President Arnold climbed into his private Boeing 707-320B N72CN and got his stuff prepared. It had disturbed him that his son would so willingly run away. He was only to glad to follow the British Londinian suggestions. His 707 took off from San Diego and towards Kensignton Air Base.
He figured that he should ask them if they would help Calizorinstan with a more safer, better space program. He knew that would be beneficial to both.
OOC: I am going to be busy with other RP's BL, so I'll do as much as I can on this thread today. He'll be there in a couple of hours.

OOC: No problem. After this post, you can RP his landing whenever.
People's Air Force Base Weston Zoyland
Kensington, British Londinium
PAFB Weston Zoyland was comfortably nestled in the foothills of Mount Nyx, just outside Kensington. The sight of the First Wing's Joint Combat Aircraft soaring into skies against the backdrop of the middling peak could easily be described as picturesque, or even scenic, to some.
But on this unusually cold, stormy morning, no such activities would occur. All aircraft were grounded as preparations were made for the incoming Calizorinstani president. Mr Arnold would receive a quite impressive reception for a leader of such a comparatively small nation - a full company of elite Army soldiers, all clad in their finest dress uniforms, each rigidly and ceremoniously holding their assault rifles in their gloved hands. At the front of the company, though, was Minister of Foreign Affairs Cecilia Belladini, huddled under a black and red umbrella.
They simply awaited the landing of the President's aircraft.

President Arnold's 707 touched down on the runway of Weston Zoyland after a 5 hour flight and clearance from tower, it taxied to where Cecilia Belladini waited for him. The engines on the 707 shut off and President Arnold stepped out.

"Good to see you, Mr Arnold," the Foreign Minister said distraitly. "Consul Azzopardi has been expecting you. If you would kindly follow me." She gestured to a large, armoured limousine with two Londinian flags fluttering on their hood-mounted poles. "I trust you are feeling well."

President Arnold got in the limo, and said to Cecilia "I know absolutely what went wrong with the space program, we got bad timing on Col.Arnold's part, he deserved to be exiled. We believe that British Londinium could help us with a space program that was both safe and more advanced."

"You can tell that to Consul Azzopardi once we arrive at the Aedifices Parliamentarii," Cecilia said as she gazed at the majestic cityscape of Kensington. "It should only be a few more moments."

President Arnold had a tear down his cheek, thinking of his son he'd never see again and he said bitterly "I know that forcing my son to resign from his post, and dis-owning him will make him hate me. I bet you he already does, I won't be surprised if he murders me." He snapped back to reality and sighed and said "Kensignton is a beautiful city.."

"Quite, Mr Arnold," the Foreign Minister replied curtly. "Trillions of denarii have gone into this city throughout its two thousand year long history. It's only fitting for the capital of British Londinium."

President Arnold said "I think Consul Davidson had a less hostile attitude towards me then this new Consul."

Cecilia leaned back in her seat, allowing herself to stretch her legs. "It would not be wise to take such a viewpoint, Mr Arnold," she replied. "Consul Davidson would be equally inimical to Calizorinstan had he lived to see your nation's recklessness destroy a multibillion denarii space station and kill thousands of Londinians. You should consider yourself lucky that the Conservatives haven't gotten their way - they want your son executed by firing squad."

John said to Cecilia "What viewpoint should I take then, I want my son back, I want him pardoned, and you can tell the Conservative, why do that want my son killed?, I love him, and he is innocent, wouldn't they be said if their son was murdered? Tell me, what could I do to have my son back, and relations restored, Hetaera Bellidini.." He said this last smiling, and thought how nice she looked.

