Terranism Declared Official Religion of Nova Pictavia

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/Retro_1989/EARTH.jpg

As the Terranist Church within Nova Pictavia reaches an unprecedented new height, Terranism was today declared the official religion of the commonwealth by parliament. The estimated Terranist population of Nova Pictavia now exceeds some 270 Million Picts in Hiigara alone.

As the movement was declared by the first minister, Galan Mckay, a crowd which had assembled outside the New Pictish Parliament cheered and began celebrations. Prior to a tremendous fireworks display, a truly inspiring speech
was delivered by the first minister:

"We have suffered for the past century to find our identity, our home, and our liberty. Today, we have found religion. We were bound together not out of politics, but out of blood. And most importantly, out of our love for our homeland, Hiigara, a place where many Picts have been absent from for too long. The call of Holy Terra is upon us. Children of Hiigara, NOW IS OUR TIME!"

Nova Pictavia has seen a frightening volume of economic growth in the last ten years, with a vast quantity of funding being attributed towards defense. Soldiers serving within the NPAF will now don an image of Holy Terra alongside the saltire. Many have already began to associate the military build-up with the growing concern of foreign powers' lack of respect for the environment.

On an international scale, it is confirmed that Parliament has contacted Terranist and Green nations worldwide in a call for solitude and mutual respect for the earth. The new bond between eco-friendly and Terranist nations has already been dubbed The Utopian Commonwealth.

Dr. Jules Hodz sat with his superior, Daniel Heusen, at Heusen's desk. Heusen was casually perusing the paper, and came upon the article about Terranism.

"This... religion or philosophy. Is it any threat?" he asked Hodz.

"Not for now, we think."

"It says they've greatly increased defense spending, though." Heusen pointed out, somewhat worried.

"Perhaps that's what it's for - defense. There's no way to know for sure, and they probably wouldn't give us a straight answer about it if we asked them. Just let it blow over, as it likely will."

"All right." Heusen said, with visible resignation. "I'm keeping my eye on them, though."

In the skies above Nova Pictavia, the spy satellite Heusen's Eye changed its trajectory to observe the commonwealth.

Official Communiqué

To all nations of the world,

Today, all our efforts to preserve the environment will be in vain, if we cannot protect earth from those beyond our shores. Corporative powers continue to poison Holy Terra in the name of wealth and power, while we strive to keep our footprints minimal. Your footprints, however, will echo in the dust of time, as those who cultivated the cancer which is killing Holy Terra at this very moment.

To all green nations, to all Terranists worldwide:
-We appeal for you to stand alongside in a show of solitude; We ask for the formation of a Utopian Commonwealth. We will not let the greedy take our home from us.

To all nations who continue to pollute the earth:
-Your time has come. Terranism is the only path to life. We will fight for our right to survive.

It wasn't long before the Terranist motion in Nova Pictavia had its affect on Akodai. Quite a few devout shinto followers joined together to form the "Terranist Sect of Akodai". Their first action was a demonstration in the streets of the capital city Shikudatsu, not far from the Imperial Palace. It was not long before they caught the eye of the emperor.

"What an extreme religious group," Kaozu Tsugaishi pondered during a meeting of the court. "Oh well, I suppose you have to take the not-so-calm with the harmless."

"Ahem, my lord? I'm not sure that's exactly how the saying goes," one of his aides answered.

"Really? Hmm," the aged monarch sighed, unconcerned with much else than his peoples' reaction to this new movement. "I suppose it can be accepted. After all, they do support keeping the planet in good health." He continued with the court's daily proceedings, but felt that the Terranists would soon be the cause of quite a bit of trouble.

"I'm concerned, Consul, about this development in Nova Pictavia," Foreign Affairs Minister Cecilia Belladini said gravely. "This Terranist Church seems little more than a cult - a highly dangerous one at that." She withdrew a thin, blue and white folder from her portfolio, sliding it across the polished black surface of the conference table. Sir Alistair opened it, skimming its contents as Cecilia continued. "Our embassy in Inverness reports unprecedented amount of nationalistic fervor and religious intolerance."

"I concur, sir," Ginevra Vauxhall, the Minister of Intelligence stated. "Our assets in the nation report increasing hostility towards non-Terranists. As a primarily atheistic nation, British Londinium could be an enticing target."

"I see," Sir Alistair Davidson replied, his voice crisp and imperious. "I understand that Mr Crompton has devised a military solution to this situation."

"Yes, sir, you are correct," War Minister Elliot Crompton replied swiftly. The lights began to dim, and a hologram of the Hiigaran Isles appeared over the table. Soon, representations of Londinian military forces flickered into existence, moving as if they were responding to Elliot's narration. "The Ministry of War, as you all are quite aware, has invasion strategies for the majority of nations we interact with. The best way, I feel, to crush both the Terranists and the Pictavian armed forces is to utilize the time-honoured strategies of blitzkrieg and shock-and-awe. This particular strategy, termed 'Operation Azazian Pomposity', begins with the utilization of our naval assets to bombard coastal defences near Inverness, and our air forces to conduct a highly concentrated bombing campaign against military installations and government facilities, in addition to Terranist religious structures. Soon after, several legions will storm the city, raise the Standard, and progress north towards Stirling."

"Quite well thought out," Sir Alistair said blandly. "But it would be imprudent to implement Operation Azazian Pomposity at this juncture. For now, I want constant satellite surveillance of any nation that has a significant Terranist presence. Ms Vauxhall, I expect more of your agents to be infiltrating Nova Pictavia. Possibly a few could join this movement to see how it operates."

The two ministers quickly nodded their heads, signifying their compliance.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, my daughter requires my immediate presence," Sir Alistair said as he stood up. "If any further developments arise, I want to be the first to know."

Kobayashi Maribu, head of the Board of Directors of the Dyparaxa Research Corporation, was sitting at the head of a mostly-empty boardroom table at the moment. He appeared to be in his early fourties, and was wearing an exceptionally-tailored gray suit. There were three other men in the room, all sitting near the head of the mahogany table. The first was in his fifties and partially bald, also wearing a well-made suit. Beside him sat a far younger man, apparently in his thirties. He was glancing continually between a PDA in his hands and some notes lying on the table, obviously deep in thought. Across from the older man, at Maribu's right, sat a man in his late twenties clad in a slightly dishevelled brown trenchcoat. While everyone else in the room seemed to be focused exclusively upon their notes and various electronic devices, he was looking at nothing save the walls and ceiling as he spun about in his chair.

Abruptly the youngest man spoke. "So, anything that direly demands our attention?" The man across from him started a bit when he first spoke, a scowl coming across his face before he responded. "Nothing that requires your skillset...or interuptions, Carter." Carter laughed softly while the man opposite him returned to the documents in front of him. The individual adjacent to the man who'd just spoke looked up from his items for a moment before calmly stating "Well, it seems some more crackpot zealots have decided to get political. Seems like they're some kind of radical pagan-hippy mix. Can't be good. Except for the environment, of course." Maribu spoke up without removing his gaze from the papers before him. "Well, Drumm, keep an eye on it, at least. Hopefully this situation won't destabilize like the last religious uprising we had to deal with. Just make sure nothing too...violent occurs." Drumm fiddled with his PDA for a moment before responding. "Will do. I'll inform you if anything terribly important happens."

The Letter was received. The Issue would be dealt with...

05:00 this morning:
One hundred glider were being geared up, along with an escort of two hundred P51D Mustangs. Most of the glider would be decoys, along with the P51's, but their compartments would be deadly. Though few in number, seven hundred Buddhist Samurai troops were in several of these gliders, waiting to land and wreak havoc. Not to mention, orbital satellites equipped with Tungsten Rods were orbiting the nation, fifteen to be exact, launching ninety of their rods at Novan air bases, majority of which were at the run way. It would be nearly impossible for any of their semi-advanced planes to fly after the attack.

Letter to the Novan President

Our people demand that you stop this crusade. We will simply send peace keeping forces so that none of this 'crusading' happens again. We repeat, we do not wish any harm to anyone, that is why, for the greater good, you must surrender. All we ask is that you allow an international peace keeping force be allowed to stay in your nation. To save the lives of the world, and yourselves.

We order that you cease your attack immediately. Your unholy nation continues to poison the earth, and in turn poison our people. We demand that an official apology be released by your government, alongside full reparations for the damage to NPAF structures during your attack.

Perhaps you would like to see the faces of the 33 NPAF personnel killed in your foolish attack? Or maybe you would prefer to see the children poisoned by the acid rain caused by your nation's arrogance?

You are now at a De Facto state of war with the Commonwealth of Nova Pictavia, the Combined Heart Alliance and the Utopian Commonwealth.

High Commander Rousse paused for a moment, the attack had literally came out of nowhere, with no warning. His homeland was under attack, and he was damn-well going to save her.

"Lieutenant, get me strategic missile defense, order them to fire at will at those weapons platforms!"

It was the beginning of the end, feared Rousse...

“Mr. Grand Arbiter,” the Arch Domestic Relations Advisor, Jerry Niflet, called in the Grand Arbiter’s door, timid as usual.

“Yes, Arch Domestic Relations Advisor, what is it?” Grand Arbiter Grant Norse replied, sensing trouble, no surprise after the last few weeks’ events.

“Well, sir, I sat down to watch the FEIWBC 7 o’clock news, and I saw this segment about this new religion sweeping Nova Pictavia, something called Terranism.”

“Yes, and that doesn’t tell me much.” The Grand Arbiter said, frustrated with the Arch Domestic Relations Advisor as usual.

“Oh, well Terranism works on the idea that the the Earth is holy, and should be saved.”

“Well,” the Grand Arbiter said, “It seems like just about all Far Echo Islanders are Terranists. We cirtianly belive the earth should be saved, and we have taken great measures to do so. Unlike other nations.” He said the last part with undertones of anger and frustration at the problems in Colombia City.

“Well, in some sense, yes, but these people take it to the extreme. Absolutely devout, extreme, and they believe that an island in Nova Pictavia, called Hiigara, and that they ‘We will not let the greedy take our home from us’ and with Nova Pictavia’s recent military build up, I don’t know what could happen. And it seems like Terranism, has a chance of taking off our nation.”

“In that case we only have one thing we can do at the moment.”

“And, sir, what is that?”

“Wait.” The gray haired leader finished coolly.

"War. A bloody bad thing." - Random Cnian Soldier

13:51 this evening:

The plane formation of three hundred flew into Novan airspace, just above several ports by Inverness. "Hotdog Squadron move in and attack military port to our seven o' clock." The reply was roger from the twenty-five man squad as the broke out from formation, dropping their fuel tanks. They unleashed their payload, consisting of a single bomb, and thousands of rounds from their fifty-caliber machine guns. Such a movement would make a distraction, especially since they were attempting to fire at any industrial targets, oil storage centers, ammunition depots, crew barracks, all the like.

In the skies above the satellites to pictures of the damages sending them back to the military head quarters in Buddha C. Along with this the fifteen weapons platforms had to be sent back to orbital station Delta-5 to re-arm. But another fifteen tungsten-equipped satellites orbited over the nation, waiting for their orders.

