiding in and around the volcano to the east are now under intense attack, as Kroandan Forces call in airstrikes daily on their positions. Lately sarin-gas laden bombs are being used, as the 3rd Expeditionary becomes tired with their hit-and-run tactics, as there have reportedly been over 30 ambushes, resulting in 45 deaths and over 100 wounded. Gas strikes are covering the mountainside, and high command suspects over 1,000 enemy dead.

Indentify yourselves and land at the following coordinates." The F-22, due to it's stealth features had managed to make it over the island... however there was simply too much RADAR on the island, and it was eventually picked up... and locked onto.

"Thank you, landing at coordinates currently."

The Raptor smoothly bumped down on an open runway. The Captain got out, took a sip of maroon liquid he had, and waited for his reception.

Hexon - Ardon Runway

The city of Ardon was one covered in dust and soot, all from the constant erruptions of the volcano to the East. The dust and soot itself contained toxic elements, which if inhaled, may cause death. The entire city was covered in it, and as soon as the F-22 came to a halt, it was too. Humvees, five in total had surrounded the aircraft and unloaded soldiers around it. Five Legionnaires moved towards the Captain and immidiately applied a gas mask to his face. The men then searched him for guns, flexicuffed him and brought him into the nearest humvee.

A short while later he arrived in a surface command post, sterilized and oxidized, so the men inside did not need gas masks. He was escorted to a private office and given a seat. The label on the desk read "General Horn", the commander of the entire operation. "So I hear you were taking pictures of my island. It doesn't make for a great post card, so I assume you were on recon. Please, I ask you for no bullshit, work with me and I swear you will go home.", the General paused, pouring himself some scotch before he continued. "Lets start with the basics. We want to send the commission within the next few days to establish a camp or base. We can rent the land from your government to build some humanitarian facilities.

Also we can assemble the 6th Fleet with yours, just in case you know.
We can try to do something for this people if this situation gets worse and Hexon seems to be capable of striking first.

[I]Pssssshhhttt... "NGO Aircraft you have permission to land at Artek Airfield... 09N' 32E'...", Psssshhhtttt

On the ground was fuel, and humvees waiting to take the reporters to the front... which was shrinking... day by day. The rations dropped off by the aircraft were picked up and brought to the main military base on the island.

As the airplanes were refueling, several people walked out. One of them, a man in a flight jacket with numerous patches on it said,
"Who is in charge of this base?"

Colonel Ribitz stepped out of a large black militart humvee, his black leather trench coat covered in the toxic dust of the land. His black gas mask reflected the lights of the humvees in the area, which had their high beams on full blast, even though it was the thick of day. They were necessary due to the near zero visibility caused by the sand storms. Ribitz approached the man and gave a slight bow. "My name is Colonel Ribitz. I am in charge here."

The Jaguar Elite commandos were no stranger to scaling walls, from a nation of 30% mountains and 60% jungle they were trained in this kind of insertion. however scaling in gas masks was another story entirely...from the first rock Lut. Rivera knew there was poisonous gases.

"cough cough....GAS MASKS...." he yelled to his men, Applying gas masks while trending water almost looks funny...But necessary at the same time.

About 3 hours later the team was finally up the cliffs....on the barren landscape.

Lut. Rivera pulled out a map, complete with photographs sent back by the bear a few days ago.
"we will avenge your deaths.... ok we are moving in here....first objective is to give this location to find the rebels, also we beleive a member of VDB is being held hostage on this island, if we get a GO we are to liberate him"

All the men remembered the debt they owned to VDB and hoped that this might help pay that off

The Triumvirate Council of the Revolutionary Government of the Glorious Republic of Leafanistan

We know exactly what is happening.

We have some new weapons that need testing, how about we send in a few of these things and let them have a crack at this volcano?

[END]

Six long range transports sat on a landing pad in Algeristan. Inside contained the new weapons, straight from General Resources Conglomerate's secret design facilities.

Meanwhile another transmission arrived to the Human Order.

Ministry of External Security

We know what is happening, and we wish to help. The one thing that will keep any and all people away would be nuclear detonation. That we can adequately fake. A large enough fuel air bomb from a submarine launched missile nearby combined with a fairly large flash would create the mushroom cloud and blinding flash necessary.

