The Split [ATTN: Wanderjar]

Senate Floor
" This is unacceptable! Completely and totally unacceptable!" Screamed a fat, balding man, Senator Johnson, he was livid, with his fat face burning red with rage, and spit flying from his mouth and nostrils. " I demand action! To think that one of our greatest allies, co-founder of The New Prussian Empire, should DARE to start a COMMUNIST alliance. It is obvious to me, ladies and gentlemen, that these evil bastards have corrupted our friend. Why should we allow this, why should we we stand by! We shouldn't ladies and gentlemen. With this bill, H.R. 216, I intend to force Wanderjar to explain their actions! They MUST withdraw from this Soviet Commonwealth!" With that, he left from the podium, raucous applause filled the chamber. Already, from the Nationalist side of the aisle, chats of approval rose.
"WANDERJAR'S HEAD, WANDERJAR'S HEAD, WANDERJAR'S HEAD."
Finally, order was regained. Senator after senator voiced approval for the bill, which would force Wanderjar to withdraw from the Soviet Commonwealth, or face consequences that were to be defined with a future vote. The senators waited to see the votes, and finally they came down.
FOR: 470
AGANIST: 30

So it was done. The bill, with its conditions, had been passed. It now went to the president for his signature or veto.

The Leafanistani Government voices concern about the volitility of the situation but supports The People's Freedom for forcing Wanderjar from the Soviet Commonwealth. Communism in all its soft and hard forms is ultimately damaging to society as a whole and devastating to the economy and people.

Official Statement

Apparently, both the TPF'ian and Leafanistani goverments have not taken the required time to read and understand the statutes of the Soviet Commonwealth, which has, in fact, no term or rule stating the need to "spread communism" or force it unto other people.

Even further, capitalist nations are allowed to join, and the name "Soviet Commonwealth" was chosen because both the Wanderjarians and us thought it sounded nice.

President Matt Booch was embattled. He was being pressured from all sides, and with election year coming up, he could not afford to ignore them. Booch couldn't understand why Wanderjar had gone and did what they did, before even consulting TPF about it or the NPE has a whole. It was evident to many of the leaders of the country that Wanderjar had betrayed TPF, and it was clear that even before that they had effectively taken control of the NPE. Booch himself was mad about it, finding it fucking ridiculous that after all the hard work TPF had put into it that it had been taken over such as it did. Booch himself was angry about it, so he wans't inclined to help Wanderjar at all, and things were getting worse by the minute. Mobilization orders had been flying through his signatures. The vast amount of men that was suppose to be going towards the Corporate Alliance was now heading up to the border between TPF and Wanderjar. The supposed unity they had shown by forming The New Prussian Empire had been shattered by Wanderjar's actions, and now the populace wanted revenge. However, Booch didn't want to be a traitor. He knew full well that most of the NPE would see it as the ultimate betrayal if TPF were to go to war against Wanderjar and forget the war against the CA. But the fact of the matter was that this was what was going to happen, despite Booch's pleas to the contrary. The war could last months, even years, against an enemy which shouldn't be an enemy. But the fact of the matter was was that it was now effectively out of Booch's hands. Mosley, the radical bastard, had his party in control of the Senate, and Booch, a conservative president, would need their favor to win elections again this year. In the end, he had no choice. He signed the bill. Either they withdrew, or it would be war.

NEWS FLASH: BILL HR 216 Signed into Law.

Presidential Speech
" Good Evening. Today, on the Senate floor, a bill was passed. This bill is called H.R. 216 and requires Wanderjar to pull out of the Soviet Commonwealth or face the consequences. As President of The Holy Reich of The Peoples Freedom, I am here to call upon the Reich of Wanderjar to withdraw from the alliance is forty-eight hours. We urge the nation of Wanderjar to respect their oldest allies' wishes-." Booch never got that far. There was a bright, red flash, and and television sets across the country went to static. A few minutes later, it cut to the emergency transmission system. There was a war. But it wasn't the war everyone had been expecting. It was a war between each other. The country was fracturing. A great nuclear fireball had consumed The Peoples Freedom City, and the military was fighting each other. Whatever side would win would choose the fate of the nation.

President Aszenmil had been watching the broadcast attentively, after all, if The PeoplesFreedom ended up declaring war to Wanderjar, they would need to get involved.

