Motto: "Frieden, Wohlstand und Betreibt (Peace, Prosperity and Power)"
Official Title: The Prussian Germanic Empire
Common Title: German Empire
Capital: Berlin
Government: The Prussian Germanic Empire is ruled in the style of an absolute Monarchy, though to say the Kaiser is the only source of power would be untruthful. He has a committee of twenty close advisors, who advise and sometimes coerce the Kaiser into decisions about laws, war, the Empire and the list goes on. This group of people became widely known and mocked by the people as 'Die Kaisers Männer (The Kaisers Men)' as they are ever present around him and wield immense power because they can change this unmoveable and ruthless man's mind. However, they are only advisors, and despite their political power because the Kaiser trusts them, it is ultimately only he who has the real rule over the Empire.
Ruler: Jonas Köhler, Kaiser of the Empire
Slavery: Abolished Though Present - in 1855 an act was passed, despite fierce opposition from the Kaiser and his Advisors, outlawing slavery in the homeland (Germany, Denmark, Poland, Netherlands). Almost overnight hundreds of thousands of slaves became free, and many more slaves who worked in the colonies tried to escape to go to 'the promised lands of Germany'. The act was only passed because the government feared that if it was not their would be a slave revolt in the colonies and at home.
However, despite a partial abolition of slavery in the colonies being passed in 1857, it is still present there. Labour camps also can be found. Slavery is officially outlawed in the European lands, but in the colonies people are just "advised" by the government to free their slaves. Only twenty percent of the slaves around before the 1855 reform are now free, as most where present in the colonies anyway. This is because the law is new and has not be strictly enforced, and of cause because it is still mostly legal to have slaves in the colonies. Some say the slave movement is once again gathering momentum.
Religion: For the past one hundred years the Kaisers have said religion is the problem with today, citing it as the reason for nearly every war in some way. However, despite their attitude, Roman Catholic's are ever present, and most Kaisers identify themselves as one. It is estimated eighty percent of the population is religious, and of that over sixty percent are Catholic. However, there is twenty percent of religious people who call themselves Protestant, and are located mostly in the North, but strangely the two relgions rarely clash.

Pop is very vague, as it is near impossible to find pop in 1860 for the countries I have, plus there is the fact that I only have the coastal regions. From this, I have taken a sizeable amount of the pop, as in countries in places like Africa at this time many would leave towards the coast. Please correct me if you can. The European population is the only one I am sure about.