"Not Conservative. Conservatives, Mr Arnold. One hundred and seventy two senators are Conservatives, and even the new national president, Ms Ann St Croix, is a Conservative, Mr Arnold. Do you not attempt to superimpose your childish Calizorinstani notions on us when you refer to this country's children," Foreign Minister Belladini countered. "There would be little point in arguing with the Conservatives. Feel lucky that they are not in power."
The limousine slowed as it pulled into the drive of a large, impressive glass and steel complex, known to Londinians everywhere as the Aedifices Parliamentarii (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/35/Europaparlament.jpg/800px-Europaparlament.jpg), home to the country's Parliamentary institutions. Cecilia looked at the building closely, squinting at points, and could barely make out the rigid, imposing figure of Consul James Azzopardi standing in his office, looking down upon them through the glass wall behind his desk.
"Anything you wish to 'get out of your system' before the consul sees you?" the Foreign Minister asked as she escorted the President into the building.

John sighed and said "Just because you think Calizorinstani notions are foolish doesn't mean they are, I do not believe that the Consul's word is "Gospel" like some people like to believe. If the Conservatives get into power, god help them, I think they are heartless, evil..." He spat at this last and said "All I want to do is repair the damage between our nations, even if you say I am wrong, I will still hold true to my beliefs, you got to give me credit for that." He now looked stern, deciding to face the Consul as he equal and nothing more.

Cecilia raised a thin eyebrow both quizzically and amusedly. She checked the silver watch that lay on her wrist with a flourish.
"Ah, thirteen hundred hours precisely," she said with a smile as she opened the door to the Consular Office. "You may enter." Azzopardi's office was both modern and classical at the same time; despite the desks with sweeping stainless steel and glass and arrays of sophisticated computers and communications devices, a series of wooden bookshelves adorned with volumes of history texts adorned the walls, and, on the wall directly opposite Azzopardi was a magnificent mural featuring a young, red-haired woman proudly waving a flag as she led various Londinians into battle.
The tall, black chair behind the desk swiveled, revealing a youthful, red-haired, glasses-wearing individual. Despite his age and seemingly-kind appearance, the hostility and austerity of the newly inaugurated consul was inmistakable.
"Salus, Exsequé Arnold," James said with a sneer. "Legaceti importun por tu palatiné? Of course you have, Mr Arnold, but clearly you can't even take the time to learn the language of a nation, that, unless persuaded otherwise, will not hesitate to make Calizorinstan its new breadbasket."

John said in a very icy tone "If you suddenly decided to make us your new breadbasket, I know a few, shall we say contacts that might change your mind..", he sneered back at the consul and said irritably "I believe that you should get your facts straight, why are you so hostile to other nations but yourself?, after all I wonder if Mr.Swanner would've been an improvement over you?" He smirked at the Consul, and said "Look, I have decided that if we leave you alone, you should leave us alone. I do not want a fight, but if push comes to shove, make no mistake, I will. Do you think that my years in the armed forces have not taught me, if you have.." He leered at the Consul and cracked his hands and had a malicious smile on his lips, "Two can play this game..", he thought..

"Please, sit, and have some tea," James replied coldly, gesturing at a small porcelain cup, whose counterpart was in the consul's hand. "I shan't forget my manners, even when it comes to the Calizorinstanis. Now, I dare say that you're actually attempting to physically intimidate me, what with the knuckle cracking. Really, though, Mr Arnold, we must be above such jejune acts. You and I both know that I hold sacrosanctity; assaulting either the head of state or head of government is a capital crime. You would be rather gruesomely massacred by both soldiers and police, much like the late Ingram Hasley. So there is little point in attempting to intimidate me. We must, instead, look towards cold, hard statistics." He picked up a slim red and black binder from his desk, emblazoned with the logo of the Ministry of War, and leafed through it as he continued. "The Londinian Armed Forces are at least twice as large as any force you could dream of mustering, and, of course, the overwhelming superiority of the People's Sovereign Navy would make seizing San Diego a simple task at worst. I believe, Mr Arnold, that you sought an audience with me to repair relations and stave off the wrath of this nation. You have seen what happened to Cazelia. You have seen what happened to North Calaveras. And unless you provide me with sufficient reason to not do so, Calizorinstan will meet an equally, if not more, horrific fate."