However, he hadnt been expecting such an... occurence as a nuclear weapon going off in the TPF'ian capitol.

Immediatly, he sent a message:

From the Desk of Lord Militant General Guderian
Hello. My name is Lord Militant General Guderian, leader of the Prussian Defense Forces, who are fighting to prevent war on Wanderjar. We are outnumbered and outgunned, and require assitance. Even now, our enemy is crossing into Wanderjar. They are still invading. There is little I can do to stop them now. I am trying to rally and secure as many bases, arms depots, and men as I can. Send help. This is going to be a nasty war.

"We still have the Special Forces there, right?"

"Yes, their mission was cancelled due to lack of Intel"

"Well, have them assist this Guderian fellow, get them some intel and a good map of the country, you know the drill"

"Yes sir"

At the Border
Lord General Wilhelm Fuchs observed the legions of tanks at his command. They were about to cross into Wanderjar, to finally kill the traitorous bastards. He looked down at his holographic command table, which was showing his men and vehicles moving out. He soon gave orders to the thousands of Lions awaiting their orders. Grinning, he gave them the order to fire, and over four thousands guns began to roar. their main ETC cannons roared, and the rocket-assisted projectiles soared forward, hitting targets at over thirty kilometers away. Meanwhile, the Panther main battle tanks moved forward, thousands of them, all ready to fight. It was a glorious sight, all the cogs of the war machine turning in unison.
But not all was going to plan. Back home, the capitol had been nuked, and a civil war was brewing. Fuchs knew that his inner command was loyal to the mission, but he didn't want the basic grunt to know anything about it. It would be a hard mission, but Molkte who had witnessed the purges, thought it was needed. And Fuchs was not going to go against Molkte, especially when he agreed with him. He knew he was going against a tough enemy, as he had worked with the Wanderjarian Officer Corps before, but while it would be a tough mission, it would not be impossible. And if things got really bad... there was a contingency for that, as well. So Fuchs relaxed, for now. It was time to see what the enemy would respond with. With their homeland in Nova Europa under attack, it shouldn't be to much of a problem. Victory would be theirs.

The Soviet Special Forces sent to assist the TPF'ians had been taken by surprise by the nuclear attack on the capitol, none of them were there of course, but none of them expected this Civil War to go like this.

Still, they had orders to find and assist this Guderian fellow, blow shit up, assasinate officers, the usual.

But first, they would pay a small visit to the nearest Anti-Wanderjarian base, there was one near the capitol, only a few kilometres away, but still sufficiently away not to get destroyed by the nuke.

So, they awaited for the night.

OOC: Actually, it's not Democracy vs. Dictatorship (Communism can be a democracy too), as both Moltke and Guderian are pro-capitalist christians, it's only a matter of pro or anti Wanderjar.

A Marine special forces team operating out of Kampfers was currently flying over TPF in a C130J that was guarded by two TF 70s. They were looking for a spot to land where they could aid Lord Militant General Guderian and his forces. Finally OBSAT triangulated the army's position and all twelve Marines parachuted out of the plane.

Fuhrer Rommel got word of the Civil war in TPF and was so taken with shock he could barly speak. Once he regained his composure he issued the order for final mobilization and a massive supply program. As if war with the CA wasnt enough, now he had this to deal with. He go on the phone and made a call to the man he would be sending on this mission.

"Yes Fuhrer?" Air Marshall Udet said answering the call.

"Get ready to leave. Im sending Luftflotte IV, V, and VI to help Lord General Guderian in his conflict." The Fuhrer hung up the phone as the 300 aircraft began to scramble. Order would need to be restored here before anything else could be done. He knew the Shakal would be even more worried, occupying the island just south of TPF they would not like this at all. He looked out the window at the aircraft as they took to the sky. Some 180 F/A-22, 70 Su-47, and 50 X-02 would take off towards Shakal airbases to refuel before heading to help Guderian.

