Space Station Commission

The Imperial Space Station, also known as Starfield, has been in operation for 3 years, and has been the jewel of Kirav's space program. The Empire is now allowing 25 foreigners to live aboard the station during the next 5-week crew shift.

Requirements:

◊ Only one space station occupant is allowed per nation.
◊ The occupant MUST be a scientist, engineer, intellectual, educator, or reporter(Restrictions on reporters apply.). No royalty, celebrities, or other persons UNLESS they are involved in the aforementioned prfessions.
◊ Occupant must be in good physical condition. The Empire is not liable for any injuries related to the effects of outer space on the human body.

NOTE:

◊ Acceptance is not on a first-come, first-serve basis. Candidates will be selected by their merits.

◊You will not be accepted/dismissed immediately after your application, as with Embassies. The list of accepted persons will be published AFTER the EMpire has reviewed all applications.

Name: Zachary Wallace Tyrone III
Nationality: Far Echo Islander
Age: 35
Occupation: (From most recent) Marine Biologist, Weapons Designer, Astronomer.
Achievements in their Field: Engineering the prototype Tyrone model II 10mm pistol, soon to phase out his grandfather's Tyrone model I 10mm pistol. HE was the first to observe the recent X-B0-21897 supernova. This learned him much about the early phases of a supernova.
Motive for application: Despite a recent career change to Marine Biology, the idea of being an international ambassador for his country motivated him to go to apply for this mission.
Status of Space Exploration in their home Nation: On November 3rd 1993 the Far Echo Islands launched its first manned mission into orbit; it was a non-reusable rocket that was used for a decade after. Now the nation uses a reusable rocket, via which Mr. Tyrone will arrive at the space station. Despite a fairly long time in space, the Islands have never been able to scrape together enough funds for a fully functional space station. All this is organized by Far Echo Islands Space Exploration Coalition (FEISEC) .

Prince Getzalf, Sèr Tyrone, and Sèr Arnold have been accepted for consideration.

Alfegos: The Empire apologizes, but Starfield is a purely scientific research station, and we will not be conducting any space-military projects there. However, the Empire does have a space weapons development program, and we'd be honoured to consult with Colonel Revisiton.

Occupation: Green Hawk Sukhoi Su-47 Berkut pilot
Acheivements in their Field: Has flown many missions where she had to fly her plane into space to destroy old Green Hawk satellites and has a Ph.D in Aerospace Physics. Has written several papers and even two books on flight (one of which has received several awards). Even though Henna has yet to enter "real" combat flight she is one of the most respected pilots in all of Green Hawk.
Motive for application: Orders from the Air Force General to offer her skills to other nations in order to gain more relations with them and she has always said that she wanted to be an astronaut all her life. Highly motivated and ready to work.
Status of Space Exploration in their home Nation: High. Flown about twenty-two missions into space, nineteen of which were successful. Has also flown even more missions in high orbit.

Acheivements in their Field: LBG Three science and art reporter, having received a multitude of journalistic awards, including the coveted Scientific Correspondent Prize.

Motive for application: Finding content for LBG Three's ongoing documentary series chronicling global space exploration.

Status of Space Exploration in their home Nation: Highly advanced, with a large space station (capacity 10,000) in far Earth orbit, in addition to a sophisticated satellite network.

Name: Liu Xhagne
Nationality: Dian People's Republic Citizen - although if actual nationality he is a Xian National (a provincia of ICCD - each provincia is in a way like a different 'nation' because it is a different culture or people but they are all united via the bigger ICCD / the empire and republic.)

Occupation: Robotics Systems Engineer and Designer - currently employed by Infrastructure Services in a Senior Role - is also a reservist for E.S. and holds some medical certification such as CPRABC, DEFIB, and Emergency Surgical, Survival training, and 6 years in Military SErvice where he graduated from Imperial Military Acadamy with a Masters level Mechanical Engineering Degree.

Acheivements in their Field: Doctorate in Mechatronic Systems diseration
'Human Robotic Interfaces and Machine Culture as a mechanism for dialouge'
has written multiple papers in various journals. Previous employee of NovaSphere Energetics for work on Energetic EM self adapting intelligent robotics array systems for security usages.

Motive for application: would like to go to space, and have first hand experience for 0 gravity usages of robotics.


Status of Space Exploration in their home Nation: Currently has little flight experience - only on ultralights and commercial helicopters. As part of his 4 years at NovaSphere as an apprentice and team member he was in NovaSpheres underwater lab for approximately 3 years, with most time devoted to the project. So he is use to confined spaces for long durations.

Relative Fit and Bright person - but very dull sense of humour.

Acheivements in their Field: He helped with BSOD project, sattelite that studied the oceans, tracking currents and climate' change's effects on them.
Motive for application: Help expands the study of oceanography in space
Status of Space Exploration in their home Nation: Well, ESA tech level. However, New Brittonia has very few plans to send humans into space, and the NBSA, the New Brittonian Space Administration, has its focus on Earth Science, instead.