Official Reply to the Novan President and People

We are sorry it had to come to this, people of Nova Pictavia. But we promise you that the amount of blood split, and economical damage will be as limited as we possibly can. Already a group of our elite troops are preparing to seize your government and force them to stop this horrible blood shed. We will send all that you need, food, water, and the necessities as this war ends, for the are afraid your government would give them to your soldiers, so that they may spill blood more effectively.

Ministry of War
Kensington, People's Sovereign Republic

Minister of War Elliot Crompton walked slowly around the command and control centre of the War Ministry, inspecting every detail of the chamber he had worked in for the past five years. Typical of Londinian government buildings, the room was palatial to say the least. The walls, where epic engravings of historic battles were not carved into the polished redwood, were bedecked with elegant, curved plasma computer screens. The largest one at the front of the room, showed a rather austere map of Nova Pictavia, the focus of the Ministry's latest planning efforts. Already, the appropriate military forces were stationed just outside Pictavian territorial waters - they simply needed the order to proceed with Operation Azazian Pomposity.

"Sir," asked a young, attractive Air Force technical sergeant said, interrupting Elliot's reverie. "Mr Davidson just called. Should I pass on his message?"

Her words floated past Elliot, as he was terribly distracted by the rather short sky blue skirt she was wearing. "Come again?"

"The Consul called, Minister," the sergeant said softly. "He wished to inform you that Defence Condition One was to be imposed, and that Operation Azazian Pomposity is a go."

"Thank you, Technical Sergeant," Elliot said. "Dismissed."

Outside Pictavian Territorial Waters

The massive Londinian naval force sat peacefully, like a resting tiger, riding the cerulean waves, yet heading nowhere. But an encoded radio transmission from the War Ministry changed all of that. The armada, in addition to nearly seven hundred thousand Army soldiers, sailed forth towards Inverness. The regular Londinian flag was lowered, replaced by the wartime Naval Jack. A terse signal was broadcast to the Pictavian authorities.

Attention Pictavian Government:

This is the 13th Fleet, inbound to Inverness. We are aware of the Cnian attack.
We will be fortifying and securing your capital to ensure the protection of Nova Pictavia. Requesting permission to land.

The Air Sirens of Inverness broke the calm that had befallen the city since the orbital bombardment...

SAM sites all across the military docks opened fire at the airborne invaders while as many F-22's in the area surrounding Inverness were scrambled as possible.

It was a mistake to initiate such an assault on the Capitol with so much of the NPAF infrastructure intact. Two 'CARTHAGE CLASS AIR DEFENSE CRUISER's which had been waiting as part of the seventh and eighth fleets opened fire with their GK-22 and GK-26 anti-air suites, igniting the sky in a million smoke-trails.

A meager 70 F-22's were eventually scrambled to the scene, but they had the home advantage. And right now the home advantage meant a firestorm of missiles coming from the ground and sea.

Meanwhile garrisons around Inverness, Stilring, Rothesay and Utopia Hiigara were strengthened as the full military might of the NPAF slowly became visible. Some 1,400,000 soldiers were now willing to die for their faith, and they had the best support and equipment money could buy...

******

The Londinian Broadcast was intercepted by radio operators in Inverness, and forwarded to the Government. Currently awaiting governmental response.

"This is commander Kilik of the Seventh BattleFleet. It's hell down here, we request that you move towards Stirling, repeat- RENDEZVOUS AT STIRLING. I will forward your message onto the NPAF Centre for Defense. Kilik out."

This was all happening so fast, Kilik didn't even know where the enemy had come from, or who exactly the enemy was...
The Londinian forces would be more than welcome however. Pictish men had fought alongside them in Sumatripte and there was a profound respect for the Londinian war-machine in Nova Pictavia.

*Click, click, click, came the echoes of polished shoes trotting down the aqua colored tiled halls of the 'Ice Box' the Grand Arbiter had left the door to his hexagonal office slightly ajar just so he could hear this sort of thing, it was a little like if you've ever been falling from great height, you know something bad is coming, but you have a vague idea of what it might be, but you don't know exactly what the sensation at the end is going to be like.*

The Arch Military Advisor Major Luke Iris, whom wasn't really experienced in this sort of thing, entered first, followed by the Sectary of Defense, Arnold Nugeen, and the Sectary of the Navy.

"Mr. Grand Arbiter," the Sectary of Defense began, "we have confirmation that a war has broken out amongst non-Terranists and Terranists. What is our course of action?"

After a short and tense pause, the Grand Arbiter began "First, get me the Sectary of State, and then we will have a short review of the peace offering I will work up within the hour. This is not only a crusade, but a war on the environment, and requires our immediate attention. Major," he addressed the Arch Military Advisor, "Monitor everything that happens in this war. Mr. Sectary of Defense, continue to brief me on who and what in involved as of now. Sectary of the Navy, redirect all ships coming home form Questers toward Nova Pictavia, and ready the rest of the fleet for a possible preemptive strike." The Grand Arbiter then booted up his computer and then MS word and began to work up a rough draft of a peace treaty as Arnold began to explain the intricateness of the war so far.

"So they think they got us 'cause there's more of em'. Time for class, ladies." - Fallen Cnian Marine Officer

14:02 this Evening:
The barrage in the sky downed seven of the retreating godrods (just void the fifteen that returned to the air base, only eight made it back.), only eight returned to the re-arming orbital base. The fifteen new orbital godrods launched another ninety of their tungsten rods at the remaining airbases. Expecting complete annihilation. Then returning to the re-arming orbital base, though another nine were shot down.

The group of a hundred planes, due to their wooden glider construction, couldn't be targeted easily, though more than half had been downed due to the sheer volley of weapons. "Land now!" The order was given and the surviving five hundred fifty samurai landed on the ground, swords drawn. Their escorts weren't so lucky. Their slow, compared, speed and metal construction downed one hundred sixty-three of them. The rest went in to attack the base, being trailed by enemy missiles and enemy F-22's. Sadly those planes probably wouldn't be able to land once they had completed their missions.

Back home three hundred Su-47 Burkuts were being launched to gain air supremacy, their payloads were mostly anti-ground targets, as by the time they got to Pictavia the enemy's planes would be done for. Along with this fifty-six Seawolf submarines were beginning their voyage to Pictavia, to disassemble the Novan fleet.

Several dozen Eurofighter Typhoons soared over the city, their metal exteriors glimmering in the mid-afternoon sunlight. Down below, the 13th Fleet formed a perimeter around the port, in an attempt to ensure that no unwanted naval traffic could reach the ports, which were swarming with the elite ground forces of the 9th and 12th Legions. "You want peace? Hell, we give you peace you'll just attack us when our back is turned. Not. Going. To. Happen." - Watton R. Frankord, Cnian Ambassador

15:04
The Samurai had landed, they were getting ready for the oncoming battle, their numbers still at five hundred fifty. They took out their M16A4's and other equipment from the gliders, they still hadn't been attacked directly, though they were just a kilometer or so from the beach. Meanwhile the P51D's were strafing the enemy's crews barracks, so that if any ships had gotten manned, they would be undermanned.

The Seawolf packs moved by the fleets at port near Iverness, moving in smoothly as the enemy fleet was still in disarray. They readied their torpedo tubes, closing in, closing in, fire. Bang, four hundred forty-eight Gould MK48 ADCAP torpedoes ran relentlessly towards the fleet at port, the damage would be.... devastating. The screams would be heard for miles, it would be disheartening to say the very least, truly it would.

Meanwhile the Su-47 Burkuts had hanged back and been refueled, waiting to move in as soon at the initial strikes had hit the enemy. And they did so, moving in at super-sonic speeds, unloading three hundred KAB-1500 of their twenty-four hundred KAB-1500 missiles. The assault would most-likely leave the Navy in-port decimated, if not eradicated.

An airborne division was being flown towards the country, seven thousand men, aimed at Inverness would be there in the morning. Be in hell... in the morning.

They have sworn to 'cleanse' the world of corporations, a kind that Buddha C does not support, but cleansing leads to death. We must stop them, peace will not halt these religious nuts. They must be forced to lay down arms and be watched by the world. Therefore we will not come, and we will keep halting this enemy.

It seems the British Londinium ships are moving in to the harbor of Inervness. The Grand Arbiter’s last order was to launch a preemptive strike if necessary, do you think this is what he meant.”

The Commodore of the 3rd Covert Submarine Armada (http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa293/The_Far_Echo_Islands/specs1.png) paused for a moment in time that seemed to hang around as a moment does sometimes, he considered his options, and made a decision. “Do you think they’ll find us if we torpedo them?”

“Not likely sir, we’re running absolutely silent, but the fireing of torpedoes might give us away...”

The Commodore's mind was made up “Fire torpedo tubes 1-3, aim at a big ship.” He smiled a wicked smile that one smiles at revenge for a long past wrong.

Admiral Thrantis looked at the sonar screen. "Are they in range yet?" he asked.
"Yes, sir," the young sailor replied. "Confirmed 47 target subs, possibly more."
"Target all tubes!" the Admiral ordered. "Prepare to fire!" He smiled to himself. After several years, he would finally get to lead his submarine fleet into battle. "Steady," he said to calm his crew. "FIRE!"
The entire Delkorian Submarine Patrol Force, 80 boats strong, opened fire with full salvos of torpedoes. Their targets happened to be the Seawolf subs that were attacking Nova Pictavia.
Flash signal to Grand Admiral Hyzy!" Thrantis ordered. "We have engaged the enemy!"

Kensington Palace
Kensington, British Londinium

"Mr Azzopardi, allow me tell you something," Sir Alistair said to his deputy consul as they strolled in the gardens of the palace, teeming with beautiful orange Humboldt lilies. "After all, you are being groomed to take over our party."

"Please, go ahead, Consul," James Azzopardi replied.

"Order is the most important quality in the world," Sir Alistair began. "Order - precise, unyielding order - is all we can fall back upon. And, thus, order must be preserved. The status quo mustn't change unless it is beneficial to the country."

"I see, sir," James replied cautiously. "Is this the rationale behind our current Pictavian deployment?"

"But of course, Mr Azzopardi," Sir Alistair replied in a vaguely patronizing way. "These...Terranists threaten everything we stand for. They threaten our very stability. Nova Pictavia is a splendid ally. I, for one, have not forgotten their help in the Sumatripte War of Independence."

"But, sir, how does this pay such assistance back? We're attacking the poor country," James stated.

"Ah, but I am doing Nova Pictavia a great favour by sparing them from this cult, as Ms Belladini put it," Sir Alistair replied with a smile. "Somehow, it wormed its way into the highest levels of Pictavian government - I shall purge it for them."

***

Outside the Pictavian Parliament

Field Marshal Virginia Alebrandi waited obediently for her orders, passing the time by sitting in one of the better foxholes, sipping Earl Grey tea from a plastic travel mug with "Santander's Bakery - Best Sourdough in all of BL!" printed in bold white letters around it.

"Ma'am, urgent communiqué from the War Ministry," one of her assistants said as he ran towards her, holding a piece of paper towards her. She grabbed it from his hands gruffly, quickly reading it before handing it back and ordering the document's immediate destruction.

"Ladies and gents," she said with a sinister smile. "Let loose the dogs of war!"