War Office Briefing Room, Palace of the Revolution Underground Bunker Annex; Tailville DR, Wagdog
Staring at the large flat-wallscreen maps above, currently set to display Wagdog's local situation within Lazarus, not unduly far from Corporate Alliance member Undershi inconveniently-enough even if also close to its own sworn ally Vetaka's new lands, as well displaying as the battle against Undershi currently raging off Kampfers in the far north of the New Prussian Empire, General Secretary Charles Lind had to wrap even his often cynical and Machiavellian mind around the situation happening now. "Tell me again please, Lady Tíliel, just so we're absolutely clear on this. You're saying that the Holy Reich of The People's Freedom has collapsed into civil war, even as one faction in that war is simultaneously waging war against The Reich of Wanderjar?" Lind's mind wracked to think of wars that could could remotely seem stranger, albeit considering the indisputable facts Wagdog's intelligence machine had duly reported. Yes, even considering Wanderjar's recent political shifts away from TPF and towards the socialist side among their wide and ideologiocally-diverse circle of international friends; a move which Wagdog had expected to anger the presumably-late President Bootch's government to no small degree, and been proven right to expect.

"You have the situation in full, Comrade General Secretary." Lady Uralia Tíliel nós Kharlir, the elven Acting Secretary of State in charge of Wagdog's civilian foreign intelligence, murmured deferently. "So far, the New Prussian Empire appears to be supporting the pro-peace faction, under Lord Militant General Guderian, and the situation is delicate even if favorable to our certain policy in the matter." In tune with her culture, she put as much dignity on Guderian's title as on Charles Lind's. And no, he didn't mind; having a traditional voice in government, even an avowedly revolutionary one like Wagdog's, was exactly the point in having the Greenwood Coalition party, that the Elves dominated politically despite a human-majority membership like all other Wagdian parties, around.

"Well sir, I should hope our plans would be obvious yes?" Defense Secretary Mario Iliescu knew that this was too important, nay critical a situation to fumble with the war against the Corporate Alliance still ongoing. Unity on the friendly side had to be restored; NOW. "We can send a great deal, but contacting our allies while preparing would be advisable of course." The dapper vampire had no doubt the routine OBSAT surveillance of the area could be strengthened if needed, though that might be premature given uncertainty regarding the rebels' ASAT capabilities as yet. "Your decisions?"

"Simple." Charles knew there was really only one option. "Ready forces to aid Wanderjar and Lord General Guderian both; specials at first, so we don't overstep ourselves given the New Prussian Empire aid arriving." Ideally, this should bear as 'in-house' a stamp as possible; especially with Wagdian-TPF relations being as distant and per-necessity as they were yet. No sense in branding Guderian a sellout before the enemy was even sweating enough to go there yet, now.

Both elf and vampire agreed. "As you wish." They departed to issue the required orders, no machine of government ever being immediate in motion considering the sheer, stupefying inertia that large organizations inevitably possess...

Military Bases Across Wagdog...
Although air transports from around the nation would soon be gearing up for hauling whatever force commitments would be made to the TPF theater, for now it was a logistical matter. In particular, Il-76MD medium transports were rigging for paratrooper carriage so that mass-airdrops of Rangers could begin if so required. However, no sense in being premature here, so even as those planes and rangers and more readied a message was dispatched to Wanderjar first...

High Field Marschall Mannstein was now effectivly in charge of the Shakal Empire until the Empress and his counterpart returned from the meeting in Derecon. Now he decided it was time to send some aid to Lord General Guderian, the 7th Fallschrimmjaegar Division would be making an aerial insertion into TPF lands to assist the Lord General. General Von Bock would lead them once they arrived. There mission was to join with Guderians men. Now Mannstein needed to compose a letter. The entire division was loaded onto transports and would land and reform before resuming to the front.

Ny night-fall, the small, twelve men team was right outside the base's perimeter, Alpha Leader rallied his squad to brief them on the mission at hand, and hand out the assignments.

They were all dressed with their Combat Suits, designed by and for the Wanderjarian GSG-9, one of the most elite forces in the world, and most of them sported Aequatian designed weapons, as well as the Doomingslani pistols and sub-machine guns.

He opened a folder containing satellital photos of the base, as well as assorted maps, and showed them to the people under his command.