The nonnuclear shockwave could be explained by the sheer mass of the volcano shielding this 'sub kiloton device' and the radiation is already obvious.

We can have a Borei class submarine within range of the island to fake this 'detonation' and your subsequent escalation within a day. Needless to say we are keeping a few submarines near your waters, this is purely for defensive reasons, never know when we will need to launch ballistic missiles to annihilate an invading fleet.

OOC: I'm being too harsh. Regardless, the island is already highly radioactive, a fizzle device, like at North Korea wouldn't be producing that much radiation in the first place. Combined with the already inflated readings, it is arguable whether the addition of a single tiny subkiloton device, or something designed to simulate it, would even produce a significant effect and would go unnoticed on atmospheric radiation sensors.

OOC: No it is not, but it is acceptable that being a uranium mining colony, they have the ability to refine.

Besides most of the fallout products you are looking for isn't U-235 it is irradiated soil products after the bomb bursts. Which is exactly what will appear, the short term isotopes formed by neutron bombardment.

Fallout product that contains radioactive isotopes from the fission material is about 60g per kiloton of yield. Most of that stuff decays pretty quickly.

Now a poorly built fission device, lets say hastily made by rebels, will only 'fizzle' which is only a small amount will actually go critical. That means it will be highly contaminated, with U-238 which this island is covered in. That stuff will be suspended in the air after my bomb goes off.

The soil and atmospheric products of fallout, created by neutron capture, will also be suspended in the air, as they are already exposed and probably captured neutrons.

If anything this ruse won't last under close examination. But with Kroando securing the airspace, your planes will have to catch the tail end what is supposed to be a very small blast with limited fallout at extreme ranges. Testimony from soldiers on the ground will convince people.

[35th Ultra-Long Range Reconnaissance Group]

The Human Order had stood to long with it's corrupt ideals and rampant idiocy [and as internet speakers would say 'faggotry'] with no opposition, the time had come for the free nations of the world to make a stand, No Endorse, Velkya and The Silver Sky would start here and now.

Twenty-Four Type 1000 (http://doc-evilonavich.deviantart.com/art/Type-1000-28529770) 'Strategic Nuclear Ramjet Propelled Bombers' screamed towards the island at Mach 3.4 from 600km out.

Captain Morgan, commander of the 35th Ultra-Long Range Recon Group [a haphazard group made of Type 1000s fitted with recon equippment] watched on his GPS screen as the blips representing his planes edged ever closer to the island of Hexon.

"All planes, intiated data link with No Endorsian and Velkyan Assests. Initiate scan at the 250km mark, we're gonna go 68,000ft at 220km out, single file, alternate between recon and defensive planes, we'll make two orbits, fly over the center of the island and continue the orbits until ordered to break off. Engage only when shot at. "

Each of the twelve recon Type 1000s was equipped with high resolution long range [500km] Daylight/IR cameras, LADAR search and track, as well as a large AWACs grade AESA 3D search and track RADAR system. The twelve escorting Type 1000s were equipped with medium range AAMs in the defense bay, rear defense turret with short range AAMs and a single 'Red Dawn' 15 MW Anti-Missile Chemical Laser mounted in the bomb bay letting it simply zap missiles and blind pilots.

Psssshhhhhtttt... "You are entering Restricted Kroandan Military Airspace... turn back or risk being fired upon..." Long before the Skyians ever took off, LACI Missile Systems had been deployed along the northern coast, supported by SDCI Missile Systems, CIWS Guns and all other manner of defenses. Dug in and hidden, their IR signature would be near invisible due to the natural heat of the island, radar and ladar would also prove useless in a pre-emptive strike on these perimeter defenses, as they were dug in and hidden so as to appear as nothing other than dirt.

Very close to the edge of Hexon

A single Red Tidean built stealthed cruise missile burst out of the water. It went up the mountain, its ramjet creating an odd shriek that echoed off the side of the mountain like a banshee. It sounded like a rocket, and the men on the ground looked up, and then a bright flash, and silence.

The flash was to cover up the dispersal of the fuel air mixture and its subsequent ignition.

