President Keith Sheridan walked slowly up onto the podium. He looked around at the assembled media in the conference room and gave a little grin.

Slowly he began to speak. "People of Ceylentis. The time has come to expand our borders. Our ever growing population is in need of more space, more resources. And I have a plan."

He took a sip of the glass of water on the top of the desk.

"Not one hundred years ago did the Republic of Cayrtis fall, and since that time the lands to the east have been left unsettled, unwanted. But now it is covered in woods. It holds plenty of fresh water and the former cities of Cayrtis are but bricks in the valleys. Now is the time to expand. Now is the time to take control."

A news reporter appears on the screens of the TV.

"Hi im George Huntley, I am currently standing outside the Presidential palace in Ceylentis where President Keith Sheridan and Prime minister Richard O'Connell of The Republic of Cevitas are disscussing terms over the Annexing of the lands to the east. As Ceylentis and Cevitas are the only two nations left from the former Republic of Cayrtis the land will most likely be divided between them. As of yet no actual movement of troops into the area has been reported but over the next few weeks nearly 100,000 of our nations 2.3 million CDF forces aew expected to be moved into the area. Oh, but whats this? The President and PM are leaving the building. And have shook hads if you can see that there Tom.

PM Richard O'Connell stood facing the audience. President Sheridan sat behind him.

"Good morning. As you all now nearly 1 week ago, our neighbours, The Republic of Ceylentis announced their plans to expand into the former Republic of Cayrtis. Since that time I have had many talks and debates with President Sheridan and we have come up with an agreement. As the only nations to have been created from old Cayrtis, Cevitas and Ceylentis rightfully own the lands. And so we have come up with Project Phoenix. The lands to the west will be split evenly between our to nations. The land will be rebuilt and reglorified and just like a phoenix rises from the ashes of a fire so too will our nations rise from the ashes of Cayrtis."

President Sheridan stood up and shook hands with the Pm. Then together they signed a peice of paper. Many camera flashes went off as the document was lifted up and shown to everyone.

"Today is a good day for our nations!" Announced president Sheridan.

"Move!" CDF general Mathias Thompson yelled as the 21st CDF Rangers began setting up a perimeter around the clearing. It was a large clearing, big enough to hold to or three Warhound Helicopters.

More troops arrived via parachute into the area. Slowly the garrison of the soon to be "Fort Caytin" Moved up to 790 CDF soldiers of the 8th, 9th and 10th regiments and 75 of the 21st CDF Rangers.

Over the next week towers were put up, tents and a command post set up and a Armoury built.

Within 2 weeks of the Annexiation of the land 5 strongholds had been set up to defend the land. An International border had been placed and an Airfeild was almost finished.