New Prussian Defense Force HQ
Lord Militant General Guderian hated this entire fucked up situation. He hadn’t wanted to start the war, but Molkte had left him little choice, and same with the politicians he had once though were his friends. It’s not like he liked the commies either, or even Wanderjar, after what they did, but starting a war that would cost millions of lives also didn’t seem like a good solution to Guderian. Luckily, many other officers had thought that way, and despite Guderian’s reluctance, he was drawn into a conspiracy. Guderian really didn’t think it was anything other than treason, but he had little choice. Despite this, the task in front of him was daunting. He was severely outnumbered and outgunned, and even with his superior tactical skills, numbers were hard to ignore. Now, he had to figure out his next move. His numbers were small, so he had to rely on mobility and his own skills. He needed to preserve his own forces while attacking the enemy. Walking out of his tent, he greeted his aid, Brigadier General Krause. He was a capable aid, through in what he did, and a great help to Guderian, since he handled all matter logistical which could be mundane and wasted time for planning operations. Krause himself was young, barely forty, having rapidly risen in the ranks due to graduating first in his class at North Point and also having lead both airborne and panzer divisions with distinction. Krause passed him a clipboard, with a report from the recon teams and vehicles they had dispatched. Guderian had forgotten how hard it was to operate without orbital support, and the PDF had none. The reports looked good. Nearly all military forces in the area had joined with him, and local support seamed good, from a region heavily pro-Wanderjar. They could move freely in this area, at least. They arrived at Army Group Operations Tent, where there were many staffers doing their various tasks. Guderian walked up to the holographic command table, which showed a current overview of his forces. He then walked over to the map, which was computerized, and had various things changing all the time and such.
“So, the nearest enemy is in Sherwood, and they have a Corps of men, correct?”
“Yes sir that was latest intelligence we could receive via encrypted radio from our spies in that area.” Replied Krause.
“What is there to gain from securing that area?”
“More local support possibly, a few arms depot in that region. A friendly harbor.”
“Even though the navy is, for the most part, on the enemy side.”
“Unfortunately so, Lord Militant General.”
“Alright. Tomorrow we will move out and engage these forces. We’ll secure the civilian airports in the area so our allies can airlift some supplies and men in, heavily escorted, of course.”
“Yes sir. I’ll begin to draft the orders.”

Yawning, Private Joseph Eli awoke from his sleep, the whole four hours of it. Most of the night he had been awake, being sentry for the army in his area. Now, he and his squad were getting up and getting ready to ship out. He didn’t think too much of the situation, but he did like Wanderjar, his grandfather having lived there for nearly twenty years, and Joseph himself had went to school there for a year. They were heading to the region of Sherwood, one of the only places in TPF that had forests and woods.
“Get your ass moving, Eli. We don’t got all day to wait for your bum.”
“Sure, Sarge.” So Joseph began to double-time it.” He quickly made sure he had all his gear and personal effects, and then followed his squad out to the waiting vehicles. Then, they were called to company formation, which was rather annoying considering the sweltering hear that occupied this region. Even so, he stood their at full attention, as the company commander, a Captain Lineart, prepared to give information or some sort of pep talk.
“ Men of Bravo Company, today we are going to move out to the Sherwood region. Battalion has told me to expect combat, so I’ll give that same respect to you. Expect combat. I don’t need to tell you how brave you men are for serving us, and Lord Militant General Guderian, but I do assure you that we are doing the right thing. Together, with the help of God, we shall prevail and crush our foes. Your platoon commanders will give you more information if needed. Dismissed.” He issued a salute which was gracefully and promptly returned. It wasn’t an impressive speech, but then again Lineart wasn’t good at giving good speeches, but he was good at commanding men, and that was good enough for them. Eli jumped into the back of the Wolf IFV. He wasn’t looking forward to the six hour drive in it, even with is comforts, nobody wanted to be in a armored vehicle in one hundred ten degree weather.
“I bet you the water tanks and our canteens will be dry within the hour.” Said Eli.
“And how much do you want to bet, Joe?” asked Specialist Murphy.
“I don’t know, maybe fifty credits.”
“You’re on.”
Joseph won the bet.

"Jesus!" The commanding officer looked over.

"What?"

"Sir, our satellites report a nuclear detonation in The Peoples Freedom!" At that moment, the imposing figure of Lord General Kruchina Drakonov, the Overseer of the NMCC, stood beside the commander.

"Any more information?" was the comment, in the heavy bass voice of the Overseer. The young sergeant shook his head.

"No, Lord General. Not from strategic." The Lord General nodded, turning to the commander.

"Set to RTFN priority." The commander saluted.

"Immediately, sir." The commanding officer rushed over to his console and input the proper codes to upgrade the status of the new situation, and immediately, on one of the many situation holodisplays, the information detailing the invasions and the civil war appeared. After reading it closely, he immediately picked up the hotline to the Kremlin.
