To the Calizorinstani government:

On 5 January 2012, at 1134 hours, a spacecraft under your jurisdiction flew past our Taikong I orbital facility, and, for reasons unknown to us, jettisoned its launch module in such a manner that it slammed into the side of one of its cylinders. The resulting decompression killed around two thousand Londinian nationals; the responsibility for their deaths lies on your nation's shoulders. The cost to repair the layers of transphase aluminium destroyed by your reckless spacefaring, and making the facility fully operational once more, on top of the cost to compensate the families of the dead, is enormous. I expect the Calizorinstani government to recompense the Londinian government in full for damages lest our ire be provoked.

Official Response:

We are very sorry for the horrific incident that involved our spacecraft, to that end we will pay 850 billion dollars to the British Londinian government for compensation. We will in future alert you when we fire up our spacecraft, but however we please ask that you in the future position your space stations away from the Calizorinstani Continent to avoid this problem in the future. We also ask that you do not charge the pilots of the craft, upon further investigation it appears as though an oxygen tank explosion severed the link of the service module. Col.Arnold said he intended to release it further up and way from the space station. We apologize to the families of the people killed and we are horrified by this incident.

It is appalling that you dare to blame this incident on British Londinium. Our facility is in a tundra elliptical orbit at an altitude of 60,000 kilometres. Is it our fault that your spationaut training programme is so fundamentally flawed that, when in space, your personnel are incapable of properly handling an oxygen tank explosion? Is it our fault that your country lacks the knowledge or materials to construct a proper spacecraft? I think not, Mr Cox. I expect your funds to be wired immediately, and, furthermore, I demand that your Colonel Arnold be relieved of duty immediately and be prohibited from future flights at altitudes of fifty kilometres or higher.

Clearly, you do not seem to understand what Consul Azzopardi has said to you. The Londinian government expects full compensation for your error; three hundred billion dollars is insufficient. We expect that the Calizorinstani will wire nine hundred billion dollars to this government, and comply with our directives regarding Colonel Arnold forthwith. Failure to do so, Mr Cox, will result in extreme penalty. Ask the North Calaverans what we mean by penalty, and you will see that this is no joking matter.

The People's Sovereign Republic would be delighted for Akimonad to assist in the repairs, though, as nanophase aluminium is a bit of a rare commodity, we will provide materials.

The Free Empire of New Vantania would like to assist British Londinium in the reconstruction of the facility, our space program could use such a mission. Also, we laugh at Calizorinstan's misfortunes, recalling what happened last time a country owed British Londinium money.

John Arnold intercepted the documents, and said to the President "I will flee the country, wire them 1.2 trillion from the government." President Arnold stuttered but John said "No buts, I will leave the nation!"

So at 1:00 AM Colonel Arnold took off in his Cessna Citation and fled Calizorinstan.

To the government of Calizorinstan;

Frankly, I am appalled that you are not going to meet the demands of the government of British Londinium. It is your fault that this accident occurred, and it is your pilots fault that he could not stop it from happening.

Furthermore, should you not decide to meet the demands laid down by the government of British Londinium, then we will have to side with them. We hope it does not come to that.

Official Communique

As one of the "older" brothers of Calizorinstan, due to it's commitment to the Soviet Commonwealth, we will help them pay the reparations to the British People, however, we'll be monitoring their movements and space program more closely from now onwards.

With the growing crisis between Vetaka and Mer Des Ennuis worsening the mood within the Vetakan Government was tense to say the least. The Vetakan Foreign Secretary a man known as Perry Cox sat engrossed in a report marked "VFA:- Situation Report: The Calizorinstan-British Londinium Space Incident" putting that file down he picked up another one marked: "VSIS:- Situation Report: The Calizorinstan-British Londinium Space Incident. Security Level 1. Strictly Classified" skimming through this Intelligence Report he put it down looked up at a picture of a young man on his desk he sighed. He opened his desk draw and took out a small black book flicking through he stopped on a page and then snatched up his OBSAT Secured Phone and proceeded to dial after few seconds it clicked and a female secretary answered:

"Hello?"

"Hello, my name is Perry Cox, Foreign Secretary to the Free Dominion of Vetaka. My I speak with Terry?"

Perry Cox and Terry Cox where actually brothers by some cruel twisted history they had become seperated when they where children their parents had divorced their mother had gone to Calizorinstan with Terry. While their Father had gone to Vetaka with Perry. They had all taken their respective nations citizenship and it was most ironic that both Terry and Perry had become their nations Foreign Secretaries.