A massive roar filled the air, a heat wave washed over the mountain, its massive pressure and heat crushed men down to the ground and set them aflame. A landslide was triggered as the burnt ground gave way, sending a massive plume of volcanic dust, which provided the perfect backdrop to the crowning achievement.

A singular mushroom cloud arose from the mountainside, its roar easily apparent over the artillery. Its plume filled with vaporized radioactive sand, joining the plume formed by the landslide.

Then it started, a black rain, clouds seeded by the radioactive ash thrown into the air began to pelt people, the superheated particles would burn bare flesh, and singe clothing.

A satellite watching the ordeal recorded everything, and defense professionals at command realized that everything was working perfectly.

Their RADAR couldn't find the cruise missile against the mountainside, its stealth and ground hugging measures would make it at most seem like a rocket fired from the other side of the mountain. The flash and the subsequent mushroom cloud were perfect. A good day's work.

Meanwhile the transport planes found themselves delayed. Ironically, a radioisotopic generator had come loose irradiating the planes and making it unsafe. Since it was Algeristan, it could take several days for other planes to arrive. The rebels had a reprieve.

Artek Air Base

"To quell the Hexonian Insurrection which now threatens Kroandan control of the island.", Ribitz said in a very matter-of-fact tone.

Ambush Zone

As the four rockets slammed into the sides of the ID-57 Decimators (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=1&st=0#entry398994), an uninformed onlooker would think the Kroandan's finished. However the armor of this tank made that of the M1A2 Abram look like plastic, and the two rockets to each of the two tanks did little more than blacken the armor and create a nice dent in the side. The flash bang did a nice job at blinding the .50 Cal gunner and the two men in the front seats, however as they grabbed their heads, their vision slowly returned. The claymore blasted the side of one of the four humvees, killing the gunner and wounding two of the four men inside.

However now the element of suprise had gone, and the battle had begun. The two ID-57's turned their dual-linked 30mm Gatling Guns towards the ambushers, whom they had targeted with their IR Vision, and opened up, spewing hundreds upon thousands of bullets into their positions. The humvees then began to pour out, twelve of the original sixteen exited, using their humvees as cover, and returned fire into the ambushers positions. Armed with C1 Assault Rifles, they outgunned their enemies, and alternated between firing frag grenades and standard munitions quite frequently. The two .50 Cal gunners sprayed the area much as the gatling guns did... expecting that nothing could live through the fire they were unleashing.

Hexon

There were nine military satellites watching Hexon at any point in the day, sometimes as many as sixteen. These satellites simply had one job... watch everything. So if two submarines fired to IRBM's, while sitting right off the cost of the island, these satellites would pick it up in a heartbeat. And literally a milisecond after they picked it up, they would cross reference it to their data log, and check to see if there should be a IRBM there. As there was not supposed to be one, they immidiately switched to defensive mechanisms, and proceeded to shoot down the missiles. One of the many military satellites in the sky fired... sixteen LACI Interceptor Missiles (Space Fire Varient) at the ascending IRBM's. The LACI's worked perfectly, knocking out the enemy ballistic missiles as they reached their peak, creating a rather large EMP wave... just in the upper atmosphere rather than on the island... [even if I only hit one, that ones EMP would knock out the others... so...]

However know there was the issue of who and what shot those missiles. A nearby naval patrol (eight miles off), picked up the IRBM's firing while they were still underwater, the massive SONAR signal created by such an operation being immpossible to miss. Four submarines, all now leaving the area very quickly. It could not have been easier for the patrol to find and lock onto the subs. The patrol consisted of two Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and a Negotiator Class Cruiser, all of which had locked the subs and relayed the coordinates to central command. Before even waiting for orders, each of the vessels fired three Mark 46 torpedos at the submarines, nine in total at the four subs. Seconds later sub-detecting satellites were scanning the area, watching the subs.

That and the defensive positions are dug in an covered, significantly lowering their IR Signature. But if that doesn't work... we'll just say the ID-57s were like, 'Hey, those guys over there are shooting at us...' BTW, how many men do you have total?]

Hexon - Ambush Zone

The claymores worked beautifully, sending hundreds of steel balls at insane speeds into all directions, hitting the legs of ten of the sixteen men, sending them to the ground in pain. Though their wounds were not in most cases deadly, it would put them out of the fight. The claymores did little to the humvees, being anti-personel weapons, other than cause superficial damage to the exterior. The claymore under the ID-57 simply shot a bunch of little metal balls into a tank. Not being an Anti-Tank weapon, it really did not do much to the armor.

