Death To The Oppressors! (ATTN TPF/ALL PMT)

“The sky is truly beautiful tonight,” the young teenage girl whispered, holding tightly to her boyfriend laying in the field next to her. He shifted slightly, looking into the sky and laid his head into the grass.

“That it is babe,” He said, turning his head to look at her. She grinned again at him, resting her head upon her arm while he leaned in to kiss her. “I’m really glad you came with me,” He said afterwards.

“I am too,” She replied. They returned to looking into the black sky, under a blanket of a million stars throughout the cosmos. A shooting star crossed the sky, and her boyfriend pointed.

“Look! A shooting star!”

“I see it, its very beautiful, but its strange.”

“How so?” He asked, confused.

“It has a green color to it, the trail behind it. I’ve never seen that before.” She replied, her brow furrowed, thinking about it.

“Huh, must be a special one then.” She nodded.

“Yeah, must be.” Immediately afterwards, another came even closer, striking down into a mountain some two hundred yards from where they lay, exploding into the mountain and causing a shockwave to surge through the ground, shaking the couple fiercely.

“Oh my god!” Cried the girl. “Are you alright?”

“Yeah sweet heart,” Her boyfriend replied, standing up and brushing dust shaken up from the ground off his T-shirt. “Lets go check it out. Maybe I can like, find some beautiful space crystal for you.” She giggled. And took his hand as he led her through the upgrown glen into the hillside where the meteor had landed. They climbed into a thicketed area, into the side of the mountains which were secluded by dense forest and underbrush. Continuing upward for almost an hour, they finally came up to a cave created by the entry of the meteor.

“I don’t like this,” the girl said, looking around shining her flashlight around the mouth of the cave. “Maybe it could collapse.”

“Nah, its fine,” The boy replied. “Wow, it sure is deep! Look how far the beam travels!” He shined the light farther into the cave as they continued. Looking upwards, the heat from the meteor turned some of the upper layers of rock and sand into glass, leaving a strange greenish glow on everything. The cave was immense, several dozen feet high and about the same width. He himself was shocked the mountain didn’t collapse, but was sure that the area was secure enough for him and his girl to safely traverse. They neared the meteor, and saw an amazingly bright a beautiful emerald glow from the rock exterior, which appeared to have spread into the ground around it.

“Sweet Jesus,” The girl whispered, her eyes wide in awe. “Its beautiful! The most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen!”

The boy nodded himself. Though the simple fact that his girl wanted it was enough to tempt him to go collect some, the thought of fortune for collecting such rocks did not fail to cross his mind either. Finally, he worked up enough nerve to say, “I’m going to get some.”

“Ok, but be careful!” She said, looking over her shoulder back down the cave. He neared it slowly, cautiously, and felt a slight tingling as he approached, an odd feeling coming over him, slowly, ominously. He shook it off however as mere fear of this unknown extraterrestrial object and its minerals. Upon the cave floor several feet from a larger patch of this green field of crystals, was a smaller bunch of seven or eight individual crystals jutting out crookedly from the earth. He grabbed one and immediately realised his awesome mistake.

His hands burned, but the incredible amounts of radiation and heat being thrown off from the crystal welded the object to his clenched hands. He screamed in pain. The girl panicked, shrieking in horror as slowly after a few seconds his body shifted, and fell, writhing in agony upon the cave floor. His skin began to move, changing, becoming more rigid, burning. A green glow emitted from it as it became crystalline and small cells of the foreign substance appeared across his arms and spread with incredible rapidity up into his torso and up into his face.

“Oh god, Samantha! Help me!” He cried for her, but she shook her head, tears streaming from her face. She knew that coming too close to him would mean the same fate for her. She backed away slowly, watching as her boyfriend slowly became a new field of tiberium.

Six hours later
Kane’s Word Cell
Hand of Nod, Central Africa

“Welcome Commander Silvan,” A black uniformed Officer addressed the leader of the Kane’s Word cell of the Brotherhood of Nod. “It is an honor to have you among us.”

“Thank you Captain Edipus. It is good to be here. What is the situation?”

“I’m glad you asked. I like that, straight to business,” The Captain added with a grin, one which Silvan returned. “Our satellites reported a meteorite crashing into a nation called The PeoplesFreedom earlier this morning.”

“Does it contain Tiberium?” Silvan inquired.

“Our scanners tracked it and it’s a positive. We can expect that area of the country to be a yellow at least, if not a full blown red zone within two months.”

“Excellent news Captain, thank you for receiving me right away.”

“I live to serve, Commander.” Silvan placed a hand on the Captain’s shoulder.

“And well you serve, my friend.” He smiled. “Now then, how soon can we get a Black Hand Team in there with some militiamen to secure the area and establish it as a Nod Base?”

“Very soon, sir. We can have men there tomorrow most likely.”

“See that it happens. We need a new base of operations. Does that area have any troubled spots?”

“A neighboring nation apparently is fairly anarchic.”

“That’s incredible news. We can draw new recruits from the populace if need be. Move out Captain, we have work to do.”

“Indeed Commander. In the Name of Kane!”

Silvan nodded, “Death to the Oppressors!”

Twenty-Four Hours Later
Tiberium Mountain, The PeoplesFreedom

“There it is,” One of the Militiamen said, slinging his Kalashnikov rifle over his shoulder. “The Tiberium!”

“Excellent,” The Black Hand Unit Officer said, his mask giving his voice a metallic, otherworldly sound. “We shall begin seeding it to enhance its spread into the region.” The militiamen nodded. They had entered the nation easily. Merely flew in from their homelands. Once there, they purchased weapons from gunstores. The Black Hand’s arrival was more difficult, they landed aboard zodiac boats, however they nonetheless found that their trek to the Tiberium site was done relatively easily, and thus far without confrontation. Hopefully this would continue.

Engineers had flown in to begin construction of training facilities in the region. They were rudimentary at first, rows of tents with make shift targets of sheet metal set up in rows. However it would do for now. Kane’s armies grew stronger every day, and would continue to as long as the people were oppressed and the Tiberium spread. Commander Silvan realized that soon the Government of their host nation would discover them, and there would be politicking to either allow them basing rights or a guerrilla war. Whichever occurred he cared not. The Brotherhood could not be defeated.

Several weeks later after construction and new recruits from the bordering nation were brought in and training began, Commander Silvan transferred over to the new base, ever growing in the backwater of TPF. He grinned sinisterly knowing that his forces would soon be ready to strike at any foes of the Brotherhood. None would be safe from the wrath of the Messiah!
