Head of state: HRH Prince Mathias [many titles down to smallest holding goes here]
system of government: Primarily Feudal, Constitutional Monarchy.
capital: Columbus, Capitalia Holding.
currency: Gold Crown [sub divided into 20 Silver Crowns, each further subdivided into 20 Bits. 1 Bit will generally get one a decent meal.]
population: 5,220,300 as of last census.

Ceder Rapids Holding [north east border to the town of Newton]

Mississippi Holding [from Fredericktown to the southern border, from the eastern border to little rock]
Ozark Holding [from the Lake of the Ozarks to the Heber springs.]
El Dorado Holding [from Ozark Holding to the southern border, from Mississippi holding to the western border.]

each Holding is a constitutional monarchy of sorts in it's own right, presided over by a Title Holder. each is further subdivided into a number of counties.

honourifics:
Sir/Ma'am: a knight or a 'commissioned' officer in the armed forces who is not specifically entitled to other honorifics.
Lord/Lady: a Title Holder or Count.
Highness: the Prince [or Princess, should such an unlikely situation ever arise]
Sirah/Wench: an inferior, generally one who is causing annoyance, offense, or anger.
Master/Mistress: a superior not entitled to other honorifics, or an unknown.
Mister/Missus: an equal not entitled to other other honorifics, an honored inferior, social rank wise.

Military:

uniforms:
predominantly of dark green and gray for the army, dark blue and gray for the air forces. rank, unit, etc designated by shoulder and thigh patches. officer uniforms distinguished generally only by rank tabs.

holdings are required to, on request from the prince, field a given force. this quantity is lower in harvest times and the like and higher in the 'quieter' times of year. generally the Title Holders meet this primarily by calling on the counts through similar arrangements for foot soldiers and fighters, providing heavier equipment such as armored cars and combat airships themselves. the prince controls Capitalia Holding directly, so it's exact contribution to any given war varies significantly based on requirements.

mostly raised as needed and organized as desired by their commanders, the Angerman military is not exactly a modern war machine in terms of organizational structure, however new tactics, doctrine, and equipment are readily absorbed, as are mercenary units. anyone who can raise a troops and is willing to take orders can become at least a low ranking officer, however banditry is Not tolerated and units are only payed when sent into combat or actually stationed guarding somewhere, as a result, most have secondary jobs.

predominant unit types include: Mounted Rifles. armored cars. towed artillery [truck or horse, variously, including AA, AT and AP]. regular infantry. Airborne Assult Troops [includes paras but also less... orthodox... concepts], fighters [various sized units of assorted makes] CAS bombers [see fighters] Tac bombers [see fighters] and airships [assorted]

also to be found, though far less common, are helicopters [AKA omnithroptors(sp)], infantry support tanks, armored self propelled guns, siege artillery [assorted], military police, combat rolling stock, privateers, timber clad river ships, amphibious units, as well as various fixed point defense AA, AT, AP, and AS weapons.

Significant Entities:

Aviana Corp: Founded by Michell de Aviana, originally manufacturing railway and factory components. these days is a major manufacturer of aircraft, aircraft parts, engines, airships, cars, and numerous other things of that nature, as well as it's original products. holds a corporate operating charter from the prince.
current majority shareholder and CEO: Alexander de Aviana

Capitalia Air: owned by the prince directly, and run by a board of directed headed by one Walter Smith, Capitalia air provides cargo and passenger shipping within the principality for all who do not have/use their own craft. costs vary depending on a number of factors. Capitalia air run the majority of airports [including the large St Lewis, Kansas City, and Columbia airports] and all customs duties in All airports within the principality.

Law Enforcement division: the principality's 'police'. exactly who they're answerable to varies, but their primary responsibility is the law as written. includes:
sherifs: in charge of legal enforcement within a shire, centered around a town.
constables: beat cops, don't carry guns, but watch out for their night-sticks
Customs Guards: generally carry night-sticks, and pistols, but have ready access to ... heavier... ordinance as well for emergency situations.
Air marshals: police in planes. usually white lightning or blue jay variants.
Special Combat Units: filling roles from Swat to Military Police, these are the guys with the big guns, and are often also part of the local militia or 'regular' army.

Law:

while for most intents and purposes the prince dictates law in all forms as he sees fit, the principality does have a constitution, which is effectively inviolable. any additions require approval by the prince, ratification by ALL Title Holders, and a 2/3rds majority in a popular vote to pass. a recursive entrenchment clause makes it illegal to remove elements of the constitution.

the principality is a great believer in the 'one rule and law for all men' concept, despite it's stratified society. this has some interesting results. for example: there are not separate 'white' and 'colored' public facilitates in place. among other things this would be inefficient. on the other hand, an employer may refuse to hire anyone they like on any basis, from qualifications, to skin colour, eye colour, having bad breath, or just being annoying. the general attitude amounts to "be as bigoted as you like, about what ever you like, people are still people." so, while the law does not specifically prohibit discrimination, it also does not discriminate.

it should be noted that indentured servitude [for the paying of debts] and hard labour [as a criminal punishment] are both reasonably common place in the principality.

legally, age of consent is listed as "day of marriage", which for a woman can not be before her 16th birthday, cannot be without her own consent, and cannot be without her parents permission, while for a man cannot be before his 21st birthday, or without his consent. note that consent must not be given under duress, and marriages are annulled if any of these conditions are violated.

infrastructure:
once it was realized how difficult it was to protect railways from the air, and noted that cost to speed to quantity railways were still more suitable for cargo transport than airships, the prince ordered construction of a new rail system, connecting, at the very least, major and capital cities.
the new system was to be built underground [not sure what fuel it'll use yet] for protection from the air, and as each section is completed the corresponding above ground equivalent [if any] was to be ripped up and used as raw materials for the next, where possible, or scrapped for other uses if not.

so far, the St Louis-Columbia-Kansas City line is complete. north/south lines to link Capitalia Holding with the other Holdings, initially their capitals, then their borders and other major points, are under construction, but at this time have not yet been completed to the edges of Capitalia Holding, let alone their ultimate destinations. these lines are also intended to completely replace the high ways along those routs.

Major External Trade Routs [excludes minor or irregular cargoes on listed routs]:
The Central Provincial Republic of Loneque, assorted food products > > oil.

that's all I've got for now.