Quickly, hundreds of Londinian soldiers swarmed the Parliament building, kicking down the doors, executing anyone who stood in their way as they worked towards the office of the First Minister.

Port of Inverness

The torpedoes slammed into the hull of a nearby La Fayette-class stealth frigate. Sailors quickly dived into the waters as the craft slowly sank into the depths. But the CFEI submarine was now visible on sonar, and scores of aircraft began dropping sonar buoys into the water to ensure that the submarine remained visible. Several Astute-class submarines fired off a volley of torpedoes at the Far Echo Islander vessel. At the very least, revenge would be theirs.

“Captain Vruzel, a lieutenant ran up to the tower. The UAV just spotted the 3rd covert launching torpedoes at British Londinium vessels! What are your orders?”

“Scramble the JAU-64’s and F-35’s; launch 5 waves of cruise missiles at 2 minute intravals. Give ‘em what they got comin’. Move the entire fleet closer and have them be led in by the dreadnaughts, then battleships. Hold the carriers at 25 miles out with a battleship escort for each carrier. Get moving!”

“What about the Buddha C.’s; the Grand Arbiter just declared war on them too.”

Official Communiqué

To the Confederacy of the Far Echo Islands:

It has come to my attention that you have not only torpedoed my naval fleets, but are proceeding to launch cruise missiles at my vessels. Already, two or three frigates have been sunk. I hereby order you to stand down at once and withdraw your declaration of war against British Londinium immediately.

Failure to comply will result in both the execution of your former Grand Arbiter, who remains in Londinian custody, and the reinvasion of your islands. Whilst our first 'visit' to the Far Echo Islands might have remained relatively bloodless, the second incursion will be remarkably bloody and brutal.

I have no desire for war with the Confederacy, but I will not hesitate to glass your islands if you insist on this reckless behaviour.

Sincerely,

On the bridge of the battleship I.D.S. Charger, Grand Admiral Hyzy stood at the helm. "What's our current position?" he asked.
"About 170 miles, sir," was the reply.
"Increase to full," the Admiral ordered.
"Sir! Message from Admiral Thrantis! He has engaged an enemy sub fleet!" cried a lieutenant as he burst through the door.
"Contact the Challenger and request orders," said Hyzy. "We must reach Nova Pictavia, and aid our allies!"
Smoke billowed from the Charger's funnel, as she led the entire Delkorian Grand Fleet towards Nova Pictavia...

"We're not retreating, we're just advancing in another direction." - General of Army Douglas MacArthuer

16:21
The enemy formation just appeared out of nowhere like ghost. Whether or not they were was a different matter. Maybe due to the immediate appear-and-fire bit of their forces their aim was far off, or maybe because of lack of quality of their submarine crews, most of the torpedoes missed. A quick order of dropping lower into the sea and the submarine armada was saved, except for four unlucky ships that didn't respond fast enough. The order, since their payload had been released, was to begin a blockade of Sterling.

The hovering Su-47's flew over Inversee, but they noticed a complete riot going on, closer inspection showed that the Londinum troops were attacking the city. After receiving word from the command headquarters they moved to attack Sterling, a second strong hold, but on the way to not bomb any unnecessary targets, as the nation would be rebuilt after the war.

The hovering transport planes began their flights, their payloads headed for the the fallen Novan capitol city, to regroup and destroy the enemy. On the ground already, the elite Samurai began their march to Sterling after being ordered by their com links to attack the city, the war would be done well, and over, so few lives may be injured.

To the British Londinum Government

We wish to know if you are for our neutralizing of militant terranism, or just land grabbing? We can clearly see with our satellites that you are not helping the Novan government.

Daniel Heusen and Dr. Jules Hodz were sitting with each other again, although the location had been changed. They were sitting in the Situation Room. Generals and other high-up military people were crowded around the table.

"What the hell's going on?" Heusen asked. "You told me this wasn't a threat."

"And Terranism isn't, for now. The threat is the Buddha C fleet. It's attacking Nova Pictavia, and, coincidentally, British Londinium, whom we consider to have a sort of alliance with." Dr. Hodz said.

"But why should we help the Pictish?"

"Perhaps we can force a regime change."

"Betrayal? We'd be helping them ward of the Cnians, and then we'd attack them? I don't like it."

"Regardless," said Admiral Jakes, "We must assist the Londii. Now."

"Right. Four fleets, now. Get me absolute eyes over the place. And get a fighter wing there."

"Yessir." Assorted generals and admirals got up and communicated the orders.

Four hundred aircraft were headed into the fray, largely ahead of the naval fleets getting underway. High above the fighters, and slightly closer to the battle was an E-3 Sentry AWACS and an E-8 command aircraft.

Inverness, Nova Pictavia

Inverness... hell. On. Earth.

As torpedo after torpedo slammed into the harbor, huge explosions tore gaping holes in the cities naval defenses. A 'Swiftsure Class' destroyers along with a further two 'Champlain Class' missile frigates and four 'Lionfish Class' frigates were disintegrated in the overpowering attack. The seventh and eighth fleets were now crippled. They knew they would not last long- caught between the betrayal of the Londinian Fleet and the barbarians. Their counter-attack was swift and all-consuming-

"SIR, ORDERS?

Commander Kilik just stood there, watching the show of fire unravel before him in his home. He blinked, then saw a frigate torn in two by another torrpedo. First the betrayal by the Londinians, now this... Suddenly, Kilik sprung into action;

"Scramble F-35's aboard the carriers, target the Londinian fleet. Have the AV-Wraiths target the Londinian ground forces in the city, I want the hell bombed out of the bastards! Do we have a lock on the Cnian subs?"

"Yes, sir, we got them when they opened fire"

"Bring up the Spirit Class subs, fire at will, and order the remaining Swiftsure Class to follow suit with its torpedo tubes"

In a matter of seconds, the sea was filled with the retaliation. The six Pictish subs unleashed their payload from their ten torpedo shafts each, while two more torpedoes sped away from the remaining destroyer.

"Were not done here yet, give me anything that's still operational here"

"Four Champlain Class missile frigates, two Lionfish Class frigates, one swiftsure Class Destroyer, two Carthage Class Air Defense Cruisers, and the carriers. The Eighth Fleet's carrier is badly damaged though, Sir."

"Order everything to open fire on the Londinian 13th Fleet, I want their troops stuck in that hell hole. Fire all cruise missiles at their troop positions, Spirit Class included"

"Yes Sir!"

His aircraft tore through the sky overhead, some eighty of them. Kilik could taste the smoke in the room already, it was everywhere outside. The fizzling sound of the missiles departing the ships filled the air, until they were defeaned by the sound of the Lionfishes' massive guns. The enemy would suffer.

*****

One Kilometer off the Londinian Position, Inverness

The second Pictish Division in Inverness was the first to hear about the Londinian betrayal. And they were not happy. Mortars began raining down on the fortified Londinian positions, while the AV-Wraith's overhead unleashed payload after payload.

"Have the Challenger-II's charge, I want that Londinian line broken ASAP, follow the armor column with the PACHIS, were not going to lose any ground if we retreat, those Londinian bastards will feel the squeeze"

Captain Riley's eyes narrowed. he was really, really, mad. Really.

*****

New Pictish Parliament, Inverness

Immediately as the Londinian troops broke in, they fell right into a fortified squad of NPAF soldiers, armed with Polaris Arms, Pulse SAW weaponry. They tore the Londinians to shreds, but were overrun in under a minute. The Londinians were just too many, and too well organized. A soldier burst into Galan Mckays office, pulling the desk to barricade the door behind him; he was the last from his squad, and he was not going down like the rest of them. There was no way out. The ministerial aircraft had left with the First Minister as soon as the Cnian attack had began. And the lone soldier didn't think the Londinians would be too happy when all they found were scattered documents and a bloody trooper.

Balls, balls balls!

Cheif Intelligence Officer Alipinefir sits at his desk. This movement, Terranism, had already managed to get a war going in full force, and the Empire had still not declared a position. Pro-Terranist rallies were going on in Celtitheist and Celtichristian colonies like Enscirya, Ieurla, and Velz. Pagans, Enviornmentalists, and Granola manufacturers were in a frenzy. So far, movement in the Senate supported going to war on the side of the Terranist crusaders, but many legislators were against it, considering that a heavy involvement could cause serious damage to the Empire.

Pictavian Parliament House

One hundred more soldiers poured into the Parliament Building, sweeping every corner of the building for a Parliament member, who, once found, would be promptly arrested.

Meanwhile, a squad of twelve soldiers advanced on the First Minister's office, kicking down the door. The lead soldier, a young female corporal was caught off guard by the presence of a rather disheveled Pictish marine who shot her in the face. The rest of the squad quickly opened fire on the man, their AEK-971 assault rifles blazing wildly.

Ministry of War
Kensington, British Londinium

Sir Alistair studied the satellite feed displayed on the primary monitor intently. He could see the pitiful counterassault the Pictavians were launching, and he could see his navy unleashing a hellish storm of Aster anti-shipping missiles, and the Phalanx CIWS anti-missile systems unleashing a hellish storm of lead as they swiftly caught most of the missiles.

"Status report, Mr Crompton," he said impassively. "A satellite image does not an update make."

"Of course, Consul," the War Minister replied promptly. "The 13th has done a remarkable job repelling enemy attacks, though we've lost a carrier, the LVS Ayr, and two destroyers, the LVS Bedford and LVS Devonshire."

"And for the situation in Inverness?" the Consul asked.

"Urban warfare is our specialty, sir," Elliot replied with a smile. "Allow me to illustrate."

The image of the raging naval battle with hordes of F-35s and A-10s strafing the Pictavian fleets as massive naval cannons shelled enemy positions faded into blackness, to be replaced by an extremely-close up satellite feed of the city of Inverness, where scores of enemy Challenger IIs dueled with the Army's M1A1 Abrams tanks. Fireteams of marines steadily advanced down the city's main thoroughfares, their M202A1 Flame Assault Shoulder Weapons incinerating the resistance. M270 rocket artillery systems pounded the scant enemy defensive fortifications, whilst Rapier FSCs steadily picked off the enemy fighters.

"As you can see here, Operation Azazian Pomposity's ground component is going ahead as expected. Estimates from the field put our current losses at five hundred and six."

"Not good enough, Mr Crompton," Sir Alistair said coldly. "We ought to have overwhelmed these fools by now. The fact that there is still resistance shows to me that you did a miserable job in preemptively taking them out."

"My apologies, sir," the War Minister replied back nervously.

Bay of Inverness, Fleet Battlezone Alpha

The crippled Trimaran Carrier finally gave into death as another Londinian missile tore through it's deck. The shrill screams of the crew echoed on the DAB comms network as the sailors were burnt alive...

"This is the NPF Sparta, we have taken critical damage and are going down, repeat, this is the eighth BattleFleet flagship, the NPF Spata, abandoning ship!"

The two Carthage Class Air Defense Cruisers intercepted missile after missile heading for the only remaining carrier. The NPF Fallen Liberty must be defended at all costs.

"Sir, only 30% of missiles against the Londinians are achieving their target, in a matter of minutes we'll be outflanked and outnumbered"

"Contact the six Spirit Class Submarines, priority targets are their carriers. I want a group of the two remaining Lionfish Class and our Swiftsure Class to target their missile ships with their main guns, I want a clear retreat for the Seventh Fleet"

Yes, Sir!

