Alright, I don't have a map (because I don't know just how that works on NS ...), but pretty much here's the deal: if you're RPing as a nation, claim 3 states: Any three states, I don't care if they're all the way across the continent from eachother. The maximum is three at the time, but there is no minimum, so if you only want 1 or 2, feel free. Also, state the name of your new nation and capital city(RL counterpart or feel free to make one up) at this time.

This is just using the geography of the United States as a basic map, much like in Crimson Skies the game, which this is based off of. Your nation, no matter what states it claims, is how you make it. For instance, my nation here, The Atlantic Republic of Nueve Italia, is just using the geographic location of NY, NJ, and CT: it's not those actual states, it is my nation to toy with as I see fit, just like in regular NS. Ok?

Also, as I told Animarnia, please post what you'd like your title to be and your Capital City and you'll be added to the list. Your territories are reserved.

Ok, now that you've signed up, I'll accept your claims, including Rhode Island since it's not all that significant, and for mainly the fact that if anyone else were to claim it, it'd be completely locked in.

I'll take Alaska (As a Colony/Overseas Territory Type Thing), Montana and Idaho, as the Central Provincial Republic of Loneque. The capital will be Black Rose, over modern day Billings, Montana. The Regional Capital of Alaska is Glacier, over modern day Anchorage.

Alaska is used as a drilling place for oil, and it is flown over Canada as part of a deal with them for very low prices. Additionally, the only actual navy of the country is based around Alaska, and it is somewhat substandard. The former state of Montana provides minerals and lumber and agricultural resources, while the former Gem State also is plentiful in resources. As opposed to ships, most of the normal navy is composed of Airships, some actually armed with cannons, although not nearly as strong as a warships.

Would you mind if i took Rhode Island?

Alright, the Rhode Island debate has been settled. RI now officially belongs to Barkozy as the Rhode Island Republic with the capital in Warwick.

Jaredcohenia, Candistan is right: in an earlier post I allowed Ezaltia to claim RI because it isn't that significant in the larger view of things in terms of resources and population, but as Barkozy wanted it, things are now back to their original limits, so it's no problem.

Map has been updated once again, with a little twist: at the top you'll find symbols representing different government types. Here's the explanation about them from Osterstatt, the official cartographer:

you know, generally, when one says "union jack" one is referring to the British flag. threw me off for a second [it doesn't Matter, but this thought immediately came to mind :D]

well, the principality of Angermanland is definitely monarchist. i don't think it's sufficiently one way or the other economically to be capitalist or communist, nor federal or union [if those can be applied to a nation that's not a republic]

feudal system ftw! [which, incidentally can Also be applied to a republic. only difference is whither there's a monarch or not, after all. and a republic could quite legitimately have hereditary nobility with actual governing roles... so long as the leader is not a monarch. hehe. technically, all those 'people's republics' are republics, after all. ]

I'm probably a Union Jack-Style Republic if you want to add that on.
