The Land of Komo

ok.. i will give a short explantation about the Land of Komo:

The land of Komo is basically big contient which is almost entirely desert, with only few places to grow food or to breed cattle. however, it is has oil and other natural resources at its mountains (mainly Iron and Copper), and other things that have yet been discovered (i shall add them later.).

Komo is filled by four tribal factions (three at the north and one at the south) who's technological level is barely beyond the bows and spears (they have no swords).

The Hawas faction (Red), the most developed between the four, however, its small
and the two other northern nations have many fights with her.

The Tamensaa't faction (Orange), the biggest faction but also very undeveloped. its very "militarized" faction.

The Unjiba faction (Bez'), the southren nation. Unjiba was mostly a "naval" nation, if you can call that so. the only nation that managed to create ships (though, only small wooden ones).

The Sawaa faction (Green), which is mainly agricultural nation. though, they still have strong army (compared to to other factions) and the only ones to use mining.

(they mine iron from the nearby small mountain range, and use it for their spears, where usually other nations use simple stones)

Few months ago, Bredfordian explorer Martin Bum used his small exploration fleet, three civilian ships, to try and find new land.

upon arrival to Komo, he immediantly reported to the Bredford goverment.

initially, it began as research mission, but as the natives proved more and more violet and hostile, the R.E.X Science company appealed to the military to come to help their scientists.

the coast of Unjiba (where Martin Bum landed) wasn't prepared to meet the Bredford trained army which was far superior to the Unjiba faction.

the suprised soldiers of Bredford meeted camels the first and their lives, and they were more suprised to meet the soldiers of the enemy riding on those camels and shooting arrows at them.

after the slaugther of the entire Unjiba army (by some squads armed with SMG's) most of the population of Unjiba fled east, aside from couple of friendly natives, which were treated well.

currently Bredford controls the Unjibian coast (Brown at the map) but due to this discovery, more nations are expected to grab their own pieces of land, mainly because of the oil resources.



This is MT ofcourse, and any nation can try to grab a piece of land on isle.

initial grabs should be told to me first, as i manage the map. after that, i will update the map by own from what you tell her.

be advised, the natives might not be dangerous, but the whole contient is desert, and the nature is always dangerous enemy.

i will be glad if someone will RP the natives, but i could do that myself if no wants.

After recieving a transmission from the attacks on Bredfordian soldiers President Orlov allowed it to be heard over the Drvarskan news.

Yuri Jovek head of the mining industry in Drvarska overheard the report and contacted the Economic minister suggesting that the vast resources of oil and iron there could boost the economy of Drvarska greatly. After a few meetings the government allowed to send an expedition force to the tribal continent and establish an industry there.

Yuri Jovek and a board of explorers were sent along to help find the exact location where to set the industry. They will be shipped there by transport ships.

Two battalions of the 2nd "Slavek" Division was sent to protect the explorers from any deadly encouters. 2000 men equipped with normal Drvarska military issue equipment (AK-47s, RPG-7s, PKMs) was sent aboard the SS "Volga" and SS "Ivan" Sovremenny class destroyers.

A port shall be established along the coast between Hawas and Sawaa.

A lone lizard rested on a rock, facing toward the sea. He had spotted three huge birds from a distance. He wondered if he should find cover. These birds were completely new to him - they didn't flap their wings, but they spinned them. Also, these birds made a thunderous noise, which got bigger, and bigger. As they got closer still, he saw that the bird was extremely fast. And it seemed to be lowering...

The lizard scarpered, and as the three 'birds' lowered, their rotors making a miniature sandstorm. When one of the huge beasts landed, out came seven soldiers, wearing brown short sleeved jackets over blue overalls. Another of the three landed, and out of it came some building materials. Finally, the largest one landed, and out of that came a 4x4 vehicle.

Weccanfeld had made its first imprint on this land. And it certainly wouldn't be the last.

Official Message from the office of the First Minister

I can announce today that Weccanfeld has claimed its slice of the recently discovered continent of Komo. Today, three heavy helicopters landed there to claim a portion of Komo, which can provide the resources needed for a growing nation such as us.

I can inform you that we have sent a number of boats, both military and civilian, to this area. We shall establish a port in this area, as well as prefabrication for a number of people. The work shall be done by those who have taken away from society, namely criminals, as well as professional workers. Over the next couple of years, we hope that this uncivilised land will benefit from the advantages of civilisation.

Aboard one of the aforementioned boats, the heads of the expedition were discussed the colonisation of these lands.

"So, about these...Saawa. What is the solution?"

"I say we send in some planes. Bomb them. Scare them into submission."

The group looked at the man who said this. He was a general, as could be told by his apparel.

"I have a better solution. But first, I must ask, have they got experience of the juices of the hop?"

"You what?"

"Alcohol. Do they have it?"

The man who had asked the first question in the first place quickly read through his papers, and quickly replied:

"Not that I know of"

"Good. Get me Perscold on the line. I have an order for him..."

"William?"

"Yes Victoria?" Victoria Mackenzie was the finance minister in Bredford.

"Well.. my predictments that oil could only do well for Bredford's economy.. i would request you to speed up the conquest of the oil-found areas.

other nations such as Weccanfield and Drvarska have already begun to grab parts of land from Komo,

and the "Westren Oil" have already notified me that they signed a construction contract for ten oil wells, you must understand that i am at pressure."

