There are times when two flags fly,
Oh, so high in the sky,
Look at them fly.
But that cannot last,
While it may be a blast,
To see two flags fly for one nation,
Two flags cannot fly forever,
For one must die. – Author Unknown
{The Rebels}
The AK-47 let out staccato busts at the government jeep, Ivan Eokw sat in the passenger side of a beat up Land Rover suv and shot at the enemies. A spree of .50 caliber fire came from the jeep’s mounted machine gun and three rounds found their mark in Ivan’s chest, then crimson blood ran down the scratched up white paint. The driver, Tyler Eokw, had a moment of shock as he watched the government slaughter his brother, but then he snapped back into reality, a little too much. Everything was enhanced, and slowed down, he saw every faded yellow line in the old highway, every snow dusted pine tree that flew he flew past at 80 mph, and then an opening in the forest. He jerked the wheel right, and the suv threatened to roll for a moment, but then recovered.
The Land Rover dug in to the mud that had been left after the snow melted, and Tyler dodged trees as he slowed down to about 40 mph. The trick had given him a little more lead from the jeep, but not nearly enough, .50 cal fire busted out the back window and dug into the back seats. He caught an eerie sight as his brother’s body flopped limp around the passenger’s seat. He hit an old log that shook the vehicle with such force that it prompted Tyler to check the cargo in the back floorboards; the RPG 7 and its ammunition were fine, as well as the 3000 AK-47 cartridges. He reached over to the glove compartment and dug around the papers in it until he found a grenade that was stored there. He waited until he had about a thousand feet clear, pulled the pin, and tossed the grenade out the window. The government jeep fell for it, just in time. The resulting explosion echoed for miles. Tyler was temped to go back for the leftovers of the government jeep, but he resisted the urge, he had to get the hell out of there before more showed up.
Tyler pulled up a to a rag-tag rebel base, and stepped silently out of the car. He ignored everyone else, and went into a tent that he had mad his own. Well, it used to belong to him and his brother, but not anymore.
“Government bastards.” He said, he was so angry, but he was so cold, the government had executed many people he’d known, and almost all of his family, but what could he do? The only hope he had was in that righteous flag that flew over the camp.
{The Communists}
Lionel Eterzion was the communist ruler of United Concordia, and he had the mind of a true madman. But, he was completely sane to his point of view. As are all those who have truly lost it. But now he pondered what to do about the growing rebel force, and the deaths of more men.
He so whished to crush the rebel force, he had had no sympathy for any cause other than his own since his father’s assassination in 2000. He knew that the flag that hung on his wall was right, vaticus, money, that’s what it was all about, that and revenge on those who had hurt him. He stood mighty tonight on a balcony overlooking a thousand soldiers, who marched goose legged around his military compound of a capitol, Taui. No rebels could beat him. However, he had made sure his father’s blood was never cleaned off the balcony. And it stood as a faded crimson reminder of the futility of simply believing one is invincible, one has to show that he is invincible, by eliminating everyone who says otherwise.
OOC: for now I'm seeing how this works without an OOC thread, but if the OOC chatter gets too much I'll start one, or you can start one at any time, just put 'Two Flags' or something in the title. As far as what you do and who you support, or you could just invade my little nation and burn it to the ground, or you could come up with something totally different to do, the only real limit is you imagination.
PS: the Goverment flag is on top, the rebel flag is on bottom.