Commander Kilik took in a deep breath and gazed out over the orange sea before him. he could smell the death from here, this was total war, and they'd have to get out of here before the Cnian fleet decides to join in the fray. He kneeled down and began to pray for the pilots of the F-35's getting massacred out there...

"Sir, another Champlain Class has been disabled, and another has failed to fight the fires below deck, she's going down too Sir. A Lionfish Class reports a hit, unknown casualties, they're burning up, Sir..."

While the cargo carriers, assualt ships, and troop transports were off-loading, Imperial warships, battleships, and frigates powered through the sea toward the naval battle.

Line Captain Charles Leonoix orders his flotilla, " We're to assist the Picts by bolstering their flank, and covering their retreat. I want the Caledonia-class ships to bulk up the middle line, the Bering-class missile ships and blastboats towards the rear, and Cyrenaica-class ships to the fore. We're going to need a strong barrage to damage their vanguard enough, thats the responsibility of the gunships, and the rear line. Clear? Battle stations!"

The crew rush to their stations. A naval artilleryman looks out onto the blazing sea on the horizon. That was where this fleet detatchment would fight for the retreating Terranists. Hopefully, he thought, the fleeing eco-socialists would lend them a bit of a hand before they high-tailed it.

It was clear to all the commanders, even the officers, that the Londii were attacking the major city. But it was also clear that the defenses were overwhelming. Due to the sheer force of numbers the Su-47 Burkuts wing had to be reverted to attack the Fourth and Fifth fleets at dock in Stirling, but they would wait till the Seawolf backs would torpedo the enemy.

The fifty-two Seawolf submarines moved quickly up towards Stirling, going full speed till they were in torpedo range. "Full Stop, target in site. Fire two salvo each, men." A salvo consisted of eight torpedoes. With this math eight hundred thirty-two torpedoes had been launched, full movement towards the large target that was the Fourth and Fifth Pictavian fleets. Overhead three hundred Su-57 Burkuts fired a total of a hundred air-to-surface KAB-1500 missiles at the two Aircraft Carriers. (Keep in mind this is after the Submarine attack so your Air Defense Cruise would atleast be CRIPPLED.)

Back at home base five Blackjacks flew high above the sky, their RADAR signature was minuscule, while their escort of two hundred MiG-35D's was not. The attack was simply and would be executed with ease. In the air just outside of Sterling the airborne division dropped their men, seven thousand troops that met up with the-just-arriving Samurai forces. They began building a trench system all around the city of Sterling, for the coming hell.

To the trapped and decimated commanders of the Fourth and Fifth Pictavian fleets docked at Sterling

Admiral Thrantis stood in the control room of his submarine. "Did we hit anything?" he asked.
"Four confirmed kills," replied the sonar opperator. "All other fish missed the targets."
"Damn," muttered Thrantis. "I hoped that our suprise attack would have damaged more subs." He began to pace the room. "Alright," he said after a moment. "Reload all tubes and prepare to fire another salvo. Do we have a targeting solution?"
"Trying to find targets," called the sonar opperator. "The enemy subs went deeper when the detected our attack. Wait," he paused with a hand on his headset, eyes glued to his screen. "I'm reading contacts, about 34 of them. Same subs as before."
"In range?"
"Yes sir! Enemy subs are in range!"
"Good," said Thrantis. "Prepare to fire." The Delkorian submarine fleet repositioned itself for another shot at the enemy. "Steady, steady, FIRE!" The fleet fired another full salvo of torpedoes at the enemy formation. This time, the sub crews had taken the time to carefully aim the torps, and they headed straight at the Seawolf subs...

Meanwhile, the Delkorian Grand Fleet was steaming towards the battle at full speed. Grand Admiral Hyzy smilled as he watched the radar screen. So many targets, he thought. Fire" On cue, the sperical gun turrets aboard the Cyrenaica-class ships begin spitting out a channel of deadly projectiles into the oncoming planes. Firefighting team scramble on deck, attempting to thwart the flames. Getting up, Leonoix signals to the deck gunners to fire at the planes. One assailing aircraft smashes into the Transoceanica's bridge. Alarms blare, and the ship picks up speed under no ones control, towards a gunship, the Icebay. He shouts to the ranking officers nearby "Get to the secondary bridge, now! Before we hit another ship!" But it was too late. The second sentance was drowned out by the collision, which shook the deck, sending Leonoix overboard. Kravians ran from the impact zone as the Transoceanica began to tilt with a metallic groan. Captain Peirioc Tanwood asumed command in the Seconday bridge. "All vessels pull out, all vessels."

The Seawolf packed had been followed, and they knew it. Eighty submarines wasn't easy to hide, and they used this to their advantage. As they heard their enemy had begun firing their torpedoes at them the order was given to emerge. It was a long three minutes as they were fired upon, thanks to their change in position casualties had been largely averted, except for nine submarines that had been hit from the many incoming torpedoes. They were now exposed to the Pictavian fleet, though that wasn't really a risk due to their true decimation. Now if the enemy submarines wanted to hit them, they have to emerge.

Overhead the three hundred Su-47 Burkuts watched like hawks as they fired another two hundred KAB-1500 missiles at whatever ship was still standing, or posing a threat to the submarines. (VOID this part if the fleet surrenders.) Above those Su-47 two hundred MiG-35D's were spotted, though the five blackjacks couldn't be seen as they flew over Sterling. "Over target, deploy weapons." Was the command, and they did so. Five hundred and eighty-five bombs were dropped. All caring either Napalm or white phosphorus, the Napalm would level the city to the ground, and the white phosphorus would burn anything that was flammable, including humans and buildings.

*The message from British Londinium arrived on the Grand Arbiter’s desk.*

The Grand Arbiter had time to rethink how he felt toward British Londinium as a weak satellite feed showed the retreat at Inverness.

“Why the hell are they attacking British Londinium ships?! I only said to attack Buddha C ships and forces. Damn it, why can’t I get communication with first fleet?” The Grand Arbiter yelled at the sectary of the Navy.

“Sir, I don’t know, sir.” The 41 year old replied with undertones of fear.

“There’s gona be court martials when they get back!”

The Grand Arbiter sat on his computer for about 5 minutes and then printed out a message. “Put the seal on this and send it off to British Londinium.”

To Whom It May Concern:

I, as the Grand Arbiter of the Confederacy of the Far Echo Islands, never approved a state of war nor police action against the nation of British Londinium. There is no declaration of war to withdraw. I have issued a declaration of war against the nation of Buddha C. It is possible that your ships are being caught in the crossfire between our fleets, but I have issued no permission to attack your vessels. If it is proven that my military commanding officers have issued orders to attack your vessels they will face court martial when they arrive back in my country. I regret this breakdown of communication has caused the deaths of some of you citizens.

With deep regret,

*Port Inverness, Nova Pictavia*

The flagship of the 1st Defensive Dreadnaught Fleet moved in to the harbor, still with out orders from a higher authority than a Commodore, they unleashed the terror of their 100 150mm cannons on to British Londinium and Buddha C. ships alike. 50 caliber machine gun fire desperately ripped at passing aircraft, and torpedoes cut the water like explosive sharks. Overhead a critically damaged CFEI F-35, easily identified by the traditionally aqua camouflage colors that they were painted, fell in a death spin, by some twist of fate the dying bird slammed into the tower of a Buddha C. carrier. A return fire shell came at the dreadnaught; it slammed into the bow and ripped a huge hole in the deck. As the rest of the 1st DDF moved in, followed by the 1st-10th Tactical Battleship Armadas, the battle began to just turn into hell, absolute hell on the water. And to think that the second fleet would be there in about another hour, now several amphibious vessels tried to move into the harbor to land troops at the beach. Most of them were met with shelling and torpedo fire but several made it.

*Aboard Commodore Ivakazni’s submarine*

When he signed up for the 113th Amphibious, Lieutenant Kevin Jyvak expected to be going through hell and back several times so he could have that logo on his uniform, but this might just be suicide. But orders were orders and he and Raul Ikayci clambered into the torpedo tubes and awaited the jolt to launch them into an underwater version of hell.

Kevin’s whole body jerked as he was launched, he felt that he was going to die, but then reality came back as he rose to the surface. Raul followed similarly. They looked around for an option, and they saw it in a British Londinium destroyer nearby. They dove and took breaths from their rebreathers, and moved toward the ship.

Once they were at the side of the ship they began to set up a shaped plastic explosive slightly below the waterline. Once the plastic explosive was in place, they dove under the ship, and hoped it would not be torpedoed, and emerged on the other side nearer land. The pair swam up to a dock and took refuge under that. Then Raul remotely detonated the plastic explosive. The blast was massive but directed into the British Londinium ship. “Holy shit.” Kevin said to Raul as they dropped off their scuba gear and checked their MP7A1’s.

OOC: So now that I've blockaded the port I've effectively trapped CFEI ships. I'll eliminate the need for Court Martials...

IC: The Akimonadite Fleet, detecting the CFEI fleet, unleashed a hailstorm of weapons at the fleet. Four hundred Chimera missiles and two hundred Mark 48 torpedoes were fired from the ships. The P-8 Poseidons above dropped sonobuoys and ten more torpedoes.

The fighters took a break from flying around to fire off fifty Chimera missiles at the ships trying to land at the harbor.. The fighters resumed engagement of the CFEI aircraft, letting loose one hundred AIM-9s at whatever was left. The ships joined to, lighting up their Phalanx and Goalkeeper CIWS and firing off one hundred RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow missiles.

The CFEI Dreadnaught Fleet would be decimated.

*Flagship of the 1st Defensive Dreadnaught Fleet*

Akimonad shells slammed the Dreadnaught, and the ship began to lisp heavily to its starboard side. The dreadnaughts all began to fire dozen 460mm cannons at the Akimonad vessels. Other various caliber guns let loose volleys as well. The sheer number of shells being released did quite a number on the Akimonad vessels.

One dreadnaught took a torpedo hit to the ammo cache, and mostly exploded into nothing. It did not look favorable for the CFEI vessels.

Sea sparrow missile flew off the sinking hulks to support the pilots in the skies above. The battleships made a run for the Akimonad blockade. They aimed to open a mode of retreat for the loosing ships. Flags were no longer paid attention to; who ever got in your way was to be destroyed. Most helpful were the carriers, which were behind the blockade, and still had the ability to launch cruise missiles, did so en mass at the Akimonad blockade.

Kirav, check my earlier post for my fleet listings. Take command of my 1st and 2nd scouting groups, Vice Admiral Joath. Let a few ships get hit/sunk, its ok.)

Will do.

"Change of plans men, we're recieving reinforcements. Commander Redleaf!, abandon ship, but leave a minimum crew here to keep this thing afloat. We're switching command to the Interminant."

On board the Interminant Captain Tanwood(Yes, CFEI, he is related to Ambassador Tanwood. They are members of the same clan.). contacts Vice Admiral Joath. "Admiral, thank you for coming to our aid. We need a few of your ships to work with our blastboats and protect our damaged commandship until it works itself free of wreckage. THat should take about half an hour. with present estimates. Meanwhile, have the majority of your ships follow mine, and we'll leave the engagement zone to the SOuth and regroup."