The fight ensued as the ID-57's and six or seven men continued to pour round into the rocks, lobbing grenades to dislodge them from their defensive positions. One of the working humvees sped off, moving to flank the enemy ambushers, trying to get behind them where their cover was useless, the .50 cal blasting all the way.

Pssssshhhhttttt... "Target in site... all units maintain your positions..."

A single Apache AH-64 Assault Helicopter flew into the area, and using the coordinates provided by the units on the ground, unleashed a volley of Hydra 70 30mm Rockets unto the area, about 25 fragmentation rockets in all, the area inhabited by the ambushers was now covered in explosions.

Our forces are unfortunately smaller than both yourselves and the facists, but I hope we may be of assistance.

To the VDB

The Imperial Ministry of War

We offer our support for this situation.
As you may know our 6th Hohe Seeflotte (High Seas Fleet ) under the command of Gross Admiral Koenig is near Hexon, still in international waters.

The Jagdverbande 44 Fighter Unit, 6th Fallschirm-Jäger-Division (Paratrooper), 24th Fallschirm-Jäger-Division Spezielle Kräfte (Special Forces ) and Seeaufklärungsgruppen 32th (Sea Reconnaissance Group ) had been mobilized to our base in Fanelia.

Also the 2th Hohe Seeflotte under Gross Admiral Viktor Madrigal orders is travelling towards the conflict zone.

We will be expecting your answer.

We hope we can coordinate an effective coordinated action.

Hexon - Ambush Area

Stinger Missiles are a very effective counter to low flying aircraft, helicopters in particular. However the typical casualty inflicted upon a helicopter by a stinger missile comes when the helicopter is not expecting an attack. The stinger crew is supposed to be lying in wait for an unsuspecting chopper, set up in a perfect position, with clear blue skies and a noisy big helicopter moving in at a perpendicular angle at just the right speed. In war, that is how stinger crews get their kills. Very rarely does a single man pick up a stinger missile launcher, point it into a sandstorm, and hope to hit an Apache coming in at attack speeds, with rockets coming at him.

The Apache AH-64's early warning system picked up the stinger immidiately, and began firing off flares to send the missile off course. As the missile came in however, it seemed as if a hit would occur, but a last minute manuver alowed the missile to clip the wing, damaging it but leaving it operable.

"Apache J-06 returning to base for refueling and repairs..."

Infantry then swarmed the area, looking for survivors... if they were found, they were shot, as it was expected these were Hexonian Mutants, not foriegn Special Ops.

"The Officials had no comment as they were escorted out of the Ministry of External Security's headquarters on 211 Memorial Avenue in the capital city of Concord."

"The Triumvirate Council has no news today about the firings, but major analysts believe it has to do with the Human Order's recently 'police actions' in on Hexon, a polluted island in the Pacific Ocean. The Leafanistani government has recently been in a war of words over the 'Holy Empire of Man' as one official who didn't want to be named called the Union of Terrans. OOC: I dispute this as your planes somehow magically came within range to detect a stealthed cruise missile in a ground hugging pattern. It was close enough to hide itself in the mountain's RADAR signature. RADAR has trouble distinguishing that close to the ground, and always has.

Thermal readings are also hidden by the fact that the volcano is already hot on its own.

The AEGIS system only has a range of about 100 nautical miles, around 185 kilometers, you are already stretching the range of your ability to see things clearly with RADAR or IR for that matter, and with all the radioactive haze around the island from the volcano, LIDAR/LADAR would be heavily scattered.

OOC: At this close range the plume of the rocket igniting after exiting the water would be detectable much like an ICBM plume would, radar would pick it up immediately, and you under estimate radar, it's usually GROUND based radar that has trouble with ground clutter, the YF-12 could track a target from it's max altitude at a height of about 500ft and hit it with a missile.

Considering the size and sheer power of radar you could fit onto a Type 1000 and using of a multi-static radar sets it's perfectly capable of detecting a missile.

A Mountain isn't gonna be as hot as a missile exhaust, especially with a ramjet engine.

