Your Nation's T.V. Network
In Alfegos, there are 8 national channels:
ANN 1 - The news 24/7
ANN 2 - Financial news from across the world 24/7
ATV 1 - Various T.V. programs
ATV 2 - Documantaries
These channels are not government controlled:
PN 24 - The People's Network news station
PNV - Various
ATVC - Comedy channel
Voyager - Documentaries channel
All households in Alfegos are expected to have satellite t.v, as the government has almost phased out cable and UHF.
In Alfegos, there is also the popular pirate station called PTV, which is outlawed and being hunted down by the government. It shows many programs that are censored by the government for insulting it or the country, and softcore pornography. It mainly operates from ships offshore, which have on occasion been torpedoed by the Alfegos navy.

Imperial TV for MT
Imperial Isan TV for FT
aside all are too busy to watch tv to really need it
There is a technical monopoly by the UTG for all VHF channels. UHF channels are all run by Foreign Broadcasters in hopes that they may remove the technical monopoly and allow other networks such as the UBC and UTB.
Shenyang
15-08-2007, 18:46
Shenyang has several hundred TV channels. Citizens have access to several different types of TV access. (cable, satellite, etc.) The Shenyangi government only controls 4 channels exclusively. These are:
SGTV (Shenyangi Government TV)
MilTV (Military TV)
SSATV (Shenyangi Space Agency TV)
EBTV (Emergency Broadcast TV)
There are several major networks in Shenyang, blow is an excerpt of the list:
SBC - Shenyangi Broadcasting Corp.
WNN - World News Network
GMMG - Global Mass Media Group
There are no directly outlawed channels, and the government only generally regulates what can and cannot be shown. Basically requiring that it is at a minimum tasteful, if not the always the best of programming. Several 'Pirate Stations' exist, however they aren't real threats to Shenyang, and are not actively pursued, as they are in many other nations. We merely request that they either shut-down operations, or apply for a broadcasting liscence. During the waiting period for their liscence they are allowed to maintain operations. Liscences are permanent unless some gross breach of its terms is commited, in which case it can be revoked. Liscences can then be requested again.
Programming that shows Shenyang in a negative light is allowed by the government, as we believe in freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Advocating violence is restricted however. Pornographic programming is outlawed, and even the illegal pirate stations do not air such filth. The Shenyangi government asks that in return for this freedom, broadcasters be willing to air government sponsored programs if it is necessary to do so.
Shenyang has an emergency alert system that is broadcast on every channel, and is tested a minimum of once a month, at the discretion of the broadcaster.
Kirav has:
INN: Imperial News Network
IBN: Imperial Broadcast Network
ITV: Imperial Television Centre
As well as 500 smaller channels rented out to private entities.
The State operates the television industry, but most of the content is provided by the private sector. There is no censorship whatsoever.

OOC: I'm sorry. I didn't know that thread existed.
It's perfectly alright. That thread is more for a listing of programs rather this is more for stating how the TV industry is run.