And it was done. The Kiravian blastboats and the Delkorian ships managed to hold off the AA artillery long enought to get the Transoceanica and other damaged ships out, but at a cost. 2 Delkorian ships and 4 blastboats were lost, and many damaged.

With the two fleets out of the danger zone, Tanwood invited Joath to the flagship to discuss the next course of action.

--

Amidst wreckage, and the slowly sinking hulks of ships, Charles Leonoix and several other Kiravians and Delkorians struggle to stay afloat. An Imperial soldier sights a glint of hope on the side of a captzised blastboat. "Sir, It's a lifeboat, two of 'em!" The surviving seamen labour to free the boats from that ship, and from as many others as they could find. Those that could not fit hung onto the edges of the small boats as they were paddled towards the fleet.

Admiral Hyzy frowned as he read the situation report from Admiral Joath. Two ships lost, he thought. Still, it could have been worse. He walked to the front of the bridge. "Position?" he asked.
"We are in max gun range," replied an officer. "I have several ships targeting the Pictavian Fleet in the harbor."
"Those are now our targets," Hyzy ordered. ""Contact the Challenger and inform Tirus of the situation. Signal all ships to target the attacking fleet and prepare to fire on my command. And contact the carriers! I want fighter cover, NOW!" The 14 battleships moved into position to fire a full broadside. Massive turrets rotated in position while the giant barrels rose up to aim at the Akimonad fleet, while the carriers began to launch their entire complement of 144 brand new F-14D fighters...

Aboard Carra class dreadnaught Oreqis (2nd fleet)

Admiral Turecvmi paced the bridge, he pondered what was going to happen when they arrived in the port Inervness; they had just received orders to go there when they were nearing Sterling. The new orders placed had them taking down the Akimonad blockade, which was odd because they were not at war with the Akimonads. However, intelligence showed that the Akimonads had engaged the CFEI ships first, and that was unacceptable.

The dreadnaughts were slow, but time seemed to pass too quickly as Akimonad ships came within range of cruise missiles. “Fire when ready.” The Admiral told the fire control teams who sat around him. They relayed this message to the other ships in 2nd fleet and an amazing trail of glowing missiles left, close to a hundred to them, as they moved at supersonic speeds toward Inverness and the Akimonad vessels. To first fleet they would be like guardian angels, coming to save them from death.

To first fleet they would be like guardian angels, coming to save them from death.

The radar showed numerous incoming missiles. Not a huge problem for the group, because with three hundred-odd ships, CIWS was not in short supply. The CIWS activated, filling the sky with lead. Chaff was shot into the sky to deceive the missiles. If that wasn't enough, RIM-162s and RIM-116s shot out to intercept the missiles, blowing up most of them. Five slammed into four corvettes, downing them. The decks of three cruisers were burning as well. Another missile slammed into the deck of a carrier, blowing up the ten planes on it surface and ripping the deck apart.

The admiral was unfazed. "They know we'll retaliate." he said, opening a small plastic lid and pressing the red button it covered. A computerised voice chimed in. "Khans have been launched." it said. A thousand of them, headed for any CFEI fleet in Pictish waters.

"But let's not wait around for those." the admiral said. "Reload and fire."

Forty torpedoes were fired at the fleet, as well as one hundred more Harpoon missiles.

IC:

*Aboard Carra class dreadnaught Oreqis (2nd fleet)*

“Launch second wave of cruise missiles, 3, 2, 1, Launch!” Weapons commander Lieutenant Vozi called across the bridge. Another wave of over a hundred cruise missiles set off for the Akimonad fleet.

“Missiles inbound, lots of them sir, activating CIWS!” Navigation officer Lieutenant Pesa told the admiral as he watched the radar. The defenses of the 162 ships that had CIWS or other missile defenses were no match for a thousand big anti-ship missiles. But the admiral believed in luck, and that day he was wearing his father’s lucky necklace from the revolution in which he had fought in 30 some odd years ago. And so the Oreqis was lucky. However, the majority of the fleet was not. The dreadnaught Pqan was blown to shreds by the missiles that hit it. It took only 10 minutes for the sea to engulf it. The Aegis class destroyer Heikils capsized moments after being hit. Admiral Turecvmi estimated the losses to be 40% of the fleet. And then came the torpedoes.

Some ships jumped as much as two meters into the air, others simply began to sink faster, and some took on water and stayed afloat. A torpedo hit the stern of the Oreqis, the massive ship pushed the bow into the water for a moment. Then the ship was damaged, but only a few water tight compartments had been filled. However, 60% of the fleet was sunk or damaged beyond usefulness, and 95% was damaged in some way or another.

“We can still launch the third wave.” The weapons commander said, obviously shaken by the attack.

“Make it so.” Said the admiral, but only about 50 missiles launched this time.

*Aboard Virginia class sub Wathoe 2nd fleet, 1st Covert submarine armada*

“We are within torpedo range, Commodore Hawings, request permission to fire.” Weapons commander of the Wathoe, Lieutenant Steven Oywlyz called out.

“Permission granted.” The 1st CSA would be revealed by firing torpedoes, but the other two armadas would remain hidden until later.

"Pound them to pieces." the Admiral ordered. The three superdreadnaughts' total of sixty anti-ship guns turned towards the remainder of the fleet, and specifically the Oregis. The guns fired, sending shells towards the crippled fleet.

"Sir, missiles incoming. Torpedoes incoming to the Alfas."

"The Alfas can handle themselves. As for us, the CIWS should do a good job."

A missile slammed into the destroyer close to the flagship, igniting the Chimera missiles the destroyer held and blowing it in half.

Most of the missiles this time lunged towards three of the assault ships, putting them out of service (either sank or damaged severely).

In the Alfas, the situation was not any better.

"Torpedoes ahead!" screamed the sonar operator.

"Emergency blow!" the captain commanded.

The subs, in near perfect synchronization, lifted up quickly and shot out of the water, while dropping cartridges below them that contained dust that would hopefully cloud the torpedoes. It was good enough for most torpedoes, but two subs were blown apart by the remaining torpedoes.

"Fire, I want these subs on the bottom."

Forty torpedoes shot towards the sub armada.

In the flagship, the attack had subsided.

"Our move." the admiral stated. "Fill the water with sonobuoys. I want to see this hole harbor."

With that, ten P-8 Poseidons lifted off from the carriers and dropped sonobuoys in the water, hoping to reveal any subs that were hiding.

Aboard Carra class dreadnaught Oreqis (2nd fleet)

“Within cannon range,” Weapons commander Lieutenant Vozi said happily, “Should I fire?”

“Make it so.” The Admiral said.

The Oreqis had 3 sets of two 550 mm cannons that it could fire any where it liked, and a pair were devoted to bow or stern, and since the Akimonad fleet was dead ahead, 10 of the over half meter caliber shells came sailing at the remnants of the blockade every 3 minutes. In those three minutes, the Oreqis could put off dozens of 140 mm rounds from her 4 cannons of that caliber that could be directed at the enemy. Slowly, the Oreqis and the other four dreadnaughts that remained turned to broadside the fleet. The firing of all 14 of the 550’s at once shook the ships dramatically. However, this was adjusted to. The 140’s seemed to constantly fire as the automated control systems made is so that for every salvo fired another was ready, and fired immediately. The battleships and destroyers that remained moved up to form quite the defensive line of ships, despite being short on numbers, and the sounds of the cannon fire may echo through space in some form or another for eternity.

What aircraft carriers were left tossed up aircraft of all manners like there was no tomorrow, which in this case, there might not be, and they aircraft weren’t usually 1000 feet up when they launched their first anti-ship missile. F-35’s,‘Tigerclaws’, and harriers did well to doge sea sparrow missiles, but they were not perfect, the Admiral’s heart wrenched each time he saw a hulk of burning metal fall to sea. EB-86 Prolwers tossed radar jammers and the likes of other electronic warfare into the fray, as well as sonobuoys which picked out submarine targets and relayed them to the C3 vessel which relayed them to the rest of the fleet. The dreadnaught Yiyea moved forward and began moving along the line of the Akimonad fire, taking severe damage, but laying a mine perimeter that would assure nothing got through without severe losses. The mines were magnetically triggered so if any metal object came within 3 meters of it the explosive would detonate. They were packed tightly, but they used plastic explosives so as to not be set off by the other’s explosion.

CIWS droned on and on against the various projectiles incoming, but, there were simply too many. Large shells slammed into the hull of the Oreqis, and several other ships, the Oreqis began to take on more water, but stayed afloat.

*Aboard Virginia class sub Wathoe 2nd fleet, 1st Covert submarine armada*

A torpedo sailed into the midsection of the Wathoe and ripped it to shreds. Through drowning sea water the crew still managed to get another eight torpedoes out to the Akimonad vessels direction. All the crew was lost.

*Aboard Virginia class sub Upik 2nd fleet, 1st Covert submarine armada*

Capitan Cristobel Ialan ordered the launch of more torpedoes at the Akimonad vessels. He knew it was foolish, but the sonobuoys impaired stealth capabilities and quite frankly, the Captain wanted to sink more ships. 22 torpedoes left the Upik before one impaled it. It’s fate was the same as the Wathoe’s.

Official Communiqué

To all nations involved in this truly destructive conflict,

We ask for an immediate cease-fire with the People's Sovereign Republic of British Londinium, and their lap-dog, Akimonad.

The war-like nature of the Cnian military will surely consume any assets you acquire in Nova Pictavia, regardless of a non-aggression pact. Your troops have fought admirably, however your forces are sandwiched between the Allied naval assets of Delkor and CFEI. Your troops in Inverness will surely face defeat with no ground left to run to.

A cease-fire and coordination of our resources against the war-machine of Buddha C would be in the best interest of both of our peoples.

Please respond with your conditions of acceptance.

Rousse spread his arms in order for the aide to fit his body armor correctly, his gaze still set firmly on the Field Marshall before him,

"Initiate Operation: Constant Grasshopper, Field Marshall Adrian. You have my blessings. May Holy Terra grant your fallen warriors a place in eternal peace"

The underling simply nodded and left the war-chamber, his footsteps echoing from the marble floor, up against the large sandstone walls. Rousse brushed the two aides away from his side and pressed a key on his computer,

"Order the strike, open all conventional silo's against the Londinian and Akimondese fleets. Commander Macca, you are back in control of this facility, godspeed"

Rousse picked up his ceremonial claymore and admired it for a second, watching the light glisten off the steel and diamond surface. he sheathed it, and fixed his eyes on the light of the doorway before him. War had come to his homeland, and he would damn-well be there to fight it. he picked up his Polaris Pulse Rifle with one arm and strode through the doorway towards the CH-47 Chinook waiting outside for him.

A squad of guardsmen were already inside, armed to the teeth. Rousse was headed for the hellfire of Stirling...

*****

"OPERATION CONSTANT GRASSHOPPER IS GO, I REPEAT, GREEN LIGHT FOR OPERATION CONSTANT GRASSHOPPER!" Screamed Field Marshall Adrian,

"Commander, I trust the runways are clear?"