"ok Victoria.. i shall what i can."

the same day, Bredford soldiers began to march all over their current border with the Unjiba faction.

more "oil areas" have been conquered, and the stocks of Westren Oil are rising quickly because of the beginned construction.

However, the Unjiba faction began to ambush Bredford soldiers in their cattle breeding area, and many units were lost in the desert, with only air-dropped supply being airborned to them.

However the Bredford army was functioning quite well in the desert assuming most Bredfordians never saw a real sand in their lives expect from the coasts sand, mainly thanks to their GPS's and the ability to drop them supply from the air.

Yuri Jovek and his team of explorers gathered information on the surroundings and the direction they needed to go for the oil and iron. A battlion of 1000 men was boarded onto desert trucks to be sent towards the border between Hawas and Sawaa and to set up a camp. While the other 1000 was divided up to establish a small docking area and instalation along the coast. 900 was stationed to guard the docks while the remaining 100 was sent to the main tribal village in Hawas to negotiate with the leaders there. Boarded onto a group of mi-24 hinds they were on their way.

Meanwhile the SS "Volga" and SS "Ivan patrolled along the coast together searching more of the surroundings.

As the soldiers of Drvarska started marching in Hawas, the local population was getting angry at the Drvarskan soldiers.

as they tried to enter the leaders hut, the local Hawasians thought they want to kill him.

the town of Hawas, numbering around five thousand people, all attacked the hundred soldiers of Drvarska.

The Weccanfelt sector of Komo was going well.

Convicts had been shipped in to build the beginnings of a port, with a pier nearing completion. But also, a good deal of the convicts were working to build a railway to the alledged oil fields.

When a single 4x4 came into camp, back from the north east, bringing confrimation of there being oil, a number of lorries began to make their way toward the fields to claim them for the republic.

But it was at the Saawa border where one of the main actions of the Weccanfelts was taking place.

A lone truck, loaded with kegs in the back, made its way toward Saawa lands. They were to find a native and sell their cargo to them. When they did come across some, they piped their horns, and offered to sell to them.

(OOC: Can I rp their reaction, or is that Bedford's job only?)

Immediatly as the 100 soldiers stepped off the Blackhawks they were attacked as they approached the town. Major Yorlov commander of the task force drew out his pistol and shot two angry natives charging with spears at him. All the soldiers opened fire slaughtering many civillians, they were given the order to pull back and board the mi-24s returning to base. They had a number of casualties during the attack.

After recieving orders of the attack, General Zeitzev commander of the Drvarskan expedition military forces was outraged.

"These savages! We outta bomb the shit out of them!" he yelled during a brief meeting with some officers who looked at him silently.

"Sir, we can arrange a strike onto their villages with our mi-24 hinds. We brought along enough missles and bombs to do alot of destruction along with the weekly shipments." a flight officer suggested.

"Very well, send out an attack onto Hawas. See how they will like it when they meet the power of the Drvarskan military." Zeitzev said and he left the tent to enter his personel one to await more reports.

The 1000 soldiers of the 1st Battalion reached the border and prepared to dig in and set up camp. 600 men remained behind while 400 set out on trucks to seize some territory around the oil fields along the Hawas/Sawaa border.

Each soldier was now issued tropical uniforms and equipment (GPS etc.) that will help them survive the desert. Supply airdrops were now in effect.

On the ruins of Unjiba, new town began reconstructing.

Bum city, named after Martin Bum the explorer, was supposed to contain 7,000 people a bring civilization to this native lands.

anyway, after a peace was signed tons of weapon and ammo began arriving to the Unjibians, especially AK-47 rifles, who were easy to train and use, with military advisors.

that pack also included the RPK light MG, which was very similar to the AK-47, therefore easy to use, and the RPG-22.

late deliveries would also include Stinger AA missiles and AT LAW missiles, and T-90 tanks.

currently, the Unjibian tribe only knew how to use the AK-47 and the RPK light MG.

however, it appears that proved lethal also- a big group of Unjibians (around 500) ambushed the Tamansaa'tian army that was raiding Unjibian villages in north border.

the Tamansaa'tian army suffered casualties of more then 6,000 men, as they parked in narrow valley and the Unjibian gunmen attacked them from the sides, and the rest flied to Tamansaa'tian lands.

however, it appeared that those AK-47 became more and more common in Komo. there have been already been reports of considerable amount of AK-47's in the hands of the northern tribes.


The Bredfordians simply didn't care.

they supplied the arms, a peace treaty was signed, and now they have large colony in Komo, with almost no fighting.

OOC: Do I need to post results of the casualties taken in Hawas or should I leave it to Bredford to decide?

Now with more shipments coming in to the Drvarskan docks a small village has been established nearby that would accomodate 250 people. These people are mainly sent there to help build the industries. A further 200 men of the Drvarskan Special forces were sent to protect the village and its inhabitants from any attacks of tribal forces.

The 400 troops that were sent forward to the oil fields were divided into two groups (200 each) to build small camps just south-west of the fields. After constructing tents and other protection (sandbags, barbed wire) every troop was on the alert for any attack.