OOC: I never launched an ICBM. I launched a stealthed cruise missile which would be firing its solid rocket booster for a short amount of time. It only needs that booster to get up to speed for its ramjet engine. Hardly an ICBM sized plume.

Besides, the missile is firing very close to the shoreline, it wouldn't be that clear what it is. At range the resolution from your RADAR would be poor. It could be a rocket from a boat, a submarine launched missile, or even a ground based missile.

Some how this man had lived through two tanks, a rocket strike from an Apache, three squads of Legionnaires and four humvees. The first sniper round knocked off a man, and the others covered the area in lead. Enough was enough. The precise coordinates of the mans position were relayed to the nearest artillery battery. A C-24 Big Gun, all 240mm of it, took aim... and dumped a 300lb high explosive shell right on his location.

Camp Darnesh

"SNIPER!", was the call as the first two sentries hit the ground, dead. The Legionnaires dove into the dirt, hiding. However before long, the civilians were storming the fences. Hundreds of them ran for the barbed wire, chain linked fences, pushing at them, hacking at them, tearing at them with whatever they had. The fences would not hold. The Legionnaires called out for them to stop, to go back to their barracks, but they were ignored. Freedom was at hand as the two Legionnaires guarding the North East gate lay dead. The fences were bending, about to fall, freedom was at hand!

And then came the sound. The deadly ringing of 30mm Gatling Guns unique to the ID-57 Decimator. The tank rolled around a line of empty barracks, and poured thousands upon thousands of rounds into the ground, cutting through them like butter. Blood covered the ground as the mob was massacred, cut down into nothing but a heap of flesh and blood. Their yells and screams were short lived, as all 340 were dead within thirty seconds. The tank then rolled forward, crushing the bodies of the dead under it's treads... the twin 30mm Gatling Guns turned, directed at the areas reported to be housing the snipers... and again came the ringing of the guns...

[I forgot to respond to your last point about firing at the treads. The ID-57 is equipped with side skirts, composite metal plates which cover the treads... so your RPG's would hit and damage the skirts, but the treads themselves would remain intact.]

The men did not charge, that would be foolish. They remained hidden behind the humvees, firing pot shots every few seconds. The full auto fire was for the most part, absorbed the the humvees. The ID-57's continued firing their 30mm Gatling Guns directly at this man. Four 30mm Gatling Guns, four .50 cal machine guns, and now a 240mm Artillery Piece... which took in new coordinates and fired again.

Camp Darnesh

The ID-57 adjusted it's guns and continued firing... now humvees were swarming the area, firing their .50 cals into the direction of the snipers. [If you send an airstrike, I'm going to encounter it before it ever reaches the island.]

Hexon - Cazelian Bailout Zone

Some how four of the C-130's had made it over the island before they were brought down by the SDCI Missile Systems... and now there were roughly 200 Cazelian Soldiers on Hexon. The moment the aircraft seemed as if they would survive, Kroandan Forces were repositioning themselves to encounter the threat of infantry on the island.

The area the Cazelians had landed in was quickly surrounded, as G-24 Strikers, Puma IFV's, ID-57 Decimators and humvees swarmed around. Over 1,600 Legionnaires were let out around the men, keeping a loose perimeter so as to stay out of the range of their small arms. However that did not mean they would stay quiet. The 45 odd G-24 Strikers fired roughly 90 AvK-2 SteelFire Missiles into troop concentrations (picked up by satellite imagery). They were accompanied by the ID-57 Decimators, twelve in all, which sprayed the area with 30mm Gatling Fire from a safe distance (1.5km's) away. But the infantry did the brunt of the work, deploying 120mm Mortars which rained down chaos on the unorganized defenders.

However all of this was simply procedure. The real fire would come from the C-24 Big Guns located over 30 miles away. An entire battery of them now had a target, twelve 240mm guns began dumping two shells a minute each on the location of the Cazelians, twenty four 300lb high explosive shells landing every minute on the 200 Cazelians...

The RPG's fired at the camp were fired from a long ways off (if not you'd be dead), and were thus further innacurate. Two rockets exploded on the ground, the third hit a civilian barracks and killed six Hexonian mutants.