"To the best of our abilities, sir, any runways which suffered direct hits have been re-routed to carriageways and commercial airsites. Cnian orbital platforms are being tracked and locked should they come in range again. The Strategic Missile Base will have them if they so much as blink at our direction"

"Good-"

Field Marshall Adrian was cut-short by the roar of the conventional ballistic missiles and cruise missiles which were leaving the Fort's several silo's at that moment. Working in coordination with the Strategic missile Defense base, Londinian troops, ships and lap-dogs would be burning alive within the hour.

"Commander, your concentration please!"

"Sorry, sir!" the man replied, returning his attention to the Field Marshall

"Scramble all the F-22's, and follow them with an accompaniment of seventy AVA- Joint tactical bombers. Priority targets are the Londinian and Akimondese fleet. I want air superiority immediately! Order a full encirclement of the Londinian forces and begin shelling their positions with white phosphorous explosives, I want their ranks thinned for the charge, AND GET ME TO GODDAMNED INVERNESS!"

Already some two-hundred F-22 Raptors filled the sky, ready for combat. The Londinians would suffer for their betrayal.

The Grand City of Stirling, Hiigaran Highlands, Northern Hiigara

An assault similar to Inverness had been expected for some time now. The majority of the fourth and fifth fleets had begun to rendezvous with the Delkorian fleet when the attack began. The complement which had been left behind included six spirit class submarines and a sorry collection of four frigates. The frigates had been incinerated immediately by the unstoppable torpedo attack.

Every available fighter had been scrambled in defense of Stirling, and they were more than enough. The skies were thick with Pictish F-22 Raptors, dancing just above the orange glow of the Grand City.

As for the navy, the submarines knew they were heftily outnumbered. High Commander Rousse had already relayed his orders, en-route to Stirling: The Spirit group simply lied low, deploying sonar buoys to track the Cnian sub-fleet, while the Grand City's Fortress de Costera unleashed its counterattack of some thirty torpedoes.

This is Grand Admiral Hyzy, of the Delkorian Navy. We will honor the cease-fire called between our ally, Nova Pictavia, and British Londinium. BL naval forces will not, repeat NOT, be targeted by my Fleet.

---------------------

"No response from the enemy fleet," reported the radio officer.
"Very well," said Admiral Hyzy. "Signal all ships: Target the enemy fleet and fire on my command!" As the gun crews made ready, Hyzy looked out to the sea. Now it begins, he thought. "FIRE!" The ship shuddered and a deep roar filled the air as her massive 18" guns opened up, firing in anger for the first time since the Charger was launched. Seconds later, the rest of the fleet opened fire. Dozens of 18" and 14" shells were sent flying towards the enemy. Our first engagement... Hyzy looked towards the fire control officer. "Reload and prepare another salvo. Fire when ready!"

---------------------

"Admiral! The enemy subs are surfacing!"
"Damn!" Thrantis banged his fist on the parascope housing. "Fine. If they want to fight up top, then so be it. Surface the boat!" he ordered. "And reload all tubes!" Several long minutes later, his Delta-class (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Delta-classPatrolsubmarine.jpg)sub broke the waves. Thrantis climbed out on top of the sail. "Get me a bearing on the enemy subs!" he shouted back into the hatch, while the remainder of his 80 sub fleet either surfaced or ran at parascope depth.
"Changing course to intercept the enemy!" came a reply from below.
Thrantis looked through his binoculars, trying to spot the enemy. "Show yourself," he muttered...

"This is a time for war, diplomacy may save or end lives, but this time, this time is for war." - Cnian Combat Reporter Mikeal Sway

05:29
The Seawolf pack saw the enemy before they saw them, ordering in the birds. Soon one hundred Su-47's attacked the enemy submarines that had been foolish enough to show themselves. They brought the gift of one hundred KAB-1500 Air-to-Surface missiles aimed precisely at the enemy submarines. Along with this their machine guns opened fire at the enemy submarines, their bullets scattered about, hitting the visible enemy on the surface of the water, or perhaps, by accident, the unseen submarines that laid beneath them. Meanwhile the Seawolf pack silently creeping into the port at Sterling, hiding beneath the wreckage of the former Pictavian fleet. (Basically to mask their presence, so RADAR or SONAR couldn't tell who they are. Not because they know that you deployed Sonobuoys, just a sleathly tactic.) Though do to thirty torpedoes three more submarines had been damaged.

Moments ago satellite pictures showed that a mass of movement was heading north, towards Sterling. A declaration of war was sent to the nation and people of Nova Pictavia. Telling them that the full might of the elite Cnian armed forces would be brought to bear against them. Describing the grand power of their Armored Fusilier forces, their blood-thirsty Air Cavalry units, and their supreme Naval assets. The grueling faces and bodies of every Cnian soldier, every man (or near to 100%) was fit like a bull, their muscles budlging from their work on the homes of their farms, the intense training, the lengthened marksmanship training they recieved. Their equipment, dragon skin armor, and not to mention their training in Pictavian military terms. (Just basic Pictavian language that would cover 'Attack Left Flank' Blah, blah, that your commands would say. Not actual full comprehension of the language.)

Meanwhile at home their reserves were brought to war, forty million trained troops began their training, perhaps being drilled more than the regular standing army they began their training to be called to war by their leader. All ready twenty-eight full divisions of mechanized airborne infantry, air cavalary, and engineers were being prepared to be flown over seas to fight the war (364,000 troops). Their escort would be a massive air wing of some thousand to two thousand MiG-35D's, Su-47 Burkuts, and MiG-29 aeroplanes. A smaller invasion of eight full Marine divisions, armoured, mechanized and infantry was being planned for Hiigari (120,000 troops), that would be a naval endeavor.

Earlier over the skies of Sterling the MiG-29's had encountered a small contingent of Pictish airplanes, the brief time before they attacked the coming F-22 raptor. The main body took only eighteen casualties, largly thanks to chaff and flares, but a group of thirty MiG-29 planes broke off from the main group to attack them, firing two R-77 missiles themselves. Later over the sky's of Sterling one hundred sixty-two MiG-29(Or MiG-35D's, cant remember which I sent) had launched four hundred eighty-six R-77 (NATO Report name AA-12 Adder) air-to-air missiles, then speeding up to Mach 1.9 and the MiG-29 squadrons attempted to get close in with the enemy aircraft as to best utilize their 30mm cannons.

To the Pictavian Government

Even now your city of Sterling is burning, even now our troops are gearing up for war. Hundreds upon hundreds of thousand of Cnian troops are ready for war. With a highly trained military nearly equivalent to a sixth of your population, you will feel the true pain f attempting to spread the disease of terranism threw out the word threw violence. Of Fusilier divisions will ride threw the gravel of your cities, burn the existence of your people. Wipe your violent religion off the face of the earth. Become a Cnian colony, and save your people from extinction.

In response to the Cnian threat:

Terranism has never threatened your nation or the sovereignty of others. We pledge only to defend our brethren against the discrimination and genocide they face abroad.

Your purpose in this war is flawed, and as such the sovereignty of the Pictish people's will be fought for for a Pictavia free from Imperial rule.

Unless Buddha C halts their expansionist and prejudicial ways, this war will not halt. We offer a fair cease-fire in the name of peace.
It is not us who will be remembered as the war-mongering destroyers, it is you.

"Operation: Constant Grasshopper has been succesful in Inverness, Sir"

Commander Rousse sheltered from the flames of the Cnian Napalm underneath the wreckage of a church;

"Good, Initiate Phase two. Begin moving the Second and Third Fleets northwards, have them link up with the allied fleets. I want the east-coast free within the next few days. Have all the Spirit Class Submarines link up to form a single battlegroup at the redezvous point and await instruction"

Another bomb annialated the building opposite the church, spewing dust through the windows. Rousse shielded his eyes but continued relaying the orders:

"Have every fighter available from Inverness move north, refueling if necessary, we need everything we've got right here. And have the AVA-Joint Tac Bombers sweep the bay, dropping as much ordinance, depth charges and torpedoes as possible. I want those Cnian subs either scared out of hiding or to besieged to do anything at all!"

"Yes, Sir! Orders relayed!"

High Commander Rousse picked up his Polaris Pulse Rifle and jogged head down towards the church door, the bombing had ceased and was replaced with the collosal dog-fight taking place overhead.

"MOVE OUT!' He screamed, holding the hefty door open for the men with his massive, bear-like frame, "I want any paratroops or survivors found and killed immediately, and get those SAM sites online, LETS GIV' 'EM HELL, MEN!

"That many? Whoa." - Astonished Cnian Naval Officer

The Su-47 birds had been recycled to refuel their planes, but still able to break away if need be as the jets hovered over each other, their willingness to battle was extraordinary. Their brothers in MiG-29s continued their brutal fighting over Sterling, loosing twenty-six more aircraft to the fighting. (Your casualties?)

The satellites continued to take pictures of the movement, Operation Heathen Execution was a go. Seventy battleships (Iowa-Class, Hood-Class, just a random assortment of ships with big guns) began their journey to seas between Iverness and Sterling. Along with them went forty Anti-Missiles Destroyer boats. Their former hulls were that of Artleigh Borkue (sp?) destroyers, but had been stripped down and CIWs (Or whatever you call them) had been placed in every available place. {{Isn't your second and third fleet still under attack at Sterling? Plus I launched a few hundred torpedoes at your fleet that's docked there.}}On the other side of the nation, a battle group of twenty-eight Iowa-Class battleships, fifty-six Arleigh Burke destroyers, eighteen Chakri Naruebet helicopter carriers, six Nimitz-class super carriers, and two hundred forty Harpers Ferry class transport ships lay in the center, this fleet heading towards the Southern most island.

The air was full. They blotted out the sun wherever they flew, they were a menace to everyone. Military advisers cried due to their sheer military beauty, street vendors cursed as they blot out the sun, sending the children running for their parents, not buying candy as they had planned. Troops saluted the air formation. Two thousand C-130J-130 transport planes filled the skies, protected by a blanket of metal armed to the teeth. Two thousand Su-47 Burkuts, and one thousand Su-17 suicide planes flew besides them. They would be ready and able to take every missiles headed in their direction.

"Damage report!" yelled Admiral Thrantis.
"Minor hull breach in the bow!" reported an officer. "We're patching it up now!"
Thrantis climbed back onto the sail. He looked out at the remains of his Fleet. At least 32 subs were sunk, most of them being the older Cappa-class (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Cappa-classexcoutsubmarine.jpg). All the rest had some sort of damage, bullet holes, sails blown off by missiles, etc. He looked around at the carnage, then grabbed his arm, covering the bullet wound. "Damn," he muttered.
"Admiral?" a voice from below called. "We're getting a message from the Challenger (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Challenger-classTypeCBattleship.jpg). Tirus wants an report."
Thrantis looked down at his boots. "This will not be good," he said to himself...

To the Utopian Forces (Delkor, CFEI, Kirav):

I thank you once more for your valiant defense of our homeland.

We have once again sued for a fair and equal peace with the aggressors, but they are intent on the burning of every single Terranist within our borders. So far, we have fought bravely and victoriously to defend our freedom. However, all the effort in Hiigara will be in vain if we cannot repel the Cnian invasion. satellites have identified movement from Cnian shores. They're sending a battlefleet.

