OOC: When the whole TCBS thread chain is over, I'm going to start a civil war thread. (For my nation) This is an open invitation for anyone who wants in.
Mereshka

OOC: Sorry I've been gone for a couple days guys. I've been busy.
IC: Saya surveyed the battlefield, and fought the urge to retch. There was blood and gore everywhere. It waas like a B grade zombie flick. She looked down at her katana. It needed sharpening, that much was certain. She wondered if the armorer had survived this. She motioned for the little girl to follow her, and walked over to Dag. "Hey, whats wrong with the gun?"

Alex had to restrain the urge to punch something when Saya asked him about 'Exeter'.

"One of those things put a bullet into the right side of the slide. I've got to replace it. I've had this exact gun since I was 19, and one lucky vampire managed to hit and crack it. It needed an overhaul, but, I'm just glad I killed which ever one it was that did it."

He showed her the damage. The bullet was lodged in the side of the slide.

"I'll get the replacement parts I had made sent over, rebuild 'Exeter', but its not gonna be the same. For me, this is the same as breaking your katana would be to you."

He hoped that analogy would make it clear how angry he was about this turn of events.

"You okay, I mean you were over there going at it with your katana the whole time. Atleast I had guns to fall back on."

Alex secretly wondered if Saya was substantially tougher than him. He wouldn't doubt it, from what he'd seen and heard Mereshka was a tough place to grow up.

OOC: wait, didn't I give you my 1911?
Calizorinstan
03-09-2007, 17:18
OOC: Sorry for the delay, I am back..

IC: John followed Dag4 and Saya, firing at any zombies he saw, and said "I suppose now's a bad time to tell you, but my country was EMP nuked two days ago.." He fired his FN FAL at a zombie that popped up, shooting it in the head..
Shenyang
03-09-2007, 17:18
OOC: No, I tried to give Canadstein's guy Dag5's 1911, which I added for that post.

Calizorinstan, I think you might have jumped ship as to which thread this is. Just a thought.

03-09-2007, 17:22
OOC: Ah right, my bad..

IC:

John smiled as he killed another vampire with his new katana that was stronger then the other one he had. He sliced off another vampire's head, and stabbed another, and cut of the other's head.

OOC: Shenyang, look a few posts back. Ed offered you his 1911 when he saw what happened to yours.
IC:
Seeing Dagger 5's pistol ruined, Morallis got up and walked over to him. He unholstered his DSP and offered it to him.

"It's not nearly the same as a Colt, but it's never failed me through my six years on the force. Just something to use until yours is fixed and broken in."

Kirk was slowly nodding off, keeping one eye open. He had his rifle cradled in his lap and a half-eaten power bar in his hand.

"So," he asked loudly enough as to be heard, "What's for dinner?"

Despite the nauseating carnage and the stink of dead vampire, he came to the realization that he was starving.

"There a good burger joint nearby?"
Calizorinstan
04-09-2007, 00:40
John nodded and said "Here Here, Kirk's got the right idea!" He sat down next to Kirk and wiped his brow, trying to ignore the stink of the dead vampires..

04-09-2007, 01:33
"Its okay, I'll rebuild it tomorrow, Dagger Team can get me all the parts, and she needed to be rebuilt."

He looked up from the damaged weapon.

"Still, its a shame."
Mereshka
04-09-2007, 03:11
Saya laughed at Kirk, "Burger joint? You forget Mereshkans live in what you call the past. If you want a 'sushi joint', then your fine. But thats the best you''ll get if you want fast food." Saya now understood why Alex was so emotional over his broken gun. She'd received her katana from her great-grandfather, right before he passed away. She wasn't sure she would be able to handle it breaking.
Shenyang
04-09-2007, 21:17
OOC: As a point of reference, Dagger-5's m1911a1 is, atleast to him, is half-heirloom, and half-child. He got it from his grandfather (now deceased). Since then he went to work modifying it. He took it from your standard military issue 1911 to a nearly 100% custom rebuilt. He's spent more time perfecting this weapon than he'd admit.

IC:
"I'll never understand you Kirk. We just finished fighting for our lives, horribly outnumbered and god knows what else, and all you can think is, 'I'm hungry.'"

Dagger-5 couldn't wrap his mind around how Kirk could be thinking of food. Partly because he was busy trying to figure out what the vampires had been after.

"Saya, how'd that girl make out, is she okay?"
Mereshka
04-09-2007, 21:36
Saya looked down at the girl, "Oh, she seems fine I think. She stayed by us the entire time, so shes not hurt." Saya knelt down by the girl, "Hey, are you okay?" The girl nodded silently.
Shenyang
04-09-2007, 21:43
"That's good, I was worried that when I had to move off a bit something could have got in behind me."

