The Count, who lived by the name of Jakarl, was feeling the wear of the years. 350 years on earth can have that effect on you, and this particular rainy morning he felt it in his bones. The rain pattered upon the castles ancient yet sturdy windows, as Jakarl admired the ashy grey skies. His invitations had been sent, all those who had Porphyric Hemophilia, who had been discovered by one of Jakarls many agents and contacts at one time or another. Today they were too arrive, and Jakarl was eager. Too long had he stood alone. Too close was the encroachment upon the people of his race, those who afflicted with vampirism, the contemporary term. Already he had been hunted by the Communists, the Local Police, CIA, Scotland yard, anything the world of the day-walkers could throw at him. His disdain for the day-walkers had reached its peak, and he would need his borhters of the night beside him, if he is too complete his plan. He was eager now, oh so very eager...
*New York, United States-December 4th, 1968*
Captain Wyllams stood close againt the dumpster, his thick leather jacket keeping the icy cold snow from him. His red hair was especially bright underneath the alleyway light. He took in a deep puff of his cigaratte, blowing the ashy cloud into the air. His recruits would have too show up soon, time was of the essence. Jack represented the CIA's anti-vampire unit, a highly classified bureau, which operated outside of the goverment red-tape processes. Codenamed the "Ivory Hunters", a name picked by Jack himself, the bureau was under direct orders from the director, one of the few men on earth who knew his units true mission. Too root out vampirism, by any means. All Jack had too do was wait, bide his time. His recruits knew who they were, though they would be unsure of what was too come.
OOC- A basic hunter RP. Join up with the Dark Brotherhood, or the Ivory Hunters. Please keep it fair, as I know it will be very tempting too be on the vamps side, but we will need hunters! I will now explain how Porphyric Hemophilia works in this RP.
Modeled after the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Vampirism works backward from what is usually established with the affliction. Directly after feeding upon a victim, a vampires apperacne drastically changes, as does its weaknesses and resistances. The longer a vampire goes without feeding, the stronger it gets. However, its apperacne changes, and it can be recognized far more easily.
*Porphyric Hemophilia*
A vampire has just fed upon its victim. Its hair is know close too its natural color, its eyes are very dark, usually black, and it appears almost completely normal. Complexion will always be somewhat pale, but directly after a feeding, a healthier color is intergrated into the skin. As for abilities, well the vampire is only slightly stronger than the average man, and its general 5 sense are about 10% stronger than the average humans. Vampires at this stage are safe in the sunlight, at least until stage 1.
*Stage 1*
A vampire has gone 24 hours without feeding. The most notable change, will be if the vampire has naturally lighter hair, it will notice the roots are darkening incredibly quickly, and the eyes are lightening up, somewhat brownish at this point. The skin, is now unhealthily pale now. As for abilities, Vampires at this poin are now very resistant too bthe cold and ice. So much so that they are 20% more resistant too the cold than the average human. Thier senses have jumped from 10%-20% stronger than the average human. However the vampire is now vulnerable too the heat and fire, a bit more than an avergae human would be.
*Stage 2*
48 hours have passed without a feeding. The hair will now be (if not already naturally) very dark, a deep brown in hue. The eyes will now be a light brown color, and the skin will be very white. The vampire is now 25% stronger than the average human, and its senses are 35% sharper. It is stronger, faster than almost all humans now. Its resistance too ice and cold are very strong now, being 45% more resistant too cold than the average human. Fire and heat are now pretty dangerous, being far more dangerous too a vampire than a human. Vampires at this point will have noticed drastic muscle changes, being alot stronger in the arms, abdomen, and legs. The sun becomes a strong irritant, but nothing lethal.
*Stage 3*
72 hours. A vampire can now be recognized by the average civilan. The eyes are a deep red color, Maroon too be exact, and the hair is completely black. The skin has no color too it. The vampire is now 40% stronger than the average human. Its senses, are 65% sharper. It is capable of acrobatic feats that would stun the worlds most adept gymnasts. Ice and cold are resisted 70% more than the avergage human could resist. Fire is incredibly lethal too the touch. The sun is very harmful, giving a vampire about 20 minutes at most too last in broad daylight. The vampires seduction, an ability of the vampires is added. They can easily seduce people through strong speechcraft skills that they posses.
*Stage 4*
96 hours since the last feeding. The hair is still pitch black, the eyes are a lighter red color. The vampire is 55% stronger than the average human, rivaling the worlds strongest body-builders. Sense are 80% sharper rivaling cats, dogs, and other highly alert animals in awarness. The vampire is extremely charismatic and can seduce easily. Ice and cold are no longer and issue, as the vampire is twice as resistant as the average human. The vampire will now notice small wrinkles on the face and arms, due too the lack of fresh blood.
*Stage 5*
120 hours into it, almost done folks! Eyes are now very light red, the vampire is teice as strong as the average human. Sense are twice as much as average, ice and cold cannot harm the vampire. Fire (were talking a match here) will kill a vampire very easily. The sun will kill on contact as well. The skin is now, along with being pure white, is wrinkeld fairly bad. The vampires most powerful attribute is now availible. On the vampires whim, it can make itself invisible too the naked eye, for however long it pleases.
*Stage 6*
144 hours, and thats it! The vampire cannot be anymore powerful, but by now its weaknesses and apperances are clear give-aways too enemies. Strength and sense are a 1.5X that of an average human, eyes are pink, wrinkles are deep and noticeable. The vampire can run too rival a cheetah, and jump equally as well. The vampire will not change from here on, unless it feeds. Once it feeds, it goes BACK TOO STAGE 1, no excuses. Its a dilema. Stay powerful, but sacrifice concealment?
*feeding*
When the vampire feeds, it DOES NOT spread Porphyric Hemophilia. It can only be spread if the vampire exchanges blood with another. (Such as how HIV is spread) Once you feed, no matter what stage your in, you go back too stage 1. Its your choice when too feed, or IF too feed.
*Misconceptions*
Garlic and crosses do not affect a vampire at all. A vampire cannot turn into a bat. Holy water is also irrevelant too vampires safety. Vampires however, ARE immune too aging, and all forms of poison and disease.
*Too level the field*
The Ivory Hunters will undergo intense steroid treatment, and we can assume they all are in peak physical condition. They will posses all the good equipment, and have the police on thier side.