We must band together under a single banner to coordinate an effective defense, and if possible, destroy the Cnian fleet before they have the opportunity to land. Crippling their fleet would insure the safety of Holy Terra.

The survivors from the Fifth and Sixth Fleet Task Forces are en-route to your position to provide reinforcements. All other available NPF Vessels are leaving dock and heading to rendezvous at Inverness.

Godspeed, gentlemen.

"REPORT!" Bellowed Rousse, who had assumed total control over the operation in Stirling,

"Sir, all SAM sites are operational and firing, the enemy bombing seems scattered and random at best. Fifteen of our AVA-Wraiths and F-35's are reported down, but they were first on the scene and outnumbered. A further three F-22's have been lost, they're faring a lot better. The Attack aircraft are now begining to target the enemy bombers while the fighters provide cover."

"Excellent, what of their submarines?"

"No word yet, although they certainly wern't detected leaving the bay's perimeter. Unmanned Scout subs have been dispatched to investigate the reefs, coastline, inlets and wrecks for sign of them. "

"Good, what's our stance if they move out?"

" The Grand City's Fortress de Costera is armed and ready to deploy torpedoes as soon as they have a lock. We have six Spirit Class lying low on the seabed at the moment, ready to move in at the first sign. Another eighteen should arrive within the hour to secure the perimeter. The AVA Tac. Bombers' are torpedo armed and ready, they'll move in as soon as we have confirmation"

Rousse, satisfied, turned his attention to the sky, where the battle overhead was still raging. The SU-47's were significantly easier to target than the F-22's, despite their velocity.

"Have the reserves airborne, and order the aircraft from Inverness to engage on contact. I want every last one of those bastards finished"

"Yes, Sir! One more thing, sir, we're failing to combat the blaze from the napalm, sir, a large section of the downtown area's lit up real bad, sir"

"Don't worry, they can't hold out much longer up their, they're outnumbered, outmatched, and outgunned, and they have no reinforcements within a thousand miles. As soon as we have air superiority, order in the CH-47's, blanket all effected areas and evacuate any stranded civillians. In the meantime, get as many away from the centre of town as possible"

Both men stopped to look up as the reinforcements hit the fray: A further thirty F-22's had been scrambled from nearby airfields, although this wasn't too impressive. The bulk of the reinforcements came from 'Operation: Constant Grasshopper', which delivered another one hundred aircraft, encircling the enemy.

"March, fight, kill the enemy with a baby in their hands or they'll kill you." - Cnian Special Forces Marine

14:03
Over the air the MiG-29's hadn't took too many casualties, their huggings tactic to the F-22's was effective, due to the fact that if any SAM were to be aimed at an MiG-29 when they were close to an F-22 would be risking both success at downing a plane or shooting down one of their own. Though a total of sixteen more birds went down as they had allowed their targets to gain enough space to be targeted by SAM missiles. Meanwhile the Su-47 Burkuts had made the decision to fly towards Inverness after refueling one last time, with a rendezvous near the incoming battle fleet. The Su-47 Burkuts had about seventeen of their own planes shot down by SAM sites, but due to their off-shore situation they had largely averted death.

Meanwhile the incoming paratroops armies of a total of five thousand planes flew past the Su-47's as they skied threw the air to their destination. The large group of aircraft had ordered some their guarding aeroplanes to launch missiles at any concrete runway, military or other wise. The battleship fleet continued to cut threw the ocean as they aimed their scopes at the middle of Inverness and Stirling, they would slaughter anything. This war was started to save lives as peacefully as possible, but now the high command knew force had to be used, and it would be.

Now at the Marine Transport fleet the oceans were calm, everything was peaceful, though at high alert, ready to launch craft, fire guns, use the CIWs missiles at any moment. The hundreds of thousands of men and personnel held their breaths as they waited to touch sand on the beaches of the Southern Island. It would feel good after being cramped in this hell hole of a boat.

The transport planes made for a far easier target than the extremely agile Su-47. The second wave of F-22's, some three-hundred in total, were now airborne with the transports and their escort aircraft in sights. The Grand City's Anti-Air facilities continued to concentrate on the mass of transport planes in the air, who while greatly outnumbering the F-22's were running out of tactics to avoid the incoming ground to air missiles. Rousse was beginning to doubt it if any of the Paratroopers would escape. his concern was swiftly shifted back to his outnumbered air-force.

"Do we have an ETA on the re-entry of the first wave to combat yet?"

"Within the half hour, sir, their nearing operational airfields. As for-"

"Sir, casualty report just in! A rather hassled looking administrative soldier interupted, "Eleven more birds have fallen out the nest, we're picking up survivors but the air was so thick with debris many of their shoots failed..."

"S'Alright, son" Rousse continued "Just make sure a single paratrooper doesn't let his boots touch Pictish soil!"

The newcomer nodded and left, and Rousse's gaze once again was fixed on his Lieutenant-Commander.

"Sir, as I was saying, we've ID'd the Cnian Subs in the bay, although I think they never detected our unmanned scouts. The Grand City's Fortress de Costera have dispatched some 50 torpedoes heading for their location, while our Spirit Class submarines have fired everything they've got, 240 more I believe. The fifty AVA's have dropped as many charges and torpedoes as they can but their accuracy is severely limited, Sir. All the same, they're sitting ducks."

"Good work. Raise the saltire, this nations fully mobilizing as of now"

Commander Kadesh was granted full on-site command of the 'Retribution Fleet' by High Commander Rousse. Although not grand in numbers, in terms of equipment and technological superiority the Hybalt Defense Industry Vessels were second to none. The Pictish Fleet joined their allies just outside of the main fleet's range.

"Order the Carriers to stand by, F-35's may be scrambled at any moment. In the meantime, order all the Champlain Class to open fire with their eight-inch ET Naval guns. Prioritize any enemy vessel with missile countermeasure facilities. The Champlain's range is second to none, and I want the opening shot on this field!"

"Yes Sir!"

"Meanwhile, order all ten Lionfish class to prep their missile suites. I want all their GK28E Vertical Launch Missile Launchers and GK26 missile launchers raining hell down upon every goddamn Cnian vessel in that fleet. have the Swiftsure Class Destroyers take point, evasive maneuvers as soon as the enemy opens fire. The Swiftsure's are more than fast enough to avoid the Iowa's fire."

"Yes, Sir, orders to the Carthage Classes?"

"All four to open fire with their twin eight-inch ET guns, then load and fire their Quad Canisters MK 41 VLS's, followed by their GK26 missile suites."

Kadesh paused while he looked at the enemy fleet gathered on the horizon. Not even a hundred ships could withstand the barrage coming their way. They had eighteen 8-Inch ET Naval guns aimed at them, followed by a further 700 state of the art anti-shipping missiles.

Kadesh hoped they'd already made peace with their maker.

IC: Red Tidean Coastline

It had taken awhile to get everything ready, the silo's were already in place of course, but the Mobile Missile Launcher Regiments all had to report in 'ready' before being utilised. Then the launch occured.

There had been no decleration by the TSRT at all, there was seen as no need. All across Red Tide, CMX-5X InterContinental Cruise Missiles erupted from missile silo's and mobile launchers. The missile would fly high for most of the run, diving low just outside enemy RADAR cover to fly under the aforementioned RADAR, over land at least, the missiles would be visible on the flat sea.

It was ten hours before they appeared on the various fleets around Nova Pictavia RADARS. They were approaching the Pictavian coast from a position which neither fleets weapons could reach. They were headed for the largest Pictavian city NOT occupied by either the Londiniums or Buddhist C's.

In each missile cone were 1,200 cluster munitions for each missile, 25% of the missiles carried high explosives, the remaining 75% carried incendiary warheads.

There 2,958 missiles(there had originally been 3,000, but a couple of dozen had been lost in the long flight). If they reached their target, it would burst into flames.

OOC: TSRT, Sterling is the second larges city, and it is bombed by Buddha C forces, but not occupied, so would you direct the missiles there?

*Aboard Colombia class carrier Klevon, combined 3rd and 4th fleet near Sterling*

“Let ‘em up!” was the command called via radio from the flight control tower. In response, a catapult tossed up a JAU-64 Tiger claw multirole fighter jet. It was one of 450 airplanes on the mix of carriers and some that flew in with midair refueling. Destroyers, Carriers and other vessels near Sterling they were holding about 40 miles offshore, they had set up an anti-ship-submarine mine parameter around the 3rd and 4th fleets. Anti-Air cruise missiles flew into the air form all kinds of ships. The flight deck was blown with jet wash as a harrier took off and whizzed by.

*In the skies of Sterling*

A poet would one day write in an epic about the Utopian Crusades:

…And so, on that night,
The skies of Sterling
Bore the color of their name.
Like swords in the hands of gods
Fighter jets crashed and slashed at one another,
Their silver fuselages gleamed as rings and crowns over the city,
Adorned with ruby gems made from fiery explosions…

The poetry of the future was not on Air Captain David Oenso’s mind; surviving the next five seconds. The sparrow missile cut the sky and it would not leave. He jinked right, then left, but to no avail. The JAU-64 was quite maneuverable, but not all too stealthy. The Air Captain threw the plane into a dive and emerged at 2000 feet, missile alarm silenced. His attention instantly turned to the Buddha Cnian fighter that had shot at him. He maxed out the Tiger claw’s climb rate, and rolled back over, barrel rolled left, which put him within range of the fighter and on its 7 o’clock and waited the 1.5 seconds as the computer loaded the target data onto the missile; needless to say, that was an extremely long 1.5 seconds. The missile streaked through the sky at nearly mach 3, even longer than the previous 1.5, this two second in translation from one aircraft to another was even longer. But it was most worth it; the missile slammed into the enemy, and he burned for a half second, then before he could even eject, the plane exploded into shrapnel.

Then, out of seemingly no where, another Buddha C jet came from behind and destroyed his wingman, and David climbed thousands of feet trying to get a target on the assailant, so did the Buddha C. pilot and they became locked in a life and death vertical rolling scissors. The battle for Sterling had became in a perfect gridlock, with neither side loosing more than the other, and neither making advances on ground, air or sea.

*Aboard Iowa Class battleship Qvero, 1st, 2nd, 5th and Retribution Fleet.*

The big guns fired and cruise missiles and planes launched from around the fleet. Grand Admiral Ian Worziosan wished that he himself could be at the gates of hell just to welcome the Buddha Cnian forces that would die that day and find themselves there.

Council Chamber, Haven, The Thas Coast

"We must aid the Pictavians!", cried a bearded councilmen. "Our alliance must be honored!"
"Nonsense! This is crazy!", another shouted. "Nova Pictavia is obviously the agressor in this conflict! Look at it! They practically declared war with their arrogant crusade!" This last comment brought on a roar of protest from the other end of the chamber, where the supporters of the war had been grouped. Chief Councilmen Kasdi sat in the middle, the other High Councilmen seated behind him. He raised a hand as the council chambers erupted into shouts of anger. Gradually the respective sides stopped shouting at each other and fell silent. Kasdi took a deep breath, and spoke.
"Fellow councilmen, I must remind you that we are in an alliance with Nova Pictavia and they were attacked. They did not fire the first shot. Instead of diplomacy, other nations reacted to their declaration of Terranism with war. We may bicker an argue over the subject, but I think we cannot argue over these facts. So, vote. We cannot argue over the finer points of diplomacy and treaties while an ally burns. There is a time for action. Or have we grown so complacent and lazy that we would not hold to the ideas of honor that have bound us together?" His voice echoed in the silence.
"Now, shall we vote?" They did. 128 voted for war, 79 against. Motion passed. The order had already been given to amass the fleet outsidethe war zone, in international waters. The rendezevous was not yet complete. But it was getting there.

