Most Respected Nations of the World,
The Divine Emperor bids you greetings and wishes to extend an offer of mutual exchange of embassies between nations, especially with the great nations of the European continient, in which he has a great interest. He is particularly interested in an exchange of arms, technologies and other items which could prove useful in the vivification of the economy of the Empire of Greater Japan. As is well known, the Empire recently inherited a great sum of treasures from the former Chinese Empire, and we will pay well for any assistance.
While at present the Japanese Empire has no interest in strong political ties, we are willing to exchange mutual vows of non-aggression, friendship and trade.
At present we have space for embassies on several streets within walking distance of the Imperial Palace. These buildings have been constructed in the European style for the comfort of our guests and are pre-furnished, although of course you may redecorate as you wish.

Emperor Louis XXVI looked over the telegram he had recieved that morning.

"Send a telegram back to Japan." Louis ordered one man. "Tell them I would love to accept some of that embassy space they spoke of. I will dispatch several diginataries to Tokyo immediatley to claim this space. Make sure he knows that while I hope to encourage political and commerical unity, I have no interest in trading arms or arms technology. Also, give the emperor my regards for the recent attack in Bejing."

The Honourable Emperor Louis of France,
We are most thankful for your acceptance of our offer, the Foreign Minister will be pleased to meet your ambassador at the Tokyo docks, and escort you to the embassy, which we are sure you will find to your liking.
We also assure you that no such bombings will take place in Japan, as we thoroughly screen any and all arrivals for such materials as could be used to disrupt the harmonious life which we strive to achieve. Sadly this is impossible in most of China, however we have increased security in the major cities and such attacks will be very difficult in the future.
The Emperor also congratulates you on having such excellent intelligence sources in China, as it appears your report was sent prior to the official Imperial press release on these events.

Emperor Zenawa said,
"Send this telegram to the Japanese people.

The Ethiopian Empire condemns this terrorist attack and condemn any terrorist actions in Japan, China, Ethiopia, or otherwise. I personally have been saddened upon hearing news of this attack. We hope that this attack does not stain our diplomatic relations, as we wish to establish an embassy i your nation, and requests for you to do the same

Henri DuPont stepped out of his carriage. He could easily tell this was the correct address. A massive European style building stood before him, standing out from the rest of the Japanese, yet slightly Western, architecture and factories. Henri walked up to the great wooden doors of the building. Several guards approached him and shouted at him in a foriegn language. He had been taught some Japanese before his long voyage. Damn, where was his translator? He was supposed to meet him here.

"I from France. I from France!" He yelled back as they prodded him with bayonets. "Here about embassy. Here to meet rule. Ambassador." He said frantically, beginning to sweat. He should have taken more lessons prior to his departure. Where was the translator? He would have to start teaching him some Japanese after he got out of this mess. Their bayonets were starting to poke him harder.

The two Samurai looked at each other, then quickly stepped back, bowing deeply, one of them spoke in a thick Japanese accent, "Aporoshies Armbashadoru-dono, preazhe to enter za embaasy."
Inside the walls was a small Japanese garden, with a few western touches here and there. The embassy itself contained an odd mix of western utilitarianism combined with Japanese attention to detail, the building was mostly painted brick, but the windows, doors, and other details all had Japanese touches which would have made the building stand out like an elephant at a dog show. It also gleamed, like virtually every other building in this part of town, as if looking at it too hard on a bright day might make you go blind.
A few local staff members were visible, a gardener carefully trimming a tree on one of the small artificial hills in the garden, a maid doing some last-minute polishing. All of them bowed deeply as the ambassador passed.
Arriving at the embassy foyer, he was greeted by a European man, who was apparently in deep conversation with a slight Japanese man. A few guards were visible as well. On noticing the arrival of the Frenchman, both turned and bowed, the Japanese man notably less deeply than the European, who promptly stepped forward and offered his hand.
"Mhm, welcome to Japan, Mr. DuPont, I assume? The Minister apologizes most profusly for being late to the docks, but it seems there was some unschedualed roadwork on our path. Ah, mhm-mmh...welcome to your new embassy, at the least."

Adisu Massala walked off the carraiage. What he saw was simply amazing. Very few, if any at all, Ethiopians ever went to Japan. He was at awe with the factories, the temples, and all of the houses. He walked out and looked in awe, waiting for his escort to the embassy.

Henri shook hands with the European man.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, I look foward to working here. My translator should be here soon, we were seperated at the wharfes."

OOC: We don't have any immediate business do we? I forget. I wasn't sure if I was just coming so if we ever needed to talk, I'd be here or if it was because we had things we needed to discuss right now. Also, there's an event for you in the Events Thread ;).

The Ethiopian was greeted at the embassy in a similar manner, the staff assembled to greet him, and the Foreign Minister's deputy at their head. The deputy bowed to the ambassador before beggining, "I am Deputy Foreign Minister Kurosawa Shinji, it is an honour to meet you, Mr. Ambassador."

"There is no need. Mr. Hansen is here to translate for the staff." The Minister bowed again, very slightly, "I am Watanabe Kuro, I am pleased to meet you." He spoke with only a very slight accent, and even managed his L's fairly well, "I trust you will find this building suitable for your needs, correct?"

"Thank you, is there anything you require? Im afraid we have some business to attend, although of course if you wish we may resolve any issues you have."

The minister bowed, "We are greatful that you think so, and will take every effort to ensure that your stay is pleasurable. If we do not have any business, I believe I must retire to report your arrival to the Emperor."