Dagger-5 pulled out his flask of vodka, looked at it a moment, then blanched and put it back into his gear. He spit into his glove, and noticed that it was red with blood.

"Great, what's causing this?"

He checked around his mouth and found that he'd bitten his tounge, leaving a nasty gash.

"Bit my tounge, blood and vodka don't taste to good together. Then again, blood and anything is unpleasant. No offense to the vampires present, but its true, blood tastes bad."
Mereshka
04-09-2007, 21:46
Saya walked over to Alex and gave him a hug. She grinned up at him, "Aww, did my wittle Awex bit his toungie?" The girl stifled a giggle.
Shenyang
04-09-2007, 22:03
He took down at Saya, he had a smirk on his face. He avoided showing his teeth, as they were red with his own blood, and he didn't want to look like anything he'd just been killing.

"Atleast we made it through that, I can live with a bloody mouth and some mild injuries as long as we're all still alive. Perhaps we should look into who else made it out, like, where's our C.O.?"
Mereshka
04-09-2007, 22:07
Alex's question ws answered as Aozora walked into the room. He looked just as bloodied and battered as the rest of them, and his wakazabi was covered in blood and nicks. "Well, everyone okay? Turns out that almost everyone here were disguised vampires. Base is shot, we've gotten in contact with the capital, and the Emperor has kindly allowed us to use his palace as a temperary base."
Shenyang
04-09-2007, 22:14
"High-class baby!"

Dagger-5 almost jumped into the air. He wasn't suprised that the base was full of vampires, he'd thought everyone was a little... freaky. At first he'd wrote it off as Mereshkan peculiarities, then he'd started to wonder.

"Umm... I mean, any idea what they were after? Seemed pretty intent on getting at Saya, that girl, and I, as you can see."

He gestured to the decimated hall, which was strewn with bodies.

"Oh, and, about the hallway and store room. That was my bad, Dragon's Breath shell, and a propane tank. I got... a bit carried away."
Mereshka
04-09-2007, 22:19
Aozora laughed, "Tired of baselife?" He looked around the hall, "Who knows what they were after. For all I know they didn't like the way your nose looked."
Shenyang
04-09-2007, 22:36
"Oh, base life is fine, its just that it gets a little tedious, I did my tour, 4 years on Shenyangi bases all over the world."

He realized that Aozora had taken a shot at him.

"If they didn't like my nose, then they're pretty shallow creatures. Come on, I mean, if they were to go after anyone on looks, surely they'd have attacked Kirk."
Mereshka
04-09-2007, 22:42
Aozora laughed again, "That they would, that they would. Well, saddle up, and lets head to the chopper."
Calizorinstan
04-09-2007, 22:54
John smiled and said to Saya "Well let's go then.." He ran and hopped into the chopper..
Mereshka
04-09-2007, 22:56
Saya grinned and ran torwards the chopper, she was finally going home!!

OOC: The palace is located in the clan where Saya was born, and Mereshkans never really feel at home unless in their clan.
Calizorinstan
04-09-2007, 23:10
John hopped into the chopper and said to Saya "I can't wait to see what Mereshka is like.."

Kirk gave a derisive snort at Dag5's comment, "I'll have you know Dominion citizens pride themselves on their looks. Besides, even if someone doesn't look all that great, we at least the discipline to 'hold our tongues.'"

He gave a friendly smile and followed Morallis to the chopper.

"I wonder how the food is?"
Shenyang
05-09-2007, 02:18
"Ha, ha, your sarcasm is as effective at wounding me as a de-clawed kitten that thinks I'm its mother. Speaking of kittens, I wonder if 4 still has any left, there were a few that were so cute and...

...what? I can't have a sensitive side now?"

He boarded the chopper, and pulled out his cell phone. He dialed speed dial 3 and was put through to D-4.

"Hey, I need the parts for 'Exeter', could you send them to the Mereshkan Imperial Palace. Thanks man, you're the best, I will. Pa ka."

He put the phone away.

"Saya, D-4 says hi, and told me that kitten I was talking about is still available. Please?"

He made a comically pleading face.

05-09-2007, 02:26
Saya laughed, "If you don't get the cat Alex, I will. I love kittens."
Shenyang
05-09-2007, 02:40
"Yes!"

Alex nearly jumped for joy, except he was on a helicopter.
Mereshka
05-09-2007, 02:44
Saya lughed even harder and snuggled up to him. "Don't worry, we will get a cat." "About five hours folks, we're heading to the mountains." The pilot called back. There were no mountains in sight in any direction. Saya sighed, it looked to be a long ride, and she already felt the begginings of air sickness. It seemed to be getting worse for some reason.