Onboard the I.N.S. Tilures:

The anti-aircraft guns aboard the Tilures were firing full force, taking Cnian jets out of the sky, but with difficulty. It was hard to tell weather a plane was Cnian or an Allied nation's. However, they were usually able to discern and then take the identified plane out of the sky.

Onboard the I.N.S. Superiority

The Kiravian main battlefleet, accompanied by the Delkorian flotilla, finally reaches the Cnian naval force. Attacking with blastboats, gunships, and destroyers in the front line, they began to fire upon the Cnian ships with full force. Working their way in, they were able to damage the fleet and formation, but at a cost. Two gunships and a frigate were cnsumed by flames before sinking to an aquatic grave. Still, the flet fought on. The I.N.S. Thalassocracy managed to take on two ships at once. The oucome was still unclear, but the Kiravians were making small advances.

"This is flight Epsilon-1, Epsilon, calling to the Free Man, Free Man, come in, do you copy...?"
The fligh of 30 Thas planes arrowed over the open ocean, approaching Inverness. They were flying as high as they could to try and avoid being shot down. Their orders were recon duty, not to be a strike force. Still, they were armed. Just in case.
"Loud and clear, Epsilon-1. Current position?"
"Approaching Inverness. RADAR's been detecting alot, so there's definatly alot of...shit!"
"What?"
"We have a visual of Inverness and the harbor, sir. My god..."
"What's the status?"
"It appears that British Londinian forces are moving away from the battle. There appears to still be heavy fighting in the harbor, though. The city itself looks...well, you can imagine. It's worse than the Battle of Thymer 15 years ago."
"No shit?"
"Nope."
The flight continued to soar over Inverness, radioing back information and praying that the enemy was too preoccupied with the fighting in the harbor to target them...

Out at sea, the fleet was ready and going at full speed to Inverness. The flight decks of the carriers were jammed with planes fueled and ready. The activity barely paused when a flight of 5 planes (4 escorting, one transporting) broke through the clouds and landed. High Councilmen Javerlir had arrived. As soon as he reached the command bridge on the Free Man, he sent out a message.

"To the Pictavian Command. This is the carrier Free Man heading the Thas Coast force. We are entering the area around Inverness. What are your orders?"

*Port Neo Savannah Naval Base, Carbbeia Province, the Far Echo Islands*

The sea breeze tossed the newly redesigned flag in the air sun was just so that it was not garishly bright or too dark. The waves crashed on the nearby beach and the dry dock was especially clean. The missile armed battleship sat ready to be launched, it was the 10th of its kind, these beautiful, advanced weapons of war, beautiful, yet deadly. The 1st lady, Carolina Norse, was there to christen the ship EIS Irrawaddy. Out in the harbor sat the other nine:
EIS Adĕlie
EIS Tucuxi
EIS Hector
EIS Dusky
EIS Bottlenose
EIS Daufuskie
EIS Hourglass
EIS Risso
EIS Orca
All 10 of the ships then headed out toward Nova Pictiva, ready to fire their Tomahawk cruise missiles when they detected a target within 2500 km.

Rothesay, Hiigaran Hebrides

"Sir, unknown missiles incoming, they were just detected coming in low from the west coast. They've descended from an unknown location"

The Strategic Defense Network exploded into a frenzy of movement which installation *Fifty-Seven had never experienced before. The commanding officer of Fifty-seven turned a very pale shade indeed, his voice breaking ever so slightly into a panic...

"Activate the SS Laser system, deploy countermeasures and notify the NPAF Centre of Defence of the attack! ...How many are incoming?

The operator held his hand tightly against his ear-piece and tapped a few buttons on his keyboard,

"Approximately three-thousand sir, give or take a hundred. Counter-measures are deployed, lasers will be charged in twenty-six seconds. Sir, I've got an incoming transmission from the Third Fleet as well-"

"Patch it through, now"

A large screen opened up the video-feed, which displayed the Commander of the Third Fleet Battlegroup. Compared to Installation *Fifty-Sevens CO, he was remarkably calm...

"We've picked up and began interception of the enemy cruise missliles. We beleive they're headed for the city. The following countermeasures have been deployed;
Sixteen Mk 44 "Sea Sabre" Combination Anti-Missile Defense Systems engaged,
Sixteen GR-23A CIWS Systems tracking and firing,
Eight Gk-22 "Aqua Arrow" Combination Anti-Missile Defense Systems engaged.

All Rapid fire turrets have also engaged the CM's, Enemy casualties are incoming...

...Three-hundred and Eighty-Seven confirmed kills, Installation *Fifty-Seven, the rest is up to you. Third Fleet Out"

The screen went blank, and Fifty-Seven's CO's eyes widened... Further...

"Anti- Ballistic Missile system's are all go, sir, Seven hundred and fifty surface to air missiles have been deployed from installations *Thirty-six through to *Sixty-one. Success report expected shortly, Sir"

"G-good, s-soldier... continue..."

The CO placed his hat firmly on his head, turned heel and ran out of the room. Then out of the base. Then out of site.

"SIR!? BOLLOCKS!"

Screamed one rather pissed-off lieutenant-commander,

"Erm, lieutenant-commander, we have between six-hundred and nine-hundred more estimated kills, reports are hazy at the moment. I've assumed command of the SSl-ABM system, all units are prepped to fire in this installation"

"Good, engage them as soon as they're in range. Reload all batteries from this installation and re-engage" The new CO ordered,

"....Batteries reloaded.... one-hundred and twenty more SAABM's deployed from installations forty-eight through sixty-one. Third wave will likely only be from us, fifty-six and fifty-eight, sir...

"It'll have to do. Have all non-essential personnel evacuated to the bomb-shelters. Raise the air-raid sirens and get as many aircraft off the ground as possible. Minimize losses by any means necessary.

"Another two-hundred kills, Sir, engaging third wave and SSL-ABM's, they're right over us, SIR-"

A massive explosion cut the operator's words short, followed by several more around the base, consuming the new CO in the screams of his men.

SHIT!

Everything went quiet as One-thousand Four-hundred and Twenty-one ICCM's hit Rothesay.

Official Communiqué

To the Totalitarian State of Red Tide,

Approximately Fourteen-Hundred Inter-continental Cruise Missiles exploded over the Hebrides's City of Rothesay today. These missiles, along with a further sixteen-hundred which were intercepted, have been traced back to your territory.

Rothesay is burning, while there have been a total of twenty-thousand estimated civilian deaths, a further expected ten-thousand due to the inferno and one-thousand military deaths.

We also wish to inform TSRT that eight missiles landed on the third-largest primary school in Rothesay, burning some eight-hundred under twelves alive.

The Commonwealth of Nova Pictavia is allowing exactly twenty-minutes to state your intentions towards our nation before war is officially declared against TSRT.

IC: Official Reply from TSRT Government
"The strike was launched in retaliation for an attempt to delegitimize the government of the Totaliatarian State. About fourteen hours ago, a unauthorized protest by Terranists was conducted in the city of Narmonovgrad. As the protest was unauthorized, the Intellegince-Commissarat broke it up. All individuals who did not resist have been shipped to labor camps, all individuals who did resist have been liquidated*.

The General-Secretary suspects that your nation kindled the protest in a attempt to begin a general revolt against our administration. Therefore, the attack was a retaliatory measure. We will not conduct any further hostile acts as long as no more hostile acts are conducted against us."

The fleet weighed anchor and made for Inverness. The fleet arrived behind the other fleets, blocking them in.

"Hold here." the Admiral ordered. The fleet stopped about two miles from the ensuing battle. "Open torpedo tubes and aim big guns. Load everything but do not fire. I repeat, do not fire." The order was carried out. The large barrels of the super dreadnaughts trained themselves on the nearest ship.

The fleet paused, and all movement ceased, the ships becoming entirely still.

About fifty miles away, a huge wing of P-8 Poseidons (approx. 100) screamed across the sky. The lead plane ran its engines to full, and it shot past the others. The torpedo bay of the plane came open, and the pilot aimed his plane at a ship. The torpedo fell away from the plane, splashing into the water and streaming towards the ship. The ship was a Cnian ship.

To: The Utopian Commonwealth

It has come to our attention that the warmongering nation of Buddha C has elected to attempt an invasion of Nova Pictavia. We can see no diplomatic solution to this, and should the Cnian forces succeed, they will rape and destroy Pictavia. We will assist the commonwealth in discharging these warlords if the entirety of the Commonwealth agrees to a non-aggression pact with the Autocratic Federated Empire. You have one day to consider our offer.

Official Communiqué

Official Response to the TSRT,

The Pictish government reinforces the fact that we had no correspondence with any Terranists in Red Tide whom were planning any form of civil disruption. Your attack, however, has constituted in the destruction of tens of thousands of civilian lives. Such a crime will be met with retributive strikes unless our terms for a non-aggression pact are met. We demand an immediate payment of One-hundred Billion USD (Or near offer) in reparations for your unprovoked attack, and additionally (Although Optional) that all Terranist refugees and detainees within your borders be transferred to the Utopian Commonwealth immediately.

Failure to comply will constitute as a declaration of war against the Utopian Commonwealth, and in turn against the CHA and EVIL alliance (Should they choose to intervene).

To the Autocratic Federated Empire of Akimonad;

In the spirit of the EVIL Alliance, we accept your terms for a non-aggression pact. As a fellow alliance member, we recognize your attack on Cnian forces as just and welcomed.

While the other CFEI and Kirav ships moved to the designated locations, the Adĕlie class ships, still over 2000 km away, began launching missiles.

“Confirm, confirm, this is EIS Hourglass, confirm Buddha Cnian ships on radar, ready to fire, requesting permission to fire.” Capitan Zerksee called to the admiral aboard the flagship EIS Adĕlie.

“Confirmed EIS Hourglass, fire when ready, EIS Bottlenose will be coordinating strikes with you. All other Adĕlie class ships are barred from firing until further notice.” Called back the admiral.

“Confirmed, target transferred and locked. Primary ignition sequence started, hold, launch in 5, 4, 3…” The radio cut off to static, and all around there was the massive noise of the launch of Tomahawk missiles; 200 at once, truly an amazing sight and sound. It pushed the ships launching them 2 meters deeper into the water than normal and two suns filled the sky for a brief second. They flew at high speed toward the Buddha C. ships.

OOC: I'm declaring this war officially over anyway. Buddha C seems to have gone completely out of contact, so not knowing if he'll be back to this at all, its over. Also, TSRT Terms are accepted Icly. As for Buddha C, until we hear from him I'm going for the arc that his fleet was damaged and retreated, culminating in a peace-treaty. All is shiny. Now lets get around to flattening Ryou.

Also, I'm very gracious to everyone who came in to defend Nova Pictavia. You are all real allies.