President Arnold said "I will do what is best for my nation, but I believe that we can rebuild our relations, as long as we don't have to give anything up in return. You must understand this consul, that I do not want my nation to be nuked, I must ask you to please leave our nation alone, we give our promise, and we will not renege upon it easily, sir. Heaterap Azzonpondi, I will say this, currently we have a foreign fleet station in San Diego, I want to ask you something.."
He leaned forward and said "Have you ever felt any remorse in your life Consul for any of your actions", just try it!, you know that as a true leader, you should try to be a diplomat first, then go to war if needed. I do not want war, but peace. You know, that my nation is in the Prussian Empire. I am not trying to threaten you, although I can see how you would see it as such. I do not want to make you think I am, but if you glass me, or try to, would you not expect me to fight?, oh, that is where you are mistaken, we would much rather have a conventional war if we are to fight. "
He smiled at the Consul and said "But, I will give my word that I will not threaten you anymore if you do not desire. I want to stave off your wrath by these terms. We will dismantle our space program, and give word that we will not do so again, not without notifiying you beforehand, and two, that we will not engage in any hostile action towards you. Third, we will give you our word that we will not go warmongering like the North Calaverans. If you must, we will allow you to observe us. We must stave off your wrath, as long as you do not ask too much of us, we are patient folk."
John showed no fear and said "I must ask you to re-consider glassing us "North Calaveran" style, it wouldn't be in my interests to threaten you and let that happen, rather, I strive to hold off your wrath. How about we just calm down, and ignore each other, and leave each other be. That would be what I propose. If you accept, we will not come with in 50 miles of your airspace, nor enter your waters without explicit permission from you. Hetaerp James, I do politely ask that you accept these terms, it is in both interests to hold off on your wrath.."
He smiled, confidance showing in his face, and he relaxed and said "I don't believe that you need to nuke us, first and foremost of all, we could trade some valueable items, we have a huge goldmine, if you need gold, and we also have tax free status if you want to set up any buisnesses. I think we could come to an agreement on this."

James clenched his teacup, the delicate porcelain slowly cracking as the anger inside the consul swelled. "Do not dare attempt to tell me how to do my job," Azzopardi replied. "And how dare you address me as such. Unbelievable, Mr Arnold, unbelievable. Get out of my office - and pray to whatever silly gods you choose to worship that you don't wake up tomorrow morning with the Ninth Legion marching in San Diego." Azzopardi pointed towards the door comprising part of the vast mural in his office, his finger quivering with fury. "Out."
OOC: For clarification's sake, it is considered taboo to refer to others by their first name unless they are family, lovers, or extremely close friends; in British Londinium, inappropriate usage of the first name is considered the pinnacle of rudeness.

OOC: I am sorry BL, I hadn't thought of it!
IC:
President Arnold stood there and said as he walked out softly, but coldly "I am dearly sorry Consul, that I offended you, but I believe still it is in your interests not to nuke us. I will pray hard and fast, and I believe that by the g grace of God, Calizorinstan will stand, and prevail if it comes to that, but I am certain you will see sense.." He strode briskly out the door and said to Cecilia "I really don't want my nation to be nuked, I really don't, think of the innocent children, could you at least try to tell him to be neutral on my nation?, heck, all I want is peace, but people give me war on my plate.."
OOC2: I don't have time for a war or a nuking, because I am at school, and I am really out of time to RP defenses and such, and I really wish for my nation to remain intact. I mean, I would if I had time, but I don't, so I am kind of being made to take a break for a little bit.

OOC: I wasn't actually planning on invading. Just because your leader has horrifically offended mine doesn't mean the Parliament votes to invade. And I'm too busy to invade you anyways. For future reference, though, look in my factbook for the "Guide to Londinian Business Etiquette", which covers these sorts of things.
