History and Politics

The Corporate Council Explained:

The Corporate Council is what many class as the group of rulers of the CSA. The Premier of the Council and his Elite Five (usually the five richest or his closest friends) choose who is allowed on the Council along with a general vote, and there are currently around 41 members. They have the money - you have to be a powerful networker with a Fortune 500 company under your belt to qualify for this board of the elite. In fact, you must have a fortune in the hundreds of millions to even be allowed into the Headquarters of the Council (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/db/UN_building.jpg) and on the Council itself. These are some of the richest in America, and they discuss all issues, from taxes to war, and give their opinion to the Provisional Government. The Government knows the Council have the power to destroy them and merely use them as a way of being democratic, so they always follow there commands.

Corporate Council

The Corporate Council (explanation as to what they are above) is effectively the main power group in the CSA. They are like this because they control the economy and bribe the public services, plus maintain good relations with the only real challengers to their power, the Mafia (the Red Coats especially). They are a collective of the richest and basically rule New York City, and have immense influence and power over other areas. If you mess with the Corporate Council, you mess with the whole of the Corporate States.

The Provisional Government

Mass protests began in 1989 demanding a more liberal, free and less capitalist rule over the state. The people were confused, saying that they did not know who ruled them, but feared that the Corporations and criminals unjustly held the power. The Corporations and Mafia at first responded badly – all protesters where sacked from there jobs, and nearly two hundred hits were carried out against the organizers. But, after international protest, in 1994 a provisional government, to be democratically elected, was established. It has had three Presidents so far, all of which have failed to root out the influence of the Corporations, and effectively have been made puppets of them.

The Mafia

Aside from the provisional government and the Corporate Council, other people in power are in the criminal underworld. The Corporate folks hate the seedy gangsters that dominate New York and create rackets stealing business, and so for many years in what people called the New York Civil War (1910 – 1960) which for fifty years the ruling Corporate heads, especially the infamous and ruthless anti-Mafia Premier George Ransack (Premier from 1934 – 1948), who’s parents were killed by a mob, fought and tried to remove the Mafia’s power.

It failed, and the current Don Marlon Brannon, controller of some seventy percent of the criminal underworld, who has ruled the Red Coat Mafia’ since the late 70’s, now grudgingly co-operates with the corporations in order to stamp out the government and further both their economical interests. The Mafia is regularly used for hits and money making, in exchange for riches, or different favours (such as the fact that Italian was made an semi-official language by Premier Harry Truman (1981 – 1985) in exchange for the murder of the man who had an affair with his wife.) The Red Coats main rivals have all been destroyed and made bankrupt by the Corporations and Red Coats, so no other Mafia, Triad or other group holds more than a 4% share in the criminal underworld.

Notes: When addressing a letter to my country, you have to address it to the right people. The men with the real power are the Corporate Council and the Mafia, so if you wish to trade, purchase or really conduct any non-governmental workings these are the men you must contact as they have a monopoly over the public services and the economy. If you wish for an embassy or an alliance/pact etc. contact the Provisional Government, who were made to stop the Corporations ruling but basically are dominated by the Corporations, as they have control over governmental stuff and the military. However, if the Corporations or Mafia don’t like you then the government won’t either - they have so much power that they basically are the government.

We fail to understand free here in Corporation land. So please, tell us of what your nation has that the great CSA and city of New York don't.
