Clandonia - The Hardships of a Peasant
A documentary by Robert Geston
The documentary opens with a rising sun over mountains and plains. In the distance you can see a village. It seems as if you are viewing an African nation. It goes on to show small children playing with snakes, barefoot, running around. It shows the village, a grouping of huts, people skinning pigs and plucking chicken feathers in front of their home. Suddenly a man steps into view, obviously not a villager.
"What you see here is a Clandonian village. As you can see, they seem to have been left behind by time," he says,"The people here are stricken by disease and poverty. They appear to not even be aware of the ruling body of government and the Clandonian king."
The man begins to walk around the village. In the background you can see a teenage boy coughing up blood, a small child eating uncooked cow meat, and many other disturbing images.
"In Clandonia, the average life expectancy is 12," the man says,"Much of the time this is due to STDs or eating too much raw meat. In fact, it appears that Clandonians do not know how to make a fire, and they often attempt to kill wild cows with sharpened sticks."
Images of Clandonians attacking a bull with sticks, only to be charged and knocked around.
"This is not very effective," the man says again, and random clips are played of Clandonian life,"But why is it so hard here? Why has time not moved forward for this nation? It has been found that dinosaurs still roam this land, while not roaming anywhere else. Clandonians are regularly hunted down and eaten by these beasts. Could this be the reason?"
Suddenly the man is in a testing room, a Clandonian is lying on a table strapped up.
"We weren't so sure, so we decided that we would run tests on them," clips of Clandonians running on treadmills, hitting dummies, fighting lions, trying to swim,"But most of all, we wanted to test their brain."
Suddenly a view of a massive maze is shown. It is obviously too complicated for even the average person to complete.
"We wanted to see if they could find the rotten meat at the end of this maze. If not, they are obviously less than average on the intelligence scale."
Clips of the Clandonia attempting to figure out why he has been thrown into this strange place, then walking around aimlessly into traps and eventually being killed. The audience is likely to wonder why the hell there were traps.
"So obviously, they are less than intelligent, but what about the brain itself?" suddenly back in the room where the Clandonian is strapped up, obviously scared, then scans of a brain comparing a Clandonian to a chimp and an average person,"As can be seen here, the Clandonian brain is smaller than even the lowly chimpanzee. It is a wonder why the Clandonian is even classified as a human being with such a tiny brain. It is even more of a wonder why they have been able to build a so called 'civilization'. We can give the Clandonian credit for being able to use sharpened stick to catch foo-oh wait, chimps do that too."
Back to the village.
"So, it is obvious that the Clandonian is in need of help. We implore all nations to donate money to the nation of Clandonia, if at all possible, so that they may one day live of up to the standards of the world. Thank you."
End.
OOC-This isn't a real documentary, but it might appear to be if someone is gullible. XD
