200 Nautical Miles off Cookeslandic Coast
5:32 PM
Captain Johnson of the U.S.S Aries was in high spirits and why not, today had been a good day in his book. There was peace, the sea was calm, and the new U.S.S Ophiuchus had just completed it’s trials at sea. He could see the battleship about a mile away on the starboard side.
The ship’s radio suddenly sparked to life, but all that could be heard was loud static and the suddenly several deep beepings sounds. Just a soon as the incident happened, the radio went dead again.
“What in the hell was that?” asked Captain Johnson to the First Mate
“I don’t know sir, but it must have been from somewhere not to far off.” Was his reply
Captain Johnson looked out west at the setting sun, something was wrong.
“Where did the Ophiuchus go?”
