Okay Bredford you left out some important stuff like: is slavery legal? and what is your empire's religious breakdown? Also please make your military. Your standing army can be 1 to 2% of your total population. Your reserves can be between 1 and 5% (though the larger you make it the weaker your economy is). If you decide to make military service compuslory, it can be between 6 - 8% of your total pop. but this is a massive drain on your resources. Also, we're not doing garrisons or forts. Just standing armies and reserves.

Spanish Army:

The (regular) Royal Spanish army itself is consisting of only 150,000 men. 70,000 men serve in the Spanish navy and 80,000 in the Spanish land army, with more of 300,000 in reserve.

(1% regular and %2 in reserve)

this creates confusion to some nations, where the land army is much larger then the navy. however, the Spanish Royal army serves only in Spain itself and special duties in colonies (only used for wars and quelling rebellions), and the Spanish Royal navy serves worldwide.
most of the garrison duties in the colonies would fall to the colonials, who are mostly low-quality soldiers.

the Royal Guard (consists of 5,000 men) is the most trained force in the spanish military, and all the soldiers in the Guard are equiped with Revolvers.

Royal Spanish land army structure:

the Royal Spanish land army is made of 5 Cuerpo Reals (5 Royal Corps), each consisting of 15,000 men and divided to 4 infantry divisions and 1 cavalry division (each made of 3,000 men.).
every field officer in Cuerpo Real is armed with a Revolver.

the Royal Spanish Guard (Protector real del español) is elite force of 4,000 infantry and 1,000 cavalry and all made of veteran soldiers (all armed with Revolvers, and better rifles.)

Spanish infantry division is divided to 12 regiments (each is 250 men):

8 regimientos que luchan (Fighting regiments)

3 regimientos de la artillería (Artillery regiments)

1 regimiento del Dragoon (Dragoon regiment)

Spanish cavalry division is divided to 12 regiments (each is 250 men):

4 regimientos de Hussars (Hussars regiments)

3 regimientos de Cuirassiers (Cuirassiers regiments)

3 regimientos de Lancers (Lancers regiments)

2 regimientos de la artillería del caballo (Horse artillery regiments)

Spanish Navy:

G(Number) is the number of the ship guns.

Spanish 2nd Rates (80-90 guns):

Reina Donna Isabel II G86 Monarca Class
Rey Don Francisco de Asis G86 Monarca Class

Looks good except for one detail, battlefield medics were not common until after the American Civil War.
They'll be open for use AFTER we have a major war with a bit of mass slaughter on both sides. Then the Red Cross can appear ;)

There were medics in both wars but right now, I'd say wait until I make a redcross event.

They did exist, even prior to the Crimean War, but it was in a highly unnofficial capacity. The odd officers wife who had some medical knowledge and that sort of thing would organize camp followers and stuff.
Large scale field medical work didnt happen until the Civil War.

By the way, we changed the rules a bit: 200 is now a depression, 100 is bankrupcy, and 30 or less is the end (you lose).

Bredford, I just increased Morrocco's IP three points because I didn't think thirty was fair, especially in a slave trading province.
