Imperial Labs now selling clones

just today, Imperial labs sucsessfully cloned a human being, the late Jonathan Rogers, a 4 star general of the marine corps who was shot dead during the 1st civil war. he was cloned, and looks the age he died.

the labs are now selling clones for 1.3 million. they may retain their old memories, if the creation goes right.

OOC: Do you have any idea at all how cloning works?

Let me give you a hint. You don't -- can't -- reproduce the old individual, or bring it back from the dead. All you can recover is the DNA. Therefore, you can create an entirely new General Jonathan Rogers, in embryonic form, and keep your fingers crossed that the personality won't turn out too different. Retaining the memories or consciousness of the old individual is impossible, as is producing a new individual at any age other than zero.

The kind of cloning you describe is future tech, and even cloning humans the way sheep and cats have been cloned is PMT -- and probably, in terms of the overall risks, something that would attract a lot of protest from human rights groups.