Ribitz glanced at the paper... "Sir... do you really want me to give you my opinion on something written by...", Ribitz looked again, to confirm the source. "A random internet blogger?" Ribitz paused, "Fine... well, they don't look human... they don't eat edible food... they dont breathe air. Now I'm not a biologist, but from the looks of things... no, I dont believe they are human."

[Darkstalkers? We were about to fight.]

Hexon

The days drew on, with more and more Hexonians dying every day, the burn piles were enormous, their plumes of smoke going high, high into the air.

OCC: Sorry for the delay, got new job so I got quite busy.

As our fleet launched our attack over the island hoping to damage the formidable defenses.
As shells and missiles flew towards the island lightning the night.

On the deck of the KGS Draconis, the first wave of 10 Su-30 MKI were ready to take off towards Hexon unaware of the response of the Hexon armed forces.

Meanwhile on the deck of one of the Aegis cruiser one tech catched a glimpse of incoming signals.

" Sir we've got a signal, its travelling fast, we atre under attack "
"What ? are you sure?"
"Yes sir"
"The Hexon response was faster than we expected" "Get me Admiral Koenig soon"

Miles away from the first attack line, Koenig got the last message from the Aegis Cruiser, it was a short but quite effective message, the last they got from the ship.

Koenig ordered the deployment of decoys and more effective radar and signal jamming meanwhile and another group of of SU-30 were ordered to keep close surveillance over the ships and the attacking cruisers and battleship if there were some left.

The Hexon attack left
1 Aegis cruiser badly hull damaged but operational,
1 destroyer sunk
1 Battleship external damage.
1 Light Cruiser sunk
1 Battleship lightly damaged.

But still shelling the island with the still operational guns and batteries.

And the 4th Hohe Seegflotte was still 2 hours away....

OOC: That was going into god-mode a bit, stating where my source was from.

"Sir, that was a direct comminique which the government of the United Socialist Ssates of New Brittonia declassified and relased to the press several days ago."

Four plaines airdropped shipments of supplies to the Hexonese people.

[@Dark. I dont think I was clear enough in my post. I started firing while you were 200km's away from my island... you are not within range to shell me. I started firing missiles at you before you started shooting, well before you got anywhere close to within shelling range. So I'm not going to take losses untill you get within range. As of now, you are far, far out of range. My next post comes when you are 150km's out.]

Hexon

The coastal Anti-Shipping Missile Batteries buzzed with action, as men scurried around adjusting and preparing the A9/00 Valour Anti-Shipping Missiles for use. The Darkstalker fleet would be sunk long before it ever posed a threat to the Kroandans... and thus, the strike would begin.

Over fourty five Valour Missile Launchers had locked onto the approaching enemy ships, both the battleships and cruisers. As they came within 150km's... bam. The missiles were fired, 95 Anti-Shipping Missiles blasted off, firing right at the enemy ships...

[RADAR/Signal jammers are inneffective. The missiles use LADAR/RADAR/IR/SONAR Signatures, so if you mess with the RADAR, the others pick up.]

"I saw it on a website."

The Hexonian supplies, as always, were taken to the military and given to the troops.

OOC: Going into god mode again, you cannot take all of the supplies.

"Yes, we do have many websites. The Government always publishes pieces it releases in print and on the internet. Then the media reports on them, linking to the page, and then bloggers comment on their opinion of the papers."

[Now how exactly is me picking up the supplies and giving them to my troops a godmod? A godmod is doing something that is impossible, such as destroying your army with a rubber band, or refusing to take losses, or RP'ing your losses. A godmod is not me picking up supply crates, which you dropped, and distributing them to my soldiers... because that is perfectly possible. You dropped crates on the ground, expecting me to give them to the civilians, and instead I took the food and gave it to my men. Nope... not a godmod. It's a bastard move yes. A godmod, no.]

Ribitz, growing tired of the question shook his head. "Next question."

(If you want you can. Will it just be for us, or will other people be able to attempt to try to make it interesting?)

We look forward to seeing you.

Cripistan had just ended a meeting with an official in Webster. They joined the Imperial Union of Terra, and were now allied with Kroando. They had permission to enter Hexon. " Get the troops ready. We should be receiving supplies from Kro-Tech within the next few days."