05-09-2007, 02:54
"Try taking a nap Saya, I'll wake you if something happens. Trust me."

He gave her a reassuring look.

Saya nodded gratefully and closed her eyes, still snuggled against him.

Ed took this time to look over his gear, most of it was shredded, and what worked wasn't in good condition. He focused on the GPS unit and Radio log, Crispy and Evan had dissapeared in the battle, and even though his radio couldn't send anything, it could still recieve. he finaly got it to work and reviwed the log, and played the message with a head set on. A cold precise voice spoke, not one he recoginized. "This is how the world ends." It said. "Not with a bang but with a whimper."

United human countries
06-09-2007, 00:10
OOC; Now that is my favorite subject. Can't have a future if you forget your past, right?

Edit: Forgot the OOC, usualy get excited by any one who knows any history.
Mereshka
06-09-2007, 00:19
OOC: I agree with that, its good to see a student interested in the past. Most are too busy with the present and future. T
United human countries
06-09-2007, 00:23
OOC: yeah, I mean, its okay tp be interested in the present and future, but without the past, you wouldn'e be here. many people forget that alot of the sutff we do today is influenced by the past. (Like US foreign policy for example.)
Mereshka
06-09-2007, 00:32
OOC: Right, its good you see that. That, and if you don't know the past, its bound to repeat itself, mostly the bad parts.
United human countries
06-09-2007, 00:32
OOC: Oh yeah, especially the really bad parts, like the US civil war and the cold war. (Except a not so cold war with nukes)
Mereshka
06-09-2007, 00:37
OOC: Hehe. The nukes are the really bad part, most of these people don't even realise the power of nukes, they don't seem to realise that if one goes off, who we launched it at, will say "Oh yeah? Watch this!" Then, because hey know they're screwed anyways, more nukes launch, setting off even more, until the entire world is a barren wasteland.
Ruthless Slaughter
06-09-2007, 00:42
Yeah, then it's a few million years before complex life can live on the planet. Provided the planet's orbit hasn't been thrown out of whack...
Fortunately, nukes have only been a deterrent since WWII. Even North Korea's program is only meant as bargaining chip to get the world to pay attention.
United human countries
06-09-2007, 00:42
OOC; Exactly, and most people don't tend to realize the destructive power of nukes. Most think, "Oh, a citys been vaporized, oh well." but what they don't count on is the fall out. While maybe, lets say, two million people died from the nuke, the fallout alone will kill or sicken several million more, and the land will be tainted for a long time, no ammount of nuclear cleanup can get rid of all the fall out, thats why white sands is still a radioactive hotspot.
United human countries
06-09-2007, 00:45
OOC; Well, NK claims they're disarming, and with Iran going nuke... the threat of a nuclear winter isn't as remote as it was in the early post cold war Earth.
Mereshka
06-09-2007, 00:49
OOC: Claiming and acting are two seperate things.
United human countries
06-09-2007, 00:52
OOC; Does anyoen think they really will, or are they just using it to get the whole "Look at me, look at me!" That Kim Jong-Il craves?
Ruthless Slaughter
06-09-2007, 00:55
Believe me when I say I realize how serious fallout is. Correct me if I'm wrong but they're still sorting out cases of lukemia (sorry if it's misspelled) from Japan. I've seen autopsy photos of the blast seared into the retinas of a corpse. The pupils are totally burned away and all you can see is the mushroom cloud. He was miles away.
On the note of Iran, they wouldn't dare try anything. They certainly can't reach us and their agenda doesn't involve nuclear war. Most likely a scare tactic or negotiating tool.
Mereshka
06-09-2007, 01:00
OOC: Indeed. I'm goiung to start up mission five now folks.
United human countries
06-09-2007, 01:07
OOC: All right. And the bombing of japan shows the true colors of the US, that they would go to extreme odds to stop an endless slaughter. 9Which WW II would've become if the X day plan had gone through, and a note, X day would've been the invasion of mainland japan.)
Shenyang
06-09-2007, 01:09
Don't forget the cancer rates, and mutations caused by Chernobyl, the damage caused by 3 Mile Island, and to a lesser extent, the fictionalized accounts in 'The Hills Have Eyes'. Even though that's 99.9% Hollywood crap.

06-09-2007, 01:09

OOC: Mission four up. And by the way, most people think that the US is a god-blessd country, but my personal opinion is that it saterted out with the right idea, but has become just as or more corrupt then other countries.

I kind of agree with you there, when the US was in its imperialist age, thats when it was at its greatest, it had a fairness and never conquered the territories it controlled, they seccded themselves to the US.
